I decided to return back to CS:GO after 5 years of not playing, especially now that I have a great build that can handle CS very good - at least on paper. As you can see, I'm getting nowhere near as much fps as I should, same goes if I reduce the resolution to FHD. I've disabled freesync, vsync (both on AMD control panel and ingame), I've set fps_max to 0, updated my gpu drivers to the latest version and I'm using the high performance power plan. I've pretty much done anything I could think of and have found on the internet. I'd highly appreciate your help on this, thank you for your time! Whenever I launch Rainbow Six Siege Vulkan from Steam, the cpu usage of the steam client bootstrapper skyrockets from 1% usage to around 15-20% which does not happen with any other game on steam. I tried many fixes including uninstalling my games and steam but none have worked so far. After I close down R6, steam's cpu usage still stays around 15-20%. I am currently running on windows 10 pro with dual e5-2667v2 cpus which are more than enough for gaming with a 5700 xt. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Since I've got my new Asus Strix OC RTX 2070 I was getting less fps/performance than other people on youtube, benchmarking sites and I even compared it to my friends rig that has same amount of RAM, an ASUS Dual RTX 2070, and a slightly different processor that should be weaker that mine(i7-8700k-Mine, 9400F-his). My friend and I ran a demo of 3DBenchmark(Time Spy) and compared our results. His GPU score is better by 2000 points, and that isn't a small difference. I've tried reinstalling my OS multiple times, reinstalling drivers, reinstalling the GPU, and I even changed my MOBO for unrelated reasons. I wasn't so worried about my FPS so much back then but now I'm lacking 30-40 FPS in some games and it's really frustrating. If additional information is needed, I'll provide, thanks in advance.

Hello all, i recently got a prebuilt gaming rig from Digital Storm I financed it because i couldnt afford to buy it outright. specs are: ASUS TUF X470-Plus Gaming AMD Ryzen 7 3700X (8-Core) Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb GPU(had this from my last gaming PC that was really old and was badly CPU bottlenecked) 600W Digital Storm Performance Series Power Supply ( really wish i knew what brand it was dont even know if its bronze rated lol) 2 500 Gb SSD one samsung evo and the other came with it digital storm premium w/e that is 1 2Tb HDD 32gb of Corsair DDR4 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro Digital Storm Vortex Liquid CPU Cooler (Seems pretty similar to the corsair one has a pretty decent size Rad) All Came pre-built in a Digital Storm branded Corsair Crystral series 570X Also went out and bought an Acer Predator XB272 244hz gaming montior So my problem is I figured id be able to run most games on atleast decetly high settings and still beable to get 144hz where as on most games i have to run anywhere from low to medium to get anywhere near that. I play mostly FPS games i.e.: Apex Legends, Escape From Tarkov, CoD MW multi-player and BR, Battlefield V, Rust Games like that. I was having problems getting over 100 FPS then I did some research and found out my GPU runs hot on the stock fan curves so i got one of The Gigabyte programs and used max fan curve settings while gaming now i get around 80- 110 in tarkov and 150- 180ish on apex legends most settings are set to high on apex but cant use any of the lighting or dynamic range settings if i want to get a decent refresh rate. Basicly what I'm asking is this, is there any settings i can change or mabe Over clock my GPU and CPU to get a decent performance boost currently i use Gigabyte Aorus engine to give my GPU a slight boost but I've never done much overclocking and dont want to fry my system lol. another route would be me upgrading my CPU to a 3900x or something along those lines but I really dont think my CPU is the problem. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks, Anthonyt

Hey everyone! I recently built my new PC with a RTX 2080 Super and for some reason I'm getting very low GPU usage like 10%-30% in games like GTA V, Hitman 1 & 2, Red Dead Redemption, Modern Warfare, and many more. I've spent hours trying to figure it out but haven't found a solution. I have tried Setting the 'Power management mode' in NVIDIA control panel to 'Prefer Maximum Performance', enabling the High Performance power plan in Windows, ensuring VSync is off in-game and in the NVIDIA control panel, reinstalling drivers, resetting windows as well. I've never tried to overclock my PC yet and need helping doing so. All the parts are listed below and any advice is very much appreciated. Thank you! I recently upgraded my graphics card from a GTX 560 Ti to a RX 580 4gb and I'm getting less FPS, around 30FPS less in Overwatch. I know that my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU but shouldn't there be at least some FPS increase with the same graphics settings? I'm currently playing with an AMD FX-4200 with 8GB of 1600MHz RAM. I would like to find a solution to this problem.

I have been having major problems frame skipping and high cpu usage. My build should be more then able to run any game to date, my fps counter (fraps) tells me most games at least run at 70+ fps some going 200+ even though they're clearly running at around 20 - 35 and that's after lowering all graphic settings, the temperatures seem to be fine never going over 45, i dont know what to do, ive also reset windows, ive added an extra case fan, to cool the cpu when running games or google chrome cpu usage sits at 75% - 90% even on low quality games with no background programs running. My build: . CPU: Intel i-7 8700 3.20GHz . Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z370 . RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32gb ddr4 . GPU: Inno 3D Geforce GTX 1080Ti 11gb . PSU: Thermaltake 850w . CPU Liquid cooling: Cooler Master dual fan Side notes: always takes a while to turn off. Some games and google chrome will make it crash, there is more then enough free disk space. Its kept dust free. Troubleshooting this problem would help so im over sending it to pc repair shops and it still cant run games please help.

Hello, I've recently come to recognize that my GTX 1080 Founder's has lost some of it's performance. In heaven benchmark 3 months ago it was getting around 120 fps with a link to the picture. http://imgur.com/a/rXcrN When I tried the exact same benchmark yesterday, with the same overclock (nothing in my system changed), I was getting only 109 FPS. Now this is the same story with the Metro LL benchmark, before I got 145, now I'm getting 120. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have no idea what is the problem. I already have try many things to work on it. I get 99% usage of GPU at 40C-45C during load. My CPU usage around 50%-60% at 60C. Or maybe this is because of GPU failure? I've had this problem ever since I started playing Overwatch. I run everything on the lowest possible settings or disabled. I've seen videos everywhere of people with my setup or an even lower end one get far more fps, even when they are running the game on Ultra! I've just dealt with it for the most part, but I would really like to get more use out of my 144hz monitor, and I've tried everything that I can think of, such as making sure my monitor is plugged into my GPU, and etc. I run Overwatch with absolutely nothing open in the background, but it doesn't seem to help. My GPU usage is usually 30-50, and my cpu is always in the 90s. I know this points to a CPU bottleneck, but should an i5 4460 really be bottlenecking at 50-80 fps at low settings? My fps usually hovers around the low 60s. Any help on this subject would be appreciated. Ive had bf1 for months now and for the majority of that time ove been able to enjoy the game at 75fps or more at max settings 1080p. About a week ago I got on to play and i couldn't break 40. Ive tried re installing the game, DX12, Turining off GPU memory restriction, changing max fps, everything... I can only break when i go down to low and I simply don't feel like even playing anymore. Does anyone know of a solution? PC - RX480 8gb, 16gb ddr4, i5 6600k 4ghz

Ok so the game I play most these days is WoW (Legion). I have a brand new GTX 1060 3GB from Palit with dual fans which I overclocked for the sake of max-ing it out. As I was testing the performance I noticed I'm not getting very good FPS (39) even without any component of my PC being used 100%. So there seems to be a bottleneck that I can't locate. I think the screenshot I'm posting says everything. My CPU loads sits at around 50% and my GPU load even lower than that. Then GPU's memory is only at 70% and as you can see, it definitely isn't a GPU power consumption or heat throttle problem. I'm running the latest Nvidia drivers and I'm not infected with any malware that I'm aware of. Also the vsync is off and it gets confirmed everytime I get to smaller space in the game (where there is no distance graphics involved) and the fps are through the roof. Lastly, I'm clarifying that the pic is taken as one due to dual monitors, so the values you are seeing are simultaneous at the game's maximum settings (FPS are shown at lower right corner via Nvidia Experience). Here are my PC specs:Motherboard: H110M PRO-VDCPU: Intel i3-6100 @ 3.7GhzRam: Single 8GB DDR4 stick @ 2133MhzPSU: NOD 550 WattsStorage: Radeon R3 SSD 240GB + WD Caviar 1TB @ 7200 rpmMonitors: Dual LG 24" LED Monitors 1080p @ 60HzOS: Windows 10 x64Final thoughts are that the only component I'm not monitoring through this test is my PSU, but I don't think this would be my PC's behavior, if the problem was the PSU. I imagine the system would just shut down if it didn't have enough power. So I really need your help with this one.

Since I upgraded my gtx 750ti to 1050ti I have stuttering in all my games (even low spec games). However, the stuttering basically goes away when I set dynamic super resolution (DSR) to x1.2 (native resolution) in Nvidia Control Panel. Can anyone explain what's going on? Does the gtx 1050ti run better at a higher resolution? I'm thinking of getting a 1080p monitor now... My specs: Athlon x4 860k GTX 1050 ti 8GB RAM 1680x1050 TV

Hi i recent buy a new RX 580 8gb Gigabyte G1 and im getting just 75-80 fps in max high 1080p gaming for League of Legends. I came from GTX 770 and i got about 250 or so. I dont know why this low performance. I have good temps no more than 60 ºC. Im getting better performance in my nvidia GT 750m laptop. What I tried: - DDU uninstalling with fresh install: 17.4.4 - DDU uninstalling with fresh install: 17.5.2 (Beta) - Max priority for League Client on task manager. - Disable background processes. - Medium-High settings (get 85 with drops). Solution: If someone finds this thread, I hope I can help: I disabled HPET (high precision timer) and VT-d in the mobo's BIOS, and that solved my problem with the Witcher 3 and DOOM. Those are intel technologies that supposedly work with Win10 to improve performance, but in certain applications (such as these games) they have a negative impact. (I'm not too sure about VT-d, however. So if you use integrated graphics, you might want to leave that enabled.) On my board they were under the "Chipset" tag. (Gigabyte z270 hd3p f5) Original question: Hi everyone, I'd like at least an explanation why the following is going on with my setup. In some games, like Doom, The Witcher 3, Fallout 4 and Dark Souls 3, which are quite heavy games as far as I know, nothing in my pc works at its maximum potential. GPU usage is hovering between 40-80%, cpu usage stays around 30-60%, RAM usage is below 6gb, and yet framerate hardly ever reaches even 60 (during easy-to-run scenes). I have an i7 7700k, 8gb hyperx savage, and r9 280x, 680w 80+ gold psu, on Win10 64bit, a single 1920*1080@60 monitor. So far I've found these tips around the web, but they didn't help. Temps are controlled: max 55 on GPU, max 70 on CPU, top 140mm case fan pulling air over the ram. Clockspeeds are as they should be, they never drop under load: 1110/1510mhz (core/mem) on the 280x, 4.9Ghz on the i7, 2400mhz on the ram. There are no framerate limits: no v-sync, no rivatuner limit, no ingame limit Cpu power saving modes and AMD ULPS are disabled (through BIOS and Afterburner) DirectX, GPU driver, BIOS, games are all up to date. I used the latest DDU in safe mode, then installed 17.4.4 Crimson Running background applications are: Gigabyte AppCenter, Rapoo Mouse driver, Realtek audio and Intel rapid storage. I've tried setting the games' priority to high and real time, and have seen no visible improvement. Ingame graphics settings sometimes cause an increase in GPU usage, but still not >90%, framerate stays low (<60). Fullscreen/borderless modes bring no noticeable changes. Win 10 power plan is on high performance. Power connectors are securely attached. Monitor is connected to the 280x, not the mobo. Benchmarks can stress the individual components to 100%, no issue there. AMD control panel is currently not installed, so it can't interfere with anything, but removing it did not help the situation. Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for any insight in advance. In addition: The issue was present on my old AM3+ system, too. Windows had been reinstalled on that, because of corrupted thumbnail cache, but this issue had existed before that corruption, as well. The AM3+ and this Z270 mobo are both Gigabyte boards, but THAT can't be the problem, right?? (they both have the latest BIOS) Also, max bus speed is set to Gen3 in the BIOS. Furthermore: fallout 4, dark souls 3 and assassin's creed syndicate work fine, I'm a dumbass for mentioning them earlier, sorry.

So I recently upgraded from a gtx 970 to a gtx 1070, and I noticed that my fps either did not increase, sometimes a little, and sometimes decreased! Especially in games like gta 5 my fps is on, sometimes below 60 fps. I also noticed that my cpu usage is sometimes on 100%. I was wondering if my i5 4460 is bottlenecking my gtx 1070, and if so, what new cpu I should get. So I recently got a msi gtx 1070 8g, and I noticed my fps is pretty low. My gtx 970 caught fire but I still had warranty so now I have a 1070. In games like Grand theft auto 5 I noticed my fps was below 60 sometimes. Some forums said that grand theft auto 5 is pretty cpu intensive so my cpu bottlenecks the whole thing, while other forums said that the i5 4460 should work fine. I did not overclock anything and installed all newest drivers. any idea what could be the problem? is it really my cpu or is something else wrong? full specs: intel core I5 4460 @3.2 ghz msi geforce gtx 1070 8g Kingston HyperX FURY Black 16GB @1866 mhz msi h97 pc mate mobo windows 10 anniversary edition cooler master 700 watt psu

I just built a new pc and downloaded the new ME:A and started to play...only I could because just getting to the start screen was a hassle as it was extremely choppy and I could tell just unplayable. Also, I went into my BIOS when I got it to run and changed the setting on my ram. The MHz on the board didn't quite match with the MHz on the ram so I selected the speed that was closest to the one on the ram. Is that the right choice or should I go with the one that's higher?
