Hey guys I was looking at the Corsair 280x case, and I really like it. It's not that it is out of my budget range, but I was wondering if there were any similar matx cases out there you guys would personally vouch for. The two features that stand out to me are: -Dual chambered design/or sectioned design -Small form factor Any thoughts?

I am building a MicroATX pc and was wondering if there is any case that would fit on my drawer. This is my drawer that I play on https://m.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/art/20360464/. I am on a budget of around $50. I know it’s kind of weird playing on a drawer but it works as a desk haha. Parts I am getting: Ryzen 5 1600 MSI B350M Mortar 2x4GB G.Skill Ripjaws V ZOTAC GTX 1060 6GB Amp! 120GB SSD 2.5” (I already have a 3.5” 1TB) EVGA 500 BQ 500W

Hi everyone I am building a micro atx build with these parts: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor ($165.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Asus - PRIME B450M-A/CSM Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($79.99 @ Amazon) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (1 x 16GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($160.99 @ Newegg) Storage: ADATA - Ultimate SU800 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($57.89 @ OutletPC) Video Card: Asus - Radeon RX 580 8GB DUAL Video Card ($239.99 @ Newegg) Case: Rosewill - FBM-05 MicroATX Mini Tower Case ($19.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair - VS 550W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply ($39.89 @ OutletPC) Total: $764.73 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2018-08-06 18:46 EDT-0400 All in all it cost me 743 USD to buy the parts and they apparently all shipped within 3 hours of ordering. A couple of potentially (obvious) questions: I plan of course on undervolting the GPU to help reduce thermal throttling. But anyone with this card, mind telling me or posting HWinfo or something about thermals? I've read mixed reviews about it, almost 50/50 split on being a decent card and being a below average card. It is a small case with likely little airflow, despite what Rosewill has on their descriptions. I have some arctic silver paste I plan on re-pasting the CPU wit after I clean it with a cleaning kit. Has anyone built in this case or a similar case before? Any case mods or tips to help with thermals? Hopefully it won't be too bad as I believe the most "intensive" game I am planning on playing is Overwatch (?) I thought about maybe drilling or adding some extra perforations to the side panel? I'll try to update this thread when I'm building. First micro atx build so hopefully it goes well. Cheers!

Ive been hunting along alot of forums and there's too many conflicting answers and not many seem to have the same issue as me: assuming budget isn't a limiting factor what is the best mobo for overclocking on the 1151 socket? I already made a mistake of getting confused and accidently getting a baord with alot less oc potential than I'd like and I dont wanna screw it up again (Got this https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAD7H6NW4992 on accident cause I spent so long running through forums in my barely awake state I decided THIS was the one and when I woke the next morning I never bothered to actually look closely, so if anyone needs one below NewEgg pricing I gotchu). Just for the sake of being thorough I'm rocking a delidded and liquid metaled 8600k with the dark rock pro 4 as my behemoth of a cooler, also preferrably the more nuetral colours on the board the better.... got a black, grey, and white astetic goin. Thanks for any advice!

I’m having trouble finding a Dual PC case that can house an ATX and a micro ATX motherboard. I’m not keen on spending 900 usd on an enthoo case. Any help would be awesome. I’m also considering building my own dual pc case if i cant find what im looking for, any advice in that would be great as well. Thanks LTT forumers!

I've been looking for a decent with a few bells and whistles for around $100 for the past few months and I just can't find anything that clicks with me, I'm looking for either a matx or an atx case, does not need RGB, bonus points for fan controller included, and a semisimple look such as the Corsair MasterBox Q300L, or the Fractal Design Define series. I'm buying everything on black friday so I can over a little bit, thanks in advance.

Menu boards in my store with a Nuc? Usb pc? Suggestions?
Bladst posted a topic in General Discussion
I was not sure where specifically to post this. I have a store that I would like to set up a two or three television menu set up. One with a static menu, one with a rotating menu, and one with ads I create on it. I wanted to see if this is something I could do with a NuC or a usb pc or even just a small micropc. I have can use a powerline adapter or wifi. I'd love to have it set up to run the two or three monitors and be able to update the images from a different pc. Does anyone have experience with this? Is there a program you would recommend? I appreciate any help or if someone could lead me to a forum of something similar. I could not find anything in the search. Thank you! -
the question is simple "Does small motherboard like microATX can be heated easier than ATX?" I'm sorry if there were lots and lots of this kind of question but i couldn't be able to find them at all I tried find them earlier but they are kinda old said it's true. So, I'm not sure if those answers still true for now. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know if I can purchase a side panel with window for the white bitfenix phenom micro-atx case, doing a very custom build soon and while it wasn't suppose to be a pretty build I got carried away and would really like to see the interior.

I need some help on finding a build that can play games from previous generations great (around 100 fps or greater) and this gen games at around 60 fps. There is also a small constraint to the pc and how I am wanting it to be both compact and portable so i can move it around with ease. The current build that I had made was with a Ryzen 5 1400 paired with an GTX 1060 6GB but I am not trying to go past $1000 for this build. This is the current part list That I have made: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/squibly/saved/69NLkL (Oh and I am wanting a DVD Drive to be able to watch movies as well)

Doing a new microATX build http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Alex_york/saved/LmsQzy Picked Thermaltake Core V21 MicroATX Mini Tower Case Was wondering if I can cram in those parts in smaller case of the same availability and quality and perhaps price range?

Hi all! So I have had my current PC for years now and I have made some upgrades along the way. The problem is I have been using an ATX case which is extremely bulky in the room that it is currently in and to get around this problem I would like to move to a micro ATX case. Originally I wanted to go all out and go mini ITX but as I did a bit of research I didn't easily find a mini ITX motherboard to take my CPU as well as potentially hold two 3.5" HDD. The parts that I currently own and want to move into the new case are as follows... AMD FX-4100 CPU MSI R9 290 GPU 600W PSU 120GB SSD Since my current motherboard is an ATX motherboard I will not be able to include it in the switch to the micro ATX case. My budget for the motherboard and case together is around £100 but I am willing to be a little flexible with the budget if it means I can get much better value. I was looking at the Thermaltake Versa H15 case for this switch. The main reasons I am looking at this case in particular is because it is cheap but it also has a window. The next challenge is the motherboard that I will need to switch to to which can accommodate my current CPU and also fit into the case. This is the part I'm currently struggling with. Unfortunately it has been a while since I have really looked at motherboards and I'm honestly a little lost. I know my FX CPU is AM3+ socket but I have no idea what micro ATX motherboards can support that. It would also be great if the motherboard had SATA 3 instead of SATA 2. Additionally I am thinking I may pick up the Corsair H80i V2 to cool my CPU instead of the bulky Arctic Freezer 13 that is currently in my PC. It would also be great if I could fit my two 3.5" HDD which hold the bulk of my media etc. If anyone would have any good ideas of what motherboard I could pick up that would be really helpful and greatly appreciated. I would also appreciate comments on future upgrades I could make. Thanks very much!!

Hello LTT community! My parents are divorced and I have a decent computer at my dads, but I live with my mom and don't have a good computer here. The most I can play is Minecraft at bare minimum 20 FPS max. I live in the USA, and my budget at max is around $700. Preferably, a monitor and keyboard should be included in the build. If you really want to know, this is the computer I have at my dads: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/6LnCGX If you do want to help me out and recommend a build, I'd like you to keep in mind that I have time to wait. I don't need a computer immediately, so I'm OK if a build you recommend includes parts that are not yet out. For example, GTX 1060, AMD's 470/460, etc. Although I very much route for the green side, it is fine if the build includes AMD graphics cards. Form Factor isn't really a problem for me. The only thing I don't want is EATX, cause those things are huge. Operating system.... Well I guess windows. I've really only dealt with windows 7 and I don't really like windows 10, but I can deal with it. To sum it up: $700 USD Budget Mini-ITX through ATX 1 Monitor + Keyboard included (Very Preferred, sort of required) Only 1 monitor. I dont need 7. I can wait to buy the PC Green Side graphics card (Preferred, not required) Windows (Insert number higher than 6 here) One last thing, if you're going to recommend me a PC, say why you picked the parts you did or why you picked X over Y. I don't exactly just want a part picker link since I'd like to look at my options. Thanks to anybody who can do this for me, ~Wolf

Hi all, I would like to build a low powered server for offsite use Mostly media films, TV, Music. Off site I have 70Mbps download and 22 Mbps upload. Onsite I have 17Mbps download and 0.9Mbps Upload. I would like to create a media server mostly for my use only maybe with Plex or something similar (any suggestions would be great) where I can download the content at 70Mbps and stream it to myself where ever I am. I would like to go for something Intel based and low powered, I am not completely against re purposing old servers I just don't know what to look for. I want this server to be able to store around 4TB but making it expandable would be good. I would like the server to encode the video so I can watch it on my iPhone or what ever tablet I am using. Micro ATX would be good I want it as small quiet and low powered as possible as it will be on 24/7 Can some one please help me with some ideas of what too look for or a good server build. I don't want to spend a fortune. Any budgets welcome I want it to be as cheap and as good as it can be. Thanks hope some one has some ideas I am normally pretty good with gaming builds and desktops but when it comes to servers I have idea what to look for.

So I installed a graphics card that is 82 degrees Celcius and I noticed my back case fans were not working. I have them installed in "SYS_FAN 1". I set the BIOS setting for header "SYS_FAN 1" on Full Speed but still not working. This was a OEM build from a store similar to NCIX PC, memory express. I have the motherboard GIGABYTE GA-B85-D3H. EDIT: I think its the fan or the header being broken and not outputting power.

I am RMAing my motherboard. It was an 'Asus Z97 Pro Wifi'. It was an ATX motherboard and had an auto-overclocking feature via something called 5-way-optimisation. My PC built, including the previous mobo are at: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Alir/saved/gMm2FT I need to buy a new motherboard now. Any advice on which one I should buy? My requirements are: It should ideally be compatible with all my other components. Auto-Overclocking software - through the BIOS I assume Features in the BIOS to control fan speeds Nothing else particularly special from the BIOS, I expect the motherboard to have the typical audio 3.5mm jacks for things like "line in" and "line out"; don't know what they're called. I have an ATX case but I am thinking of buying a Micro-ATX motherboard if I need to move my PC to a smaller place in future. if that happens, I can just buy a micro ATX case and move everything over. Is this wise? Is there anything ATX motherboards would have that micro ATX won't have? If you don't know specifically which mobo you could recommend: For starters, Which brand do you prefer?

So after back and forth with the wife and my wallet, I've decided to go back to my small form factor PC idea. I have a 980Ti Hydro GFX already preordered. Essentially, it's a 980Ti by MSI with a Corsair H55 AIO liquid cooler on the GPU, which means that this build already has to find a place for a 120x1 radiator. I'm really liking the Corsair Air 240 for this MicroATX build. The dual chamber design has me sold. There will be only one GPU but I will be using the second PCIE slot for an Intel 750 NVMe SSD. I'm planning on running with a K-series Skylake processor. So we're talking about 91 watts of TDP. I want a cooler for it that will be able to keep it acceptably cool on a modest overclock, with preferably low noise, and hopefully could also be an AIO liquid cooler to just look cool along side the Hydro GFX. In fact, the biggest thing is for the cooler to really look good with the other 120 rad in the case. I am totally fine with buying aftermarket fans for lower noise. So what CPU cooler would you recommend for this build?

Not really sure if this should be here or in the Cases forum, so please let me know. I was just sort of fooling around with concepts for an OP compact build and I considered putting the Gigabyte AIO W-6GD 980 Ti inside the Corsair Carbide Air 240 with a MicroATX board. I'm guessing even if the rad and fan could squeeze beneath it it would be blocking some crucial headers, so could the pipes theoretically reach to the top of the case?

Hi! I'm putting together the parts I've mentioned. Ram clearance is a non-issue because I bought low profile Kingston Hyper X. However, CPU cooler and GPU may be an issue. I plan to install the CPU cooler vertically with the fan facing downwards, sucking air from the GPU. Installing it horizontally will block off the only PCIe 16x slot of the board. I understand that the CPU cooler fins won't be hampered by the hot air blowing off the GPU. My GPU, a Palit GTX 980 Ti Super Jetstream, occupies a hefty 2.5 slot. How tight will the fit be between the GPU and the CPU cooler vertically positioned with the fan pointed towards the GPU?

Hello. I am going to do a few system builds to sell. I will be doing small form factors such as MicroITX and MicroATX. However, I am quite unfamiliar with micro ITX power supplies, since there are so few brands that I recongize and aren't very "shady". I am looking for 150-300w power supplies. I would like some recommended products or brands that I put my trust into, or at least maybe some tips or your experience with small form factor PSUs. Any advice would be great. Thanks!
