Okay, this seems really strange, but I don't want to mess with hard tubing. I was wondering if it was possible such that each soft tube was straight but could be joined together with angle adapters to create a neat look. Like for example: you have a long tube going up and then an angle adapter and then a smaller tube connecting to the rad Thanks

I have an NZXT S340 and was wondering what cooling options were the best. I would prefer pre-built loops like Corsair's or NZXT's. Just wanted to know what you guys think, my budget is around $100-$150. Any help is appreciated!

So I have been browsing YouTube, and I was watching some vids of people liquid cooling their Intel PCIe SSD's. Can anyone tell me the purpose of doing this? It seems like a waste of time and money to me. I don't know if you can OC an SSD, but if you can, could someone explain to me how? Thanks.

Hey guys, I am building in the Fractal Design Define S and have some questions regarding the setup of the case's cooling solutions. First, you probably want to know more about the system right? Here's a link to the PC Partpicker component list: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/8cvn7h For those of you that didn't want to go look, I will be running an i7-6700K, Asus TUF Sabertooth Z170 S, Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming 1080 (Water cooled version preferably but I might have to settle for air cooled), EVGA 850W 80+Titanium PSU, 4X8GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 RAM, and all of that in the Fractal Design Define S. My question is if I am going with an AIO liquid cooler which should I go with? I am debating between the Kraken X61 (280mm Rad) (which I have already purchased) or sending it back to get a Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate (360mm Rad). I was planning on mounting the rad to the front of the case which I know a lot of people say is not okay but Jayztwocents says that it really doesn't matter. Therefore, is it better to go with the louder option of mounting the Kraken X61 to the top of the case (on exhaust) with three 140mm fans at the front (on intake), one 140mm fan on bottom (on intake), and one 140mm fan on the back (on exhaust) OR is it better to go with the Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate on the front (on intake) with it's three 120mm fans, one 140mm fan on bottom (on intake), and only one 140mm fan on the back (on exhaust), with the possibility of adding a radiator to the top (on exhaust) for the possibly water cooled GTX 1080 I would like to get? I know this is a really long winded question, but any information you might have would be GREATLY appreciated!

My old Antec AIO finaly gave out on me and I purchased a corsair H60 from a friend who upgraded to a H100i, I put on the cooler and quickly noticed that I was pushing temps of 66 Celsius at idle and around 85 at full load, some quick googling lead me to the conclusion that I had applied the paste wrong, I removed the paste re-applied after looking at some more guides and i'm sure that there is ample paste and I screwed the CPU plate a bit tighter but there was only a slight difference and I was still pushing 58 degrees at idle, 61-62 with a few chrome tabs open and about the same at load, I added an extra fan to the rad and still saw minuscule difference. That brings me to the thermal paste, the paste I used was cheapo nexxtech heat sink compound stuff because it was the only thing I could get in my town because i'm kinda out in the boonies, I've ordered some Arctic silver 5 from amazon and I'm hoping this will bring the temps down. I can feel the pump working so i'm pretty sure the cooler is not the problem. I'm fairly sure the paste is the problem is the paste but I would like a second opinion. thanks

Hey all, as of very recently, I’ve put together my new PC (http://pcpartpicker.com/list/BZLnnn). Now on a search for the best performance, dead silence, and taking a step up in terms of being an “enthusiast”; I’ve decided that I should step up and buy a custom water cooling loop to replace my Corsair H60. Naturally, as I love the look of EKWB parts, and have heard only good things about their quality, thats the first site I went to. After traversing the website, I’ve found that the EK-KIT P360 (https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-kit-p360) seems to fit what I’d like. SO, the first question is: Is this kit a good/frugal buy? Meaning, would it be worth it in terms of performance and silence for my CPU and GPU to drop almost $380 on the kit (not including a GPU block eventually). Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

So, I have a 5820k that I have tuned to around 3.7Ghz, which is a very very slight overclock for this CPU, at least, that's my understanding. The CPU is cooled with an NZXT Kraken x61 in a pull configuration. Now, what is worrying me is even at this overclock, it's getting over 80C during stress testing (AIDA64) and the fluid temp. is constantly above 50C. This does not seem right to me in the slightest, but I'd like a confirmation from other users of this AIO water cooler. I know about the silicon lottery but even my luck can't be this bad and it must be something to do with the cooler itself. Additionally, when I felt the temperature of the tubing from the pump to the radiator, they were both hot, which was shocking to me. I'd also be interested in what CPU coolers other people have and what they would recommend instead of the Kraken x61. Thanks for any advice people can give me.

Hi Guys, Just joined the Forum and decided to create a topic showing an AIO Tube replacement and using multiple old AIO Parts, I used the CPU block from a Seidon 240m, The 120mm Radiator from a Antec H20 Kuhler 650, Orange XSPC UV Tubing and a £12 Res/Pump from Ebay. I would not recommend using this in a system properly this was done for fun. I Repeat : THIS WAS DONE FOR FUN, I realize it might : Leak, Explode, Kill PC, Kill all Life, End the World, End the Universe. So please try to refrain from killing me its only my second post ! With that being said here it is :

Hello. I will be picking up a corsair 750D soon and I want some GREAT airflow on it. I am willing to spend 70-80 EUR on case fans. Recommend me some that are quiet and will get the job done. Also, I am looking for a cooler for my FX 8320E. I am between the NZXT Kraken x61, the cryorig h7 and the h100i. I really want to overclock it, but I don't know if those liquit coolers are worth it. Any other recommendations?

Hello guys!! I got the Enermax Liqmax II 240 a few months ago, specting maybe not a huge improvement over my Hyper 212 evo, but at least an improvement... I'm getting pretty shady performance Even getting as high as 79C in hot days, and arouund 67-70 in gaming! Also sometimes takes a little too long for the temps to go down after closing a game, idle temps as high as 40-45 sometimes... My cpu is a 4690k at 4,4ghz with 1.250v! Do those temps look normal? My case is not particularly good for airflow also, NZXT h440

So around the end of this year I'm probably getting myself a zen and the flagship pascal/polaris(or vega) card. A build from scratch. Should I get those liquid coolers like the seidon or that full system tube thingy... I don't even know what that setup is called... I don't even know how that works. Explanation. Please

so I have been wondering; I plan to upgrade my cooler master 212 evo soon to AIO liquid cooling (size 240mm or above). Gonna place it on the top (I am using define r5 case) and make a pull configuration to cool down my core i5 6600k. One question that I have been think is, will the air that pull out will also pull away the air that has been exhaust by my gigabyte gaming g1 980 ti? I thought that doing liquid cooling will do a much better not only on my cpu, but also help pull always the hot air inside my case. Thanks alot, looking forward to hear you guys thought. Note: I only do overclock until I got AIO liquid cooling. For now, I'm just gonna stick with stock

When looking to purchase a GPU with the intent of liquid cooling it, is there any point for buying anything more fancy than the reference version? Would the higher TDP of some of the third-party designs translate into a higher maximum boost-clock, or is it all moot when not using the stock cooler? Thanks for your thoughts, I've been wondering this for a while now.

Hey everyone, Just wondering if there are any major differences between the H110i GTX and the H115i, apart from the prices. Also, just as an add in, has anyone got some info on the cryorig A80 cooler? haven't heard a lot about it. thanks guys

This is a random idea that fell into my mind the other day. It's not something I would do, for the same reasons others would not; it's likely impractical. Still, it's a nice thought experiment. So the premise is as follows: Pressurized gas (like propane or nitrogen) is liquid and very cold, which is why bare metal gas tanks can be cold to the touch, sometimes even be covered in condensation. Liquid cooling is there to bring heat away from components and let the coolant via radiators dissipate the heat outside the case (unless you mount intake fans on your rads, like in the front). The idea would be to run metal pipes inside a filled, pressurized gas tank and let the coolant run through the pipes, possibly providing high heat dissipation. Naturally with sub-zero liquid gas like nitrogen, it might be a good idea to have an anti-freeze in the coolant, like LTT did with the whole room watercooling loop. So, what are your opinions? Again, it's just a theoretical question and thought experiment.

So, I've had some issues and errors recently in regards to my cpu temperature. I've had random shut offs and a single error message (cpu heat error), so I decided to open up the comp and check it out. I have a corsair h60 closed loop liquid cooler. I tried removing the cooler from the cpu, but I ended up accidentally yanking the cpu put of its socket, since it's stuck to the cooler from super hardened thermal paste! (I've had the same cpu and cooling configuration since about 2012, qnd never replaced the thermal paste, so that can explain why this happened.) I've attached a pic of the cpu/cooling block, if that helps. I don't know how to separate the cpu and the cooling block safely. Pls help!

I will be getting the new i7 6700k, i won't be planning to overclock yet but I will in the future, I will do a lot of gaming and video editing. I want my cpu to run cool and my rig to last 5-6years. Which do you guys think is better? Liquid or air? It's liquid really worth the money and risk over air cooling? Also I care about the appearance of my rig. Also do you guys have any recommendations? Please leave a link. Thanks

I had an idea...I've been thinking about a liquid cooled rig for a while and I know ya'll are making stuff work in weird ways, so I thought, to save some $$ do you think it would be possible to use a standard HSF with heatpipes that go from one side of the CPU to the other BUT cut off the tops and take out the wicking material with like a metal hanger or something, and then add barbs to each of the pipes or just remove a few fins so that you have a length of pipe a tube can fit on to so that you can liquid cool it that way? I realize the heatpipes are much smaller than typical water cooling tubes of course so I was thinking you could get something with 3 heatpipes total for 6 connections (3 per side of course) and connect the three with 3 pieces of flexible tubing which would then use an adapter to convert the three small heatpipe size tubes to one larger water cooling tube (auto store or home depot plumbing section?). THEN for a rad use a car heater core which a bunch of people have done apparently in the past. The only thing you would need to buy then would be a pump and reservoir and I am unsure if a reservoir is needed as some of those heater cores have reservoirs on them. Two other things, I was thinking you could possibly use a cheap aftermarket fuel pump as a pump (not sure though because they are 12V with only two leads, no sense or control, I think) and mineral oil as the coolant (does that work)? It would be ghetto as fuck but if it worked it would use a typical HSF that is pretty inexpensive and so no waterblock required, it would use the HSF fan as well as the rad and fans there so, sort of a dual solution with some redundancy if something failed, and some automotive parts that are really easy and cheap to get at any auto parts store. The mineral oil idea would simply lubricate the pump and IF it leaked it would NOT cause any damage to components (has this been done before? it seems SO obvious as a solution IF it can carry as much heat away as water?). I would try it all myself but I only have one rig because I'm a broke ass teacher in Turkey (making me even more broke than when I was in the States) and I cant afford to fuck something up. Also I am using an HP Z600 with a pair of X5660's and EVERYTHING is proprietary including the fan plugs and stuff so it would take a ton of fucking around. Anyways I thought if anyone might consider trying it yall would. If you wanted I could make a diagram of what you mean, Im actually a mechanical engineer so I can draw some shit up if you aren't sure what I mean. BTW you guys are awesome, I check out linus videos all day long and they're fantastic. Anyways I love doing this stuff I just don't have the money to do it myself anymore so, I am living vicariously through you!!!

Hey guys, I'm planning on making a 6700k build (mobo and all). I have an original Cooler Master Cosmos (yeah, the one from like 2006) and I'm planning on upgrading to a Corsair 900D case. I feel I wouldnt be doing this build justice if I didn't plan to liquid cool it but I cant really find what it is I personally am looking for. All the liquid cooling kits seem to lack heart, but searching myself for the perfect this or that without really knowing whats good or bad isn't helping much. At the moment I just need to cool my cpu but I want to be able to add a 1080 to the loop once it A) comes out and B) gets a block. The 900D has plenty of real estate for rads so I was thinking something like a 420mm or 480mm rad (hell maybe even 2 if itd help for the gpu). Money isnt much of an issue for this build but I am a fan of price per performance so I'm not just gonna get something because its more expensive. While this is my first liquid cooling project I know my way around these kinds of things and am not worried about the risks or challenges associated with pumpin water (inb4 its not water) through my comp. Tl;dr, new build in a 900D, need advice on setting up my first liquid cooling build.

Hello! I'm pretty new here so let's make it fairly short. I've been searching for a possible AIO GPU cooling for my gtx 970 g1 from gigabyte, but not sure if the AIO is combatible with the gigabyte custom pcb. I can't find any information The AIO solution i'm looking at is the ID-COOLING Frostflow 240g Thanks for answers!
