I am playing optifabric 1.18.2 with rtx 3080(1440p) and r5 5600g and get around 120/140 fps on bsl, 80/90 on seus and 180/200 fps on complimentary. The weird thing is that whenever i go to my base fps drops to 40/35 and cpu usage is 60% but gpu is 25-27%. But when i am not in my base gpu usage is 70-90%. The most noticeable thing is when i look towards my base standing in front of it gpu usage instantly drops to 25 % and when i look away gpu usage increases to 70-80. Only for the sole purpose of testing if this was my gtx 1080's fault i bought an rtx 3080 but the performance is almost same. How can i solve this?

Hello I upgraded my pc half year ago everything except the power supply. Here are my current specs GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, Memory: 32 4x8 GB RAM 3200MHz, dual monitor 1920 x 1080 p 144Hz and 1920 x 1080 p 60Hz .My main problems is that league is constantly dropping and siting at about 100 fps on maxed graphics. Some issues I've found is that my pc recognizes my ram as being 2133MHz for some reason. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the low fps. I did a bench mark I'm not sure if that can help u in anyway but here it is :https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/52597374. Thank u in advance!

I have a i5-4590, gtx 1650 and 8gb of ram. Warzone used to have at least 120 fps and vanguard 200. Now I only get 60 on Warzone and 130 on Vanguard. I got Malwarebytes, avast, and AVG and it they all say no threats at all. Anyways, recently games have like I said been perfoming extremely bad. Is it just the game getitng more intensive, me having more stuff installed, or maybe there is a cyrptomining malware there? Anyways, how would I fix the performance? Can I reset windows? Is it just the game?

So i started a new world, when i enabled my shader pack my fps was lower than it should. It doesn't use my gpu more than 40%. I played 1.14.4 with 70-110 fps but now it is so low. I know my cpu bottneck my gpu but it had better fps than 30. CPU: i7-4790 GPU: GTX 1070Ti 16 GB ram

So I've bought a new gpu recently and I've been having some issues with it. I switched from an rx580 to a 6700 XT and my fps significantly went down to pretty much unplayable in CPU-bound games or at least low load games e.g. Fortnite, CSGO, Dead by Daylight. The card tends to run at its minimum clock of 500MHz and using wattman does not give it a consistent minimum clock of whatever is put in. Other games run fine and just boost to 2400-2500 easily and consistently. I've noticed clockspeeds tend to ramp up in the menu when I up the graphics, only to plummet once I close the pause menu. Low settings however pretty much always give low clock speeds. I've done a DDU and a fresh windows reinstall, but this worked only while my pc was on for that day and then went back to normal. Drivers are updated to latest recommended version. I've seen a lot of people with what seems to be the same issue and hoping to find someone who knows a solution here. E.G And no I know 100% sure that my pc specs have nothing to do with this issue. If you haven't had any experience with this issue please don't bother posting the generic fixes here, I've seen them all, they don't work.

Hi guys, I am in dire need of help because as the title says, my PC is underperforming in every single game I have tested and no longer seems to work properly. This all began 2 days ago when I found a large amount of cobwebs inside my PC and they were in every corner around the front of the PC and quite a lot at the back where the PSU is. I then cleaned out the PC of the cobwebs using a microfiber cloth without knowing that this can cause static electricity, I don't think it did zap anything but I don't want to rule out that possibility. I then left the PC overnight not thinking that the spider would be inside the PC, (as I have had a few cobwebs in there before without a spider show itself) then to my surprise, the following morning there was cobwebs everywhere again so I opened up the entire case to find it. Once I exposed of the pretty hefty house spider, I then cleaned the pc out using the microfiber cloth again as I have been using it to clean my pc for a long time. I am on carpet flooring but I had my shoes on when I was wiping the cobwebs away. I would like to mention that I had no issues at all before the spider was inside of my pc and all of my games were running as they should on my system which is: ASUS ROG RTX 2080 Ti Intel Core i9-9900k 32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro Corsair 650W TX-M PSU 2TB Intel 760p M.2 NVMe ASUS ROG Maximus XI HERO motherboard Things I have done so far to try and fix the issue: Removed the GPU and placed it again Cleared the CMOS by removing the battery Deleted all remnants of GPU drivers with DDU and then installed older drivers that I knew were working Monitored my GPU, CPU and M.2 while running a game and I can't really tell any difference other than some of the motherboard temperatures in iCUE don't seem to move at all no matter if I am idle or under full load. If anyone could help me I would be very grateful as I am worried that perhaps either my GPU, motherboard or CPU is dying even though I've only had them for two and a half years and it's worked perfectly up until I cleaned my pc. Edit: I forgot to mention that whilst monitoring the CPU in Extreme Tuning Utility, the CPU's utilization seems to spike up and down constantly along with the core count as I am playing any game, even if it's an old game like The Witcher 3. I have been modding The Witcher 3 recently also but everything was working fine. I did uninstall all of my mods but the game still runs terribly. Here's a benchmark I have just done in AC Odyssey: https://imgur.com/a/EWt6IMy My AC Odyssey used to run at about 60 to 90 fps (settings not changed) and now it’s not even going above 45 for longer than 3 consecutive seconds.

I have been playing warzone on my pc. I spent all my money on it and it's nothing special. An i5-4590, 8gb ddr3, a 1650 amongst other parts. it ran fine, 80+ fps with drops to the high 40's. Perfectly reasonable. But when the free vnguard trial came out and I played it I got nearly the same. But when I went back to modern warfare it wouldn't go above 50 fps and stuttered like crazy, giving me lows and averages of 0 and 20 respectively. Does anybody know why this happened and how to fix? It's unplayable, unbearable. Thanks in advance.

My pc is still new ,less than a year old, for the past 2 months i've had low fps problems in every fps game The pc that I have is HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1001nk the specs are: OS: Windows 10 Home 64 Microprocessor:AMD Ryzen™ 5 4600H (3.0 GHz base clock, up to 4.0 GHz max boost clock, 8 MB L3 cache, 6 cores) Memory, standard:8 GB DDR4-3200 MHz RAM (2 x 4 GB) Video graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1650 (4 GB GDDR6 dedicated) Hard drive: 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD the low fps problem started very randomly, I also changed the pc fans and it isn't overheating, tested the graphics card and it works fine, so my best guess it's a software issue but i have no idea what it is or how to solve it.

i9 10900 non K not giving full potential
notsapinho posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
So, I have a I9 10900 non K running on a Gigabyte B460M HD together with 2 sticks of 16gb 3000ghz ram, a rtx 2080 super and a 600w power supply. A while I go I noticed the temps were just too high and decided to go with a z63 from NZXT, its running well at 60-70 degrees max with the VRM at 80 degrees max. But yesterday one of my friends bought a RTX 2070 for his setup and with his RTX and a i9 9900k he could pull up +40fps than me on The Forest. Looking for other people's i9 testings, the fps difference from mine were sometimes huge. I guess there is something to do with my MOBO and my power supply, im afraid to buy it and not solve my problem. sorry for bad english- 9 replies

Hi, I'm kind of new to gaming. Started with Fortnite, as my kids play it too. I went all in on a i9-13900K rig; MSI Mag Tomahawk Z690 D4 (wifi) i9-13900k, cooled by LF II 420mm. It does around 40k points in cinebench so cooling is not an issue (draws around 390W). 2x16GB G.Skill 3600MTs CL16 ram (Trident Z neo), XMP enabled MSI 3070TI Suprim X, power cap at 106% Set to gaming mode. WD SN850X drive, in the correct M.2 slot. Crystaldiskinfo gets me about right perf here too. I'm gaming at 1440p, FPS is capped to 60 fps. I do however get a lot of drops to 10-20fps every now and then. Even in the lobby. Settings are at auto. Monitoring CPU usage (task manager & HWinfo) and GPU usage (MSI Afterburner) on another monitor, they are all good (GPU at around 40%, CPU low). What gives? Any ideas? how could I better monitor the FPS's (1% lows etc) while playing?

So today I treated myself with a used RX6600XT that performed on par and even better than what to expect from it in 3DMark Time Spy. It was tested in the sellers system, the guy put the GPU into the system with brand new driver install so no problem there. I bring it home, put it into my system consisting of: i7 4790k @ 4.8Ghz 32GB 1600MT/s Asus Maximus VII Hero Asus Dual RX6600XT 8GB Before this GPU upgrade I had a RX580 4GB, games ran fine but anything more demanding, set it back, especially because of the 4GB VRAM. After DDU‘ing drivers and installing the latest from AMD, I fire up PUBG, a game that I mostly play, on the old GPU it ran at about 100FPS at 1080p. GPU sat usually at 100% while CPU was chilling at 50-60%. On the new one it runs at 80-90FPS while GPU and CPU sit at 40-50%. I know 1080p is CPU intensive but I should at least be seeing an improvement over the old one, not worse. I also fired up BeamNG.drive where I saw a similar situation. Low GPU and CPU usage as well as low FPS (compared to old one). Old one ran it 70-80FPS, new one runs it at 60ish. For the record, my monitor is 75Hz which is the threshold I‘m looking to achieve. So at this point, I don‘t know what to do. I currently don‘t have money to upgrade to a new platform but that is in the works. I just want to play games at more than 75FPS and it‘s mind boggling to me how an upgrade can actually take you a step back. If anybody knows the sollution, I‘ve already looked at a few other topics regarding similar issues with the same GPU but I can‘t find any correspondence with mine. Any help is appriciated. Regards, tw1st3d

Hello I recently bought my computer. It's a fairly recent PC due to the parts but I haven't stopped noticing that I don't have such good FPS in certain games like Assassin's Creed Odyssey... What do you think it could be?

So when i play cod all is fine in my first game then after a little while my fps starts dropping to 25-30 from 70-80. Whats confusing is the fact my friend has basically the same specs as me and we run the same graphics settings and he has no problem with his game running at around 70fps all the time. also don't know how much importance this has but in warzone the in game performance over lay states my gpu runs at 10ms and my cpu runs at 25-30ms where as my friends gpu runs at 10ms and his cpu runs at 10ms. My specs are as listed: Reyzen 5 3600 1660TI 16gb ddr4 ram (4x4gb) Kingston NV1 1tb ssd (in which cod is installed on) asus rog strix b450-f My friends specs are as listed: Reyzen 5 3600 1660 16gb ddr4 ram (2x8gb) no ssd Asrock phantom gaming 4 x570

Hi! I bought a new laptop recently, here are the specs: OS: Windows 11 CPU : Intel i5-11400 2.60GHz - 4.4GHz Turbo 6 cores GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU // Intel UHD Graphics 730 16Gb RAM (2*8Gb) DDR4 3.2GHz 144Hz screen 1Tb SSD I've seen some game tests with the same specs on a laptop on YouTube, even read some threads with people that have similar specs to mine (even some with lower than mine), and for some reason, everyone seems to run their games crazy good, while mine struggle on most of games. I can't even run Hitman above 30fps wether I tweak the graphic settings or not, I can't play Warzone with decent fps even if I put everything in low, I can run Hogwarts Legacy but there are a lot of places where fps just drop, the PC does not handle f-ing Genshin Impact on ultra, I had to tweak settings for hours on Lost Judgment to get 50-60fps, etc... When I read what people with the same specs as mine have to say, everything runs AT LEAST, MINIMUM AT 60FPS with medium/high settings on most of games. There's DEFINITELY something wrong with my PC, and I don't know what. I feel like it's not using its full capacities. Here's what I saw in video, the guy has nearly the exact same specs as my laptop, and his Warzone runs at 60fps with high settings, while my Warzone is unplayable. Video "here". I updated all my drivers, Nvidia included, I have GeForce Experience installed, my laptop is plugged, battery settings are on max performances, my Nvidia control panel is on my RTX, same for the games I'm playing, I put all of them on my RTX wether it's in the game or in the control panel. I just don't get it. Some games run the same or worse compared to my older potatoe laptop (it had like 8Gb of RAM, a GTX 1050, i5 8th gen, basically it was a MSI GL62M and I added a 500Gb SSD to replace the HDD to run things smoother). Please I really need help, my laptop is like brand new, it has to work! I don't know what the problem could be... Thank you for your answers!

So I got this laptop around a month ago, brand new, the Dell Vostro 3405 with the AMD Ryzen 3450u and when I'm gaming or doing whatever I see like 80% usage spikes but then I look at the actual processes or tasks or whatever that are active and there is like a couple things only that are using say, 20% CPU and, nothing else, like 2 or 3 things besides that that are using like 3% CPU each. Its so annoying because when I'm doing whatever, playing 1080p youtube, gaming, etc, it slows down when I try to like close a program, load a new page (its not a bigg slow down but its just not smooth) so I don't know why there are CPU usage spikes like that but it doesn't really show what is pushing the CPU to 100% usage each time on task manager. Also, some times it just runs fine, 60FPS stable while gaming (I know this machine is capable of more even, we're talking League of Legends, that the game I play most of the time) but then some times I just get low, unstable FPS, like around 30 and going even below that in moments of high action on screen (graphics set to low, vsync etc disabled). I don't know what's happening, maybe something's causing the CPU/GPU to throttle, something is causing the CPU to get to 100% usage when it shouldn't do that, but something is causing the PC to slow down. The laptop came with Windows 10 LTSC (installed by the local store that sold it to me) and I recently installed Windows 11 Pro (which Dell says this machine is compatible with). Something else to mention, I don't think this PC thermal throttles (maybe, I don't know what the threshold is for this specific machine) but it stabilizes at around 70 degrees under heavy load and it maintains that) Hope you guys can help me figure out what is causing my PC to have CPU usage spikes when stuff are loading (when chrome pages loading, game client pages loading, booting up game client(LoL cliente), etc, and why some times I get low frame rates when this machine should be capable of running League of Legends at least at a steady 60FPS no problem. If you need any extra info to try to help me I'll gladly provide, thank you in advance

Powercolor RX 570 Red Dragon 4GB (ex mining, most likely) consumes only 80-100 watts while it should be 120-150 watts. Tested on both BIOS. Performance in gaming is worse than RX 470D (which is worse than regular RX 470). Only 38 fps in Shadow of the Tomb Raider High Preset while the RX 470D gets 46 fps. AIDA64 benchmark also worse than other RX 570. Especially in Memory Read which is only 1.6GBps while it should be at least 6,3GBps. Things I have tried: - reinstall driver. - update driver to newest. - switch to mining BIOS and install-patch driver. - clean with DDU and reinstal driver. - Reducing core clock to 1.100v. - increase power limit to the max. - reset mobo CMOS. Things I haven't tried: - reflashing the card BIOS. - using different PSU. - using whole different computer. - repasting and cleaning the card. - overclocking the card. - begging the card to work harder. Notes: - Mobo and Windows always set to maximum performance. - max CPU temp is 77°C. - using 6+2 pins PCIe cable. It should be enough for a 120w card. - the card's back plate is too hot, I think. - but the sensor says it never goes beyond 76°C. - my dead RX 470D can consume 120w just fine with the same PSU. My old PC: i7 4770 Asus Z87-K 12GB RAM, 1600MHz FSP Hexa+ 400 Windows 10 21H2. --- Update: okay, the weirdest thing just happened. Not sure if it's related or not. My i7 4770 non K peaked at 4GHz just now. It never do that in the 5 years I own the CPU!

First off, here are my specs: GTX 1060 3gb i3 8300 16gb RAM DDR4 So I recently got Forza Horizon 4. I installed it on my HDD. I play on the medium graphics preset (even though online benchmarks say I could play on ultra). Not long after I play, my FPS drops significantly. It goes back to normal after I alt-tab a bit or when it eventually does it itself. I opened task manager on my second monitor and noticed that when playing, my CPU usage is very high, in the 70s, 80s and 90s. My GPU usage is next to nothing. When I get the occasional FPS drops in game, my CPU usage drops to around 30 and 40 percent. Shouldn't Forza be using my GPU? Could anyone help? Thanks.

Hello guys! So i recently bought a pc, a few months back, thinking that finally I could play competitively and smoothly, all of my favourite games(CS, Fortnite, Gta 5, TF2 etc). My problem is that in every game i play, even though i have some decent specs, my framerates are awful, I am getting around 90-130-150 fps constantly, on CSGO, on the lowest possible settings and on a 4:3 resolution.I have tried all the launch commands, i have even tried reinstalling Windows, tho i am getting the same low framerate. Same thing on Fortnite, i am getting 100-130 fps, lowest settings, 4:3 resolution and my framerate uncapped. My monitor is plugged into my graphics card via DisplayPort. My specs are: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 @3.6 GHz XFX RX 580 8 GB, latest drivers Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB DDR4 3000MHz CL 16 Gigabyte A320M-S2H Mobo 650 Watt PSU I also have a Samsung LC24RG50FQUXEN monitor, @144hz, so my framerates need to stay above 144 to be enjoyable. I have watched many videos on Youtube of people running MY EXACT specs and getting around 200-300 fps constantly in csgo and 170+ in Fortnite. Any help?

Hello, I've been having troubles with gaming recently where I had a really high fps at some areas (120-144) and it came down to 50-70 on city crowded areas. Funny thing is the usage of both cpu and gpu goes down as well as my fps by simply looking at this cities and crowded areas but when I turn my camera to my foot, my fps goes high up as well as cpu and gpu usage. There are games that I stopped playing because of this issue and I'd like to include them to the list of suspected games that had a massive fps decrease. I'm about to upgrade to a R5 3700x and a b450m mortar max mobo because of this issue. SUSPECTED GAMES: borderlands 3 (same goes for the Tow, during fights my fps would go down to 50 from 120 fps on the intro, also looking at buildings reduces fps.) Ultra settings Euro truck simulator (This is the game that I'm playing r.n,FPS is 135-144 FPS on the highway but reduces to 70 when on cities.) dishonored 2 (same goes for borderlands and the outer worlds) medium-high settings Metro Exodus (looking to the town from the train on Volga reduces fps) ultra settings Rotrr (same goes. Someone told me to upgrade my ram and it worked but still now that I'm using a 144hz monitor I think fps is still less.) It's weird that my cpu and gpu usage goes down when my fps goes down too, they go high when there aren't any things to render. 144hz 24" 1080p monitor amd 20.2.2 Ryzen 5 2600 stock (47c at idle temp, 70-80 during loads?) ambient temp is 33c (It's pretty hot here) RX 5700 XT stock (50c idle temp, 70-85 during loads) 16GB 2x8 @3200mhz A320 msi motherboard teamgoup ssd wd hdd 7200rpm

My Lenovo Y545 (laptop) has a GTX 1660TI, i7-9750H and 16 GB of RAM. From the past few days i have been noticing fps drops but recently I cant get any game to go above 20 fps. I looked into it and according to MSI afterburner my VRAM memory clock which is supposed to be at 6000MHz is at 810MHz. GPU temp max at 82°C and CPU temp max is at 85°C. I have tried undervolting and have used DDU twice but I was unsuccessful. I am relatively new to the PC world so I dont know what to do next could someone help me?

So I tend to play minecraft a lot with my friends, and I have since gotten into shaders and optifine. However, my fps is pretty low for me. While other people with the same graphics card and a less powerful processor such as the 1600 get 400fps vanilla, 100ish fps shaders, I only get about 200fps vanilla, 45 shaders. And that's not even with a texture pack. I've tried everything I could. Enabled XMP up to 3200mhz, installed optifine, tweaked nvidia settings. I'm wondering if this giant tech forum could finally give me an answer to why my rig was severely underperforming (all my other games run fine though)
-
Hello. So i bought new GPU. RX 5700. Upgraded from GTX 970. But i feel like its heavily underperforming. When i saw other benchmarks they easily ran most games at 75+ fps. Meanwhile i cant run Far Cry 5 properly on high on 60. I think my PSU could be the issue. But can there be something else going on? This is my userbenchmark: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/26780111. By looking at GPU you can tell something is off. My PSU is: Thermaltake 500W Smart RGB 80+ CPU: Ryzen 1600x Ram: GoodRam 2400mhz. I hope i can solve this fast because i barely see any diffrence in fps since this upgrade. Edit: 2x8 ram.

Lately i've been getting low fps on csgo while in the past I got over 150fps. On the new anubis map i barely got 60fps with medium settings and with all settings maxed out i got 80. fps_max is set to 400, cpu usage is 70% or lower and gpu usage is about 20-30%. Also when a lot of grenades are thrown some times the game stutters to 20fps for a split second while cpu usage isn't even at 100%. Is this issue common or am I the only one. My pc specs are i5 4460 gtx 1060 6gb 12gb ram.
