Hello everyone! I’ve recently recovered from a company an old Cinema Display 20” with a not functioning power adapter. Now, the Apple A1096 power adapter has this specs: 65W, 24.5V, 2.65A. I can’t find anywhere here in Italy or EU eBay listings a used one at a reasonable price, so I’ve been thinking to adapt a common power adapter to the Cinema Display, and I found some models with these specs: 65W, 24V, 2.7A. …worth the shot? Please help =) Thank you! -Ivan

So i have this problem. Whenever i start and pause a movie on Plex or open GPU accelerated content, the screen turns on and off. I have had this issue in Steam but i turned off GPU acceleration in Steam and the problem disappeared on Steam, but i still have the problem when i watch movies on Plex and play games. In games it appears no matter what mode i play in (windowed, borderless or fullscreen) i have tried reinstalling GPU drivers with DDU but it does not help. I found out that if i enable Gsync and disable it again in Nvidia control panel the problem usually disappears until i restart the computer. I have tried changing the power settings but they should be fine. I have: I7-13700k ASUS RTX 3070 m2-res_480p.mp4

I have the following configuration: Graphics Card: RTX 4080 1. Dell 24" S2417DG (Horizontal, 1440p at 144hz via DisplayPort) 2. Dell 24" P2419H (Vertical, 1080p at 60hz via DisplayPort) I also have a TV plugged to the PC. 3. LG 55" C2 (Horizontal, 2160p at 120hz via HDMI 2.1) The problem is that if I want to watch TV or something via streaming, as soon as I turn on the TV, the Monitor #1 loses signal. It's looks like a loop of getting some signal and then loses it making like a flickering effect. This makes incompatible to use the TV and the PC at the same time without having to disconnect TV. I'm on Windows 11, and I have set the Monitor #1 and #2 to extend and TV #3 to disconnected. Maybe someone has encountered a problem similar to this and can give me a hint of what's going on.

Hello, my laptop, which I bought in June, started to tear and feels laggy. I never had such problems in the summer, I was playing all games without vsync with high fps but it started suddenly. My Specs: ASUS TUF A15 2023 Edition. RTX 4060. Ryzen 7 7735HS. 2x8 DDR5 4800MHz RAM. 500GB M.2 SSD. 144Hz G-Sync Screen. Win 11. I dont know why this started to happen. My roommate has asus tuf 2022 edition with RTX3050 and when we compare 2 laptops on CS2 with no v-sync my computer has more tearing and feels like not 144hz. His computer gets 180fps and mine is getting 220fps, we both have 144hz monitor and his laptop dont even have gsync but mine is not smooth. I tried to uninstall drivers with ddu and reinstall but nothing changed. I might refund or send to warranty. If someone help I would be happy, thank you. https://vimeo.com/891160344?share=copy This is the video that I recorded.

"Old tech still rocks!" Is what I would I I was a very short man named Linus, but I'm not Linus so why do I actually agree with him? Sure old game consoles are cool but how are old laptops and how do they hold up now? Surely someone had to answer the question no one asked and that had to be me unfortunately. So for the past 13 years I have been using the same laptop (HP G61) and monitor (Acer X223w) I got as a teen and not once have I felt like I needed to change as it did everything including my varsity projects pretty well until only 2 weeks ago when it started randomly blue screening. I wish I could show you how good my experience has been but I'd rather show you this segway to our sponsor LTT Store Dot Com. (Inserts Linus talking about the LTT Retro Screwdriver) Anyway back to the review. I simply think my old laptop is pretty cool. Its taken a fair amount of falls, a couple liquids that might not be water, has a great speaker cause its such a thiccc boi. It obviously has it downs like 2 GB ram, a Celeron processor, and not being able to process 1000P video natively that's why I have a 1050P second monitor. Anyway I am ranting at this point but I do challenge anyone who still has their first ever setup to downgrade to that for a week. Shot on Nikon Coolpix L840.

Looking for recommendations for a, QHD minimum, 32" monitor with 165hz, or higher, refresh rate. Prefer 16x9 as I run two side monitors as well but this is to replace my center main display. VESA HDR400 minimum, but prefer HDR600. I am fond of Samsung's QLED displays so have been looking at the Samsung Odyssey G7 (c32g75t) ($550 usd @ my local microcenter). I know this is the 'old' model and that the NEO G7 has mini-LED instead of edge lighting, but the price jump is a bit too much. Are there any comparably priced mini-led monitors that carry these specs or just better monitors in general around that price range?

So I've been using the Seasonic VA2409-H for couple of years now, its a solid monitor enough for my need, and for about a year now I use it as secondary monitor, ususally to show a firefox tab. just now after cold booting the PC, I realise around the corner of the screen, I got this greenish vignetting with a hinted of familiar firefox interface there, just like burn (image retention) in on OLED screen. I tried to change my windows walpaper temporarily to plain white solid color, and after 30 minutes leaving it on, its sorta fading out, but still noticable, hopefully it will be gone completely. My question is, is it still posibble that modern (and cheap) IPS panel still got this image retention issue? and is it just temporarily and can be gone quickly or it can be permanent one? or can it be attributed to just lower end of IPS panel? And what the easiest way to clear the issue (like me who changing the wallpaper temporarily to solid white color)? Anyway I admitted its my fault to leave the secondary monitor at idle at full brightness when showing static firefox tab .

Hi all! I'm looking for a decent monitor under $150 that has accurate colors and a fast refresh rate. This is my current PC. (I currently have a 1650 4gb in the tower, and just ordered the 3060 in the list.) I am a photographer and gamer, so color accuracy and refresh rate are paramount for me. I've done some research, and have stumbled upon this Lenovo monitor and this AOC monitor, and want to hear some feedback before I pull the trigger. Any other suggestions are also welcomed. Thanks in advance!!!

When i turned on my pc today it was only showing a black screen with some horizontal lines (sometimes flashing or flickering) above and some vertical white lines just static. I think it is not my monitor's fault because it shows clearly the bios splash screen.i tried using other sources of display but the problem is still there so i think the problem is with the monitor. The lines and the glitch changes over time. Is this water damage? Broken fuse? I do not recall hitting this or the monitor falling. Somebody please help me. Specs: Ryzen 5 5600x Nvidia RTX 3060 ti 2k ips monitor Gigabyte b550m motherboard Somebody please help me received_724398572555685.mp4

Framerate drop on 2nd Monitor when Videos plays (at 1080,60)
Die Kreatur posted a topic in PC Gaming
I have two monitors, my main monitor 1440p 120hz and a second 144hz 1080, the latter being my "old" monitor. Whenever I play some games and watch a bit of youtube at the side and it runs at 1080p60fps (or even 720p60fps) The framerate on my main monitor drops down to like 60ish or less. I do have a 3070 and a ryzen 7 5800x plus 32 GB of ram (dual channel, 16 per stick) (Samsung 980 evo m.2 ssd as well). I simply don't know what it could be related to, drivers issue? Windows issue, cables maybe or smth wrong with my hardware. thanks in advance -
So I have a Samsung Odyssey G50 165hz 1440p, sometimes the games feel smooth and fast, but sometimes it feels like theres some latency, I checked my render latency its really good, then I tried some settings on the monitor, non of them had an impact on the high latency feeling, then I turned on the G-sync and it made a huge difference I could easily see it, but then when I turned it off, it felt as fast as its turned on, then I remembered that I noticed this before, so why is that, that after a while I have to enable or disable G-sync for my monitor to have low latency, is it a bug or something? The game I tested it was CS2 and I remembered that when I first noticed it was CS:GO aswell but I think its only because its a fast paced game and that the only FPS game I play, in story games the latency doesnt bothered me enough for me to notice I guess

I got a gaming laptop like a year ago its an ROG Zephurys M16 GU603HM, the issue is that a few weeks ago it started to show some lines in the lower part of the screen I thought it was a glitch or something after a while I realized it was a burned image from whatever is displayed for a long time on the screen, I wanted to know if there is a way to fix this issue, if I should try to replace the entire screen or if its just going to die eventually would appreciate any help. I send a picture i took with my camera of my screen you can clearly see the afected area, other than it usually works fine, It took me so long to notice as I use 2 monitors and the main one (which is the one with the issue I usually have black backgrounds so I couldnt noticed the burns at all)

My first monitor was a second-hand IPS 75hz 5ms 1080p 24" from LG. I used that for about 4 years, before accidentally buying a VA monitor. I decided to give it a shot and love it so much! The only issue is that it does have a slight bit of black smearing. Its nothing all too noticeable in most of my games, but I would prefer if It didn't even exist in the first place. So here I am looking for a good VA monitor at 1440p. I do not care to heavily about refresh rate, but If possible, something at or over 144hz would be nice. For sizing, anywhere from 27" to 32" is preferable. I Have looked at the Samsung Odyssey series of VA Curved monitors and found some decent reviews on the G7 and G9. My main issue is that the G7 is $469 (Even if its withing my budget Its still a bit high.) and the G9 is way too much. I see the G5 for a safe cost but I'm not sure it has the same low level of black smearing that the G7 is reported to have. Much help is appreciated, thanks a bunch!

The monitor on my recently purchased HP Omen 25L computer randomly goes black, and I've encountered some issues. I have a 4060Ti, i7 13700F, and 16GB RAM, and my power supply is 600W. From the first time I turnd it on, the monitor turns black for a few seconds, and after pressing some buttons on the keyboard it brings it back. This can happen every 10 seconds or up to 20 minutes, usually lasting only a few seconds. The lights on the mouse and keyboard also stop during this time. When it comes back on, it's like my computer restarted - all programs are closed, even though the PC was still on. I've swapped monitors and HDMI cables, both at the same speed. All drivers are updated(I think). I even went to a shop, and they mentioned that not everything was entirely installed. They checked the device manager, where some icons had yellow triangles. They advised updating those, but my attempts failed. I then tried reinstalling Windows, but that didn't fix the issue. I'm seeking help to resolve this problem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently looking to upgrade from my aoc 24g2 and wanted to try 1440p. Im trying to decide which monitor is best for me. Honestly would love to try mini led since i also use my monitor to watch movies a lot and 240hz isn't a big deal for me with the LG. What are your thoughts on both monitors?

Hi, I currently have 2 Phillips 279M1RV 4k 144Hz monitors connected to my computer(750 Watt PSU, both plugged in to my RTX 3080 graphics card tested with both HDMI and displayport cables which were supplied in the box). For a while now I have been having connectivity issues with my screens, more specifically in these situations: when I start a graphical intensive program(f.e. an emulator), upon attempting to click on my screen, it goes black for about 4 seconds and turns on again, doing this repeatably when attempting to click my screen. however, this only happens when there is f.e. also a video playing on the same screen, when I move the video to one screen and the emulator on the other, the issue stops sometimes when starting a game my screen goes full black, not being able to turn on, even when I unplug and plug my hdmi cord it still stays black. Any idea what could be causing this and how it could be fixed? thanks in advance

Hi all, I am having some issues with my 4 monitor setup after replacing one of them. I tried looking around and asking on Reddit, but have gotten no help so far, so I come to you with my query. I am having an issue with my current set up of 4 monitors, with one of them no longer working. I had a setup of 3 gigabyte 1440p 144hz monitors and 1 samsung g9 1440p 240hz monitor, but decided to go out and buy the new OLED samsung g9, non smart, screen to replace the older g9. I have a 3080 from evga, and when I orignally set up my monitors, they didn't all work and I found some help that it was because I would not be able to run them all at the max hz correctly. So I set the 3 gigabyte to 60hz and the g9 to 120, and that worked perfectly and had no issues. After buying the new OLED, and setting it up, i did the same thing and set it to 120hz, but now one of the gigabytes will not display any image. I have done basic troubleshooting, setting all monitors to 60hz, replugged everything on monitor not working, reinstalled drivers, tried different ports on the non wokring monitor, but nothing seems to be getting it to work. When I plugged in the new OLED I turned off my computer with everything working, plugged it all in, and turned it back on to this problem. So the only factor that I can see is the new monitor. Could this monitor being OLED and not LCD be the issue? I know the 3080 can drive 4 monitors, and the one that is no longer working is the only hdmi out of the group, the rest being display port. The 4th monitor is showing in windows display settings and in Nvidia control panel, but when trying to chang anything in windows settings it says it cannot be saved. When changing in the control panel, I am able to enable the monitor, but it unchecks one fo the others. Any help with this problem would be appreciated. models are AORUS AD27QD Gigabyte g27Q 2 of them with one being the problem monitor Samsung Odyssey G93SC

Helo, this is my first time posting and im in need of urgent help. Basically i bought vga to dp adapter so i can use my old monitor. The monitor worked fine in bios but as soon as i loged in it turned black (not off) and sometimes it flicked on and off for like 10 sec and than it just doesn't show until I restart it. I did everything from installing drivers to switching ports and it just doesnt work. Whats is even weirder is that when i plug in my TV to use as a second screen, just so i can tweak some settings, the display port cuts signal from my TV and as soon as i unplugg the dp tv comes back. Tho, that problem fixed itself but i still can't get my monitor to work. For all i know it could be a bad cable or a bad adapter, but than why does the bios work flawlessly. So what is it than and how can i fix it? sry for the rant, im on edge ps: i have r5 5500 and rx 6600 just for context

I've decided to try connecting a crt tv to my pc. My current method I'm trying to get to work is using a passive vga to composite adapter that my dad had lying around, but that hasn't worked, as I've failed many times to dial in custom resolutions. This also required me to install a gt 730, so that I could get a vga output, which has caused many annoyances of windows choosing that over my rx 5700. So, what I want to know is if cheap vga to composite adapters produce better image quality than cheap hdmi to composite adapters, either $20 or less. The crtgaming subreddit said that native analog is better than cheap digital to analog converters for input lag and clarity, and I wanted to know if that that was extremely noticeable. TDLR: need adapter for crt tv to a modern pc, and want to know vga produces a better composite output than hdmi adapters do.

Hi all, I'm looking for a decent display for general productivity use (studies, work, watching movies etc). I'm a student and ideally want a high-quality monitor, so I'm checking used product websites (eBay & FB Marketplace - I'm in the UK if that helps). My core requirements - a 27-inch 1440p display. What I'm unsure about is: - Are in-built speakers a big upgrade? I'll be using my laptop (2020 Mac Air with the Intel i5 chip) to power the display, which has pretty decent speakers itself, I'm just unsure whether having audio built into the monitor will be much better than audio from my laptop speakers, which are already more than good enough for me. I've found a few decently priced QHD 27" 144hz monitors which lack speakers (Samsung Odyssey G5, some Koorui and Iiyama models), hence why I'm asking. - Is having a higher refresh rate a big upgrade when it comes to everyday use (even something like 75hz)? I just love the smoothness in use but know it won't make much of a difference when watching movies etc. I'm planning to get my PS4 Pro to university soon so it may get some gaming use, but it isn't the main priority for the monitor. I've gamed on 60fps all my life anyway so I'm not sure whether springing for a monitor with a higher RR will be worth it, but it sure would be nice haha. - In general, will a curved display make much of a difference? It's not a concrete requirement since it doesn't seem to be a big feature at this size, so I'm not too fussed about it. Would appreciate any insights, thanks!

Recently I've been looking at some displays for a friend for colour work (primarily relating to game design), media consumption and gaming here and there on a steam deck (desktop will use a 24 inch 1080p 165hz panel for gaming and will be primarily used for that unless the colour accurate panel has features similar or better) So far I have found these and am not certain if there are any better options..... One thing I do know is that 1440p films etc cant be played on almost any streaming service and so would only be able to play at 1080p instead of downscaled 4k.... So a 4k panel would be nice but if it hinders other features it is likely not worth it. Max budget is £300 https://www.wexphotovideo.com/asus-proart-pa278qv-ips-professional-monitor-27-inch-1748573/?cpgnid=17869409247&adext=&account=853-353-2386&campaign=&group=&mkwid=_dc&pcrid=&kword=&match=&plid=&pgrid=&ptaid=&si=&gclid=CjwKCAiAxreqBhAxEiwAfGfndLiO1Ri1KbkcpXOrt8DC6oJ6RxqGVb-YiqRf_Z904or9MYxL7TEo1RoCudUQAvD_BwE https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lg-27-27gp850p-b-2560x1440-nano-ips-165hz-1ms-freesync-g-sync-compatible-wi-mo-169-lg.html?gclid=CjwKCAiAxreqBhAxEiwAfGfndD03xG2i7hFKisWsrgS6bPF9pjTlw3ngktmgj-HWESUsiPUOuf-cWRoCGSUQAvD_BwE Any help appreciated, Lex.
