Hey there everyone! I saw a deal of this MSI Pro MP243XW 23.8" 1080P 100Hz display in Amazon (international shipping) for $89.99 US. Has anyone used this monitor, or know of trustworthy reviews? It has pretty good (yet very little) reviews in Amazon, and I have heard it's an amazing monitor for the price, but it's mostly people on Telegram groups and small channel reviews in languages I might not understand. I currently use a 75Hz 1080P 5ms response time monitor, as well as a secondary old HP display (1024x768) that was given to me for free. I kinda want an upgrade, I would get the new monitor and keep using my previous ones, but Idk whether to wait for something else or go for this one. My budget is as high as that deal btw (I guess max is $100). What do you all think? Any comments are welcome. If you're gonna search for a recommendation, I would appreciate it if you chose Amazon, since it does free international shipping to my country (Colombia). Thanks!

I’m thinking of getting a 240Hz monitor, but I wonder what I can expect if I am only able to get an average of 180FPS. Sometimes above 240FPS. I play competitively. I feel like G-Sync will throw my pacing way off and maybe I should have a FPS limit set to 239? My current setup is a 120Hz monitor where I have minimums never go below 120FPS, while I also use RTSS (RivaTuner) Scanline Sync. I’d love feedback from a theory point of view, but also from those with various experiences with this.

I’ve been trying to choose an Ultrawide to buy. I’m looking at getting a 49” one, and the one that seems to have all the bells and whistles I want is the AOC Agon AG493UCX2 The bells and whistles being (these are non-negotiable): Similar display rate and pixel density as my current dual monitors (currently two Gigabyte M29Q) Display port and HDMI. As well as USB C with power and data transfer so I can charge my work laptop with the same cable I’m using to display it when I WFH PBP (PIP would be a plus) so I can have my PS5 on one side and be able to browse the internet on the other I was looking at the Samsung G9 Odyssey as I can get it nearly half off at the moment, but I don’t think it has what I want

Hi everyone, I'm seeking advice on choosing a new monitor after transitioning from an Nvidia to an AMD GPU. I currently own an Acer Predator XB271HU 1440p 165Hz G-Sync monitor, but since I've switched to an AMD XFX 7900 GRE after my first build in many years, I can no longer utilize the G-Sync module. I'm concerned about losing access to variable refresh rate technology and I'm looking for recommendations on a suitable replacement. My desk measures 65cm in depth and is this model from JYSK: [ https://jysk.ie/office/desks/computer-desks/gaming-desk-halbjerg-65x135-w/led-white ]. I'm considering a 34" ultra-wide for immersion, but I'm unsure if my desk depth is sufficient, I'd also be open to a better 27" monitor too as I'm concerned about stability if mounted directly on the desk. I'm open to purchasing a TV stand and slightly adjusting the desk setup if needed. My priorities are good contrast and motion clarity, although OLED monitors are out of my budget. I'm located in Europe and my budget is around €500, but I'm open to cheaper options as long as they offer an improvement over my current setup. Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, I'm planning to buy a new monitor this summer Budget: 25 000CZK / 1080USD GPU: 7900 XT Requirements: -OLED display What I've been looking at reviews etc., I like the two monitors ASUS PG27AQDM and ASUS PG32UCDM I'm more interested in the PG32UCDM (Czech price 1 800 USD) but for that one I doubt it will drop 853 USD in price in 3/4 months so that one is out. And the other one I also found good and I'll probably choose it but before that I'd rather come here to ask if there are any better alternatives etc.

Hi! I have an old 20" Asus monitor, a friend of mine give it to me saying that He never used it a lot. As you can see in the attached video, when I plug it in a socket the only thing that happens is a short blue LED and then nothing else. What can it be? Some component need to be change? Thanks to everyone who will answer. 20240408_152857_1.mp4

Budget (including currency): around 1000€ Country: Estonia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: All the games Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Existing parts are in my profile, but main parts are Intel i5 14600KF, 64GB DDR4 3600MT/s, RTX 4070. The prices here are not like anywhere else. AW2725DF price when it becomes available is ~840€ Is there any 27" 240Hz+ OLED that's better? The cheaper the better, but the performance should be on the level with AW2725DF For instance AOC AG276QZD costs about same here, but is not better in any aspect, at least by reviews.

I've got a client looking for recommendations for monitors, if any, that can be both powered AND given video data over a single USB-C port. Having not needed to search for monitors for a while now I'm honestly a bit out of the loop, as most monitors I know of can only provide power to another device over their USB-C port opposed to powering the monitor. My client would be hooking two of these monitors onto a rolling desktop station via VESA mount and would be connected to a desktop PC. I know he would at least need an adapter to convert HDMI or DisplayPort to USB-C, or even a PCIe-based Thunderbolt 3/4 card for USB-C output with enough power for a monitor, but then the question comes back to if there are any monitors that can take power and video over USB-C. If anybody has recommendations for decent panels that fit this criteria, please let me know.

GIGABYTE 31.5" VA GS32QC I am currently using a Gigabyte monitor which is 24", 165Hz and 1080p. I am looking for a new one that is 32" and curved and not expensive, and i found the one listed above and I wonder is it a good one, I need it primarly for gaming. I like all the specs but I am not familiar with VA panel as my monitor is IPS. Question I have is it worth it at that price and should I buy it ?

Hi guys. Unfortunately my beloved monitor is showing signs of failing. Both HDMI and DP signal on occasion fade to black until I remove the cable and reposition it. The fan stays on continuously unless unplugged even hours after a gaming session. These are becoming more frequent and I can’t find a suitable repair shop in the UK. As such I’m looking for a monitor that can deliver the same performance and especially the HDR performance that this monitor can do. any suggestions would be amazing as this is going to be a steep investment. My Budget is £1700 and would like 32in max screen size. Thanks for reading.

Hello guys, I just cleaned the screen of my BRAND NEW (not even 2 days) monitor with a special glass cleaner which claims to have alcool, however immediately after I turned it on I got an ugly surprise, a part of the screen is full of ugly spots and one even looks like water dripping, also. This is the first time it has happened to me, the monitor is a USB-C LED IPS Dell 27'' QHD, 75Hz S2722DC Fix? PLEASE (P.S. is already registered for a return because it arrived with a crack on the corner of the screen)

Is the HP EliteDisplay E27q G4 worth it for 205$ brand new? I would mainly use it for light photo editing and basic office stuff.

Hello My dad gave me his old apple monitor, because the computer does’t work anymore, but the monitor does. It has the apple mini display port and I bought an adapter to USB-C, so that I could connect my Apple MacBook Pro with it. It all worked well now I bought a windows PC which my boyfriend built for me. I don’t want to buy a new monitor since I already have the Apple one (and I’m honest - it fits my home aesthetic) So I was hoping I could connect my monitor to the PC! I bought an apple mini display port adapter to connect to my PC - but it didn’t work… Does anybody have a solution or is apple going to make me buy a new monitor? Here are some photos of the Monitor (I know the cable is broken get of my back)

Hi all, I'm really lost for ideas to test at this point. Any ideas would be amazing! Overview: Using latest Asus strix laptop (2023, I9 / 4080) as a desktop replacement. The system is set up connected to external Samsung ody8 4k monitor + all peripherals (KB/Mouse/Mic/Headset). The system is set up in performance and or turbo mode, and always plugged into power. **The laptop is configured to only show monitor 2 (external screen). have not changed and or modified any color management programs native to the laptop or Asus issued apps. Issue: randomly the color or visuals on the external monitor go vivid and warm tones are exaggerated. When i grab a test window and drag it to the laptop screen it refreshed the window only* (blinks once) and the color on said window is normal tone again. and vice versa. Temporary fix sometimes: I noticed when i do a clean reinstall of the latest Nvidia drivers, this can sometimes fix this issues for a while. sometimes like today it does nothing but waste time. I've Tried: new HDMI cables, different monitor ports, restarts, driver reinstalls, checked all color management app or locations in widows. I'm really lost to why this happens, I'm sure its a driver issue. but where is it going wrong. and why is a temporary clean install fixing it? I feel like there's a color profile changing somewhere but i cannot seem to find a clear path to or if that location exists. Please tell me I'm not alone here haha. Cheers Daniel.

Hello everyone! I've finally upgraded my good ol' trusty 1060 6Gb to a 4070 Super and it's also time for a monitor upgrade. I'm currently using a BenQ 1080p 60hz monitor and I'd like to upgrade to a 1440p preferably 27" but I have no idea what is good or not. My budget is 300~€ maybe 350€ if it's really a must have. I also got some links from the website I'm gonna purchase one with some of the popular ones in those specs and the price that I would be able to get it at. Hello, I want to buy a monitor, and I found these two, but I don't know which one to choose. If someone has experience with either of them, could you share your experience? I've watched some videos, but I still want your opinion as well. First is iiyama G-Master GCB3480WQSU-B1 (cant find it on amazon sorry) Second one is Gigabyte G34WQC A (probably this one LINK) If you think that both of them are the wrong choice, feel free to recommend a different one, but I have some requirements: 1. 34 inches | 3440x1440 | 144Hz/165Hz/180Hz 2.I don't care if you hate ultrawide monitors; I need one. Yes, I already have one at work, so I'm familiar with the aspect ratio. 3. I know my price is quite low, but it should have really small ghosting and response time. I understand that these requirements are high for that price range, but still, if you find something with a 180Hz refresh rate but noticeable ghosting, then I'm not interested. (165Hz < less noticeable ghosting) 4. My limit is 400€ and here EU market. Thanks in advance

Hi everyone, I was playing F1 23 HDR for 1-2 Hours, shut down my PC and got some Food. After turning my PC back on, I noticed a vertical while Line of Pixels across the Screen. It is even streaking beyond the normal Display-Output of my PC, probably for Pixel-Shift Im guessing? I thought this was an issue with my GPU/Cable at first, but when I replaced the Cable and tried a different Output-Device it was still present, so I looked in the Monitor-Menu without anything being connected. - It was still there... Then I reran Pixel-Cleaning a couple of times and even reflashed the Firmware, all to no avail sadly, so I started an RMA with the Shop where I bought it. I also wondered if it was damaged somehow, but I did not see any Marks indicating Damage from the Outside on the Monitor. Has anyone experienced a similair Issue? Some Pictures of the Issue attached!

Yeah I know there are a lot of questions about this type of issue but I checked everywhere and nobody seems to have the same issue as me. So, I'm using DELL Inspirion 15 7559 from 2016 I believe. Today my screen got infested with thin, horizontal lines across whole screen, height and width wise. Those lines aren't any exact color - they seem like it's 50/50 darker and ligher lines... Or maybe half of them are darker and half of them is 'normal' brightness? I have no idea. They almost look like scan lines on CRT TV. No those arent black, green or whatever else. They seem to come up after few minutes of using the laptop - they arent there from the start. Those lines seem to get worse, dissapear by themselves and re-appear all by random chance. Also. Sometimes, but not always, I do see those lines appear when my screen goes black if i don't use the laptop for a while, then those lines kinda 'fizz out' as the black screen of screen saver dissapears and wallpapaer appear. It's first time using this forum for me, I will try attaching a photo/video of this. And no, they don't appear on screenshots. VID_20240311_195421 (1).mp4
