I need to upgrade my monitor in the next 6 months because my monitor is kind of dying. I want 32" 144hz + 1 ms 4k or 2k for around $800 with an absolute max of $1000. I have a 3080 so I'm not worried about driving it. Should I get the g7 now or wait for a 4k

So I've been doing a good amount of research, as I'm looking to buy a 144hz monitor, not too cheap, but also not burning my bank. I've pretty much settled on this one monitor, the Asus TUF VG249Q. The one thing that's been worrying me is that it's ips display. Now, obviously it advertises 1ms response time, but I can't remember how many times people say IPS has super slow response times compared to TN. Is it really that bad? Or am I overthinking. And as a side note, how does the monitor pair up against the VG24VQ. Pretty much the same monitor, but with a VA panel. I appreciate anything!

Hi there ***Please refer the links at the end to see the actual products.*** I want to mount a monitor to a floor TV stand. The monitor has only 100x100 vesa mounting available and the floor TV stand's minimum is 200x200 vesa. Are there any products in the market that could solve this problem? Amazon has some products that do exactly opposite of this (they allow bigger TV's to hook up to a smaller vesa mount) but they specifically say that in product description that the opposite cannot be achieved. I have a mini pc with HDMI output from intel UHD igpu on a celeron, it can connect to a tv via HDMI to HDMI jsut fine, but with my monitor with only mini HDMI and type C inputs doesn't work for some weird reason. I use a HDMI to mini HDMI cable and no signal can be detected, I also tried HDMI to HDMi cable then try using a HDMI to type C adapter but that still says no signal. I have tested all the things individually, and they all work fine. I am now VERY CONFUSED on why my moitor doesn't work for my mini pc. Please help, thanks in advance.

I have a problem, when i try to connect my monitor to graphic card it says 'sygnal no supported' so i dont know what to do. I tried unpluging ram, draining power, removing GPU and testing 2 cables HDMI, checked if everything is pluged (everything is) And trying to reset monitor to starter Mode (or something like that) but nothing works. I tested my monitor on my laptop and it worked Just fine so i dont thing it's a monitor issue but at this Point i have no idea what to do. My guess is that theres something wrong with GPU but i might as well ask people that actually know what's up. Specs are -G.SKILL 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz CL16 Ripjaws V Black -Acer Nitro VG240YBMIIX -SilentiumPC Vero L3 500W 80 Plus Bronze -Kingston 500GB M.2 PCIe NVMe KC2500 -Intel Core i5-11400F -ASUS PRIME B560M-K -PowerColor Radeon RX 6600 Fighter 8GB GDDR6

I am in the process of upgrading my monitor situation to accommodate an new job that requires much more monitor real-estate. My configuration would be as follows. This monitor https://www.amazon.com/Acer-XZ342CK-Pbmiiphx-Certified-DisplayHDR400/dp/B08BW3XS12/ref=sr_1_9?qid=1642697916&refinements=p_n_feature_two_browse-bin%3A23595194011%2Cp_n_feature_eleven_browse-bin%3A17726574011|17726575011|17726576011|17726577011|17726578011&rnid=17726572011&s=pc&sr=1-9&th=1 as the primary display at eye level (yes i know its not the best but I have a budget I need to follow) and then two of these monitors https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MDXF81K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 above that one side by side. The reason for this is I already have the 2 27in monitors and not enough desk space to put them on the sides of the ultrawide. My concern is this. I am unsure of the best way to mount it. My initial idea was to have the ultra wide on its in the box stand and then to use this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082KWH2RL/ref=crt_ewc_title_srh_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A177XTH6CJABI8 to hold the other monitors above it but I am concerned about sizing. I know that this would be very easy if I wall mounted them however I am in an apartment so I am trying to avoid holes in the walls if it all possible. If it helps with recommendations I am currently on a 59 inch desk (one of the ikea ones) with my computer on the desk just to sort of illustrate the room constraints I have. I appreciate any and all suggestions you might have.

Yellow tints on the sides of TN Panels? So, I just got this: https://www.lg.com/levant_en/monitors/lg-27MK400H-B second hand, and so far, it seems it has yellow tints on the sides and top of it??? Is this a normal thing for TN panels with their lack of color accuracy and bad viewing angles? I am sitting straight ahead of the monitor, but it's a 27" 1080p, so that might take into effect?? Any pointers would be appreciated!

Hey there! I have a slight and annoying problem with my resolution. Hear me out on this, I have tried to find a similar issue on this, to no avail. So, I already had this problem before I reformatted my windows drive (Windows Reset + drive format) Basically, I have a Lenovo G25-10, a 1080p 144hz monitor. Whenever I install the NVIDIA Drivers, and I try to play a game, it has a resolution option of 4k. This is where it gets weird, no, I do not have any DSR factors on, I'm pretty sure that my monitor is only 1080p, even Lenovo's website says that themselves. When I check the change resolution in Nvidia Control Panel, it does say that the resolution can go up to 4k (Idk why, again, I do not have any DSR factors on) I can't remove the options for 4k and other multiple weird resolutions on NVIDIA control panel. Latest Nvidia driver's installed, installed the monitor's official drivers as well. My Graphics card is a GALAX RTX 2060, 6GB I know this isn't really the place for support, but I seriously couldn't diagnose the problem here. It's not an issue by any means, it's just bothering to see that even my games detect that I have a 4k monitor even though it's only 1080p. Any tips, or ideas as to why this is happening would help a lot!

Hi, Just need to know if HDMI and the CEC function is able to control the backside RGB of a monitor or I really need the USB? I have an MSI mystic light monitor. AG321CQR. But more asking in general.

Hi, I used nvidia custom resolution to set my monitor to 40Hz so that I can use Vsync at higher FPS than 30 for some games (I have GTX 1070 and like to run higher resolution than FHD). In most games I am able to get comfortably above 40FPS at near 4K resolution, but I always underclocked the monitor to 30hz. Now I tried to underclock it to 40hz, but when I turn vsync on, then the game runs at 30fps instead of 40FPS. I checked in the UFO refresh rate test and it says it is 39.999hz. Why doesnt the vsync work as expected (by me)? Thank you in advance for you help.

Hi (first post on LTT Yay) but I was wondering if yous could help me out. I'm a CAD contractor and I have a pretty decent pc just for work. I have an I7 8600K, 16gb of ddr4 ram and a Palit gtx 1070ti. compared to the software and simulations I run its well more than enough technically but here the thing, I currently run two 27 inch monitors and continuously switch tabs multiple times every few minutes just to look at dimensions or notes, so id like a third monitor. The duel 27's I run right now are both 1080p and run at 60hz and I'm looking to add an ultrawide monitor (34inch to 43inch) to it, maybe an LG or something. really I just want others opinions here if they've tried it with a similar system or if they have any ideas weather it will work or not as I definitely need more screen real estate and an ultrawide with the current two would be an ideal outcome

Summary A new display from Xiaomi, the "Xiaomi Fast LCD Monitor 24.5-inch 240HZ version" sets a new low for the industry. Edit: HDMI 2.1a has been published, adding Source-Based Tone Mapping. Quotes My thoughts As if USB 3.1 gen 1 and USB 3.2 gen 2, USB type C cables, Thunderbolt 3 vs. Thunderbolt 4 weren't all bad enough. Is HDMI 2.1 now meaningless? I currently have two monitors(different brands-Dell and LG). I was thinking of getting two Dell P2419H. I usually sit for a prolonged period of time on front on monitors. So I need something that won't hurt my eyes. Price of monitors are exceptionally high in Bangladesh so considering all the factors I chose the Dell P2419H. My budget is about 200 USD for each monitor(20k BDT). For people with big heart and a few spare time in hand you can check out the prices of monitors here.

Yeah I have no idea which forum to post this in so i just decided to post this here, I am in the process of buying and Xbox series x, and I do not have any clue to which monitors would support it. (to the fullest extent)

I was wondering if the Acer Nitro VG240Y comes with a displayport cable?

Hello, I recently purchased an LG 27GL83A-B and can hardly stand how horrible the blacks are. White text on black backgrounds looks very blurry, I can’t see dark areas in games while the rest is on the peak of being too bright. Has anyone found a work around to setting tweaks to help with this? Very disappointing considering how popular it appears to be.

Budget (including currency): $1700 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Streaming using OBS or OBS-like software, games like Minecraft, photo editing, web browsing Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have no existing parts or peripherals other than a mouse that's perfectly suitable for my need. I want a keyboard with good key action (probably mechanical, rgb means nothing to me), and I'd like two monitors (no extreme resolution, 60 hz refresh rate is a-ok). Windows 10 is a must. To reiterate, I'm looking for prebuilt and peripheral recommendations that will help me achieve what's stated above. Very, very sorry if this post breaks any rules or if it's in the wrong place, and thanks to all who take time out of their day to respond!

Hey guys, been a while since i posted. My monitor has had a problem ever since I got it, the problem being that the bottom left corner was dead. It was only an area of a few pixels so I didn't mind really. Occasionally I would notice a flickering orange pixel in the very corner followed by the monitor abruptly turning off. This was a huge red flag, but I didn't want to spend money replacing or repairing the monitor since times have been tough during COVID. Fast forward to about an hour ago and suddenly the corner begins to spark, followed by the pixels around it starting to die and get stuck. The image started to flicker horizontally for about 20 minutes and then it completely died. It turns on, but it's only a mass of dead pixels in the corner and a black screen. I've tried looking up my problem but I can't find anything quite like it. I think the flickering orange dot in the corner is a shorted/sparking wire or pixel. I tried using VR to see my desktop, but then somehow my vive lost tracking. I go to turn off my PC, hit the power button, and it won't turn off. I had to hold the power button to get it to shut off. I know it may sound a bit daft, but i'm kind of worried my monitor may have fried something in my PC. Also worried that I corrupted something by forcing it to turn off. Gonna have to head to Micro Center when it opens and spend the money on a new monitor I guess. Any thoughts? Also attached is a video of the flickering horizontally. IMG_3077.MOV

Pretty new to monitors and just got a good deal on an Acer Nitro VG240Y SBMIIPX 165Hz display and have been using it for about two weeks now along side my old HP EliteDisplay E232 60Hz. While the higher refresh rate on the acer is really nice, I can't seem to understand why the HP is giving out a sharper image while gaming or even jus watching videos. From my understanding they are both 1080p IPS panels.

As seen in the video below. ASUS 4K miniLED 144hz (144-120hz and no 2.1 port for 3k USD??) The new monitors can offer a lot of great stuff, depending on what you are going to use it for. Sadly it's not quite perfect yet, and something I would agree with that these dimming zones I would rather go without until it's improved. Some visual problems, but has some of the better HDR experiences and hopefully long life time compared to the OLED experience. Also there can be some noise from active cooling. Not the best on the ufo test, having some smearing, else the 1400 nits of brightness and enough HZ for a decent or good HDR experience in single player or shooting games, less about competitive games.

Hi! So I used to have a problem with my PC where I can not wake it from power saving mode by clicking on the keyboard or mouse. I recently exchanged my pc enclosure and this problem persisted and additionally when I turn on my PC the monitors do not detect an input. When I however shut down the PC by holding the power button for a few seconds and then boot it up again, the monitors detect a source and everything is fine. I would rather not keep doing this method everytime I turn on or wake up my PC. What I have done until now: I uninstalled my graphics driver and tried booting. Problem remains. I checked the power connector on the motherboard as well as checked for other cables not being plugged in all the way. My specs: MB: b450m a pro max CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 GPU: GTX 1080 Any suggestion for what I can try?

I have a client who is having this issue. The computer is running windows 10. When the computer wakes up after going to sleep, all windows (browser etc.) that were on his second monitor, jump over to his first monitor as if his second monitor did not turn on. This only started when he got new monitors. The monitors have HDMI ports, and his Desktop has two Display ports. He is using cables that go from HDMI to DP. The computer is an HP ProDesk 600 G4 MT and the monitors are Asus VS247 All of my research on this issue shows that this has been a recurring issue since at least Windows 7. I have found threads and discussion of this issue since at least 2015 (including on this forum last year). It appears to be an issue tied to Display Port, and the best solution that I've seen is to not use Display Port. This computer only has DP so that's not an option. I'd also like to avoid editing the registry. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be a resolution for this?

Hey all, was looking at some options for 4k monitors to use with my PS5. With that in mind im not against buying a 60hz since the PS5 is capped anyway. I have a few on sale on Amazon that ive been looking at and was curious if there was one that stands out or if anyone has better recommendations. Thanks for taking the time! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CH9ZTI4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_7BX39XBQ0H44X7CNGN70?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CVTTNN4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_4TFJ5W2D43BDH6RM44S7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PGL2WVS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_G0H7Y98M49JAQ87JXFCD?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
