I just want to come here and make absolute sure, but I ordered the 7700x bundle off of microcenter as an 18 min pickup. Microcenter says that it will reserve the item for a maximuim of 3 days and if i dont pick it up within that window it'll cancel automatically. It also just shows the reserve as an order and says that i''ve already paid for it for some reason, and there's no reciept or ticket of some sort making assuring you that it is reserved, and it even says that it's out of stock and it strarting to worry me a bit bc i dont want to drive an hour just to realize i didnt read it right. If i go monday to microcenter will it still be reserved?

I've been looking on microcenter for some parts, and ive always noticed that their cpus are basically on sale forever. Is this the same at other stores or is it just this one which is at Tustin CA? For example, both the ryzen 5 3600 and 5600x are both $50 off, and even the ryzen 7 7700x is $120 off! This has been going on for 3 months!

I have had my pc for a little over a year and today I had it on for about 10 minutes and I unplugged my headphones from the front io then a spark happened on the motherboard at the JAud1 plug and caused a burn mark. I contacted Microcenter to start a claim and they said they won't warranty it because of physical damage even though I purchased their 2 year replacement plan

I'm in the market for a CPU and Mobo. I have 32GB (16GBx2) DDR4 3200mhz ready to go. I've got an old 4790k that is still rocking along, but I recently came into a 3080 ti (4790k is running a 2080) and want to upgrade. I came back to America to visit family and I figured I would use Microcenter to do an upgrade. Right now they have a deal on an 11700k + ASUS Z590-PLUS TUF Gaming WiFi Intel LGA 1200 ATX Motherboard for only $299.00!!! Or I could pay $349.99 and get the 11900k + ASUS Z590-PLUS TUF Gaming WiFi Intel LGA 1200 ATX. This seems like a really good deal despite 11th gen was awful at the time of release when compared to their 10th gen offerings. I'm no fanboy for either side, and I just want the best bang for buck and a build that will last for years to come. I originally wanted to wait and get zen 4, but I think the cost is too much at this stage for AM5 and DDR5. I checked around a bit and saw I could get a 5800x and ASUS X570 TUF Gaming Plus (WIFI) AMD AM4 ATX Motherboard (open box) for about $350.00. The last idea was to spring a bit for a 5900x at around $330.00 after discounts and couple that with a Gigabyte Aorus Elite WiFi X570 AMD AM4 ATX for around $200.00 or so. Shouldn't be more than $550.00 I thought this might be a sensible option for longevity with the extra cores, but I'm not certain if the extra $200 is justifiable, but I do like builds that can stand the test of time. For $300.00 the 11700k + Z590 Mobo sounds like a steal, and I was thinking it could probably overclock it and match or exceed the 11900k's performance. Then I wonder if $50.00 dollars and a bit of overclocking would be even better with the 11900k? Or would you guys recommend the Zen 3 setup with 8 or 12 cores? I will mostly be gaming either on a 4k 60hz TV or a 144-165hz 1440p monitor (Haven't purchased a new monitor yet, but I will.) I work with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD etc... so single thread performance is a must too. I don't think I will be doing many heavy multi threaded workloads, but I will occasionally use handbrake, premiere, etc... Thanks for taking the time to read and provide any advice. I recently went to a microcenter to see if there were any new cards to my surprise they had some amd cards. Me not being too familiar with their prices I bought a RX 6800, as I sold my 1080ti before the 30 series was released, and have been waiting ever since. Because of this desperation I just threw my card at the cashier and paid 1100$ for the card, when I looked it up it seems that the card should only be valued at 500$. Did I just get scammed by micro center or is there a reason the card is currently priced like this. I think I'm going to return the card, and put my pc out of commission again. As much as I hate waiting I don't think I can justify the price. Has anyone else noticed this? Keep in mind the card has a 30 day return which i am planning to take advantage of, and i am more just probing to see if this is common for everyone else/ if any one has some insight. The money isn't a huge deal to me personally as ill just be returning it shortly. Also keep in mind i'm using scamming liberally, i do not feel as though micro center is maliciously trying steal my lunch money. it is just there to grab attention and raise discussion on the topic of the increasing rates we are starting to see with retail prices, specifically with the over 100% mark up on AMD cards. At least locally Nvidias offerings have not had such a drastic increase.

So I live in Louisville Kentucky and the closest Micro Center is 2 hours away (one way, not round trip). At the current moment, I don't need to get anything for my computer or my 3D printer, but I have a couple days off from college coming up and I was thinking about going as I've never been there before and who knows maybe I'll find something I need or a great deal on 3D printer filament. My main question is, is Micro Center worth it? Like are the prices really good? Or do you think it'd be a good day trip and not something to do every time I need some filament? Maybe I should just go for a little day trip away from college? What are everyone's thoughts?

I live less than five minutes from a microcenter and the guys I know in BYO are already talking about people asking for permission to camp outside the store overnight 16th-17th to get their 3080. I'm not that crazy, I'll show up an hour or two before the doors open and hope for the best. BUT if they sell out of 3080s because I don't feel like camping, I'll just come back on the 24th and pick up a 3090; I'd bet there will be much less of a line for that (kind of like when they opened early for the release of Threadripper and literally no one was waiting). Do I need it? No, of course not. Very few people outside of professional settings will (Even Linus set his new workstations up with Threadrippers and 2080Tis, not Titans) actually do. I'd much rather spend my money on the next generation Ryzen CPU release, but if people are gonna go Black Friday for the 3080; not being a part of that alone is well worth the ~2x in price. I'm not a people person and I literally think that spending the extra money not to have to wait in crazy lines while people push, pull, ignore social distancing, and act like fools... well, that's well worth the price. If I do get a 3080, though; I've already justified spending $1500. Why not go full Zoidberg on it with a new sTRX4 board and 24 cores? It's an investment in future proofing. Right? Plus I can always donate my current internals to the local high school's eSports team; so not only is it the right thing to do for me, but it'll help out the children. The poor children. They needs it! And it's a tax write-off! Shit, did I just Smeagol/Gollum myself into spending even more of too much money for meager reasons? I thinks we did. With that said, I really hope the line for the 3080 isn't too bad because the 3090 will just corrupt me and send me down a path of severe debt and excellent framerates. The end.

He will be playing 60hz as he prefers his large tv to a fast monitor, so he does not need a monitor, he wants it for fortnite, and maybe a few other small games. Micro atx isn't necessary but highly preferred, also some budget keyboard and mouse options would be great, he already has a microphone and headset. It also needs wireless wifi.

I am building a PC build for my friend. I am giving him my old RAM ($50), and he is going to use his GTX 1050 Ti until I sell him my GTX 1080 Ti (prob when ampere comes out), we will also be using his old HDD. It would be preferable if we are able to buy all the parts at the St. Louis Park, MN Microcenter, but some parts from Amazon, Newegg, etc. are ok. (There is a $20 discount if you buy CPU+MOBO at Microcenter). So what do you think of this parts list? He mainly plays War Thunder and other FPS games. Thanks

So long story short i think my motherboard died on me, my work schedule prevents me from investing any serious time into trouble shooting this issue. So this all starts almost 2 weeks ago on Wednesda, 22nd. My Lenovo yoga 3 pro's charging jack broke, okay I bought the 1 Year Accidental Damage Warranty. I bring it in the day after, all is well so far. About a week later on Wednesday March 19th I get a call saying my laptop is fixed and ready to be picked up. I go in on the 20th and pick it up, I notice there were scratches on the case that were not there when I dropped it off. I spoke with a manager, and the next day I got a call from the Service manager and he asked me to bring it in so he can take a look. Friday night I go to use it for the first time, guess what the charging jack still isn't working and has the same issue. At this point I am super pissed because, they not only mishandled my stuff but they didn't even fix what was wrong. I go in on Saturday, the manager says that he'll do what he can about the scratches but now he's going to need to send it in to the manufacturer to get fixed, but they might just decide to buy it back. It is Tuesday night right now and I am going to call in to see what they're going to do because I need a laptop by the end of next week because I am going on a vacation and need a laptop for that. I picked out 3 laptops to look at if they decide to buy it back,if they do I also expect they'll move the warranty which has about 6 months left on it that I bought for the laptop that broke(charging jack, easy fix) and they failed to fix and handle properly. Has anyone had to deal with something like this at a Micro center or Best Buy? What did they offer to do for you? Just kind of looking for advice on what to do because I've been 2 weeks(and counting) without a laptop.

I have an FX 8350 and I feel like it's upgrade time. I live by a Microcenter, and they offer fantastic deals on both of these processors. Here is my dilemma: I have a 144hz (ASUS VG248QE) monitor and an r9 290. I play CS:GO (and obviously utilize the 144hz), Overwatch, Battlefield 1, GTA V, and H1Z1. Do I go for the i5 6500, or do I go for the $100 more expensive (when bundled with motherboard) 6600k? I don't plan on overclocking either unless I get the 6600k, then I obviously would overclock when it starts wearing down in like 3-5 years. What do I do? I plan on adding a Vega (RX 580/590?) or Volta GPU (1170?) when they arrive Also, I really don't care about getting 144hz in any game but Counter-Strike and Overwatch(Which i currently do), every other game is enjoyable how it is even if I'm not hitting 144FPS.
