Hey there I have the following issue: When I boot up my PC and start playing a game or run a benchmark my results/FPS are lower than the average for the hardware. When I restart the PC and try the same things everything runs as expected. If I put the PC to sleep and then wake it up and try again my performance is worse just like in the first scenario. Some concrete numbers: 3D Mark TimeSpy for GPU score specifically runs at about 24-25k when performance is lower and at 28k when everything works fine (after a restart) Red Dead Redemption 2 - in the bad scenarios I get about 100-110 FPS average, in the good scenario I get about 160-170 FPS Specs: Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB 6000Mhz RAM, RTX 4080 SUPER The issue is GPU only, my CPU score when running TimeSpy stays the same in all 3 scenarios while the GPU runs well only after a restart. I've tried both DDU and fresh windows install, fast boot is off in both windows and bios. I've attached two images of a bad scenario after an initial bootup and a good scenario after I restart the PC.

My specs: -GPU: MSI RTX 4080 Suprim -CPU: i7 13700k -CPU Cooler: Corsair iCue Link H100i (240mm) -Motherboard: Asus Z790-P Prime WIFI -Memory: 16GBx2 (32GB) G Skill 6000mhz DDR5 -Storage: 2TB Crucial M.2, 500GB SATA SSD, 2TB HDD -PSU: MSI 850W Gold -Corsair Commander Fan Controller, RGB hub, Corsair iCue Link Hub -Bios version is current (I think?) I built this new PC about 10 days ago. It booted right up and benchmarked exactly as it should without overclocking. I've been played Starfield every day since with no issues. I noticed a bubbling noise from my AIO radiator. So after some research, I decided to move my radiator up as far as it would go (even though it was already higher than the pump.) While I had it apart, I also did some cable management. I unplugged the USB connectors for my fan controllers, my front panel audio connector, and my 24-pin connector for my GPU. Once I got it back together, GeForce Experience told me I had a driver update for my GPU. So I installed the driver and ran Starfield. The AIO noise was gone, but my FPS was around 70-80 and it looked very choppy (I was getting 150-200 FPS before on the same settings.) CPU temps were 60-70°C under load, and GPU was 40-50°C. The first thing I did was shut it down and check all of my connections. Everything looked fine. So I used DDU to roll back my Nvidia driver to the previous version. No luck. I triple-checked all of my connectors and then proceeded to take the PC apart entirely and put it back together. No change. I ran Time Spy on 3DMark and I actually scored slightly higher than my first benchmark right after I built it. The only noticeable change was my CPU and GPU temps were both averaging about 5-7° hotter, but the temps were still absolutely fine. And Starfield still looks horrible. I also tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I don't really have any other games to test because I don't have a reference for them from before I started having issues. I have some sensor logs from HWinfo, but I honestly don't know how to decipher most of it. It all looks fine to me. XMP is enabled, and my Display Port cable is plugged into my GPU. I'm at a loss. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don’t have any more any ideas what could be wrong with my system. When I am playing some games (for example Warzone, Fortnite) my GPU utilisation is super low (5-37%). In warzone highest CPU utilisation was 79%. In lighter games like fortnite it’s only 30-40%. Problem is high framedrops and overall really low fps in games. My system has RTX 2060, R5 3600, Kingston HyperX 16GB DDR4 3200mhz, 550w PSU, and all games running on fast m.2 SSD. I have tried updating all drivers, closing softwares, reinstalling games. Nothing works. In Afterburner it says that GPU voltage limit is 1 when I have poor performance. Saw nothing else irregular. Temps are also all under 60C. Thanks!

So yeah, as the title says I have an underperforming PC, RTX3060Ti i5-12400F 16GB RAM, the cooling is not the problem, The CPU and GPU works as it should work (tested them with HWmonitor etc.), for some reason if I turn off the CFG (Control Flow Guard) Exploit protection than I dont have stuttering but I have still low fps, I have a 1440P monitor it does not matter what resolution do I set in CS:GO it has the same results and same with other games too not only CS:GO, I have a 500W Platinum power supply wich is enough for that spec, I even have high input lag wich is killin me in CS pls help I tried literally everything I just hope somebody will say something that I did not tried yet (I reinstalled windows too)

Hi guys, I really need your help regarding throttling issues in my laptop. I'm using an ASUS TUF FX504GE (i5-8300H, 1050Ti) and on the latest bios update. There has been severe power limit throttling on my laptop, and my CPU speed throttles down to a range of 2.4ghz to 2.7ghz when I run even a slightly intensive program or game. Even the temperature for any programs locks to 88 degree celsius in the first few minutes even from a cold boot. I have been told that the main culprit is the low TDP cap enabled in the ASUS bios, along with the temperature issues. I am at a complete loss as to how to prevent CPU throttling. I have tried cooling pads, thermal paste change, undervolting (the latest bios update disabled this in Throttlestop), and all other usual tips. Can someone please tell me how to fix this issue for good? I expected the CPU to run at least at 3.6ghz, as other laptops using the exact same config as mine have no trouble running the same applications with these speeds even at high temps. I feel that a bios downgrade or unlock is the only solution for this, but since I don't know much about all this stuff, I will be grateful for any guidance on fixing this problem. I have also attached readouts from Throttlestop in case it is helpful in explaining my issue further. Please let me know if any other info or my bios dump is needed.

Hello All, I am wondering what I am doing wrong to get low cinebench23 scores, bad luck with the CPU hardware lottery, or some mistakes I did in assembly? I have chosen the best hardware for performance I think and my scores are not coming close to even the lowest scores at default for others. 21755 default bios optimized settings RAM 2120Mhz, 69C CPU, 3.67GHz CPU after the test finished. temps quickly dropped 21688 default bios optimized settings + XMP RAM XMP 3600Mhz, 70C CPU, 3.65GHz CPU 22910 with PBO advanced, motherboard limit,+XMP RAM XMP 3600Mhz, 90C CPU, 3.95Ghz CPU screenshot of Hwinfo temps and freq with score screenshot of Hwinfo quick temp drop after test finished 22836 with PBO on default RAM 3900Mhz, 86C CPU, 3.89Ghz CPU The ambient temperature is 30c but I don't think any thermal throttling is happening, PBO overclock is hitting 90c with the arctic liquid freezer 2-420mm AIO but performance hasnt increased a lot, I think the temperatures should have been lower than this or should not be hitting the high temps so quickly. (the AIO is mounted in offset mode) I will be requesting Arctic for correct size screws and the new rev4 mounting brackets but still the default setting CPU performance score should have been better. I could also look at removing and re-attaching the cooler on the CPU and change to arctic MX5 or Thermal Grizzly options Requesting guidance on why even my default CPU performance is so low and what I can try to get a comparable normal score like others. should my graphics card choice be making a difference in cinebench score as it is quite weak and not really a gaming card? Hey Guys, i recently bought an RTX 3080 to gain more FPS for my future 1440p Monitor. In the time till i get the Monitor i play Games on 1080p . So the Problem is i only get maybe 60% to half the FPS like other People with the same Graphics card. Warzone example: I get 90-120fps on low and even less on high but People get 240 and sometimes even +300fps. I know my CPU bottlenecks it a little but still why soooo heavy of a drop ? I did some Benchmarks and the Card performs like it should but why do i get such heavy loss in games ? I already reset my PC and tried DDU. What did i do wrong ? Before i had an 2080ti and i got more then now. Here are my Specs: https://postimg.cc/gallery/wJk36Pt Edit:GPU usage in Warzone is 40% to max 60%. Cpu is 80%

Hey guys I bought a EVGA FTW3 RTX 3080 and the performance of the card is lower than my 1080ti we tried everything with a friend that has the same card and he gets 80-100 more fps in the same game with the same settings. CPU: i9 9900k GPU: RTX 3080 EVGA FTW3 RAM: 32GB 4000mhz PSU: 850W 80+ Gold

I have a i5-4590, gtx 1650 and 8gb of ram. Warzone used to have at least 120 fps and vanguard 200. Now I only get 60 on Warzone and 130 on Vanguard. I got Malwarebytes, avast, and AVG and it they all say no threats at all. Anyways, recently games have like I said been perfoming extremely bad. Is it just the game getitng more intensive, me having more stuff installed, or maybe there is a cyrptomining malware there? Anyways, how would I fix the performance? Can I reset windows? Is it just the game?

My pny 1080ti performs horrible (PNY GTX 1080 Ti Blower Gaming OC). Somewhere i have a folder of results from other benchmarks when i started looking into this, but since i have no idea where that folder is i can run other benchmarks if needed (windows 10 and ubuntu currently installed). Mining daggerhashimoto it gets ~8.5 mh (my 2 evga ftw3 1080ti each get ~32mh). About a year ago i pulled this card out of my server to troubleshoot but behavior is same on other computers are it was in server (got it for video transcoding mainly...but that is part of a whole different story). Attached are 2 superposition runs (performance went down after geforce driver update). For sanity check i took one of the evga cards and put it on this pc and score was ~16,000 (forgot to screenshot it). Next logical step would be to update the bios/firmware, but i haven't had good luck finding verified versions for this card. According to nvidias tool, it is on the latest version so reinstalling that version should be the step to take but that is not an option their tool gave me. I know i should have sold the card back when everything was crazy high...it was on my todo list but just never happened. Considering how much dead for parts cards were going for, one that works but not as well as it should would have been a decent payday (and gone into buying more exos drives). I dont think it is a thermal issue, but i can go back and run a long furmark again if someone wants to know what it maxes out at. That being said, i have not replaced the thermal paste, but since it hasn't seemed to be overheating that didnt seems like a useful step.

So i upgraded my 1060 3gb and bought a gigabyte rtx 2070 super last week, at first it performed very well on all the games i tried (like Apex legends, pubg, overwatch, witcher, etc..), after a week of use it started to get lower performance. On the game its performing specially really bad is on PUBG, first week playing pubg i had graphic settings on ultra at 1080p and had +140 fps average on any map, now im gettiong 50-70 fps most of the times, doesnt even get to 90. What the hell?? Ive noticed a little worse performance on other games, but not very noticable as they hit +100 fps. Now, i know that my CPU listed below (ryzen 5 1600) might be causing a bottleneck, but the thing is, wouldnt it be bottlenecked from the beginning? Because the first days i had a lot more performance and suddenly after a week it dropped a lot around 30-40fps on all games, but a lot more fps drop on PUBG. Even when i had the 1060 3gb, it performed a lot better in pubg than my current rtx 2070S, it is really unplayable. Hello everyone! I am experiencing a strange behaviour from what I can tell caused by my GPU. While my FPS is fine, it stutters for 0.2 seconds every second and while it is stuttering my GPU makes a buzzing or a whining noise when I try to play certain games (Apex legends, Division 2). It used to work fine before but there is a weird story behind it so I am going to tell it just in case it is relevant. The story: So I built a pc around 3 years ago. But I didn't buy a new PSU as I had an old but good one so stuck it in. After a year of heavy use, I think the PSU gave its last breath, frying some other parts as it passed away. At that time I was very busy with my education and I didn't have a lot of money so I left it be for a year. When I came back I salvaged and tested which parts were dead and it turns out only the motherboard was fried. I had the official customer service repair it, bought a new psu (very basic 750W fsp hydro) and rebuilt the same system. Everything worked fine for a month or two when suddenly the PC hung so I had to force shut it down and it wouldn't even get power again. I went to the service again and they said that my CPU was dead now. I said well I need a new pc so I spared some money and built my current rig a month after. Old rig: intel i5 7400, MSI z170i pro gaming ac, G.skill ripjaws 8gb 2400 mhz single stick, MSI rx480 8gb gamingx, generic hdd. New rig: ryzen 5 1600, ASRock b450m pro4, same ram, same gpu, intel 660p 512gb nvme ssd. The said problem didn't occur at any point of the lifespan of the "old rig". It started with the "new rig". I have been trying to solve it with various methods I could think of (clean installing AMD drivers, downgrading drivers etc.). I even considered the new ssd as the problem as it is a tlc one and may be causing stutter because of paging so I disabled it and it didn't help. The only interesting thing I could discover is when I set the power limit to -20% or even less through MSI afterburner the stuttering and the whining lessens significantly, as do my fps... I did a benchmark from userbenchmarks and the results are attached below. The stutter and whining was present when the GPU benchmark was running. It unsurprisingly says my gpu is performing way below expectations... Another funny point is I don't have any system stutter, mouse stutter, audio cracking or any other type of system wide problem, only the application with heavy graphics load has this issue. I play Rainbow six: Siege with nearly max settings with %75 T-AA resolution with no stutter and high fps but when I turn the T-AA resolution to %100 I start to get stutters. These are all the clues and findings I could gather and think are relevant. Sorry for the relatively long text, I tried to give as much info to you PC experts as I can for you to identify the problem and help me. I am completely lost and frustrated at this point... Thank you all in advance for taking your time and helping me. I wish you all a good day!

I have a watercooled loop with my graphics card (2080 ti EVGA XC), that I bought last year august, and cpu (i7-9700k). I was noticing lower frames than usual so I benchmarked using 3D Mark firestrike ultra and normal (ultraresult.3dmark & normresult.3dmark). My benchmarks were a bit lower than I expected, and this was not the first time this has happened. I did another benchmark around two weeks and got a super low score (3658, file name lowresult.3dmark). After I saw that benchmark, I reapplied my gpu thermal paste and got a better result (8319, file name closed.3dmark). Its only been 2 weeks and my performance is already going back down. I reset all my drivers and all benchmarks (except for normresult) are without any overclocks. My watercooling loop is clean and i've used IC Diamond thermal paste for my gpu. I have the EKWB Lignum waterblocks. Replacing the thermal paste in my gpu every two weeks is ridiculous, there has to be a larger issue. Do you guys have any suggestions? Current build is AMD ryzen 1600x Asus prime x370 GTX 1660TI 16gb 2x8 2666mhz I have tried to trouble shoot windows by using sfc/ scannow, and also used chkdsk, then decided to give my pc a clean to make sure wasnt a temperature issue Following that I found no issues that I could find however, In games such as BF1/BFV/CSGO/PUBG for instance Ive noticed especially in CSGO a very drastic drop in performance from around 180-200fps on 1080p to almost half this with high spikes and low lows Please any advice would be great thanks
