I m charging phone with this cable that have black on pins and it is charging and yet I dont have any problems. I just wonder if it can damage my phone port or something. Any advices?

Hey I appreciate this is a super basic question but my wife could use some advice. My wife works in a school and they are missing a power cable for the lighting setup in their hall, if it was my kit I would just say buy a power cord that matches the spec and hope for the best but they won't be able to replace it all if things where to go caput. I have posted a pic of the lighting board. Any advice on things to watch out for or real certified brands would be great as Amazon can be a nightmare for cheap knock offs that don't meet UK/EU safety specs.

Corsair K30 Lighting Animations
LliamCasey posted a blog entry in Corsair K30 Raptor Lighting Effects
Hello. I have just purchased a Corsair K30 Raptor edition (at least that's what I think it's called) keyboard in a sale at a local store. Although I had my heart set on a K90, my budget is tight and I would have rather put my money in areas concerning my actual machine as opposed to the peripherals. I'm well aware that the K30 only has the red backlighting and if I wanted RGB-esque customization I should have shelled out an extra £10 for the K40, however they were all out of stock when I got there and the deal on the K30 was just too good. I was wondering if there are anyways of my changing any lighting animations that can be seen across other Corsair keyboards. The software allows me to only change the brightness and use the one pulsing led effect so I was really looking for some third party software that would do the trick. Thank you Lliam -

I recently brought a new keyboard - Redgear Shadow Blade. The keys itself works fine. I haven't had any issues with it. But there is a media control knob and for some reason it doesn't work. The LED itself is fine as when I plug it in it does a somewhat showcase where the media control knob lights up. But when it loads in the preset lighting the LED in the media control knob does goes off. The preset doesn't seem to be the issue as the same preset used to work before. And I cycled through all the preset from their own software and it does not work.

Hey everyone, so i ordered all kinds of rgb stuff and installed them into my case.. but the problem im having is that most of it is very low brightness. G-skill TridentZ ram is very dimmed corsair and nzxt fans (except the back one i feel like) screen on my nzxt kraken z63 i have been thinking about adding another connector from my power supply.. but like i said my ram and some system fans have the same problem and they are connected to my motherboard essentially. does anyone have a possible solution? Any help is appreciated i also added a picture where u can see that the rgb cables and the back fan are a lot brighter than the rest of the stuff P.S. any software that helps me test stuff like this is also appreciated. I have my GPU in the bottom slot since in the top one i started getting artifacts. So I also have a slight feeling my motherboard is slowly dying… but no clue how to actually test that. The top pcie slot could also just be broken

my trident z rgb ram was fine until i got win 11 and now after multiple reinstalls it doesnt appear. even in gskils own software it does change. if you need more info please ask. thanks in advance.

so i recently installed an msi 3060 into my system. at the same time as this i installed windows 11. as i have an asus motherboard and trident z ram i was looking for ways to have them sync up. please note before i did this my ram had stop responding to rgb changes and just does its own thing. i downloaded razor synapse and got chroma control so i could link my asus products to it. after doing this my asus products work fine with it and does what i ask it. sadly my ram still doesnt change and my msi gpu only works on the msi mystic app. i turned off the feature that makes msi force control it but razor still wouldnt change it. its at the point now where even mystic wont change the gpu much. im sure ive made some obvious mistake but if anyone has any ideas please help me fix this. if you need any more information please feel free to ask me. thanks in advance.

For example my Aorus GPU remembers that I set it to Steady White after reboots and I can even uninstall the Software. The same goes for my Corsair Ram and Keyboard, I just need to make sure I set the "Hardware Lighting" and not the "Software Lighting" option. But my MSI GeForce RTX 2080ti does not do the same through MSI Center->Mystic Lighting. I can set it, but if I then reboot it goes back to Rainbow RGB until I start MSI Center. Strangely I even need to manually re-apply. My goal is to have my entire PC set to Steady White on all LEDs, and not require the software to be running. The last ones I need to change are the small led effects on the ASUS board, and the MSI 2080ti.

My girlfriend just bought me some new RGB strips for my computer and while in the past I would have just ran the end of the cable outside the case and use whatever usb adapter comes in the box, I was wondering if these Govee strips would be compatible with my motherboard or not. I have plugged in cheap strips before and they started to get hot very fast so I used the adapter thinking that it was because they were just cheap strips. The header on my motherboard is a 12v rgb header. I tried plugging the strip in, which has connectors on both ends, and while it didn't immediately catch on fire, it did start to get warm within several minutes. I cant find any documentation anywhere as to the voltage of these strips and I want to know if the heat is just due to not getting exact voltage or slightly different and thus not a big deal, or if, as I am thinking, keeping the strips plugged in will eventually kill them. The strips are the Govee Prisma 10, motherboard is an Asus tuf. Included usb adapter thing does not have any voltage information and neither does the strip itself. I am aware that this might not be the exact right topic section but I couldn't decide if this was a motherboard topic or a peripherals topic.

Hey everyone so I recently upgraded the built in cooler in my Deepcool genome 1 as it's 4+ years old and Deepcool isn't considered the most reliable brand. But while swapping things over I noticed something werid. The front LEDs that would pulse periodically were actually connected to the water pump. I don't know if they receive power or if it was a sensor merely to tell the lights when to pulse. I mateched the cables by color and removed the unnecessary 2 cables on the fan connector, and soldered them together. I am wondering if this will work or if im going to just overvolt something by using my ghetto adapter.

I have 12v 4-pin RGB headers on my motherboard, so I got this strip from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07YJLXTN4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 But the light is so bright, it lights up the room. I only wanted it to glow over my parts to add a bit of color, and I can't seem to dim it with software. It was also one of the shortest I could find on Amazon at 30cm, when I only really need <20cm. Could you recommend some lighting for just a subtle glow?

Ok so I have an older Mobo I am putting in a new case for someone they want RGB but the board lacks any onboard headers for such... I'm not really an RGB guy so I never looked for a controller that wasn't built into the board.. Is there any decent one that can plug into an internal USB 2.0 header to allow software RGB control for a generic case and fans?

Budget (including currency): Not important Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Web browsing/HD streaming, possibly some gaming. Other details: I currently have an Asus X-470 F Gaming motherboard, AMD Ryzen 2700X CPU, 32 GB G-Skill ram, Asus Vega 56 OC GPU, Corsair 850W PSU, and NZXT H510 Elite case. I'm looking for some help setting up my lighting scheme for my PC/desk. I'd like everything to be addressable LED's and controlled through the ASUS Aura Sync software. What I want to do is set up 4 fans (not sure which yet but I don't believe I can use the AER 2 fans that came with the case), 1 LED strip inside the case (30cm, 8-12 LEDS), 1 or 2 LED strips under the case (30cm, 8-12 LEDS each), 8 LED strips inside my desk drawers to be seen through the handle cutouts (20cm, 5-8 LEDS each), and lighting under the desktop and along the back of the desk (its a long desk so maybe 5 meters worth). Ultimately I would like to be able control all this lighting through the addressable LED header on the motherboard and through the ASUS aura sync software, but I'm afraid my project may be too ambitious. And I'm pretty sure I'll need an LED control box to run everything through so there is sufficient power. So here's where I'm lost......HOW?!?! I have some questions to get the conversation started but if anyone has a similar setup or has done something equally as elaborate with Asus Aura Sync or another lighting enviroment, I'd love to hear how you did it and see some pics if you have them. Supplies, where can I find them? I can easily find addressable led fans with control boxes (sometimes with one or two LED strips but they're usually too long for the case). But how or where do I find Addressable LED strips that I can cut and solder on new connectors. Where do I find the right connectors? Can/should I connect the desk lighting to a USB header instead and will that work with Aura Sync? If so, what are the limitations (i.e. wattage output or number of LED)s? If anyone has any experience connecting desk lighting to a mobo ecosystem I could use some help/advice. Thanks in advance.

I'm running 6 Corsair LL120 fans inside of a Corsair 011 Dynamic case. All six fans are connected to a single Corsair RGB hub which is connected to Channel 1 on a 2 channel Corsair RGB controller. The fans run lighting in a random pattern during startup, and then the LEDs shut off once Windows is fully started. The only way they will stay lit is if I open and run iCue in the background and manually select a lighting profile. It's confusing, because I also have Dominator RAM which runs its default lighting profile from power-up without a problem. I understand that LEDs can act strangely during startup (my headphones, keyboard, and MoBo LEDs all light up different colors until Windows boots fully), but not defaulting to a profile afterwards is frustrating. For reference my setup is: OS: Win 10 Pro MoBo: Gigabyte Aorus X570 Wifi Elite; RGB = RGB Fusion 2.0 CPU: Ryzen 3900x GPU: Gigabyte Aorus 2080 Super 3x OC; RGB = RBG Fusion 2.0 RAM: 4x8GB Dominator DDR4 3600 (XMP); RGB = iCue HD: 1TB Samsung EVO NVME SSD, 2TB Inland NVME SSD, 2TB Barracuda 7200 HDD Other LED: 1x Addressed LED Strips (MoBo RBG1 Header); RGB = RGB Fusion 2.0 CPU Cooler: NZXT X63 360MM AIO (w/3 LL120s) (CPU OPT Header); RGB = NZXT CAM LED Fans: 6x Corsair LL120 -> 1 six port Corsair RGB Hub (SATA Power) -> Ch 1 of 2 on Corsair RGB Controller (SATA Power); 3x CPU FAN header/3x Sys Fan 1 Header; RGB = iCue Other Fans: 3x Noctua Redux 120 -> Sys Fan 2 header Keyboard: SteelSeries Apex 7 TKL; RGB = SteelSeries Engine Headphones: SteelSeries Arctic 5; RGB = SteelSeries Engine SteelSeries Engine, RGB Fusion 2.0, and NZXT CAM, and my Corsair RAM all go to the settings I programmed. iCue is sincerely frustrating me with these LL120s. Any help troubleshooting or with the settings on iCue would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Guys, I was looking at getting some addressable RGB fans for my rig. I have 2 aRGB headers and 2 regular RGB headers on my mobo. I've used the one aRGB header for 5050 LED strips and it's worked great. The issue I'm having is that it seems that all aRGB products have a 4 pin WIDTH header with a pin config of 1011 (pin-gap-pin-pin). Both the headers on my mobo are 3 pin width with a config of 111 (pin-pin-pin). How can I connect it? Will I have to make/buy an adapter? Thanks, akosin

Hey guys, I'm looking for the connector that goes into the back of the hue+ and then goes into the led strip. It's the one that has two arrows on it. Does anyone have one? I'm willing to pay and cover shipping costs. Thanks, LordPugIII.

do those asus AURA rgb headers on the motherboard work with any old rgb strip? i have seen this page which shows ROG certified (bullshit marketing) products, but what is special about these cases that makes them ROG certified? im in the market for a new case and i do want the RGB stuff that the case has to be compatible with asus aura but i do not know what to look for in a case so it can do this. and completely unrelated to cases, what RGB fan's can be connected to an RGB header on asus motherboards? is that even possible? i would love a working uniform system.

I just ordered a NZXT S340 Elite in Matte Black to fit my current PC in. Thank's to everyone in this forum for helping me It's due tomorrow and I just noticed, I forgot to order lighting for the inside. I do currently have a light strip in this pc, but i feel like it may not stick as well if i remove and re add. Plus, if possible I'd like RGB For the purpose of changing colours when i feel like it. Anyone got any recommendations?

Hi. So I've been recently looked into modifying my MasterCase 5 Pro, and got a lot of recommendations on using the NZXT's Hue+ with the 4 RGB strips. And beyond that I was also looking to upgrade my case fans and thought the Corsair's 120mm ML120's would do justice for the build. But then I stumbled upon a problem. See, I want my case to be well lit as the result of this build, so I'd like to know, should I go for the ML120 which have white lighting on them, or should I just go with the regular ML120 without any lighting? Does the lighting of the fans have big impact on the rest of the case lighting? -Sebbyy

Hi everyone, So currently I have an msi h110m vh-pro plus inside my phanteks eclipse p400 (which has an rgb lighting directly connected to psu) I wish to improve my lighting system (which I could control through msi mystic light or asus aura). As far as I know my mobo doesn't have the rgb strip pin header, so I would like to ask is there a way to control rgb strips through other connections? such as usb 2.0 header? Thanks for the help!
