Is there a way to change the lock screen through a script? I want to force the same lock screen image on every user. I noticed one weird thing on my oneplus 7T pro device. At low or 10% to 30% brightness Lock screen background wallpaper looks weird distorted with the fingerprint security. without fingerprint enabled lock screen looks good at low brightness. I should preface this by saying this is a long post that has a lot of screenshots. For months possibly a year, I’ve been having an issue with certain apps where notifications either do not appear at all or are very delayed on the lock screen. Sometimes they do appear without delay, but it's very inconsistent. The delay can be anywhere from 20 min to 2 hours Often times when notifications don’t appear on the lock screen they appear as soon as I unlock the phone or open the app. The apps in question are Twitch TV and Discord. However WhatsApp and my Text message notifications never have any problems, I always see them on time and they wake up the lock screen. My phone is a One Plus 5T that runs the stock One Plus android OS. I should also note that I only use Wi-Fi and not mobile data such as 4G. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Things I’ve tried: There are a number of things I’ve tried which I will list here. I have no idea if it’s the apps, android or a one plus specific issue. If it’s a one plus specific issue I might be able to root the phone and install a custom ROM but that is an absolute last resort. A lot of people say OnePlus phones have overly aggressive memory mananagement, so that could be a factor. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

My windows lock screen blinks blue from any where from 10 seconds to 5 minutes once i start up my pc and i hit the spacebar on the lock screen. I think its either a problem with the gpu, monitor, or the psu. I have a 8600k z370 gaming plus 1060 3g 128gb ssd 2tb hdd 8gb ddr4 ram 550w semi modular psu hyper 212 evo thanks

I set the lock screen wallpaper, but whenever I boot this lock screen wallpaper does not show up. The lock screen wallpaper displayed is a default. If I lock my computer after booting up, it shows the lock screen wallpaper I set. Why is the lock screen wallpaper displayed every time I boot up is not the one I set.

I was wondering if anyone knew where to find the old windows 7 lock screen wallpaper on the installation disk. I am using windows 10 but want that image. I couldn't find it on google images at a high enough resolution. No worries if no one has the answer, but maybe someone has done this before? Thanks!

When my windows 10 PC is locked, only one monitor has a background while the second one is black. I googled it and found people say that there is a tool or a program for that feature, but I can't find the tool anywhere. If you know it please help. Also, is there a way to duplicate the main task bar to the second monitor? not just the clock and date, but also the running programs.

I hope this is the right section. Where to posts a out Android OS or customization in general belong? I want to have my notifications on the lock screen in white on black. Currently they are something like black on grey. I don't know of how to take Screenshots yet so I can't tell you what it looks like right now. (please tell me how) What are the possibilities for changing this? Is this simply to much work for a beginner just for some looks?

How do I configure Android so that when I receive a text message, only the person's name shows, NOT the message contents? "Show all content" shows both message & contact name, and "Dont show sensitive content" shows neither. I recently switched from iOS, and there was an option to have the person's name, but not the message. Device: Non-rooted Nexus 6 with N beta

Does anyone know how I remove the lock screen on Windows 10 start up? Or in other words, boot the computer directly into your desktop and not have a password on your computer? I kind of think it defeats the purpose of an SSD if I don't boot directly to my desktop (I know many would disagree). I know how to do this on Windows 8.1, you simply right click Task Bar ->Properties ->Navigation and check the option to boot to desktop. Now with Windows 10 the only option I seem to have in Navigation is "Replace Command Prompt with Windows PowerShell in the menu when I right-click the lower-left corner of the press WIndows key +X". I also tried disabling the lockscreen through command prompts which work either, plus I'd rather not be messing around with that stuff with a new OS. Is this option really left out?

A new Nexus 6 (for now) feature was just released, the device can now use the accelerometer to intelligently judge if the phone is in your hand or pocket so you won't have to enter a pin to unlock, it will know if you set your phone on a table for example and it will enable the pin. This is of course configurable and optional, just in case you don't want to give up security for convenience. Other smart lock features such as trusted places/devices which will disable or enable your lock screen based on proximity to a set location or for example a smart watch or other Bluetooth devices, which were released with Lollipop 5.0. Google is also rumored to be working on adding native biometric scanning into Android very soon which is a very exciting bit of news and will make phone security better and even more secure on the Android platform. Thoughts?

I use a surface pro 3 and have been unable to find a way to disable the sort of "wake on charge" functionality. Basically when plugging or unplugging the ac power the device will (after a few seconds) wake up to display the lock screen. I hate this, but have been unable to find any discussion on this or really even a good term for the function. Thanks. Edit: cyanogenmod calls this "wake on plug".

Preface: I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to customizing Android So basically this icon (which is supposed to be Chrome) just appeared within the last day or so, and I don't know how to fix it. See 3rd icon in Launch Bar (Android figure with a box). It doesn't launch anything, either. How do I get rid of it and get Chrome back there? For reference, I'm using Nova Launcher Prime for my home screen but HTC's stock lock screen. The Launch bar is as follows: Phone, Messages, Chrome, HTC Camera Any help is appreciated.
