Hey all im extremely new so i apologize if im posting in the wring area or format but im pretty desperate to get my pc back up and running. I have a ryzen 2700 Gigabyte x470 gaming 7 wifi mobo 1070 hybrid 4x 2666 corsair Any time i attempt to start the computer the fans, leds and gpu power up but i get a led error code 15 on the mobo. I can not enter bios and i have moved and use each ram in each slot. I bought a new cmos battery, reset the cmos pins and removed the gpu and reinstalled gpu. If anyone can please provide some insight or pointers i would be very very grateful. Again i apologize if this is incorrect area or format but i need my desktop back for scho and my sanity.

Ok so I just moved and just hooked up my PC, plugged it in and hit the power button. Nothing happened. Opened up my computer and no power. Got a new PSU and same results. Nothing is happening. No beeping, no fans, no LEDs, nothing. Never seen anything like this. It's like there's no power hooked up at all. I think my motherboard had died but this one has me stumped.

I bought a new laptop for my sister and decided to upgrade it and put an additional HDD, on the process, I accidentally damaged the USB cable that connects the motherboard to the left USB ports. Google search did not help, even the QR code in the cable did not reveal anything, the QR code give me the following code when I scan it CLXDEFC1449024018480 . Please help.

So the case has the ability to buy the AIO radiator at the top but the issue is the motherboard heatsinks are in the way, I already tried removing the heat sink to make room for the Aio to fit, but as I realized it wouldn’t fit I just put the heat sink back, so that won’t fix the issue. But what other ideas could work to make the radiator fit at the top for airflow? Yes the screws holes dont go forward enough so I am unable to install it further up (just so the picture doesn’t confuse you as it looks like I could just move the radiator up) also ignore the dust I am cleaning it as well. ) case is from Corsair crystal 570x the AIO is NZXT Z73 Update it’s the top VRM heat sink that is stoping it from fitting but it could be multiple places.

Hello, soo here is the problem, computer started freezing, buzzing noise coming from speakers about 2 weeks ago ( randomly ). At first i thought it was random crash and didn't even try to resolve it, but it kept happening. At first i thought it was overheating and i cleaned whole pc with compressor and changed CPU thermal paste and reconnected everything but the problem is still happening. Then i thought it's power supply ( cuz it' 10 years old ) and i bought new one, it was needed anyway ( old one was having loud fan problem ) but the problem kept happening. I reinstalled Windows 10, new drivers ( audio and video ) and the problem was gone for day and the half. After that i checked RAM with memtest86 ( i have 4x4 ), my motherboard doesn't support 4x4GB DDR4 at 3000mhz, only 2133mhz ( i am an idiot and didn't check 4 years ago when i bought it ), i ran all 4 sticks for 4 runs ( ~3hrs ) and 0 problems. Problem never happend while gaming, only when i am browsing on internet or when PC is doing nothing, i gamed pretty intense graphic games and never crashed mid-game. I am losing my mind, could it be motherboard, RAM slot ( is it even possible, computer reads 16gb completly fine, once happend it only loaded 8/16 gb and computer beeped 1 short - pause - 3 short beeps ). I am gonna try this weekend to test 1 RAM stick at the time for 4 runs. I hope someone have solution.

I'm going to be buying this motherboard with intentions to use some pre-existing hardware, one of which is my M.2 drive with my OS and everything on it. The issue is that the M.2 drive comes with an RGB heatsink. I would like to not remove the heatsink so I was wondering if it would affect anything if I didn't use the motherboard's M.2 heatsink. Would this affect the performance if the chipset isn't actively cooled like intended? I realize that the motherboard has an M.2 slot on the back but I'll be using the Meshlicious so my GPU will be mounted behind the motherboard and I would prefer to not have my M.2 drive lodged between my motherboard and my GPU.

Hi! recently I bought a new 2GB (800 MHz) ram to increase the ram capacity next to my old 2GB (400 MHz) for Gigabyte "GA-P31-ES3G" Motherboard. everything seemed good but apparently the system was using 400MHz for rams and my system was unstable that even i couldn't install Windows or anything! this morning i couldn't even boot up that i had to remove the new ram i bought. the company itself said that this model of Motherboard does support these types of rams (400 MHz-800MHz-1060MHz) and it also supports dual rams but something strange they said about this Motherboard that i can't really understand what it means: "Because of chipset limitations, when using FSB 1333 MHz CPU with populating all DIMM sockets, memory frequency will be reduced from the original, and system instability or incorrect detection of memory module may be occur. Please refer "Memory Support List" for memory support information." what should I do? just give up on my new ram?

My problem started when I worked out my budget, the X570 Tomahawk was on sale and I didn't realized it. When I went to order it, it had gone up $40. Now I need to go back and check my choices. I still want to go with a X570 (I'm still considering the Tomahawk, but I'm open to other X570s). MSI X570 Tomahawk $257.99 Asus TUF Gaming Plus X570 $197.00 Gigabyte Aorus Elite X570 $199.99 Asrock Steel Legend X570 $217.48 Most of my build is on order or sitting next to me. AMD Ryzen 5900x Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini Cooler Master V850 SFX Gold SAPPHIRE Radeon RX 550 (temporary) Samsung (MZ-V8V1T0B/AM) 980 SSD 1TB - M.2 NVMe ID-COOLING Iceflow 240 ID-COOLING XF-12025-ARGB-TRIO 3 Pack 120mm 2ea, 6 fans total Autolizer Quad 4LED Light Neon 120mm, 1 fan LG 27UL500-W 27-Inch UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS I wonder why the Tomahawk's price went up from when it came out a last year? Were the parts too expensive? Thanks, emcee2

So about a week ago I built my new Mini ITX System in my brand new V8 Case from Jonsbo. I was pretty excited as this was my first small form factor built ever and I just like to building Computers so yeah... I built the System, it booted and I installed Windows, etc. Upgraded my Motherboard Drivers so on and so forth. I then benchmarked it and basically checked if it was stable during heavy loads which it was and went on to play some games. The thing is next day it just wouldn't boot. I was wondering what was wrong and unplugged my PC turned it back on and it just worked. That got me curious so I started the System up shut it back down and tried it again. Same Thing, No Signal No RGG was flipping on in my Case, etc. only thing signaling that something was going on was that my System Fans were Spinning (including the Fans for my AIO) but nothing seemed to work. I then continued to update all my drivers if any were available, reinstall some of them, and even updated my BIOS to the newest version. That didn't do anything which meant taking the System apart to check for any faulty wiring etc. After like a good Hour I triple-checked everything still the same problem. I then continued to rip out every single part that was possible to see if the problem persisted. So I unplugged my GPU (A RX 6600 XT Saphire which I bought from a scalper) tried to start again etc. nothing worked. After a bit more troubleshooting checking my Bios etc. I called Gigabyte up and told the whole story to the Support there which was just as baffled by the Problem like I was. The support guy then asked me to switch PSU's which he patiently waited for (which was like 30min so Props to that guy) and again Same problem. The PC would boot once function completely normal and then when shut down just not reboot. After like 3 tries, he said he would forward my problem to Taiwan and see what they could do about it and that's where I'm at. So my question is if anybody has experienced a similar issue and if there's a way to fix it? My System Specs are: - A B550I Aorus pro AX - Ryzen 5 5600x - and AIO from Artic - an RX 6600 XT from Saphire - 16GB of RGB Vengeance Ram from Corsair - A 750 Watts PSU from Corsair (SF750) - A 1TB m.2 SSD from crucial - All installed in the V8 from Jonsbo as said So thanks for reading the post and any help is greatly appreciated :)

I am currently running a Asus Prime Z370-A Motherboard (user manual; should be page X) with a 250GB Samsung 970 EVO NVMe as boot drive and a SATA SSD and HDD. As I have reached the capacity of both my boot drive and other SSD and HDD, I am looking for a good upgrade and was thinking about getting another (and larger) NVMe SSD. I know that my motherboard has another M.2 slot and and as far as I understand both slots should in principle support NVMe, but there seem to be some caveats with using a slot and the SATA ports, but I don't quite understand what the consequences would be if I would plug in another NVMe in the second M.2 slot and keep on using the two other SATA connections. My understanding is, that in the worst case the (second?) NVMe would be limeted to slower (SATA?) speeds, but in this case I would rather not spent the extra money for an NVMe. I hope someone can help me with this and clarify the underlying consequences for me (and maybe help me with what would be the optimal solution). Thanks a lot in advance!

So a while ago there was a black out after the blackout when I turned on my computer it lit up the tower RGB and the fans started spinning at max. But the monitors and the keyboard aren't working. I was told to take out the CMOS battery and put it back and that worked for the several next blackouts ( yea they happen fairly regularly here). Today it happened again but when I took out the battery and put it back it nothing got fixed. I took a CMOS battery from my old rig. (Same battery) and replaced it it still didn't work. Any idea what's wrong? Should I try to get a new battery just incase both of them are dead? Also the pc doesn't post even without the battery in.

I think i'll buy msi mag b365m mortar just for the look. Also i don't have a gpu because of prices and stocks in Turkey . just wanted to ask if theres any technical advantages of this motherboard. Also which gpu would be best with i9 9900 / 4x8 2666 hyperx fury and 650w psu, 1650 is probably lowest i can go but thats what i can afford in this times.

Hi! So my pc was working til a few days ago when I switched cases, since then it didn't turn on. What I tried: Having a ram stick, 24 pin and 8 pin connected to the mobo (with and without CPU/GPU) and shorting the power on thing on the mobo with a screwdriver, didn't boot. No fan, no psu no nothing. I read that when this fails it's a dead mobo so I bought a new one, it doesn't turn on either with same method. The GPU gets power from both mobo cuz the pins LED light up that it's not connected (red, and when connected it's white). I thought maybe the psu is at fault, but it turns on with the "clip" Thing where I connect the power pins in the 24 pin thing (green and black) so it's fine, and to be sure I tried with an old PC and it powers it. Even if I plug a case fan into the mobo that doesn't start either. I tried every trouble shooting I could find online... My setup : Mobos: b450 tomahawk (old) and tomahawk max (new) GPU:Strix 1080ti ram: aorus RGB psu: evga 650 GQ thanks for the answers

I recently RMA my motherboard because of an issue I was having (it was a gigabyte aurous x570 elite) I got a new motherboard (gigabyte aurous b550 pro) and with this motherboard came its own problem. I plugged everything in and everything turns on, AIO, fans, etc. except the troubleshooting leds on my motherboard indicated that my DRAM memory was not working, with this problem I get no display to my monitors. I have tried: 1 stick of ram in every dimm slot two sticks of ram in every other dimm slot I have even tried four ram sticks at once nothing is working, please any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance, my computer has not worked since christmas following a snowball of problems specs: 2080ti founders edition gigabyte b550 pro MOBO 16gb (2x 8gb) ddr4 ram Ryzen 7 2700x GIGABYTE p850gm power supply (850W 80+ gold) cpu is cooled By duel fan corsair AIO 6 fans including the 2 cpu cooler fan 2 monitors, one is DVI, the other is HDMI (no response from both)

Hi guys, Let me know if I should buy the b460 or z490 mb for my i7 non oc.I've already buy 2*8go 3200hz c16 of ram. Is theire a big difference between 2933hz (if I slow down my ram for b460 mb) and 3200hz in game? Because I have a small budget now, and the price between both cards his hudge! I'm also using a 3060ti as gpu. (Btw sorry if I made some mistakes, we french are really bad at english!) Thanks :)

I do not have an RGB header on my motherboard, but I have RGB fans and an RGB strip. Is there a fix for this?

0. What is my current setup ? My current setup is the follwoing: OS: Manjaro KDE(Linux) CPU: R7 1800X Graphics Card: Gigabyte RTX 2070 Gaming OC RAM: 4x8GB Trident Z 3200MHz Cl16 RGB PSU: 750W from bequiet! Motherboard: Asus Strix x370-f gaming CPU cooler: bequiet! Pure Rock Case: Cooler Master MasterCase 5 Monitors: Asus MG278(1440p 144Hz) Asus VN247(1080p 60Hz) Asus VG245(1080p 60Hz) Soundcard: Sound Blaster Z Storage: 1x 1TB HDD 1x 4TB HDD 1x 1TB SSD(SATA) 1x 500GB SSD(NVMe) The monitors and storage devices got added over time. This is the reason why it looks more like patchwork than planned. 1. What is my goal ? In the following the host system is Linux(Manjaro KDE) and the VM system will run Windows 10 Home I want to upgrade my PC to do the following things: I want to be able to play games at high frame rates on my host system I want to be able to play games at high frame rates on my VM I want to write, compile and run code on my host system I am interested in learning video editing, which i want to perform on my host system Dual-boot is not an option for me. I frequently switch tasks and having to restart the system every time i want to play something that i didn't get to run on Linux is really painful as it causes a lot of idle time in which i can't do anything but to wait for the system to be ready. It is my current situation and the reason why i want to perform virtualization in the first place. My planned virtualization solution is qemu/kvm with GPU passthrough(that's why i intend to buy a new Graphics card) 2. What is my current plan ? My current upgrade plan looks as following: CPU: 1800X -> 5900X Graphics Card: RTX 2070 -> RTX 2070 + either RTX 3070 or Radeon 6900XT/6800XT(depending on which offers more value as a high-end Graphics card) * Soundcard: Sound Blaster Z -> None(i think i can survive with onboard audio) Storage: add 1TB SSD(NVMe) as new boot drive for the host PSU: 750W -> 1000+W(depending on which Graphics card i choose) Cooling: Air cooling -> still air cooling if possible(at most 1 graphics card should be at full load at a time) not necessary but planned for later: add 1 1080p 144Hz Monitor(for the VM) with an optional KVM switch * i tend more to AMD so i can use the new one for the host, but so far the 2070 works fine as well. But of course i would miss out on some features, which are simply not available on Linux, if i choose the 3070 3. What is the problem ? As you can see one important piece of hardware is not in the upgrade plan: the Motherboard. Currently i am not sure which would be the best pairing in my situation. Right now my best idea is the Asus ROG Strix x570 gaming. My situation certainly isn't mainstream at all so i want to ask here for advice on which MB to buy. It has to be available in Germany though
