So I was looking for some game mods online when I found Nexus mods (yeah I'm new to this) so I decided to register since I like the site. However, when I register, there's a three step process of 1. Choose Package 2. Fill in the form 3. Confirmation I fill in the form completely then I continue and it brings me back to step 1, what's up with that?

Hello~ I just did a bit of looking around at ESD-safe vacuum cleaners and, since they're quite expensive compared to any conventional vacuum cleaner, I was thinking of trying to mod my existing vacuum cleaner so that its tube and accessories are ESD-safe. From my understanding, ESD-safe vacuums use materials that inhibit "triboelectric charging", which causes the friction of air and debris moving through the tubes to generate a charge. Wouldn't I then just be able to make (or have made for me) a custom tube and set of accessories for a conventional vacuum cleaner made from materials that inhibit the charge just the same as an ESD-safe vacuum cleaner? If anyone has any insight on this and/or the materials such vacuum cleaners use, please let me know. ^^ - Sumiko

source: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/286852/South_Korea_cracks_down_on_cheaters_with_law_targeting_illicit_game_mods.php there are two kinds of mods someone can make benign ones - like HD texture packs, sound mods .. cheats - aimbots South Korea just passed an amendment to a law that promotes the game industry; the said amendment outright bans creation and distribution of software that are not allowed by the game's publisher / developer and their respective Terms of Service in practice, the law is so ambiguous that it also can be used to outright outlaw the said benign mods

Inside my computer, I have a set of the NZXT Hue + LEDs. They have been great except fo the cam software. It crashes and slows down. It doesn't let me log in sometimes and it sometimes doesn't recognize the LEDs. Is there a third party app for the Hue + that works a bit better because I could really use a better version?

So recently ive completely lost myself to the immersive and atmospheric world of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and it makes me sad that there arent more games like that. However Fallout 3 could potentially get close to the miserable survival experience of stalker with the help of some mods. So which hardcore survival mods for FO3 that i should look into?

Alright everyone I've been following Linus for a while and I been wanting to work on this project for 3 years. It was an ABSOLUTE success and it's still a work in progress while I wait for some custom stuff I ordered to make this build pretty badass! But back to the task, so I took my aging Alienware X51 R1 (i5 version) and transferred the important stuff (mobo &a front panel I/O) to a Jonsbo UMX1 ITX Case. While in the process I learned about how alienware's front panel I/O interacts with the Alienware Command Center to use the LEDs with the program. After 6 1/2 hours plus an all nighter cuz I had work, I managed to piece together how to MacGiver beautifully all of the essentials to make the AWCC stock LEDs to work! I will be taking questions and try to respond to them in a timely manner and if I have time (I'm a senior technician in Vegas) I can make a video about it. Take a look at the pictures and comment! I saved the Alienware head too to make it look legit

I figure this is the right section of the forum for this kind of post. I'd like to add LED lighting to my desk. I'm not sure where or what are the best LED strips (in terms of quality:price:features ratio) for doing this. I don't intend to put them inside my PC. Just on the backside of my desk and maybe behind my monitor. Thanks for suggestions. I found this: https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/top-emitting/outdoor-led-light-strips-weatherproof-led-tape-light-with-18-smds-per-ft-3-chip-smd-led-5050/1622/ Which they look pretty good. Just checking if there are others I should know about. But these look good as well: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QAX8YPY

So, I've came across an external GPU. Which is cheap and I was wondering if it actually works. Mostly because my GPU sucks in my laptop, and its soldered to the motherboard. Here's the link from amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Q4VMLF6/ref=olp_product_details?_encoding=UTF8&me=

So, I pulled out my 250GB hard drive on my Xbox 360, and I looked inside of it (I didnt take it apart) and its an Xbox 360 S BTW, And I realized, it has a pretty good processor, a dedicated 512MB GPU, and 512 MB RAM. Could you possibly take it apart, get a new HDD or SSD, and add more memory, install Windows 10, and have a gaming PC for around 50 - 150 dollars? RAM is pretty cheap, and a 500 GB HDD ( we can get from my brother's old laptop) is cheap. So can you do this?

Buy Moto Z Force on Amazon: http://geni.us/KTkp Buy Moto Mods on Amazon: http://geni.us/GXYNyec Well... this is definitely something a little different than what you're used to seeing from us. Let us know - what did you think of our first "LTT Short" ?

Talking about case ilumination LTT and almost all others always use LED strips but am I the only one that thinks the look pretty ugly? I mean Yeah the can look cool and the RGB stuff is nice but I hate how you cant tell the space between every individual LED on the strip and your case is then iluminated with the strange "striped" pattern whether you want it or not. You know what I mean? So my question goes more about asking if there are alternatives that provide a smooth lighting effect maybe RGB (or even not!) that one can get. I think this is what the call enclosed LEDs, or LED enclosures but it really grinds my gears that this is the norm (images). I don't like the difference in intensity that is so noticible and the fact you can see and even count all the LEDs. Do you think one can mod an enclosure? leds in a tube or smth? Maybe this belongs on the Mods thread but I wanted to ask on Cases first..... So anyway Penny for your thoughts!

What are some of the best mods in Skyrim to make the game look better? Texture upgrades, physics upgrades, etc. Only playing @ 1080p btw so mods intended for 4K+ and whatnot won't be needed (for now). Bonus points for links and short descriptions.

Hello. Just had a quick question about AIO radiators. I have a 120mm AIO cooler and I was just wondering how plausible it may be to replace the 120mm radiator to a 240mm or larger later on. I understand that these AIO aren't meant to be taken apart and such, but has anyone ever tried to do so? Thank you

I have been playing this awesome mod for day or two. I suggest anyone that likes Skyrim to give it a go. It's completely new map, story, and has nothing to do with the Elder Scrolls lore as far as I know. Leveling system is different and the story/dialog is fully voice acted. Voice acting is pretty good for a mod. http://enderal.com/ http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/77868/? I found out about this through youtuber called Gopher. He also has tutorial video for the install

If you have no idea about NV mods then it might be hard for you to help, just saying. So whenever I load up New Vegas it crashes upon reaching the Obsidian loading screen. Sometimes it gets further and loads up a few DLC/Mod Notifications which is unusual, since it usually happens in-game. I've used FNVEdit multiple times and fixed every 'fatal' issue. I've tried using no mods but it still crashes. I've reinstalled New Vegas and verified game cache integrity multiple times. My game was working fine until I decided to uninstall the 'Niner Companion mod' as well as the 'Delilah Companion mod'. I did this because Niner's face was a massive exclamation mark, and I didn't want to use any companion apart from Willow. One of the 'fatal' errors was being caused by Fallout Character Overhaul's plugin for Niner and Delilah, so I deactivated said plugins through the 'Plugins' tab. I'm not sure if I should reinstall the mods instead of just deactivating them. Please help me and thank you for reading!

Hi All, I'll begin by saying that this is an advertisement for the skills of someone who is able to photoshop an image to meet the demands of myself. This is a paid one-time job. Payment will be transferred after completion of the job. Payment is open to negotiation prior to commencement of the job. I'm looking for a photo shopper to spruce up my car's dash background. It sounds simple, but for someone not versed in the art of graphics software like myself - it may be a bit of a challenge. As websites offer limited low-resolution and skewed images of the template needed - I need someone who is able to clean up an image and work to a template. I'm installing aftermarket gauges in the car at some point. As such I'd like the stock gauge background to match. I pretty much want 'the essence' of the aftermarket gauges printed and fit onto the existing speedometer and tachometer. Objectives to meet are: -High resolution product -Changing of font and numbering to MagistralC (bold+italics) -Inclusion of aftermarket style gauge lines/arrows and markers -Switching around of MPH to KPH marks & vice-versa Feel free to message me if you're interested for more information. Attached are some resources and templates. I look forward to working with you. Cheers, Saya. ufonts.com_magistralc-bold-opentype.otf

Hi, I'm looking for a really weird PC case, like in an odd shape like R2-d2 or k9, basically anything that's not just a cuboid. I don't really care for windows and haven't really got the time to build the case myself. I was wondering if anyone knows of any cool cases or places that would sell a case like this. Thanks

Hi guys, After pouring too much time and too much $ into my latest build, I saw the Inwin 303, and realized that it looks cool. Dammit Inwin. So, I was looking into it and realized that there's no grommets anywhere. Being the OCD freak that I am, I needed to fix this, so enter custom grommets. I've seen some questions about this topic, and there isn't much information online about it, so I decided to make this basic guide. I haven't actually bought all the parts for the build, so this won't have any pictures, but if people want some I can get the rest of the stuff and get that up in a week or two. Anyways, guide time: Find some rubber. Now, there's a couple things that you need to consider here. First is colour. If you want black, that is the easiest to find. Of course, since we are doing this ourselves if you're adventurous you can experiment with other colours. However, make sure it matches your case colour well (black specifically can look kinda bad if the shades don't blend well). Next, you need to get the right thickness. Generally, 1-2mm or 1/16" is ideal. Last, check reviews or specs if available to make sure it is flexible enough to handle a good amount of cable insertions and won't stiffen. An example of something that works decently is: https://www.amazon.ca/LASCO-02-1048E-Rubber-6X6-Inch-16-Inch/dp/B0074II2K6/ref=sr_1_7?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1470151863&sr=1-7&keywords=1%2F16 Get some double sided tape for putting the grommets onto the back of the motherboard tray. This is pretty easy to find, just keep the width of the tape low if you can. Here is a decent example: https://www.amazon.ca/Genuine-9448AB-Strength-Double-Adhesive/dp/B01ADR2HGY/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1470152074&sr=8-12&keywords=3m+double-sided+tape Once you get your rubber, grab some KY and bring up an Incognito window... Take a piece of paper, and trace out all of the cutouts on the motherboard tray that you want to cover on the paper, keeping at least 4 inches (10 cm) between each one if you're using one sheet for multiple traces. Then, depending on the width of your tape, trace around that shape, but with some extra room to allow for tape to be put around the edges. Take the paper, and put it on top of the rubber. Put a slight imprint onto the rubber with the inner and outer shapes, then grab an exact-knife (sharp blade) and cut out the larger shape only. Now you want to consider the cutout shape you want to use for the grommet. There are a few ways, that very in stealth, effectiveness, etc. I have attached a file with a few designs that have worked for me (sorry for the crap quality, I'm doing this at my office in Paint). Look at some other cases on the market for more ideas and/or examples. Once you choose a design, cut that out of the inner shape with your blade. Now, adhere the tape around the cutout on the back of the motherboard tray, and apply the grommet. Enjoy your cleaner system! Grommet Tracing: Cutout Designs:

Hi, I want to mod my PC with Black-Blue color. I saw many repaint modding video's using plasti dip for case, parts, and armors, but not PCB. I want to paint the PCB of my GPU's back (unarmored), since I live in tropical country the humidity is a bit high and rust can hit my components very easily. I think the paint can protect it from rusting and give it a better looking, but is it safe? Can it damage the component? Thank you, and sorry for my bad English.
