I recently received this monitor after doing countless hours of research on the best 240hz, 1440p, 1ms (or lower) gaming monitor for my price range (max £700). I like to play apex legends and i need the fast response times and refresh rate to stay competitive. I run the monitor in extreme mode, but whatever mode its set to it does not matter, I always get a blurry image. Im coming from an Asus Tuf 144hz, 1ms, IPS which looked great. I have not changed my in game settings at all and right out of the box this monitor was instantly blurry whilst playing apex legends. I would like to think this is a resolvable issue if I can set the right settings in the monitor, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Hello, I'm upgrading my workstation to 6 monitors and I need 3 more 27 inch monitors with DP outputs. These will only be displaying data and graphs. I'm in Canada and would love it if anyone could recommend anything for this purpose. Cheers!

I'm upgrading to a 6 monitor setup to improve data display for work purposes. (Real Estate Finance). I currently have a RTX 3070 and a 1080ti in my system and 3 monitors (LG 27GL83A-B 27-Inch & 2 complete POS 27 inch monitors). The LG is connected to the 3070 and the other 2 are connected via HDMI & DVI to the 1080ti. By my count even with the GPU's I have, there is 3 DP + HDMI on the 3070 and 3 DP + HDMI + DVI on the 1080ti. I do have access to other 3000 series cards that I can use if the 1080ti isn't good enough for this purpose. Would I have any issues if I bought 3 monitors with DP connectors and plugging those in to get to 6 working displays?

Does anybody know any good monitors for under 100 USD?

Hello everyone, For a couple of weeks now, i notice that my monitor have more and more ghosting than ever. Since then, i try multiple things i found on the internet (such as Overdrive and Aim Stabilizer). Overdrive help a bit but it is still noticeable at low FPS. it's also another issue, in game when i'm at like 90 fps or so, it "feel" like 60 and even lower or when i'm at 144fps, it feel like 80. My GPU is also mount vertically with this Riser : https://www.newegg.ca/p/N82E16812183053?Item=N82E16812183053 Does that could be a major impact on this? My setup is : R7 3800x AORUS RTX 2080 super G Skill 32go 3200mhz AORUS X570 PRO WIFI Thank you a lot!

Hi guys Got a new GPU, upgraded all my systems with the card that came out of the previous machine, had old but totally functional GPU sitting around. Got more monitors as well, did a bad job of planning out available ports. Figured, Well I'll just put the old GPU as secondary in my main system and use it for additional display outputs. It's all installed, properly connected, I've seen images on all 5 monitors (4 plus a projector) with the current config. When I first turned on my machine, both GPUs showed up in task manager. Monitors that were connected to GPU 1 and GPU 2 were working together at the same time, but then still 2 of 5 remained off. I figured I'd reinstall the NVIDIA drivers, but after doing so and restarting, GPU 2 does not show up in Task Manager, and neither of the 2 monitors plugged into are displaying anything, but now all 3 plugged into GPU 1 are displaying. If anyone has any advice on how to get the second GPU to be recognized in WIndows again, and get all 5/5 displays working at the same time, it'd be much appreciated!

Good afternoon all, I have owned an Acer Predator XB253QGP panel for the last two months, and was seemingly happy with it, especially considering it was an upgrade from my old BenQ 60hz TN panel which was almost 10 years old; However, last week I upgraded my PC as my old system could not run Call of Duty: Cold War at an acceptable frame rate. Since this upgrade, and through playing the new COD I have noticed and been extremely uncomfortable with the amount of what I perceive to be ghosting? What I notice, is that through any types of motion, moving the player or animations such as reloading seemingly the environments just blur together and I feel I am seeing multiples of said environmental objects. I have always been sensitive to screen tearing which is why I picked a freesync/g-sync compatible monitor to begin with so it may just be my personal sensitivity, as reviews all seem to be fairly impressed with the monitors performance for the price; however in comparison to my old monitor, I feel that the BenQ actually has less of this ghosting, and therefore almost makes me want to return to it. I am wondering both; whether anyone else has had this issue, or has this monitor and can confirm it is good and I am simply blind; or whether there is any way I can further test/assess if this monitor is just not performing correctly. I have had a few considerations so far with mixed results; - I have played with adaptive sync both on and off with negligible change - I have used both OFF and NORMAL overdrive modes, however I feel that this is more in tune with motion blur or ghosting rather than overshoot - I play COD maxed out with RTX and only obtain 60 - 100 fps, and maybe this is having an impact on my monitors performance? - I have tried the UFO test however do not know how to get any useful imagery/information from this test; when conducting the test on both monitors I feel that my 60hz panel gives a smoother image than my 144hz monitor at both 70 and 144fps options If there is any more information that might be helpful I am more than happy to supply it, as at this point every time I sit down to play a game I spend my whole time assessing whether there is major blur or not, and it results in a headach Have a good one all EDIT: After doing further research, at least for my monitor the presented issue does not seem to be ghosting presented by my monitors g2g response time; rather it is simply a form of motion blur that is created by MRPT or Moving Picture Response Time. From my readings it seems that this is something that all monitors and TV's experience, and would require a refresh rate of 1000ms to completely remove, as it is to do with the way your eyes track motion. This information was found in the article linked here; https://blurbusters.com/gtg-versus-mprt-frequently-asked-questions-about-display-pixel-response/ Following from this, from my personal limited university study of psychology, I feel that it's safe to explain at least part of what's being experienced away as simply the fact that due to it pertaining to our eye tracking, once we feel we have noticed this blur, it's hard to 'unnotice' and therefore we concentrate on it which then again, due to it being related to eye tracking, makes the experience even worse again. I may not be correct on this, however I feel it is relatively accurate and would suggested the tests listed below for anyone experiencing this, whilst also getting one or two other people to look at your monitor to see if they experience the same visual blur. Thanks again to everyone who replied to this thread and I hope this information may help others with the same concerns about their monitor. https://www.testufo.com/persistence https://www.testufo.com/eyetracking https://www.testufo.com/blurtrail https://www.testufo.com/photo https://www.testufo.com/mprt The requirements and usefulness of the tests should be apparent when conducting them. Good luck everyone

I have a three monitor setup 2x BenQ 24.5" and one Asus 24.5". |BenQ|Asus|BenQ| <-- (Monitor arrangement) with the connection types being |HDMI|DP|DP| on a GTX 1080. Whenever my computer restarts, and I attempt to record a game using ShadowPlay it records the monitor to my right instead of the middle one where the games is open. When I use the Identify button in the Display Settings menu it correctly shows |(3)|(1)|(2)| with the number one monitor having the "Make this my main display" box ticked. But when I use the Colour Management application in Control Panel, and use the Identify monitors button it instead shows |(3)|(2)|(1)|, this seems to be the ordering that ShadowPlay uses to decide which monitor to record. I have tried disconnecting all the monitors except my middle one which works and allows me to record my middle monitor but as soon as the other two monitors are reconnected it switches back to the monitor on the right. The only consistent solution has been to disconnect all monitors except the middle one when the computer is turned off and then connecting the other two once on the desktop of Windows.

Eve Spectrum banned from r/monitors for brigading and vote manipulation
Guest posted a topic in Tech News
Summary The reddit mods over at r/monitors noticed incredibly odd upvoting behaviour regarding any post discussing eve monitors. Upon investigating 6 months worth of posts a pattern emerged and the mods have concluded that Eve were actively brigading posts and were involved in vote manipulation(both against reddit's site wide rules). Quotes My thoughts Eve products did seem to good to be true but I was personally hoping they would bring consistently good monitors to bring down prices from the mainstream manufacturers. I guess in the monitor space, you get what you pay for, until amd enters the game to shake things up. Sources -
Like the title which one do you think is a better choice to choose from and why? I noticed a few differences Acer vg242yp -Made in 2020 -Oc 165hz -2 hdmi 2.0 -Minimum response time 1ms Asus vg249q -Made in 2019 -144hz -1 hdmi 1.4, 1 vga -minimum response time 4ms They both have speakers 2x2w related to official website of each one. I have a monitor arm for desk so the standing won't be an issue, I am interested only in terms of features and picture quality . Now when it came down to features(picture attached) that they use I am a little bit in a trouble, I don't know what each thing does and I ask you if you know, which will be a good idea to get even if they are the same price. Comparable the brands also I don't know about so if you know leave a comment, I am waiting to hear from you

Hi, I'm new here! I just wanted to ask why is my monitor still on power saving mode? •I tried draining the power (both system unit and monitor) •Removed and re-inserted cmos battery/graphics card/ram/motherboard and graphics card power cables, replaced my vga cable •Disconnected and reconnected cables (hdmi to vga adapter/vga cable/usb keyboard and mouse/ethernet cable/power supply cable/avr) •Tried cleaning my ram and vga cable This is not a new build but rather new parts (cpu, mother board, graphics card) though I haven't changed my ssd, hdd, ram (2x8gb 2666mhz), power supply (Seasonic s12iii 80+ bronze 550w), and monitor (LG Flatron L177WSBS) *Side note: my unit beeps (one short beep) everytime I turned it on* I don't know what to do know it doesn't display anything at all, just power saving mode. Specs: Ryzen 5 3600 Wraith Stealth Cooler Asus TUF B450 Gaming Pro Zotac Gaming 1650 Super Twin Fan Ramsta 2x8gb 2666mhz Adata SU650 120gb SSD Seasonic S12III 550w Thanks for the help! UwU

My daughter currently has a 'Samsung S27H850QFU - SH850 Series - LED monitor - 27' monitor and wants to connect a 'Amazon 4k Firestick' through the HDMI port, to use without connecting a laptop. However, the monitor does not have built-in speakers, but does have various ports (DP-Out, DP-In, HDMI-In, USB Type-C and 2 USB). Is it possible to connect external speakers to the monitor, so that she can get sound from the 'Amazon 4k Firestick', without connecting a laptop? I was hoping to get a working setup she can take back with her to University in January 2021. Any help would be greatly appreciated in suggestions and necessary hardware that I may need to buy.

Hey, so currently I have two 22-inch monitors and a 24-inch on a 50-inch desk, and for Christmas I want to get a 32-inch 1440p display. I'm going to be receiving a 55-inch desk that's being replaced, and I'm wondering if having a 32-inch monitor in the middle would still leave room to have my 22-inch monitors on either side. I did the math, and it should work, but I still want to get someone else's opinion who has experience with a large setup or someone who just knows the answer. The math I did - A recommended desk for three 27-inch displays is a 55-inch desk to fit them comfortably. | 27 x 3 = 81 which means 81 inches of monitors should work on a 55-inch desk. | 22 x 2 = 44 + 32 = 76, so the 76 inches of monitors should work. Let me know what you think, whether this is a good idea or not. (I'm also going to try to get a triple monitor stand, this should help with desk space.) I'd really appreciate any feedback.

I purchased a Kogan (Australian online tech store) monitor and have only used it for ~20 days. It appears to be stuck in 'burn-in mode' and I am unsure how to exit this mode. It started up in this mode when I turned it on in the morning and I have already attempted various troubleshooting methods (power cycling, disconnecting monitor, plugging power cord into different outlet). I have isolated the monitor as the problem, not the computer. If anyone knows any button combinations to exit this mode or has any other suggestions, that would be appreciated. Hi I'm a 13yr old so I'm not very amazing at tech and I don't have much money to spend. Right now I have a Ryzen 5 3400g (Vega 11 Graphics) with a 1366x768p 60hz monitor. I am on a budget of 220$CAD and I wanted to upgrade my PC since in don't even have an actual graphics card. I wanted to get one also because my gameplay is not as smooth (fps) as I predicted. But then I realized that if I did get a graphics card and get an average of about 100fps that my pc would be bottle necked by the monitor. Even with my current setup I would average at about 50 to 60 fps on Fortnite with 3d resolution to 100% and all the other settings on low or off, but sometimes if I wanted a bit more smooth gameplay I would turn my 3d res lower. My fps counter would then say 80fps but the graphics where TERRIBLE. So I thought I should get a better monitor with my 220$CAD budget to get a 144hz monitor so it would actually be and feel like 80-90fps. But I realized that I don't want to play with really bad graphics. So I wanted to get a graphics card. BUT I WOULD BE STUCK AT 60 FPS. All this hovering made me sick, my brain hurt from thinking, especially because of my small budget. But I realized that if I get less good products I could get both, so better graphics and better fps but not a BIG improvement but would still be better. So I really don't know what to get. PLEASE HELP!

I'm sure this question has been asked before, if not this will probably help someone with their purchase. I'm planning to buy a new monitor to hook up to my laptop, a Dell G3 with a 1060 MaxQ. I'm currently looking at the BenQ MOBIUZ EX2510 which has FreeSync Premium. I wanted to know if FreeSync will be available over HDMI. According to AMD's website, they do say Freesync certified monitors support freesync over HDMI, or will it not work cause of the nvidia gpu?

Hi guys, I'm planning on getting a decent 27/32" gaming monitor at some point during the black friday sales and I want to mount my current 24" monitor above it vertically but have a couple of concerns: Will any monitor arm be able to achieve the needed height above the new monitor? If not any suggestions for specific monitor arms would be fantastic. I use some cheapo IKEA desk and will need to clamp the stand to it as I don't have a lot of desk space. Will any desk be able to support the weight of the monitor? For those who have their monitors set up like this do you have any "before you try" suggestions or tips? Cheers!

Hi all, need help with a monitor setup i'm trying to get working. we have an unwelcome guest at the party, as usual, and the name, as usual, is........apple basics: i'm trying to hook up an LG Ultrafine 5K thunderbolt display on windows 10 and have it run at 5k resolution. there's this guy who claims he was able to do it, and he wrote a full article about it here. the cat seems to have gotten his tongue when he's asked about any particulars though, so that's why i'm here. the premise is, to run 5k resolution, apple combines the streams of 2 display ports internally on its devices that are running this monitor, and then shoots the signal out the thunderbolt port and into this monitor getting...voila...5k resolution. according to this guy's article, that's what the titan ridge 2.0 card is supposed to do. but, alas, i am getting no such stream combining when i hook up the exact setup he's describing. I've tried this with two different video cards: one of them a quadro P4000, and the other a GTX 1060; no joy with either case. could you guys look into this? i've got a hefty investment sitting here that i'm just not able to get working. your guys' help would be much appreciated. Jared

So I have LG 27GL650-f so far its great but I used to 22 inch 1080p Samsung TV, so it's feel kinda blurry to me I got it after my friend suggestion, it's totally worth buy according to him, and tbh it's great except I kinda annoyed with low pixel density Then I said I wan to upgrade to 1440p, but he said my 2060 super couldn't handle that, because it will be less than 100fps, and it hinder the game play, but the only competitive game i playing is Dota 2, (i mainly focus on single player game) he as far suggesting me 4k TN panel if I want a "crisp" display Then I understand maybe he value competitive gaming than visual fidelity(he got OLED VA Monitor though) Then I still want upgrade to 1440p but i become not sure if it's worth it The monitor I want is LG 27GL850-b tho, the 853 is not exist in my country, Should I just upgrade?

Specs: Nvidia RTX 3070 AMD Ryzen 5 5600x B550 Aorus Elite (11n bios update) 16gb RAM G.skill V 3600mhz 650 EVGA Gold Windows 10 64bit Problem: My display port when booting up is not working, however my HDMI connection works fine My Monitors are an LG 21' Monitor, and I have two of them. The Monitors have a HDMI plug, so for one of them I have a full on HDMI cord and the other a HDMI/Display port cord. The one using Displayport is not working My previous build it worked almost fine, I've actually run into this situation before, but I forgot the fix. Here is the real kicker, when I boot up and go into BIOS, it used the DisplayPort side, rather than the HDMI side. What I have done: Unplug Power of Monitors, Unplug the cords, Turn off PC and turn PSU to off. Then Replugged Monitor (Just the Display port and its power) Then Turned PSU back to on and booted up PC. This resulted in only seeing BIOS, after that it went to Windows 10 and cut me off from seeing What I did next was change the cords around and test new cords, No dice. Checked my BIOS to see if there was any settings as shown in a few videos, Could not find such setting as the options were limited. I will be uploading a video here to show what happens when I boot up and how it technically can detect it. Any help and input will be helpful. Monitor-messed-up2.mp4

I have an outdated but still decent built (i7-4770k, gtx 1070, 16gb ddr3) and plan to upgrade my monitors ahead of the PC upgrade since they are old cheap 1080p monitors from 2012. Problem is I keep going back and forth on what I want to get for monitors. I plan to get a 27 inch 1440p 144hz IPS monitor for sure, but I also would like a 4k second monitor for media content but I'm really worried about scaling issues with using two monitors of different resolutions. Does anyone have experience with this? What kind of quirks should I be aware of? Would you recommend two 1440p monitors or do you think a 1440p and a 4k make a nice pair of monitors?
