i have explained my problem one too many times so for you to understand i uploaded a video on youtube. heres the link: im desperate - YouTube i've noticed that the power consumption in the radeon settings isn't very high (doesnt go up more than 70 Watts) (this happens on newer games like doom eternal or farcry 5 too just not as terrible) what i have tried: -reinstall drivers (with DDU) -reinstall windows 10 -disabled xbox game presence writer -disabled windows game mode -overclock CPU -overclock gpu with msi afterburner -and 2000 other things i dont remember specs: GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5600 XT Mech OC CPU: R5 3600 RAM: corsair vengance 16GB 3200MHz PSU: 500 Watt be quiet! Pure Power 11 CM Modular 80+ Gold Motherboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk Max Main SSD: Samsung 970 Evo HDD: 1TB WD Blue WD10EZE Monitor: MSI MAG271CQR (freesync) any kind of help is greatly appreciated

Specs: R5 2600 (OC to 4Ghz) EVGA RTX 2060 XC Ultra Gaming OC (Overclocked to roughly 1950mhz) Patriot Viper 4 16 (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 Memory MSI B450i Gaming Plus AC Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard This issue honestly isn't a huge deal to me because I don't play getting over much except for on occasion to relax a bit, and this issue is not carrying over to any other titles that I play. I'm mostly just curious about what's causing this and I'm a bit stumped. Maybe you guys can help me solve the mystery. I normally get 165fps with maxed out settings on 1080p playing this title (my monitor is 165hz refresh rate). When I opened it this evening though, I noticed that the frames were much lower than normal. 120fps is the new high end, 85 is about the new low end. I looked at my GPU usage on afterburner and it will not go above 50% for some reason while playing his game. All my other games get full utilization but not this one. No the issue is not thermal related, my temperatures on GPU and CPU stay below 70 degrees C for the most part. No the issue is not a CPU bottleneck. The CPU has not reached anything higher than about 70% I think while playing. I have my power settings set to prefer maximum power and my GPU is set to always put out as many frames as it can in the nvidia control panel. I don't think the issue is RAM related, because if it were then I would not be seeing normal performance in other titles. Like I said, this one has genuinely got me stumped. If anyone out there has any ideas, I'm all ears as I'm super curious to find out what's going on here.

Hi, so I already went through a lot of threads and posts on all kinds of forums and tried pretty much everything they recommended without much success. This problem though seems to be wide spread. My Problem: Low gpu usage and fps in games in 1080p resolution. I notice this in a lot of my games: farcry 5, cyberpunk, star wars battlefront 2... As soon as I bump up the resolution the usage goes up and I can injoy the games with much higher settings but the same fps. Now you could say it's a cpu limit but with a r7 5800X I thought there would be more headroom. In CP 2077 I am only getting 60-70 fps (1080p ultra ) with dipps into the 40s once in a while. In reviews from gamers nexus for example I saw that with the same preset they got between 70-110 fps. I attached a picture from msi afterburner where I was playing CP2077 and you can clearly see when I switched to 4k in the ingame settings and went back to 1080p. I do not notice these problems with benchmarks like unigin superposition. Where I can easily get around 15200 point in 4k optimized or 29000 points in 1080p ultra. My system: - R7 5800X - MSI rtx 3080 supreme X - 32GB cl16 corsair Vengence RGB at 3200mhz (4slots used) - 850W Corsair platinum power supply (3 individual cables going to my gpu) - asus X570 f gaming Motherboard What I already tried: - reinstall all gpu drivers using ddu in safe mode without internet and fetching the newest drivers from the nvidia site. - updating the bios to the newest version - switching out the ram/only running 2 sticks of Dominator Platinum 3600mhz - turning off gsync - making sure there are no background programs running

Hello guys, its my first post on this forum been following Linus for years now. Anyhow, I got myself a new pc with a Ryzen 7 AMD 5700g and ZOTAC RTX 3070. However, I'm seeing low fps in Valorant on low settings 150-200fps. Seeing from online benchmarks I believe with this CPU and GPU combo I'm supposed to get around 300 avg fps(?) Where I made a mistake I THINK was getting an ASUS Tuf Gaming A520M-PLUS Wifi motherboard which I think is bottlenecking my CPU(?) not being able to overlock my cpu. Attached is my amd ryzen master settings which seem to be weird my EDC(cpu) is currently at 51% while just using chrome and 90% while on valorant. Please help Do I need to change my motherboard to a more high end compatible motherboard?

Hi, So I've been having a problem with my framerate in games on a new laptop that I just got a few days ago. As seen on the pictures that I took (I couldn't record them), my games are usually low on fps most of the time. However when I alt-tab multiple times (or fast enough, I still haven't figured it out), the game will see a significant improvement in fps. We're talking 20fps+ improvement. After seeing some benchmarks on YouTube, the high fps is what I'm supposed to get all the time but for some reason I need to alt-tab a lot of time just to get to that point. This severely affects multitasking as I can't alt-tab to other programs since that would bring the framerate back down until I alt-tab multiple times again. This is such a hassle and all I want is to gain the high framerate constantly. Something else I've noticed is that changing refresh rate through windows settings from 144Hz to 60Hz improves my fps (I still leave it on 144Hz). I don't think that should happen, monitor's refresh rate shouldn't affect the performance of the laptop. Based on my observations, GPU1 usage is high when the low framerate happens and the opposite during high framerate (GPU2 usage is more). GPU1 = AMD Radeon Graphics and GPU2 = Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU. Things I've tried: 1) Update AMD and NVIDIA drivers. 2) Uninstalled AMD and NVIDIA drivers from "add or remove program" and reinstalling the AMD and NVIDIA drivers 3) Used DDU to uninstall AMD and NVIDIA drivers and reinstalling AMD and NVIDIA drivers. 4) Change my battery settings. 5) Turned off iGPU on armoury crate. 6) Changed the settings in NVIDIA Control Panel. But to no avail, I'm still facing this problem. Does anyone know what I'm dealing with, I've dealt with a lot of software problems but nothing like this. Specifications: - ASUS TUF A15 F506IC - AMD Ryzen 7 4800H - NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3050 - Single-channel 3200Mhz DDR4 8GB Ram - GPU1 = AMD Radeon Graphics - GPU2 = Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU

Hello everyone, I saw on a benchmar site that my config (rtx 3070 / ryzen 5 3600 / 16go RAM) can run Valorant with around 700fps in low 1080p. However, I only have 200fps in the game and they are not satible. They alternate between 150 and 200 fps. Did you have the same problem? Help me please the benchmark link for 700fps : https://www.gpucheck.com/game-gpu/valorant/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3070/amd-ryzen-5-3600/

hello, hopefully a simple issue, i haven't yet found a fix for the issue. i recently connected a second display (55' 1080p tv) for certain games that won't display correctly on 3440x1440(main monitor). now the issue is when i first tried to play fallout 4(all other games have the issue) on the tv, it would run at very low fps(30 or less), and the usage would be at 50% or less. i messed with a bunch of settings, and eventually thought i fixed the issue. now it will have the issue, but it will be random depending on which screen i am playing a game on, and all games have the issue, including halo infinite which was just installed.. if i disconnect one of the screens, no games have the issue, so it has something to do with both being connected. so far i have tried all in game settings, no avail, and tried messing with nvidia control panel, and power management, none seems to fix it, and i'm not really sure which might be causing the issue. i am running windows 11, not sure if that may be the problem, also registry is edited for taskbar on top(not sure if that could cause issues). thanks for any input/ideas. relevant specs: 3700x tuf x570 gaming plus zotac rtx 3070 twin edge oc trident z neo 2x8 3600 cl16 2x 1tb crucial p1 nvme(game drives) 1 is on a pci card 1x 500gb 970 evo plus(boot drive) 1tb hdd/ 2tb hdd(media storage) corsair rm750 aoc cu34g2x 3440x1440 vizio 55' 1080p Windows 11 pro edit: meant to post this in troubleshooting addition: forgot to mention, not sure if it is related, but i am also getting a strange random flicker towards the top of the screen, happens on either screen, or both screens. kinda like the top third of the screen flickers black for a split second.

Hello. I built a new pc about 8 months ago, these are the specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x RAM: 4x8GB RIPJAWS 3600mhz CL18 GPU: Asus GTX1080Ti ROG STRIX – 11GB Vram Motherboard: MSI B550M Pro-VDH Wifi SSD: Samsung 500GB NVM2 PSU: Corsair TX850M 80+ Gold Case: Coolermaster Masterbox TD500 ARGB CPU Cooler: ASUS ROG STRIX LC 360 RGB Liquid Cooler My PC was running perfectly fine for a while, but suddenly I realized a decrease in fps and overall performance. My CPU and GPU usage never go above 50% no matter what test nor game i play/run. Not sure why though, my temps are perfectly fine. Back when the PC was working normally under full stress both CPU and GPU would be around if not under 60 Degrees Celsius. I have updated the drivers for my BIOS, Chipset and GPU, so everything should be up to date. I am somewhat lost in what to do, as I have tried most things I can google my way to. If anyone can help or have an idea that I haven't tried please let me know. Have a good rest of your day, Regards.

Okay so here goes, All my games used to run very smoothly even on 60fps till a couple of months back when every game I played below 144fps started to feel laggy/choppy. I tried every basic solution internet had to offer but had no luck with them. My specs back then were:- Acer 144hz monitor (no freesync or gsync) GTX 1060 6gb i5 8600k 8x2 3200mhz DDR4 Corsair HX750 PSU Razer Viper wired with 1000hz polling rate I was losing my mind over this issue until I recently decided to upgrade my monitor and GPU. My specs now:- Gigabyte g24f 165hz monitor (Gsync compatible) RTX 3070 8gb Everything else is the same. I thought this upgrade would fix the issue but there's literally no difference. Any game that goes below 120-144 feels like I'm playing under 60fps whether it's single player or multiplayer. There is no stuttering or lag while using the pc for other purposes. The GPU temp barely every goes above 75° even at 100% usage and the CPU temp never goes above 60° Here's a video benchmarking fps with afterburner: Youtube Also, there's this thing called 99% fps on Nvidia geforce overlay which in my case is like half of my average fps. Here's an example video: Nvidia What I have already tried:- - Clean reinstall of windows - Turning vsync on or off (I've never played any game with vsync on in my life) - Disabling fullscreen optimizations - Using both HDMI and DP cable - Using RTSS to cap FPS This has been way too frustrating for me and I feel like I'm running out of options on the internet and at this point I'll take any help I can get. Please let me know if there's anything else I can provide you with to make you understand the issue better. Thanks

I have a 5950x, 6800xt, 64GB of ram, and a 600w power supply (I know it's a bit low wattage, but I haven't had any crashes and it was the one I could get). My temps are around 80c under load on both my CPU and GPU. When I play games, my gpu is anywhere from 40 to 80% utilization, with my cpu always around 10-20%. How can I get my computer to use more of my hardware?

Hello ! Recently I received my new graphics card, but notice that I do not have the performance that I should have. I had them, for like, 1 day, then problem of start on problem of start, I updated my pc to windows 11 thinking of solving the problem (a clean DDU driver reinstal did not work). I feel like my card is stuck. If it is used at almost 100% on the benchmarks, I am only at 30/35 max in games. I know what you are going to tell me: a game does not use the GPU at 100%. True, but I have 90/100 fps on overwatch, 120 fps maximum on ghostrunner without rtx on, and there is more example. (on the other hand i have 4889 of score on Unigine heaven Benchmark, with ultra settings and 2560x1080, bcs i'm on 21:9) My config : - rtx 3080 ti suprim x - i7 9700k - 32 Go DDR4 corsair vengeance 4300 MHz - AS Rock z390 Pro4 Thx for the future help.

hey guys i have an issue regarding fps in lol only, i have noticed that the gpu doesn't boost it's frequency and the power consumption stays low when i'm playing (like it is just idling). btw i have a lenovo legion 5 pro with r7 5800H, rtx 3070 with 16 gb of ram. While playing the igpu was disabled and the cpu turbo boost was disabled too(it's heat up to 70°C with almost 0 gains in fps). Thanks!

I am experiencing what seems to be either hardware or driver related issues with my pc while gaming. Before I get into it, here are my specs: -Ryzen 5 1600af overclocked to 4.1ghz -EVGA rtx 2080 super XC ultra (latest drivers,) (2100mhz core clock, 8200mhz memory) -16gb (2x8gb) Corsair vengeance memory at 3200mhz XMP profile - Aorus B450 pro wifi motherboard (Bios ver. 61) -750w 80+ bronze EVGA power supply BR series -Resolution is 2560x1440 at 144hz on a viewsonic monitor Recently, my FPS has been down from an average of about 260-300, to between 90 and 130 in my primary game; Rainbow Six Siege. The game has been stuttering, and full on rubber banding at times with the icon even coming on to tell me that I am not rendering enough frames to take advantage of my 144hz monitor. My temps on GPU are between 45-55 degrees and CPU temps are between 55-65 degrees Celsius while gaming. The CPU usage never goes past 60-70%, and GPU usage never hits 65-70%. Memory usage is 6.7-7.0 GB out of 16 GB. All drivers are up to date, and as far as I know I have no fps limiters, or any software dragging my performance down. All NVIDIA control panel and windows power settings are set to high performance, and in game settings are only using 4.4gb out of 8gb of vram. I have seen both success and failure with using Razer Cortex system booster software, which helps some days, or does nothing on others. Last night was by far the worst gaming experience I’ve had though and nothing I tried to do seemed to help. If more info is needed such as benchmarks, screenshots, etc. I can tag those files at a later date. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I got a new card few days ago, it's an Asus 3060 Ti Dual V2 OC version. It worked fine the first two-three days, but now I started noticing weird thing, like for example really low usage and FPS in GTA 5 at 1080, 50-90 at very high settings. Same thing happening in CP2077, I run it on the RTX Ultra preset at 1080p, but my card still manages to push out 60-70 fps at ~80% usage? I decided to run some 3DMark benchmarks and here are the results: Firestrike settings Firestrike scores TimeSpy settings TimeSpy scores Also note that I have it running with an undervolt at 943 mV and 1995 MHz. It usually stays between 60 and 70 degrees C. Other PC specs are 3700X, X470 aorus ultra gaming motherboard, 2x8gb @ 3200mhz, and edg650 650W psu. If you need any other info ask.

Hey so I’ve been receiving worse and worse Frame rates sense building (about 6 months ago) on my rig. I’ve tried everything from replacing my Gpu through Nvidia to upgrading my cpu to replacing my motherboard (and everything software wise as well that I can think of). I really am looking for out of the box (or overlooked basic) solutions to try and somehow fix this problem! I’ve reached out to Nvidia, Amd, And Best Buy as well as Bringing my computer in to be diagnosed at 2 local computer stores and one couldn’t find an issue and the other said the monitor is capping the pc’s frames at 60 which I figured was bogus, but either way my monitor’s 144hz and my (2070 Super) laptop gets 300fps on the same monitor so either way, bogus! I’ve tried darn near everything, any suggestions would be much appreciated! Hello, for about two weeks I´m having some problems in a few games. It started when I tried playing Far Cry 6, set my settings and all, played a bit and then when I for example leave a workbench or the menu, I suddenly get like 0.5 Fps ( Capped the game at 60 Fps and was getting 60 consistently) I started searching for a problem and when I look at the utilization I can see that my CPU and GPU are at 3-10%. I already updatet my bios, installed the newest graphics drivers and reinstalled the game, nothing worked. Altough if I activate fidelityfx in Far Cry 6 it helps a bit. Tried playing Gta V today and got the same problem, I can play for 5-20 minutes and then the same problem. I also looked at the temps and GPU had 85 C max at hot spot and CPU had 68 C Specs: CPU: Ryzen 3600 @4.2Ghz GPU: RTX 2080 Asus Strix OC Mainboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX Ram: 2x 8gb G.Skill Ripjaws 3200mhz Psu: be quiet Pure Power 11 600 Watt Storage: Crucial P1 1tb, Crucial MX500 500gb, Seagate Barracuda 2tb Thanks in advance (sorry for typos, not a native english speaker)
