My CPU has been stuck on a base speed of 0.8ghz. Doesn't matter if I boot up a game or anything, it won't budge. If I use ryzen master and put it on manual mode I can put it to any x.x GHz I want without issues but without manual mode it stays at 0.8ghz. Is there anyone here that might be able to help me out? Specs: Ryzen 7 5800x GIGABYTE B550 elite v2 Corsair ddr4 3200 32GB RX6800xt 16GB

I have an asus vivobook X509FJ....recently laptop was getting really hot... SO i decided to undervolt using throttle stop Despite the sliders not greyed out...setting any value on it does not seem to actually do any kind of voltage changes (shown in the tabular column on the right....It used to update every time I made a change when TS worked).....-100mv is the stable offset for my CPu (TS worked fine until the device was running windows 20H2.After the 21H1 update TS stopped working....both older and newer versions dont help....Intel XTU is of no help either)

Finally after years and years I've revived and repaired my old Z1 compact phone. All works but I've come to a surprising hurdle. The lock combo/pattern is wrong. I've got my only combo written down that was supposed to be on the phone yet it's still saying it's wrong. I can't get in. Hard resetting the phone's not an option because I need to rescue all the family photos. Can't use any apps via USB because you normally have to accept USB connection to PC after you've unlocked your phone and usb is alredy taken up as I have to use a wireless mouse to micro usb because I've yet to replace the cracked screen. Anyone know what I could use to get into the phone? I'm thinking something bruteforce but I've only found one tool to do so and it was a bruteforce auto pattern tester that cost like $5000 from a guy who makes it in Poland... Looking at my negative bank balance, that's not an option. Would greatly appreciate help.

I’m currently stuck on choosing the unlocked version or the locked version. I’m not going to be overclocking. The 12600kf cost 50 ca dollars more then the non k and doesn’t come with a cooler. Does 12600kf and 12600 have the same stock performance or is 12600kf faster stock? Also, if the stock performance for both are the same, is the cooler that comes with 12600 good enough?

Hi there, my panasonic lumix camera has recently started to give up on me, first it was that whenever I connected the camera to my laptop the laptop would only recognise the internal memory on the card rather than the sd card, now when I turned on the camera, it said the sd card was locked even though I havent touched the sd card for a month, I have checked for the lock slider and that was on the unlock place and when I inserted the sd card back in again, it still said: ''SD Card locked''. Any Ideas on how to get my camera to recognise the sd card?

Hey guys! After having my i5 4690K for a long time I though it was time to try overclocking. My motherboard is a MSI Z97-g45 gaming. I saw a simple guide online to follow. However when entering bios to OC settings I can't change my CPU Ratio. It just seems to be locked at Auto. I dont know which setting to change to allow overclocking? Does anybody know? Thanks

Hi, I want to open a server for a friends company that he does not remember the password and he doesn't want to lose all the previous data. I used the iseepasswords software to reset the password. After I used it, the password status went from "<unknown>" to "<blank>". Now I've started the machine but there is still a password. Just enter, space, password1234, <blank> doesn't work. I logged on to the iseepasswords software again and the password status was still "<blank>" as I had changed and left it before. Anyone knows what is going on? Also, I have the product key if it helps

Hello there! I am currently running an I7-4790 (non-k) 3.6ghz on my MSI H81M-P33 V1 with 2x8Gb DDR3 1600Mhz RAM with the 1.10 version BIOS. I've seen a lot of talk around the internet of overclocking non-K CPU's and RAM with custom versions of BIOS, but I can't seem to find an solid source to offer me all the info that I'm looking for. *So firstly, if I actually manage to do this and somehow achieve my overclocking "locked" components dream, will it be worth all the fuss? *Secondly if anyone has info on this matter or suggestion I would like to hear it. *I know this topic might be stupid, but I'm just looking for more knowledge anyways.

Hello Everyone thank you all for the time Reading this and helping me out. I have been working on this project for a while but i cant riddle this out. I have a Acer Aspire 5740G (Laptop) that came with a i3 330m, 4GB Ram, 500GB HDD and a ATI Mobility Radeon 5470 512mb Graphics Card. Currently i upgraded it to its fullest and i have the same laptop with a i7 920xm, 8GB Ram, 256GB SSD v300 Kingston and a EGPU AMD RX 570 8GB. Also Upgraded its thermals with a grafite pad instead of termal paste. The issue is i had a i5 580m before and i sometimes had a issue where the cpu would lock its cores way below stock speed and i noticed that it happened always when the ACPI Sensor would register 96.1C on the CPU. After i got a i7 720qm and the i7 920xm i noticed that the sometimes became a constant, the cpus on iddle work almost perfect but on load or some mid load they go instantly to this problem. The i7 920xm locks all cores at 1.1Ghz. and the CPU temps are always at 45-70C never over that on any situation. This hurts gaming alot since it cuts my FPS on like 40% instantly. As soon as any game loads this is permanent until i go back to iddle. I have unlocked BIOS and Updated it and tried all opts to no avail.. Reinstalled Windows many times on each CPU also same. Got a 120W PSU for the new CPU's since it came stock with a 60W and still issue occours. My Chipset is the HM55 and it supports all these CPU's. I am really out of ideas. On the I5 580m i can game normally but i would really like to get the quadcore CPU to prolong its life. Any help is apreciated. I dont speak english natively so im sorry for any errors. I will provide any answer and photos you might need. Thank you in advance all. Regards MiKe

Hi, I'm currently using a system that houses a i5 6500 with 32 GB RAM. I play some AAA games, but not that often. I do some heavy graphical work which require me to have multiple Adobe applications open simultaneously as well as some 3D modeling and motion graphics. So far I've had no issues, but often see some super-short coffee breaks from my PC (they occur randomly when I'm using Photoshop or After Effects). They're not that big of a deal, but simply annoying because my OS drive is an NVMe SSD and I don't expect these short stares. I'm planning to upgrade my processor and am given a choice. 1. i7 6700 2. i7 8700 + Asus TUF H370 (because I'm on a 6th gen board) My question is do cores matter or do they make a significant impact? Some people said I'm better off with the 6700 because it's cheaper and does the work. They also said, I didn't need more cores for the type of work I do. Another group of people suggested I upgraded to the 8700 as more applications and games are heading towards utilization of multiple cores in order to deliver better results. Need some experts' advice and please do mention the reason behind your suggestion.

So I want to give a little bit of context as to why I am so sure that the FPS are locked and that it's got nothing to do with my Hardware. Before I got my Vega I had a GTX 1060. The 1060 was capable of 300+ FPS in CSGO (the GPU being the bottleneck), I am still using the very same CPU so it should be capable of at least 300+ FPS. Also the Vega is capable of achieving way more FPS in CSGO and none of the two Components are even close to a 100% usage. But now when I play CSGO the maximum I get is 250 FPS. It always remains at that number and sometimes, though rarely, drops a little below that. I deactivated all possible FPS Caps I could think of (in CSGO via console commands and in the Radeon Software). I can not see any logical cause for this problem and also didn't really find anything useful on the internet, so I am asking you guys. Thanks in advance for your ideas!

Hi Basically I noticed a huge frame drop on fortnite after playing a bit. Usually I get like 120-200 fps and after playing like some time (not constant, seems to happen at random times) the frames drop to unplayable 40 fps. I'm pretty sure the gpu core clock has something to do with it. Since I'm running a 7970 ghz edition it's core clock should be 1000. But if I had afterburner and gpuz opened, both told me that whenever my frames dropped to 40 the core clock also dropped to 501 mhz and it never goes back up again. I've tried uninstalling msi afterburner and reinstalling video drivers. I've also tried messing around with different game settings but nothing seems to work as of now. I don't understand how the core clock can be locked at such a low speed, is it thermal throttling (the thermals get up to 97 degrees and it's locked at 100% usage) or something else? Tweaking the clock speed in afterburner also doesn't make a difference (the actual clock speed doesn't change regardless of what I'm setting it to). Any information would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

So my issue is kinda odd and hard to find to many other people that have the same issue. Most games like Fortnight, Overwatch and Call of Duty seem to lock my fps at a specific fps.. Fortnight locks it at 120 and Overwatch locks it at 60. If i set the fps limit lower then that it will lock it correctly, but if I set it higher it still only goes up to that fps. Oddly this issue only happends in Fullscreen or Borderless Windowed mode and goes away when I switch to windowed mode. It seems like it should be the other way around and I am not sure what is causing it.. I have ensured that in all game settings and in Nvidia Control panel settings v-sync is set to off. I am using Windows 10 and I have a GTX 1080 if that is at all relevant. Currently I have been using a workaround by using a software called "Windowed borderless gaming" Which allows me to run the game in windowed mode, but make it look like its in borderless windowed mode. While it works well, it would be nice to not need to use a 3rd party software for most every game. Any insight would be appreciated Edit: So it seems the issue is because I have a second monitor that is 60hz. Any way I can fix this so I don't need to disable my monitor to use fullscreen?

Hi, So I work as a part-time at a restaurant and we use tablet like devices to take orders. The system we use is like 10-15 years old and the company that produced the software is no longer in business. We need to edit data like delete any old items that we no longer serve and add new data. Unfortuanetly we can't do this from just opening the program itself. I'd like to know if there is a way that I can open and modify the DLL's themselves. If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it as we are kind of stuck here

Hi. I recently started using my old laptop again and I formated the drive. Now it won't recognize my USB stick with windows 10 on it so I obviously can't boot from it. I also can't change any settings in the insydeh20 bios/UEFI or what the hell it is. The only settings I can change is hard drive password... The boot order is locked too. Anyone that can help me?

I'm not sure where to put this, no other sub seems any more applicable than general. Could a member of staff contact me via PMs? I'm having some account trouble, and i'm not sure WindSpeed sees PMs send via the Contact Us button. Delete if wrong. Thanks.
