Hi everyone, So currently I have an msi h110m vh-pro plus inside my phanteks eclipse p400 (which has an rgb lighting directly connected to psu) I wish to improve my lighting system (which I could control through msi mystic light or asus aura). As far as I know my mobo doesn't have the rgb strip pin header, so I would like to ask is there a way to control rgb strips through other connections? such as usb 2.0 header? Thanks for the help!

rgb Shine enough RGB on something and you'll make it beautiful
Dylanc431 posted a topic in Cases and Mods
So I recently got myself a Noctua NHU14S and I have to say, it's really impressed me so far, and you know, people said it it would be ugly, I disagree because if you shine enough RGB on anything it will eventually become beautiful: -
Hi all, just finished setting up my wife's new PC in a Corsair Crystal 570x case. I've been having some trouble controlling the LED fan lights. Does anyone have experience with this case and know whether you can set the lights to a different colour other than the 7-8 preset ones? Seems a little odd if the 'RGB' part of its name really means 'RGB as long as you don't mind the 7 or 8 preset colours' Thanks for all your help!

Everyone seems to have some odd box or odd setup with their led strip. I just want some 30cm strip, that plugs into sata or molex, thats it, any recommendations?

Needs to be under $20 and I really don't want blue or soft white.

Hi. I have inside my case 4 UV LED bars (Nanoxia) + 4 single UV LED + 2 white leds on the waterblock + blue leds on some fans and Corsair memory. The problem is that the UV reactive blue water (EKWB) from my cooling sistem is not glowing at all! The side panel is a black tinted tempered glass. My first test, without all the leds and fans but just 2 UV LED bars was looking good, but now everything seems messed up! What do you think?

Whilst looking for decent RGB lighting while remaining within a budget, I hoped over to icemodz and saw this http://www.icemodz.eu/store/#!/12v-Molex-to-DC-power-Cable-for-RGB-controllers/p/51426650/category=6465331 which led me look at this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N4KIT9W/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A369PJ8OJAE6FI Thoughts? Does anyone do something like this or could supply me wth a better alternative if there is one? Thanks!

Hi all, This is my first topic so sorry if I put it in wrong part of a forum or something. I have purchased 3 ultra cheap strip of only red lightning for my case (red and black NZXT H440) and it comes only with 2 wires, one red on +12V and one black on minus (-) only. I was wondering how can I connect it to my case and what is the best way? I was thinking to put it into molex connector so I can plug and unplug each strip individually and not to solder second strap at the end of first and third at the end of second because maybe if its too much I only want 1 strip or something. Also I have pictures to see what I have and if I should use molex which lighting cable must go where to molex. I have never done this, that is why I am first asking then doing it Thanks guys

-5 pin RGB header on an AB350 GAMING 3 Motherboard -5 pin male to female connector/extension -RGB Strip 4pin female either end (Phanteks P400) I tried pushing the 4 pin into the connector and I think the pins started crunching and it felt loose so I pulled it out I'm not too sure what to do. Do I need an adaptor cause I can't seem to find one

Hi, I recently bought this : for my Titan X and will be fitting it early in the new year. I want to put 2x3mm LED's into the little 3mm holes included to light the block up : Is it possible to buy LED's that i can plug into the GPU itself (like the stock coolers "GEFORCE GTX LED) and let it control them with Nvidia Visualizer ? I would prefer this rather than just plugging normal uncontrolled LED's.

I'm looking for the best RGB Lighting Strip for my case, or to mount around my desk for a cool touch to my setup. Thoughts? I've already taken a look at the NZXT Hue+ and the CableMod Strips.

So I got a 480 about a month ago and i noticed two days ago the lighting was wrong. When the lighting is off the bottom of the card still glows green. It doesn't make red anymore, and if you put it on breathing it goes from Blue or whatever to green instead of shutting it off. I Have reinstalled my drivers & Aura, Does anyone have any suggestions? Here is a video https://www.dropbox.com/s/lr2s9jcytb5wyq0/video-1479621603.mp4?dl=0

As the title basically says: I have some nice EK blocks with red fluid in them and a NZXT Hue to light up my box. But now I am on the search for some nice and bright LEDs to give my blocks some extra lighting. First question: Red LEDs or better white and let the reed coolant do its job? Second question: Wich LEDs are the most bright ones? There are so manny brands offering them... I don't know what to choose... Annyone got some experience with that stuf? And I don't care if they have the 3pin conector or molex THX

I figure this is the right section of the forum for this kind of post. I'd like to add LED lighting to my desk. I'm not sure where or what are the best LED strips (in terms of quality:price:features ratio) for doing this. I don't intend to put them inside my PC. Just on the backside of my desk and maybe behind my monitor. Thanks for suggestions. I found this: https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/top-emitting/outdoor-led-light-strips-weatherproof-led-tape-light-with-18-smds-per-ft-3-chip-smd-led-5050/1622/ Which they look pretty good. Just checking if there are others I should know about. But these look good as well: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QAX8YPY

Hey guys, Im looking forward to get myself started with reviews on Youtube, focusing on large scale Lego and Megabloks construction kits. I did an extensive amount of research during the last couple weeks, but in some points I still couldnt figure out how to pull them off properly. So, I want to set myself a rather high standard right from the start, because some of the sets I want to do a review on, havent been featured on Youtube yet (or at least not in an enjoyable way), i.e. as the only one to do it, I dont want to dissapoint. One guy, whose videos I have been watching for a couple years now, "Jangbricks", is my main "inspiration" in that regard. Heres the link to one of his most recent videos: Within the first minute you can see THE single most interesting (and to me inexplicable... ) lighting / filming technique for me personally: The item spin. Now, for Q1: How does he do that? I mean, there is no visible transition from that turntable to the background. I have seen a couple videos on how to build your own turntable for photography, but they were always very small in size and intentionally left visible / standing out in some form. Q2: Might there even be a softbox or some other lightsource mounted under the turntable? Because there are no shadows visible beneath the vehicle. Or is this achieved with light coming in from a dfferent angle (like from the sides)? Ive seen specifically designed photography tables with some kind of diffuson stuff going on. Closest thing I could imagine for myself is something like this: https://www.amazon.de/Aufnahmetisch-Stative-Komplette-Studioset-Fototisch/dp/B00KXNIXKI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478610062&sr=8-1&keywords=lichtplatte%2Bmatt&th=1 Still no turntable though... (Sorry that it is in German btw) (Q)3: My choice of camera and lens. Sony Alpha 6300 And some sort of zoom lens for, who guessed it, zooming in, like the Sony SEL 55210. Constructive criticism, suggestions and other feedback is greatly appreciated! And everything else like audio, tripod and editing is pretty self explanatory, even for me. If I missed something, well, I missed it and will add it onto this post, if I can remember to do so. Thanks in advance! zocki5

Hey Guys! So I'm looking to RGB my case (currently red), My problem is that the only rgb strips available in NZ are Deepcool RGB 350's, which are only 300mm. I have Zalman z11 plus (http://www.zalman.com/contents/products/view.html?no=334) and I'm wanting to not only light up the internal components but also the top fins and if possible the front fan area. So I guess my question is can I use multiple strips and IR receivers from one remote? Any ideas? Much appreciated! - Samuel

I wanna make my rig neon pink af. Or maybe a soft pink. But I need those options! KappaPride Can anyone suggest me a couple of options for RGB strips or kits that would fit in a NZXT - S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case? Thankie!

So I have a NZXT - S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case, can anyone recommend some really good RGB strips I can put inside the case? Thanks!

So my glorious rig is about to be bought in a couple days and I was wondering what would be some cheap/best kind of aftermarket RGB kit/or even strips to buy for the inside of my rig. I'm using an NX3T S340, and here's the rest of the build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wCbX6X As for case fans, i'm not sure how many to get/whether to go with mounting the radiator to the top, or the front. Suggestions for aftermarket case fans(which, and how many) best thermals? (below 75c at huge load)

So basically, could I connect two Hue+'s to my system and have it work with its Cam software? I want to have two, because one Hue+ will only work with a maximum of 8 RGB lighting stripe. In my case 8 stripes won't be enough. So my question comes back to will two Hue+'s work with the Cam software, alongside syncing the RGB lighting for both Hue+'s?

First things first, I was in Colombia (where we use voltages different to the EU) and was powering my Palit GTX 970 using my KCAS 500W PSU and a generic PSU with the American voltages for the rest of the PC (which was pretty old using a 1st gen i3). It worked perfectly fine until a lighting strike fell nearby and although the PC was shut down it wasn't plugged off the wall socket and my GPU stopped working. It gave me black screen and wasn't recognized in the BIOS. The PSU seems to be ok and I still use it. It´s been 3 months and I decided to give it a lucky shot in my new PC and here´s where the weird starts: Surprisingly, my GPU is detected in the BIOS and Windows but ONLY when it doesnt have the 2x 6-pin connectors it needs connected (I discovered this because I totally forgot to plug them in the first time lol). Ive tried everything from using Molex-SATA-6pin and SATA-6pin adapters in case the 6pin from the PSU is dead and plugging them in every single SATA and Molex ports my PSU has to Drivers and searching 10 pages of Google. The card gets warm after a while in both cases so its definetly getting power from the PCIe x16. It also doesn't give any signal when detected. Device manager tells me that windows disabled the 970 using code 43 (I guess because of the 6pins not being connected) I've tried hot plugging/unplugging it and I've had these results: no pins to pins connected: The GPU stops being recognized by Windows pins connected to no pins: Nothing changes, Windows still doesn't recognize it no pins to pins but connecting the adapters to the PSU after plugging the 6pins: The fan suddenly goes to 100% speed after connecting just 1 (the SATA-6pin adapter) (I shut down the computer in panic) no pins to pins but connecting the adapters to the PSU after plugging the 6pins: Nothing happens and I believe I plugged the other adapter first (MOLEX-SATA-6pìn). (I stopped here not wanting to fvck anything up doing things with the PC turned on) The only thing I can think of is that the very 6pin connectors on the GPU are broken or burnt from the overvoltage caused by the lighting strike but that wouldn't explain why it stops being recognized after I plug in both 6 pin connectors or even just 1 of them. is it my PSU? is it something in the GPU? Am I missing something? I refuse to believe my GTX 970 is dead just yet. I hope someone can help me solve this. Thanks. I'm planning on adding rgb to the back of my desk and in my computer case. But why on earth are rgb extensions so hard to find without having to buy a whole new kit. One set I have are the kind you have to cut and and attach a new thing to it but I can't find the extensions for it. Any help? And I don't have a solder gun
