Hello, and thanks for reading this already! I'm looking for a Micro ATX case, that isn't sheit, and is easily transportable. Good durability is preferred too, due to obvious reasons Preferably also room for an Air Cooler, and 2 way SLI. Thanks in advance!

Hello guys, I have a burning question about an air cooler I wanna buy. My biggest fear is wether the new Air Cooler will fit nicely and won't obstruct my DDR2 DIMMS that I have. First of all , I have an MSI 760GM-P23 (FX) Motherboard, and a simple microATX case called Aerocool Qs-180 Micro-ATX. Right now the CPU I have is the AMD Phenom II X4 Black Edition, and his stock fan is terrible noise wise. The stock fans dimensions are 92x91x62 (Length x Width x Height) and I cannot find any reasonable priced aftermarket cooler that will stop the noise that the fan makes and also has good TDP . My CPU needs at least 125 TDP. Will the Freezer A11 fit inside my mobo nicely without obstructing my RAM? (108 (L) x 90 (W) x 130 (H) mm) I think if I place the fan facing the case fan on the back it will fit, but I cannot understand for sure, and I need help. If the Freezer A11 won't fit nicely I want another alternative. Thank you for your time.

I currently have a vision. I have my minecraft server build vision, which can be seen in that specific thread, and I have another build vision. This vision would consist of a massive computer that could run all adobe creative cloud apps smoothly, and have enough storage for 4k pro res videos. I also want it to be able to handle intense encoding load, and quite a bit of mild load games, and maybe enough power for 3 27" monitors? 1080p or 4k... idrc. I have a budget of $1800, and I would prefer Micro ATX, but if needed I guess ATX would be ok. Any ideas? Recommendations? I really don't know where to start with this. (I've never had $1800 to spend, and on top of that I don't know what parts are crucial for these tasks.)

Hi all, I'm planning to build a high-end µATX gaming rig. Price point is 3500 CHF with monitor (ASUS ROG Swift). I already have a good mouse and keyboard. I'm going with µATX because I prefer the small form factor over 3+ PCIe slots. I also went with a M.2 SSD because I like the idea of zero SATA drives and additional power/data cables. I'd like to run games from Minecraft, CS:GO to BF4 and StarCitizen (fingers crossed ). This is what I have in mind at the moment. If temperatures allow it (additional cooling?), I might upgrade to a dual SLI config in the future (hence the PSU). https://www.digitec.ch/en/ShopList/Show?shopListId=54A64A37C6CA3BA7471EB36A795D2D70 I'd like to hear your inputs. Even with my budget, if there is something completely out of place in my list, please let me know. Thanks NiFa18

Thinking about getting a new case - need recommendations
STRMfrmXMN posted a topic in Power Supplies
I'm thinking about getting a case to replace the one that my old prebuilt uses. My preferred criteria: Some sort of understated design. The Corsair 760T, for example, is too flashy. Needs to house Micro ATX. Would prefer no side panel window. Would like some sort of rubberizing of the hard drive cages to reduce noise. Would like to use an ODD and would like the front to look decent if I used one. Needs to be under 19 inches (482 mm) in depth so I can actually fit it on my desk. Width and height don't matter. Trying to keep under $100 but might stretch if I really like the looks of the case. Watchful eye is on the Define Mini. Any suggestions please? -

Hey guys! So I'm currently building my brother a microatx PC which will mostly be used for gaming and Solidworks/Matlab simulations for college. However I was stuck when it came to deciding on a cooler since we travel internationally when we go home (being international students) and tend to take our pcs with us. I didn't want to use a tower cooler like the Noctua's or be quiet!'s since i don't want the cooler's weight to physically stress the motherboard since airport staff don't really take the fragile stickers too seriously... I got around it with my pc by using a corsair h100i, so only the pump stays attached. I remove my GPU whenever flying. So that leaves me with either a 120mm AIO liquid cooler or a low profile cooler. I could use an h80i, but since I'm using a SIlverstone SG09 case, I've heard some folks having GPU clearance issues resulting in moving the GPU to a lower PCI slot. My other option was to use Noctua's NH-L9i. I most likely will only overclock to 4.0Ghz at most, since any additional juice isn't really needed, I was wondering if I should just go with the NH-L9i. Unless you have any info of someone successfully using a 120mm AIO liquid cooler in the SG09/SG10. Also if you have time, I was wondering if you have any good recommendations for a PSU that is compatible with the SG09, since the internal cable is rotated 180 degrees to the PSU's socket, which will result in a lot of twisting of the cable. Refer this forum link towards the bottom: http://www.overclock.net/t/1327623/build-log-silverstone-sg09-micro-atx-sff-powerhouse Here's the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/colflame/saved/VhdMnQ Thanks for an advice and help! And hope you have a great Thanksgiving Day!

I am planning to purchase this type of build.. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/sephallanx/saved/hfpV3C The motherboard is chosen for its micro atx The graphic card is optional because to decrease budget buy them when I have budget The processor is chosen for its budget and its gigahertz.. Had drive is chosen for its lowest price Wifi is optional too but preferred Ram is chosen but to be add later on.. Case is chosen for its simple looks and affordable power supply The build should be upgradable and lower in price. Also it will not be used for overclocking Note: This is only for future references and i've been doing research ever since I started my journey into computers

Dear linustechtips-Users, I've been following the linustechtips-YoutubeChannel for a long time and helped me in many ways. Finally i need some Advices for my next Plan... I'm basically a Lan-Player who participated on many Lans and so on, but it was always difficult to travel around in Europe with a Full Tower Case... <_< Well since i've planned to upgrade my System i was thinking about: Why should i not build a micro-ATX System? It looks cool, saves space on my Table and is practically better to bring that System on Lans. Actually my current System: AMD FX 8320 @ 4,0 Ghz CPU-Cooler CNPS9900, Max Blue by ZALMAN 2x 4GB DDR3 1600mhz by G.Skill ASRock 990FXA Extreme 3 AMD Radeon HD 6950 2GB by XFX M620 Power Supply by Cooler Master A Chaser 71 Case by Thermaltake 1x 120GB SSD by SanDisk 1x 1TB Black Edition by Western Digital 1x Optical Drive [CD/DVD] Sound Blaster Z by CREATiVE What i'm going to upgrade and why: Replacing the AMD FX 8320 with an Intel Xeon E3-1231v3 because of lower Powerconsumption, better Single-Threaded Perfomance, less heat, no reason to overlock, no interest on an intengrated Graphicchip + HyperThreading. Replacing the Motherboard, but i'm not sure which mATX-Board would be the best Choice... (i need Place for my Dual-Slot-Graphiccard and a Single-Slot-Soundcard). I won't run a SLi- or Crossfire-System. Replacing the Case, but i'm not sure which mATX-Case would be good enough because i'm actually someone who wants Space for Cable-Managment, Space for an Optical Drive and maybe a Window on the Sidepanel since i care so much about the look inside of my System. Replacing the Graphiccard to an AMD R9 285 because of lower Powerconsumption, running faster on several Applications, less heat, new architecture, better PricePoint than nVidia. So finally i need some Advices from you, which Case would be perfect for an unique look and enough Space for 1x Graphic- and 1x Soundcard and an optical Drive (incl. some Cablemanagment-Option?) Which Motherboard would you recommend for my System? In the Future i'll upgrade my Ram to 16Gigs since i work so much on Sony Vegas and Photoshop. If my Plan has some Mistakes, i beseech you to recommend me something else. I want to keep that all in a lower-Budget Area, i don't need an i7 or a GTX 980 since i'm mainly playing CS:GO and Guild Wars 2. (just sometimes newer Games ) I hope it makes sense to build a micro-ATX System... ? I hope guys that you can help and i wish you a great evening! Best Regards, JK

So I recently built an atx system and it ended being much bigger than I expected. The case I used was Cooler Master HAF XM. I would prefer to have a smaller form factor that would help move it back and forth for college. I plan on switching to a micro-atx board and getting a smaller case. The essential idea here to fit all of my components in the least amount of space. Here's what I'm looking for in case: Fits micro-atx board Fits my 240mm Cooler Master Seidon rad Fits 280 mm long GPU Room for 1 SSD and 1 HDD Thanks for reading and I would love to get some case suggestions from you guys and gals!

I want to build a smaller system so it's easier to take it with me for when I plan to stay elsewhere for some time. I do a lot of photography and video, so it's boring to only put the stuff on drives and wait until I'm home to work on it, so I want to be able to take things with me, but the 800D is huge and heavy. This is my system now: Intel i7-4930K ASUS P9X79-E WS Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600MHz 32GB ASUS GeForce GTX 780 3GB DirectCU II OC Creative Labs Sound Blaster ZxR Samsung 840 Pro SSD 256GB/128GB (Games/Windows) Two 3.5" HDDs as well I saw the new case from Corsair, the Graphite Series 380T, but that of course is Mini-ITX, and I have a LGA 2011 CPU, and I need more slots, so that's a no go. I looked at the Aerocool DS Cube and BitFenix Prodigy M, but I prefer the Aerocool even though the air intake around the front has no dust filter (can probably fix something myself there). I have the Corsair H100i and want to use Noctua fans all over to make it quiet. So I'm pretty much decided on the case, but for the motherboard, what I come up with is the ASUS Rampage IV Gene. Expensive, but seems to be worth it. But are there others worth checking out?

Hey so im thinking about upgrading my PC Case since I have a Cit Mars B and its incredibly loud if you leave the side fan on, so I was wondering if this was any good? http://www.amazon.co.uk/AvP-Wolverine-Inverted-Blue-Tower/dp/B00940X4M8/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1409447800&sr=8-14&keywords=atx+case+blue Only thing putting me off is it being inverted, would you simply just have to rotate the motherboard when you install it or would i need a brand new motherboard? any help is appreciated! Thanks! My PC Specs: Intel i7 4770k 3.2/3.9Ghz AMD Radeon R9 270x GPU 8GB Crucial Ballistix RAM Corsair Cx600 Seagate Baracuda 1TB MSI Z87-G43 Gaming MOBO Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit TP-Link Wifi USB Aula Keyboard and Mouse Set Aula Mouse Mat

Ok guys and gals... I am looking for a case that has to fill a few tick marks... Hoping someone out there knows exactly what I need. Currently I am using the Silverstone FT03. I love this case but it does not have enough air flow. 240mm radiator support is a must Depth of case cannot exceed 15" Width of case cannot exceed 11" Height of case cannot exceed 4 fraking feet?! OK, so the height doesn't really matter. Needs to be able to support a full ATX PSU. Needs to be able to support an 12" video card. Needs to be able to support at least 1 SSD and 2 3.5" HDDS. Money really doesn't matter as long as it is ridiculous... 200 dollars or so should be enough. The case must be well constructed, and black. Thank you to anyone that can think up a case that falls into the categories. Of the cases that I have owned in the past I appreciate the build quality of Silverstone, and Lian Li.

Hi all, I am looking to build a MicroATX gaming PC with at least 8 USB 2.0/3.0 ports. Anyone know of a particular brand/model motherboard that would support this? Also, any other part recommendations would be terrific. I like the portability, and I would like the 8 or so usb - it seems to me like that is sort of uncommon with the microATX boards - I am not even completely sure whether that is possible or not. I plan on overclocking, and want something with the good TMU/VRAM GPU for pc gaming mods implementing high resolution textures. I am located in the United States and I don't really have any other preferences besides the things listed. However, I would really like to do without an optical drive like a burner, but I don't know if that is possible or not, or whether they even make cases like that. My budget is a long haul budget as I will being working on this over the course of some time, but I would say $1200 maximum. Thank you for all of your help!!! EDIT: Would also like to pick and choose components to transfer from my current rig: MSI H77MA-G43 i5-3570k Stock cooling 2 x 4GB DDR3 RAM Geforce GTX 660 120 GB SSD, 220 GB HDD Can't remember PSU without opening case Thanks!

Hi everyone, new to the forum here and wanted to get some thoughts on this MicroATX build I've been eagerly planning for a while now! Here's the build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/dsp94/saved/#view=DxPQqs Bear in mind the PSU and GPU are from my current setup. I don't really have the budget to upgrade my GPU at the moment so I'm planning on keeping this as is. Would be great to hear your thoughts on potential compatibility / bottlenecking issues in case there may be something I'm missing or have overlooked. If there are any potential savings I could make that'd also be great to hear. Thanks guys!

My Fiancee is looking to build an x99 based system in the Micro ATX form factor. She wishes the case to be the Corsair Air 240 and has a budget of £1300. She wants to go with the MATX from factor because there isn't too much room for a full-size ATX case. She would also like to SLI in the future and if possible have a gtx980 in the system but if that is too much then the 970 will be fine. The system will be getting used for Gaming, running various amount's of virtual machines and some web development. Location/Preferred supplier I live in the UK, and will buy from anywhere apart from Aria PC Thing's not needed for build: Operating system Keyboard Mouse Monitor
