Hello. So I'm adding new case for my PC my first gaming case something standard simple regular. Well I was stalling my fans which were very weird they had the power connector and then they had like a two pin thing that didn't connect with anything in my motherboard. The problem came when I was stalling my master cooler liquid cooling system not 240 mm radiator. I finished connecting everything turned on the PC without making my cable management noticed that I didn't place the fans the correct way so I had to make changes, disconnect everything and put everything back in and took me the whole day because after I connect everything back it wasn't turning on the screen or turning on properly. I believe I burnt everything because The Cooler Master AI old I purchased brings a little controller which I connect everything as the tutorials in YouTube but didn't change the left the LEDs for some reason. So my dumb head thought okay my motherboard has a LED header so I assume the Le header that is on the controller must be compatible with the one in my motherboard so I connected and all the sudden it smelled burnt. I tried to connect the motherboard again I try with another CPU I tried the same CPU with another motherboard vice versa I managed to have it turned on with my old motherboard and then when I try to build everything again with my old motherboard it didn't work anyways I'm not sure if it has to do with the power supply or anything because I tried my old motherboard with the same ram same graphics card same everything and it did work and then it didn't Motherboard: Tuf z390 plus wifi Ram: 16gb Powe supply: 500w GPU: rx570 Pls help. Things i tried. -Reset bios by Removing the CMOS battery -Clear CMOS jumper -Used a different RAM -Unplug and plugged everything over and over. -Tried without GPU since my cpu have intergrade graphics

Hi, I haven’t been here for a while, but I would like to get some advice regarding where I should mount CPU AiO liquid cooling radiator. I’ve started gathering parts, since I’m waiting for 4080 Super release, I’m buying stuff one by one when some good deals appear, but to the point - I bought Corsair iCUE 5000X and HX1000i already and I’m planning to buy iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX or something similar (most probably 360mm anyway) and my question is - what would be the best spot for the CPU AiO radiator, in 5000X it can be installed in one of three different places 1. front - IMO not preferable option since CPU heat would be blown on other parts like RAM, GPU and MOBO 2. top - seems reasonable since warm air elevates - but in this case opposite to option 1. warm air elevating from other parts like MOBO and GPU would contribute to higher temperature in the radiator hence whole AiO and CPU 3. side (5000X has a vent parallel to mobo, right angle to the front) - shouldn’t directly contribute to rising other parts temperature nor the other way round - but I wonder if this wouldn’t obscure the general airflow and “consume (redirect)” too much of the “fresh (cool)” air which was supposed to come from the front to the GPU, MOBO etc. If I will not go with the 3rd opinion, I’m planning to install 3 fans on the side went the way they would blow fresh (cool) air into the case. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/pc-cases/cc-9011212-ww/icue-5000x-rgb-tempered-glass-mid-tower-atx-pc-smart-case-black-cc-9011212-ww Thanks in advance for your help! Have a Happy New Year! P.S. Other parts I’m planning to buy - please feel free to let me know if you see something “doesn’t click”. - i7 14700K (not F because I want emergency graphics or a signal source for second monitor (to see TS/Discord/Browser or something similar while gaming without losing FPS on the main screen)) - MSI Z790 MPG CARBON WIFI (maybe MAX) - Corsair DOMINATOR (probably Platinum) DDR5 6400MHz 32CL 32GB - RTX 4080 Super (most probably MSI GAMING X TRIO) - 2TB PCIe 4x4 SSD (Samsung 990 Pro or similar level WD Black I think) - maybe some additional 140mm or 120mm Corsair FANs - and maybe some single-sleeved braided PSU cables (Original Corsair or Cablemod) Thanks again!

I want to build a sff pc with the Lian Li A4-H2O with a i7 13700k and a 4070. The case only supports up to a 240mm rad, and I've heard the 13700k runs hot. Is a 240mm AIO going to be enough cooling? Part of workload is 3D renders and video editing so it could be under heavy sustained loads a lot.

Good day, everyone I am a complete amateur, building my first-ever pc with the money I painstakingly saved and I hope to liquid-cool both my intel i9-13900KS and msi suprim x 4090 gpu. I planned to configure them using corsairs configuration tool but then learnt that they do not have a waterblock for my gpu. However, EK does. But, I worry if it will be compatible with corsairs cooling solution involving their pipes, pumps, reservoirs, radiators and fittings. I hope to have your recommendation betwen hardline and softline tubing as well (for lack of a better word). May I have your keen guidance, as far better and experienced builder that I hope to be? I would like to know if EK quantum vector 2 waterblock for Msi sprim x 4090 gpu will be compatible with corsairs cooling products and solution. For your reference, I am building this in a corsair tower case.

Good day, everyone I am a complete rookie who has finally saved enough money to build a baller desktop computer (in hopes to future-proof for at least half a decade). I am using a z790 motherboard, intel i9-13900KS cpu, 2 m.2 SSDs, 32GB teamforce ddr5 ram, msi rtx 4090 suprim x gpu and plan to water cool them both with 3 radiators and multiple fans. For now, I will be connecting the desktop to my TV since this fool is now too broke to buy anything else (yup, I hear you!). Hence, may I humbly request for your guidance as more experience PC-builders, as to what PSU might be the best to aquire for such a build? My initial gut feeling was around 1500 - 1600W with atx 3.0 (which I belive natively supports 12VHPWR for rtx 40 series gpu) but I am unable to find a good psu with those specifications? Please help this foolish amateur to build a needlessly expensive PC by suggesting a good PSU with enough headroom even after accounting for all the components and peripherals, just in case!

Hello All, I'm new here and never post topic so I apologize for anything missed. I've been looking all over for a Crosshair VIII Hero monoblock and cannot find one anywhere. EKWB seems to be out of everything always (or no longer making) and I don't know where else to look really. Google is not helping and it is the only thing left to make my liquid loop perfect. Am I trying to find this in vein or is there hidden treasures out there I am not seeing?

So I had a real pain in the butt issue with my new NZXT kraken z53 AIO cooler as the radiator fans were ridiculously wayy too loud. But I found a way to fix it when i checked the cooling settings from silent to fixed it stopped going crazy. So can someone tell me what the difference between Fixed and Silent mode is ? VID-20221220-WA0015.mp4 Also don't worry, this cooler is just not displaying the correct cpu Temps at all for me idk why.

Does anyone have any recommendations for liquid cooling a prebuilt ROG GT15CF? As far as I can tell the case is going to prevent me from using a larger radiator, but if anyone has suggestions on making one fit in the existing case that would be awesome! Hello eveyone! I'm planning a build in a Fractal Design Define 7 with an Arctic Liquid Freezer 280mm mounted in the front. Now I am unsure of these questions: Will I be able to place the radiator high enough so that the highest point in the loop isn't the pump? Also: Will this AIO be enough to cool my 5800X3D? The fan configuration I think of would be three inward fans at the front (Two of them on the 280mm radiator, mounted as high as possible), two exhaust fans at the top (towards the back), and one back exhaust fan. All fans would be NF-A14, with the option to keep the included arctic fans on the radiator.

Hi there! I recently noticed that one of my radiator fans were not spinning, so I restarted my computer to see if that would fix the problem. To my surprise, it did. But then again, I noticed that the fan started to make a weird clicking noise. My question is; should I replaces the radiator fans? or the whole liquid cooling kit instead? I was wondering just how much better would it be to cool a PC with liquid metal and full liquid cooling compared to cooling a PC with termal paste and air cooling? For simplicity sake, let's say this theoretical PC has a RTX 3070 and and Ryzen 7 5700X. When air cooled, the pc would be in the most realistically ideal senerio for air pull, the liquid cooled pc would also be in a realistically ideal cooling situation. Just so you know, I don't know much about liquid cooling. I just wanna know how much better it could theoretically be.

I just bought a Galahad 240mm and i’m desperately trying to lower the cpu fan speed. It spins constantly at 3200 rpm even when idling and it is too noisy. Amazon said the fan had a max speed of 1900 so i’m still trying to figure out how it suddendly became 2/3 higher. Maybe that was referred to the pump itself and not the pump fan? i have no idea, but they surely should have said that. Honestly i don’t even know if the pump speed and the cpu fan speed are the same or if they are separated since in the bios there is both a “aio pump” and a “cpu fan” but some people treat them as the same thing. I tried changing the speed in the BIOS but nothing happens. i tried changing the speed in msi afterburner but nothing happens. i tried changing the speed in ai suite 3 but the program says the cpu fan has an adjustability of 0% (a range that goes from 3200 to 3200 rpm). I already had to send back my capellix cause it was even louder at much lower fan speeds, but this too noisy as well. My only hope is a post on reddit of a year ago where someone said they managed to lower it to 60% or even 40% of the full speed and the fact that this is possible is supported by one of the people in the comments saying that lian li support told him the fan should always stay at maximum speed.

So I am in the midst of planning my first custom loop and research/feedback online has me paranoid about having enough radiator space. I did not invest in cooling components to get the same or worse thermals and noise. So I ordered Hydro x kit with xd3 pump, 9 1,500 rpm fans, a cpu block and gpu block. I also invested in 2 360mm (30mm thick) rads and one 240mm (30 mm thick) rad. All together my loop will have about 960 mm of 30mm thick rad space. Can I expect better temps and noise for my cpu and gpu? or is more rad space necessary? If anyone has a similar build your thermals would give me a good base line. Hard to know what is good enough. I really appreciate any feedback. For reference here is my current cooling setup: Gpu: 3080ti strix stock air cooler cpu: i9 9900k. Corsair H150i pro 360mm aio.

Hey everyone, So i've recently built a pc with a ryzen 5 5600X currently i'm using the stock cooler but i'm planning on changing the stock wraith stealth cooler to get better temps. I'm trying to decide if i should go for an air vs liquid cooler. I wanted to know if the drop in temperature justifies the price of going from a budget ish air cooler to a 240 mm aio. I'm currently living in egypt so i'll share some options available to me and their prices. So for air cooling i was considering something like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED Turbo ARGB which costs 1290 egp which is equivalent to 82.13$ If i go for an aio i would consider the lian li galahad 240mm or the cooler master ml240 illusion which both cost around 140$ on average where i live. I wanted to know if the price increase from air to liquid is worth it for the extra cooling or not, and if possible what kind of cooling performance would i be expecting form both.

Today I was playing Far Cry 6 and for the first time my pc did a thermal shutdown. The only real change I made recently was I took it to microcenter for cable management because I couldn't be bothered to do it myself. after reapplying thermal paste and double checking my mount. I ran a quick cpu test from time spy. my results were pretty bad. So I'm thinking of just replacing my cooler, but with what?

lian li Finding the Ideal AIO for a ryzen 5 5600X
spiritshifter posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Hello everyone, i built a new pc as an upgrade from my older one. They CPU i chose is the ryzen 5 5600X , i decided to give the stock fan a go to see what kinds of thermals i'll be getting and decided that i want to have a lot cooler temps. I want to go for a 240 mm aio, and given where i live i narrowed down my options to two choices. Either the lian li galahad 240mm or the cooler master ml240 illusion. After checking a lot of reviews and investigating, i realized that the lian li aio performs really well for it's price. However i heard a lot of complaints about the pump whine on it. For example check this other post to get an idea about what i'm talking about. https://linustechtips.com/topic/1382232-how-loud-should-be-an-aio-pump/?tab=comments#comment-15055895 Although i'm aware that the pump noise can be reduced by finding the optimal voltage to apply to the pump, i wanted to know if going for the quieter cooler master aio in this case will also be a good choice for the ryzen 5. So overall i wanted to know if anyone has either of those aio's for the ryzen 5 5600X what kind of temps are you experiencing, and is there a significant gap between the performance of the 240 mm lian li when comparing it to the cooler master ml 240 illusion ? Bit of a brag, but here we have our original 7 servers we used as a test bed to completely be submersed. It has been a two year project but we've now fully tested and built out the servers to host our infrastucture environment delivering cloud services. Generally speaking, the servers run at 1/2 the temps of identical hardware in an aircooled rack. Doesn't quite look as cool as Lukes fishtank build (and yes, our cable management game needs upping) but the servers here are completely under liquid.

I was just unboxing my Gamerstorm Castle 240 RGB V2 that I bought 2 days ago as I am building second ever PC. There are clearly visible bendy fins on the radiator. Please see: https://i.postimg.cc/yNBxQ3R4/IMG-20210623-233721.jpg This is a cheaper aio. Replacing it will be a huge hassle for me. I like the design and i know this aio is very scarce in my country's market right now. My question is: how huge of a problem is the bendy fins if they are a problem in the first place? Will these bends cause problem in terms of heating? If it isn't an issue at all, I would like to keep the cooler. If it poses any significant problem, I will take actions to get a replacement immediately. Thanks in advance for helping.
