I really want to put a AIO liguid cooler into the build I'm doing for college but I am terrified that it will possibly leak everywhere and I am spending a lot on this and don't want to ruin it. Also, I need my computer for school because I am studying game design and 3D modelling so I REALLY can't have it go bad on me. How likely is it for AIO coolers to leak or break? Some reviews on Amazon really put me off getting one cause it shows the worst of them but I know how awesome they can be. http://videocardz.com/61005/new-amd-radeon-rx-480-3dmark-benchmarks Videocardz.com has just released 3DMark results for the RX (Radeon eXperience) 480 and 470 that they claim are 100% legitimate. These results confirm the common belief that the 480 sits between the 390x and 980 at stock speeds (at least in synthetic benchmarks). Hopefully we will see some overclocked results in the near future, to see just how far the 480 can stretch it's legs. Of note is that this is an 8GB RX 480 clocked at 1266/8000, at least according to Firestrike details. Also of note is that the 470 vs. 480 scores (further down the page) put the 470 just behind the 480 by about 3.6% in crossfire and 10% in a single card run, which is fairly insane. The 480 is clocked at 1266Mhz and the 470 at 1206Mhz (according to 3DMark Details). This would suggest that the 470 is a cut down version of the 480 (now confirmed), and might be the real price/performance polaris card. I was planning to buy a cooler master nepton 240m aio liquid cooler for my new pc. I've read a lot of forums and reviews about liquid cooling and people say its not safe and there are chances of leakage. How safe are all in one coolers (closed loop). Is there a risk of leakage? Should i go for an air cooler instead? Please help. Thanks

I have an extremely bad Handle leak, i'm using windows 10, and only run normal programs such as Skype, steam, battlenet, chrome, gyzao, teamspeak. Sometime after around 24 hours of up time my pc will have around 3,500,000 Handles in the task manager, and within 7 days well over 17,200,000 handles. I can't figure out what is keeping them all open because the windows 10 task manager doesn't allow you to arrange the collums by handles, do i have NO idea how to figure out whats leaking but its causing extreme problems over time.

Unfortunately it appears that Radeon Settings is pulling a Unigine Valley with the numbers. These Firestrike results may confirm that the earlier Videocardz results were from a slightly overclocked 480. There is nothing to quote. As with all leaks, they should be taken with a jar of salt. Some leakers may be using default settings, while other leakers may be tweaking Radeon settings to get higher scores. At this point we just don't know, and we won't know for sure until the 29th. (As a side note: "GPU-Z was updated today to support Polaris, which means if any leaker wishes to post a screenshot, then he/she should be using 0.8.9 version.") According to techpowerup, an industry insider told them the specs of the new AMD POLARIS GPUs. POLARIS 10 should feature a TDP of less than 150W, one 6-pin power, 32 compute units and a total performance of 5,5TFLOP (the core clock should be around 1,342 GHz, if there are 64 stream-processors per CU). POLARIS 11 should feature a TDP of 50w, PCI-E power only, 14 compute units and a total performance of 2,5TFLOP (and again, if there are 64 processors per CU, the core clock should be around 1,395GHz). R9 480/480x stream processors 2048/2340 There was always a difference in core clock between the full gpu and the cut-down version (remember the hd 7970 and 7950?). A full POLARIS 10 GPU should perform like this (if it is clocked at 1,4GHz) 2x 2340x1,4= 6,552TFLOP.

Every voting person I know is in here and as a responsible person I want to know how I can help mitigate this? Seeing all my information out there made my stomach hurl.

Hi guys, so i am going to purchase a 980ti within 2 weeks at most, The one i am currently interested in due to specs and noise is the waterforce by Gigabyte. I have never used an AIO before only air, i am currently using a 460v2 which i got shortly after its release, its still going strong on air and just now i am starting to hearing coil wine when i game, I am worried that if i go with the waterforce that while temps and the noise will be exactly what i want along with performance, the fear of a part failure or leak is worrisome and since i am the type of person that runs his Pc 24/7 durability matters alot, I want to jump on the W/C scene with my gpu first and later my cpu, but its this worry that gets me. ps. (I will ultimately have a skylake machine within 2 or 3 months max and will add the psu, 212, & 980ti to that new build) 1. How long are these AIO rated to last? I have stuck with air for this reason but if the change is safe and i can get say 4+ years with the card i would be happy with the AIO. 2. If i have a failure a year after use will they warranty it? (assuming no fault on my side obviously.) 3. Is this card supported by any aftermarket vendors for a custom loop? So SemiAccurate posted this image a few days ago in their article named AMD’s Wraith cooler is as silent as they claim : They suggest that some info about an unreleased CPU can be extracted from the reflections in the image using GIMP or another image editing tool. Would anybody give a shot at this? I'm familiar with GIMP but I'm not too sure how to proceed about that one.

Hi guys, just wanted some assistance because time is running out and i need to decide between taking my pc to my vacation with my cousins to make lan party's or have a boring vacation doing nothing but playing football alone because no one will play where i go . Im not sure if to bring the computer however, i've read quite a lot of people in random forums and this one and many say its dangerous and some say that its not, so im pretty confused for the damn answer, also the guys who say that is dangerous ofter refeer to custom loops and not to AIO's, but the ones that did refeered to high quality ones like the H100i for example (if i recall correctly). The journey will be 6-7 hours long on a Hyundai Santa fe 2012 (if the car somehow is relevant) and will sit very nice and put on the back. Hi, I was cleaning my water cooling loop with mayhems blitz part 2 and I sprung a leak. Fortunately the pc was not running just the pump. Mainly the gpus got wet. Now I'm wondering if I have to clean the pcbs or just let them dry? The liquid was a mix of water, blitz part 2 and some pastel coolant. Any help would be appreciated.

So my loop leaked and that's not good, But what's worse, there was a massive puddle on my graphics card PCB (or whatever it's called). I have the MSI R9 390x which has a backplate on the back with holes in it for some reason. I took the backplate off and decided to just let it dry over night. Now there's what looks like black stains on the card. In the attached file, the darker areas are the stains.

So i am using a lot of ram. 75% of 16Gb is being used and it keep climbing untill my pc will lock up and restart. I have had a cursory look around and updated my killer network drivers and such but with no success. Anybody have an idea of what is using so much of my ram??

For the past month or so after continuous use my computer's RAM started to skyrocket, and would only go back down after a reboot. Later I googled "Windows 10 problem with high ram usage after periods of time" and came to this post http://superuser.com/questions/949244/windows-10-high-memory-usage-unknown-reason This seems pretty much what problem I have since I have the killer network app and large amount of unpaged pool, I just can't seem to understand the first post enough, and the second answer isnt in depth enough for me to know what to do. Thank you in advance if you help me and my potato understanding of all this.

Hello everybody , I have a problem on my Windows 10 I use a laptop as my daily driver (Asus X750JN : i7 4710hq , 8gb Ram) I've noticed that sometimes the fan goes crazy . I've opened the task manager and i saw 20% cpu usage and 60 % ram and i've only had chrome opened. a system task is still using 600mb ram and 10 % cpu ( or even more sometimes) . I've opened the file location and the name of the file is "ntoskrl.exe". I've tried many things to fix it (update the drivers ,run malware bytes ,turning off the option "Show me tips about Windows" )but when i restart it after a while still the same usage Anybody can help ?? Thank you

Hi so I really need some help with some weird things that have been going on lately. I have a lot to type just so I tell everything I know and everything Ive done and I really hope someone can help. -------------------------------------------- Im not really sure when this starting happening but I noticed it about a week and a half ago. I would be playing H1Z1 with my friends and then a few rounds of BR later loading into the game would be SUPER choppy and laggy. After a minute or two of it being laggy it would kinda smooth out. Then at the start of the next round we played it would once again be super laggy. I look over at my second screen and see I have 320MB of free RAM. I have never noticed how much RAM the game used but that didnt seem right. My friend said it was a memory leak and so I force closed the game and Steam then I reopened them seeing if it would help. It didnt and my RAM stayed at 98% being used just sitting there idle. Opening anything was laggy and a pain. Restarting obviously cleared my RAM and everything was back to normal. I could play other games for hours and everything seemed ok. RAM was still kinda high (I feel) for idle after I was done playing games. I looked around for memory leak stuff (cause thats what my friend said was going on) and I ended up on a few videos about paging files (Linus's being one of them) So even tho Linus said not to turn it off I heard sometimes it helps so I did it anyway. It helped for about an hour into gaming then I had an error saying I was running low on memory. (I had like 3 or 2 Gigs free according to my monitoring) So the game ended up crashing after saying ok to the error. I changed the paging file to the recommended setting instead of the (let windows use how ever much it wants to) setting. I havent played any H1 since changing this setting but I was playing Garry's Mod and after about 2 to 3 hours I got another running low on memory error. Except this time when I got the memory error I only have about a gig or maybe less than a gig free according to my monitoring. This is everything that has been going on recently and everything I have done to try and help myself. It might be worth noting that I have read about there being major memory leak problems with H1Z1 but I found nothing about it happening within the past few months. -------------------------------------------- So H1Z1 is probably my main problem but it seems to be happening with other games. If anyone could think of anything that might help that would be amazing because its pretty much the only thing I do on my computer. (Uninstalling and reinstalling H1 didnt fix anything btw.)

Not really sure where to put this, but just some advice for anyone using an Alphacool Eisberg pump in their water cooling setup... So, about a year ago I installed an Alphacool Eisberg pump into my loop and it worked, it was fine for 4 months but then I came back from a week in Germany and a small puddle of liquid was sitting on the back of my GPU (luckily it survived). The pump unit had leaked. I then went back to the stock cooler for a while. Recently I RMA'd the pump and received a completely new unit from Alphacool. After less than a week the same thing had happened. On both occasions the leaks had occurred between the cold plate and the pump/res. I decided this time to just try and fix it. It turns out that the screws connecting the cold plate to the pump are slightly loose from the factory. Advice to Alphacool Eisberg owners: Tighten the screws on the copper that makes contact with the CPU, since I have done this it has been a month with no leaks used nearly 24/7. Note: it's a wonderful pump/res when it works, although slightly loud.

Disclaimer: The following problem only occurred for me at temperatures in excess of 80 degrees on my CPU. After ceasing stress testing and ramping up fans, the leak did stop. I didn't find anyone posting this issue when I Googled around, so I thought I'd share for posterity's sake. The Raijintek Triton AIO cooler began to leak for me when stress testing my CPU with my fans in a 'silent' mode with a side panel off. The leak is very slow, with a drop every 15 to 30 seconds, though I'd assume that it'd become more extreme as the temperatures increase. This issue should not occur in normal use cases. The leak starts right where the power cable for the pump comes out of the reservoir. If I had to guess, I'd say that the acrylic expanded in the heat more than whatever ring or filler sealing that spot did. I'd share a photo, but there really wouldn't be much to look at, considering it's just a Triton Red in a dusty PC with a paper towel under it. For anyone who Googled the product with 'leak' next to it, the other issue is that the liquid will vaporize over time, and the only way to replace the vaporized coolant is by taking off the 'warranty void if removed' sticker that covers the fill port. In my six or so months of owning the cooler, I've had to refill it twice to prevent air from moving through the loop. On the bright side, while my system was actively running, the liquid is not conductive, even giving the time I've been using it. My GPU is luckily, fine. Anyone willing to test the leaking issue, be sure to post if you had the issue. I wouldn't recommend you do, as I may have just gotten lucky that the leak stopped. But hey, if you have the balls or don't use it as your main cooler/old parts laying around, feel free. -

*Update* reset and downgraded to windows 8.1 and now im fine. P.S you might want to click on the image to get a more not blurry image when looking as well as CPU usage varries from 8% - 80% that confuses why such a influx with a i7-5820k Hi guys so today I was going to go play some Black Ops 3 (because I am doing a bet with a friend) and I noticed some major stuttering within the game till the point of unplayability. I need some help. I tried deleting my entire steam folder (bye bye 900GB worth of games) and reinstalling the game. Still nothing worked. I am attaching 2 screenshots. One showing the memory leak at its highest point and one when I just relaunched it after it crashed, and as I type its going up again.

My raijentek triton water cooler started leaking onto my GPU. I had noticed a gargling noise in the cooler when playing things like gta5 and battlefield I'm wondering if that is what caused the leak is when the cooler got hot the plastic would expand or something. I hadn't noticed the leak before and saw it after playing Gta5 the other day.
