Hi, I recently built a rig in one of these (well, the red variant) and it was close to a nightmare. The 970 nearly didn't fit because of the clearance with the optical bay, which was a bit scary. Other than that, it was alright. The mobo is horizontal instead of vertical, giving it a weird feel. Is there a case similar in looks and price to that, preferably with a vertical mobo? Keep budget in mind here. Green would also be preferred but is not needed. Thanks, -Chris

Hello, and thanks for reading this already! I'm looking into some good Micro-ATX cases. I prefer Micro-ATX as a motherboard size because it still has 4 RAM slots, 2 PCI-E x16's, but is still portable. Now, I want to make a Micro-ATX case extra portable. I'm looking into the AIR 240, Fractal Design Node 804 and the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv. Is there a relative safe way to add a carrying handle too them? And what materials should I use? Yes, I am insane. Thanks in advance!

I'll cut right to the chase (insert chassis joke here); I currently have two computers, lots of extra parts, and need a portable desktop (preferrably micro-atx or mini-itx) for work/play uses. AMD Rig - - AMD FX 6300 - Radeon 6750 Graphics - Radeon 5450 Graphics - ASUS M5A97 Motherboard - 12GB DDR3 1600 (Corsiar/Crucial) RAM - 3TB Seagate Primary HDD - 2TB Toshiba Canvio External HDD (Backup) - CFI Full-ATX Chassis [Link] - Windows 7 Pro Intel/Office Rig - - Intel Core 2 Duo - Integrated Graphics - 2gb DDR3 RAM (Maybe?) - <100gb HDD - Ubuntu (Latest Version) Extra Hardware - - 3TB Seagate HDD - AMD FX 4350 - Antec 650W Standard (80+ Gold) PSU - 2GB DDR3 1333mHz (Patriot) - 2GB DDR3 1333mHz (Unifosa) - Lite-On DVD Reader/Writer I need a small-form pc that I can use for network troubleshooting / pc servicing and would like to use as much of my current gear as possible. All compatibility issues considered, all parts can be moved to and from any rig to make this the most efficient setup. The first rig needs to be stationary and purposed for background processes (teamviewer, ticketing programs, tweetdeck, skype, etc.) and TONS of web tabs (20 - 40 on average, video and non-video). The second rig also needs to be stationary and purposed as a network monitor / web tab machine. I expect this to be the current Intel/Office Rig. The third rig is the micro-atx/mini-itx build. This will be the alternative to the first rig. One will be used for gaming and the other for video processing. Graphics is important, but not crucial as the 6750 has been plenty good-enough for me. If a new graphics card is required, then I would like the gaming rig to have the best graphics.

Hello guys, Well I'm planning to upgrade my systems. My pc are mainly used for graphic design, and some casual gaming : FIFA 15, strategy game: Civilization, Total War, or perhaps some action game : Watch Dogs, Tomb Raider, GTA5 (hoping to play this one). Well the current built are listed below. So I'm looking to enhance the performance of my system without have to spending too much. Build Processor Intel Core i5-3330 : (1150) 3.00 - 3.20 Ghz, 4 Cores, 6MB Shared L3 Cache Graphics Sapphire HD7770 Ghz Edition OC 1GB DDR5 Vapor-X Mainboard Gigabyte GA-H77M-D3H Memory Kingston HyperX 4Gb x 2 1st Storage Western Digital Green 1TB PSU (Power) Antec HCG 620Watt CPU Cooler none 2nd Storage Drive Western Digital Green 1TB Optical Samsung DVD-RW 24x Case Corsair Carbide Series 300R Windowed Budget : Perhaps under 500$. And I'm based in Malaysia. And I'm targeting the processor, graphics card, memory & motherboard. Aim : Smooth operation in designing larger file size, and able to play upcoming game in decent performance. On a side note, I would like to jump into micro-atx

Hey guys! I am deciding on a new case, and I have a budget of $70. I need a pretty portable micro ATX chassis, and it has to have great features for the price, all of which have. What case should I go for? I like the clean look of the N200, but I like the price of the Spirit M, but I also love the aggressive look of the Vanguard. If I order the Vanguard I have no more money for anything else, but if I order the N200, I can get a better shipping option and get it here sooner, as with the Spirit M. What should I go for? Thanks in advance. Components going in: FX 6300 AsRock 970M Pro3 16GB DDR3-1600 ASUS GTX 760 DCUII-OC EVGA 400W SanDisk 120GB SSD 2.5" Seagate HDD 3.5" Hitachi HDD

Hello guys, this is my first post and I actually made this account as Linus and Luke did some videos about the Sugo SG13, but not about the Sugo SG11. So my question is: Which case should I get for a fairly small form factor PC ( no bigger than 20 cm high and 20 cm wide, depht is unimportant)? I plan to build this pc in november after all the black fridays deals. I plan to put the pc on my desk with a 1080p around 24" monitor. As of right now I'm not using my pc for anything other than web browsing because my current laptop is so bad, that that's about all it can handle, but when I build my pc I plan to get into photo/video editing and also programming, so my rig should be fairly powerful. The more powerful a pc is the hotter it gets, that's why most go with mid tower cases as it's easier to build and cheaper to cool(not sure about that), but I want a pc that I can move quite a bit so a mid tower case won't cut it for me. Another part of the problem is to go with a matx case or an itx case. I don't know if I would benefit from dual GPU as I would only buy one and the other one would be bought after a few months so matx doesn't make that much sense. There is also the part that I'm not quite sure which CPU I will get. I think I will go with the i7 4790k, but the i7 5820k is only a bit more expensive and gives you 2 more cores and more PC-E lanes, but if I don't use dual GPU then what benefit would I get by getting more lanes? There is also the issue of the cost. While the i7 5820k doesn't cost much more than the 4790k the x99 motherboards are expensive and the DDR4 RAM is also more expensive than DDR3... The cases that I have seen that would more or less meet my requirements would be the Sugo SG09, SG11 and SG13, the Thermaltake Core V1, the node 304 and 804, Bitfenix MATX Colossus, and the Cooler Master Elite 110 and 130. The Colossus would be perfect for me if it was that big in height, the same for the Sugo SG09 and SG10. The Core V1 seems like a good choice, but somehow it doesn't appeal to me much and it a bit too high for my tastes for a pc to put on my desk, but it has a 200mm fan and can support 140mm high CPU coolers, so I don't know. The SG13 looks like a nice little case, but I think it would get too hot in there, same for the Elite 110, that also has that weird and ugly external PSU mount. The Elite 130 also has the ugly mount and from what I remember it only adds more space for a bigger GPU when compared to the Elite 110. The Sugo SG11 has looked like the right choice for me a few times as it can fit a matx motherboard, fit to GPUs up to 9 SSDs, 3 HDDs and an optical drive (which would be nice to have, that's another plus for the Colossus), but it doesn't have that much cooling capacities from what I've seen. That's why it would be awesome for someone to do a review and "balls to the wall" build like Linus' SG13 titan x build, but with the SG11 as the only review right now is in italian -.- Fractal cases look nice and the have a lot of space for HDDs which is nice, but they are too big for what they offer. Yes, they have more cooling than the other cases but that's it. And the Node 804 has a slim optical drive. If you what a blueray drive you would have to sell a kidney to buy it... So yeah, I'm a bit crazy and have been bothering myself with this this april. Btw I don't have a GPU set as I'll for AMD to release(hopefully) the new 300 series to see how good they are and if the prices of the other cards drop. Thanks for reading my rant and if you have questions about things I probably forgot to mention here, just ask PD:I forgot to mention that I would prefer to air cool it all as it's cheaper, but if I got no other choice then I would water cool it(just CPU as water cooling the GPU seems to expensive for me)

In the works of putting together a build for a workstation/some gaming computer. Mostly going to be using software like Cinema 4D and Photoshop, but I was wondering if you guys could take a look and maybe tweak some things (Mostly PSU and Case because I had a hard time finding ones that I liked). http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rw6VP6

Is the AsRock 970M PRO3 mATX motherboard capable of overclocking the FX 6300 chip? If so, what kind of overclock can I get out of it, using the stock cooler temporarily and then moving to an aftermarket cooler?

Hello! In 2013, after many hours of soul-searching and internal debate, I skipped out on replacing my RROD'd Xbox360 and built my first PC instead. I haven't regretted the choice for a minute, but I must admit, if I could do it over, I would kick my past-self in the teeth for building a heavy mid-tower that I'd have to lug up and down dorm-hall stairs whenever I had to move. Now that I've graduated and have some stable income, I'd like to correct this annoyance and retool my PC from ATX to micro ATX, possible mini ITX. Context My current PC: Case: Corsair 500R CPU: Intel Core i5 4670 CPU Cooling: EVO 212 (2 fans) Motherboard: ASUS Z87-A (LGA 1150) RAM: 16GB Dual-channel Crucial Ballistix Sport (2x8GB) GPU: EVGA GTA 760 Storage: 1TB WD Blue PSU: Corsair RM650 Display(s): 2x Asus 22" Proposed changes to create "Scootypuff Mk.1": Motherboard: Asus Z97M-PLUS (micro ATX) OR Asus Z97I-PLUS (current color scheme is black/white/gold, but the case doesn't have a window - eagerly seeking suggestions!) Case: BitFenix Prodigy M (no window) ( via PC Part Picker ) My Rationale I currently love to do a bit of gaming (no overclocking - see CPU), movie-watching, and general gaming computer use. No video rendering or supercomputing to any degree. I want a smaller machine that's easier to move around and not oppressively large (Corsair 500R is beautiful but proto-humans keep dancing around it and I wish they'd leave me alone). As far as I can tell from asking Google, micro ATX > mini ITX because of increased "features" (what those are exactly, I'm not sure), general board quality/stability/longevity (?), and the possibility of adding more expansion cards in the future. I am not likely to buy another GTX 760 - if I do upgrade my GPU, it will likely be a switch to the GTX 970 and I will likely only use one card. As you can tell, a full ATX board is wildly too large for my purposes and I could never hope to use all of the PCI slots. Another need for me would be quality on-board wifi. I know that both boards have onboard wifi, rendering my TP-LINK card obsolete, but I would prefer the best wireless possible. I would like to put all this into a BitFenix Prodigy M because I think it that case is super nifty indeed. On Amazon, the Micro ATX option is in my cart for $241.41 (Prime). The mini ITX option would be $268.42. Shipping has not been factored in because Prime. My Questions: Are my changes compatible with my pre-existing parts? Are there any possible explosion-related risks with using my current PSU and this new mobo? Will my parts fit into this case? How much of a hit could I expect in terms of temperatures under load and idle? Given my intentions for this computer, which option makes more sense - mATX or mITX? What are your suggestions? Additional questions/information required? I'm very new to all this, despite many videos watched. I'm here to learn! Thank you for taking the time to help me!

This is an odd question but a valid one i hope. I want to build a 'KAVERI' starter build, but i'm stuck between these 3 boards:- MSI MINI ITX:- (as used in ) http://www.scan.co.uk/products/msi-a88xi-ac-amd-a88x-s-fm2plus-ddr3-sata-iii-6gb-s-raid-pcie-30-(x16)-d-sub-dvi-hdmi-mini-itx MSI mATX:- http://www.scan.co.uk/products/msi-a88xm-gaming-amd-a88x-fm2plus-ddr3-sata-iii-6gb-s-sata-raid-pcie-30-(x16)-vga-dvi-dp-hdmi Gigabyte mATX:- http://www.scan.co.uk/products/gigabyte-ga-f2a88xm-hd3-amd-a88x-s-fm2plus-ddr3-pcie-30-(x16)-2-way-crossfirex-d-sub-(vga)-dvi-d-hdm I know mini itx cases are expensive, however any advice on how to choose? I'm not running crossfire or sli, this is not a build for that at all

Hey so I set out to make a budget build but it had to have these parts in it: Intel Quad Core CPU ( Need to be able to play ARMA 3 and I have heard AMD is horrible with ARMA) Able to house a 1080P Capable Graphic Card (Dual Slot Graphics Card) Micro ATX or Mini ITX form factor (Needed it to be small for transportation purposes) This is the absolute cheapest I could come up (in AUD$ that is) with: PCPartPicker part list: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/vK4ND3 Price breakdown by merchant: http://au.pcpartpick...D3/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($237.00 @ Centre Com) Motherboard: MSI B85M-P33 V2 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($69.00 @ Centre Com) Memory: Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($88.00 @ CPL Online) Storage: Toshiba 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($96.00 @ IJK) Power Supply: Silverstone 400W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($65.00 @ Scorptec) Wireless Network Adapter: TP-Link TL-WN725N 802.11b/g/n USB 2.0 Wi-Fi Adapter ($9.00 @ CPL Online) Case Fan: Thermaltake CL-F011-PL12BL-A 41.0 CFM 120mm Fan ($8.00 @ CPL Online) Case Fan: Thermaltake CL-F011-PL12BL-A 41.0 CFM 120mm Fan ($8.00 @ CPL Online) Case Fan: Thermaltake CL-F011-PL12BL-A 41.0 CFM 120mm Fan ($8.00 @ CPL Online) Other: Sapphire R7 260X (Purchased For $110.00) Other: Windows 8.1 PRO (Purchased For $30.00) Other: Samsung Evo 120GB (Purchased For $100.00) Other: Toshiba Bluetooth USB 2.0 ($30.00) Other: 10 Port USB 2.0 Hub ($20.00) Other: Additional Cables ($10.00) Other: Cougar Spike ($40.00) Total: $928.00 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-01-15 17:40 EST+1100 Are there any ways I could make this build cheaper or have I basically got the lowest price for this? I was thinking about making a new LAN party PC is there any recommendations for a mini/micro Atx motherboard cases. (Looking at the corsair 380T at the moment)

So my little brother asked me what it would cost to make a decent gaming desktop for him, but he doesnt have that much money, maybe like 800£. He wants it pretty compact so he can take it over to his friends, so no larger then something like a Corsair Graphite 380T or BitFenix Prodigy. I was thinking something along the lines of a AMD 8350 and a r9 280X. I've had a hard time finding things like that, that can fit in a itx case. Can someone help me? (English is not my native language, so im sorry if some of it doesnt really make sence!)

Hey guys! Okay, this time I'm recruiting help for a great case preferably sub 75 USD (willing to go up to 125 USD). The cheaper the better really. I was looking at the Fractal Core 1000 earlier, just to give you an idea of how low I am willing to go. If there is a case that fits my needs for 2 USD then that's awesome! Obviously, the $2 case is not happening, but let's talk about what I want: I need a case that can support both Micro ATX and Mini ITX motherboards. Currently, I'm running on a m-itx system, but would like to be able to upgrade soon. I want to liquid cool my system. First, starting with the CPU and then the GPU. I would like to see mounting options for radiators on the top or front or both, for maximum cooling while overclocking. More than preferably, this is borderline make or break, I would like to have the PSU bottom mounted. I feel airflow works better for the PSU if it is bottom mounted and also makes cable management much cleaner. And the last thing that I want, and this is not necessary, is a window to see my components. I have carefully pieced together a matching red and black scheme to go with my MSI Gaming mobo and GPU, so hiding this from view is kind of a bummer. I think it goes without saying that cable management is a must for any case with a window, so better cable management means better value to me. Thanks for all your help in advance and don't be afraid to suggest a full sized ATX tower if it supports my board.

Recently I got my hands on an Alienware x51. The case is junk to me, same with the motherboard. Not to bash on Dell but, those custom motherboards really suck. Anyways, I still have an i5 2500k 3.7 GHz turbo Sandy Bridge processor. My plan was to build a very nice mini gaming tower, using the Prodigy M case. After looking around, with the socket of the processor at 1155, this limits my options on good motherboards. I wanted the Asus Maximus V Gene (ROG) but they don't make them anymore, any ideas on good Motherboards in the price range of $100-230? Thanks

after watching a lot of reviews i think i fall in love with micro ATX since i'm not gonna make a PC with 4 GPUs (i'm not that rich) but maybe 2 GPUs will be cool and still visible for me and also can be handled by micro ATX motherboard. for example, ROG maximus hero and gene. will i get the same performance from those motherboards except the capability of running 3 GPUs? or maybe if i only use 1 GPU, does the ROG maximus hero gives me a lot better performance rather than ROG impact (mini ITX)? do their sizes really matter? thx guys

So I am looking to buy the FX 8320 and i find a micro atx board to use it on, then I realize I would also like to crossfire in the future, are there any AM3+ Micro ATX crossfire compatible motherboards, if not are there any FM2 CPUs or APUs that are almost as good as the FX 8320? I am looking to do some gaming at max in Battlefield 4 in ultra with a Gigabyte r9 280, and some minor video editing.I am also not willing to go to greater costs than that of the FX 8320. Thanks in advance, Nejat
