You certainly know there was a flickering issue with the G-sync before the 1009.3 firmware. Well there's another problem : Scanlines (horizontal lines that appear on the entire screen) issue. Hey guys! I was planning on getting a 1TB ssd to replace my 2TB hdd drive for long term storage, but when i was looking online, I saw alot of forms saying "HDD is the way to go". I couldn't find a video from Linus talking about this and someone may have already made a form on here (almost 2000 posts so hard to look through it all) but my main question is which is better for long term storage you do a full backup to once than never touch again (except for the odd times you turn it back on just to add more files) My original understanding on this is SSD is the way to go, since it's just memory chips and no moving platters, you just save to the ssd and you're good to go. ps - Linus, if you're reading my words, please help and make a video on this! Afternoon all, I’m hopeful that this is the right place to loom for information, but I’ve got a unique situation. I have re-engineered an analog stick cap for Xbox, PlayStation, and other controllers. Remember when you played the PS2 and your joysticks got sticky and a groove was carved into them by the controller housing ? My invention fixes that. My design splits the cap into two halves and places a radial bearing around the center shaft so that the bearing contacts the housing instead of plastic on plastic. No drag, low resistance, and smooth circumferential movement. I own the patent, and I am the sole interested party. I know the design works, I know there is interest, and it solves a unique problem, but I do not know what to do now. How do I move forward ? How do I market ? How do I bring my product to the market ? I’m great with design and engineering but I’m no good with product development. Can anyone point me in the right direction ? Hello everyone , I'm a huge fan of linustechtips , and have been Diligently watching and learning for over 6 months now , I'm in love with new builds , games , severs , and everything in the world of computers and programming, and just want to learn more and as much as I can in general......here's the situation and question......I currently live in San Diego and have been living on my 35ft long 21ft wide sailboat for the past 2 years , recently I have brought back to life my 17in rog gaming laptop which was collecting dust for over 5 years .(g73sw) mother board was fried so I changed the motherboard out , install 2 ssd memory drives and 2 8g corsair ram sticks and now everything works fine ......but I'm looking to make a new build for my self since my now 10year old rig is just not cutting it even with my novice upgrades....being on a sailboat makes things a bit tricky being a tech lover .....is there any suggestions anyone can give me to help me out? Hi, I recently removed my cmos battery and replaced it with a new one. I have also add more ram to the pc but after all this my pc would boot and I would see the windows loading screen and just before I see the lock screen the monitor justs loses signal for no reason. Please help as this is very urgent for me. I also forgot to add that the first time i booted the pc i saw a BSOD which wrote inaccessible boot drive and after the restart the problem started occuring. Specs: Dell Optiplex 780 with Seagate barracuda 1tb, Kingsmax ddr3 ram. these were the only additional parts i added. there is also a gpu that I dont know anything about other than that its AMD a very old radeon something.
