Unraid KVM virtualised Windows machine unRaid Version: 6.9.2 ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. ROG STRIX Z590-E GAMING WIFI, Version Rev 1.xx American Megatrends Inc., Version 1007 OS version: Windows 10, 10.0, version 2009, build: 19043 (x64) Hardware: Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), QEMU CPU: GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900K CPU @ 3.70GHz (all cores are isolated from host) Logical processors: 12 Processor groups: 1 RAM: 32764 MB total GPU: EVGA 2080s Issue: I noticed recently in LoL that when I move my mouse Logitech G703 the FPS drops significantly, say >220fps to sometimes as low as 70fps. It seems to occur on any 3D animated window but only impacts that window if that mouse is moving over it. Lowering the report rate reduces the impact but it is still there 250hz is still 30-60 fps drop. Windows itself generally feels slow, opening explorer and so on. Idol cpu is 2-5% and RAM is very free when the problem occurs I've reinstalled graphics drivers and mouse drivers, tried different USB ports, wired and wireless. Any other suggestions? LatencyMon shows some spikes but nothing clear to me windows10_kvm.xml

Hello, recently I have been looking at upgrading to Bluetooth headphones. I have settled on a pair of Sennheiser HD 450BT. I, however, will not be connecting them directly my PC, but rather through the Sennheiser BT T100 Bluetooth audio transmitter so that way I can still use my audio mixer (Which has my PC, Switch, Laptop, and Phone hooked up to it). I was wondering if anyone would know about any issues with latency using this pair? The only reason I haven't gone Bluetooth before was fears about latency but I have decided to give it a try. Any feedback is helpful, and thanks! Hey Guys, So I Have A Problem And Would Like Some Advice As To Which Is Better. I Have The New ROG G17 With The R9-5900HX. So My Problem Is Memory Speed And Latency With Crucial Bullistix. I Have A Set Of 16GB 1x8 Rank 3200mhz CL16 Ram That Runs At 1.3v. Since My PC Doesnt Have XMP Or The AMD Equivallent, It Is Currently Running At 2666Mhz CL20. Since There Is No Way To Enable XMP, Would It Be Better To Go With The Factory Ram? 3200Mhz 1x16 Rank CL? Or Just Keep The 2666Mhz 2x8 Rank CL20?

Hi, I have Corsair vengeance Pro RGB 3200mhz 16-18-18-18-36 used to run on 9700K and get 52ms latency on XMP. I moved the ram ro Ryzen 5600x system and now getting 72ms latency on the same XMP. The 9700K was overclocked to 5.2ghz, the 5600x at 4725mhz. Also, tried to reduce RAM timings but are reflected, the timings are not updated as i input. Thanks

I have bought a DDR4 4GB RAM 2666MHz latency oF CL 19. My laptop is i3 6th gen 6006u, it was preinstalled with a hynix 2400mhz cl 17. Will mixing these speed and latency effect.my system or render my system dead?

I want to check if Google's or Cloudflare's Dns had better performance. My ISP's recommends Google's dns, probably because cloudflare isn't great here in India? Whatever it may be, Is there any site or way to compare latency or do any other tests between dns providers? Thanks

So I have been running with dual channel 16gb ddr4 clocked at 3200 mHZ with 22 cl for 7 months and recently I found that my latency is apparently really bad. I looked into it and it seems that having a lower latency really only benefits you if you are using programs like blender or editing software or playing at really high refresh rates on a 1080p monitor. Is there a good reason for me to pick up ram with lower latency like 16 cl for example if I am mainly just playing games at 1440p and 4k on my pc? Any frame difference? What about simple desktop use will I see a benefit there? I have an r5 3600 with an rx 5600 xt and I don't overclock.

Any idea how I'd go about lowering it? Do I need to tighten timings or try 3600/1800? The l3 cache number is because of win 11 from what I read, but memory should be around 60, or at least that's what I saw in other posts with similar setups.

Hi, I'm test my Ram latency and Userbenchmark showed 60ms latency but Aida64 showed 71ms latency, which one is more accurate? 5600X 4X8GB DDR4 3466mhz 16-18-18-18-34 thanks

I don't know why but my memory is isn't sinchronize with infinity. But in bios everything is as it should be. So I don't know where is problem. The latency is awful, but I can't improve it, even when I'm changing timings primary and secondary. It does not matter what I do. Here are some screenshots and photo from bios.

My ping is literally so high, I tried all popular DNS's and the best one is my isp default. I teleport in all online games. My ping is sometimes pretty good, then suddenly sky rockets in the high thousands. I'm paying for the 50mbps package. Latency not specified. Thanks

Hello, so I currently have an ISP issued router (Huawei E5186s-22a) and I have never had great internet. From what I understand I live pretty close to my companies cell tower so it all ways been weird. I used to get download speeds of only 1-2MB/s of internet speed, which was enough to watch youtube but seriously hindered my online gaming performance and download. Then I tried placing my router about 1.5m above ground in the middle of my window, and surprisingly late in the night I could sometimes actually get around 3-6MB/s, but it's usually still only around 1-3MB/s during the day. On the other hand, my ping is very random, sometimes it can go as low as 40ms but other times, especially when my parent's laptop connects to the wifi it can rise to about 600-2000+ms. Now to get to the point, im thinking of buying a new router and there is one on sale in my local electronics store. The router that I want to buy is Tp-Link Archer C80 and I want to understand if I will get better performance out of it? I am pretty sure that my house will get better internet coverage since from what I've checked on the internet in specifications the Tp-Link Archer C80 speeds are twice faster than my current routers (Huawei E5186s-22a). And the TP-Link router also has antennas which my old one doesn't. But could I get better internet through ethernet cable buying the TP-Link router? Also what kinda confuses me is that it seems like the Huawei router is more expensive than the TP-Links, so does this mean something or is Huawei's router overpriced? In summary: Is Tp-Link Archer C80 a better router than my ISP issued one (Huawei E5186s-22a)? I've also heard that ISP sometimes put restrictions on their issued routers, is this true and could it have been applied to me? If it is better is it worth buying the TP-Link Archer C80 router? Also, its price has drooped from 75Euros to 60Euros. The links i looked at for router stats: https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-c80/#specifications - Archer C80 https://www.4gltemall.com/blog/tag/huawei-e5186-specs/ -- Huawei E5186s-22a

Hey guys, I have the following 8gb ram stick installed in my pc, yall can see the specs in the cpuz screenshot I have uploaded. I'm planning on getting another stick of 8gb ram so that It runs in dual channel mode properly. Should I get the XPG ADATA GAMMIX D30 DDR4 8GB (1x8GB) 3000MHz U-DIMM Desktop Memory -AX4U300038G16A-SR30 which runs at cl 16-20-20 or should I get the G.Skill F4-3000C16S-8GVRB Ripjaws V DDR4-3000MHz CL16-18-18-38 1.35V 8GB (1x8GB) Memory Thanks in advance

I managed to buy a 5800x and a 3080, from all the components im only misssing the RAM, i had in mind 3600 CL16 but theres no stock avaible at a price that will fit my budget. I dont understand how the latency works and whats better with this new 5000 series, what would be better and why? 3200 CL16 or 3600 CL18 ? EDIT: Im in Portugal

Hello. I currently have a R5 3500X and GTX 1660 Super, with 2X4GB CL 14 RAM, only dual channel motherboard (b450m) I thought it would give me microstutters or limit my fps on modern games due to their heavy graphics I watched some vids on YouTube which shows 12GB ram delivers more or less the same performance as 16GB, and i thought 16GB is overkill so i thought about getting 12GB and i am on a tight budget The only problem is, I don't know much about rams and i have some questions i would like to ask Is it okay to mix different frequencies ram? Like, i currently have ddr4 2400 CL14 4GB, and i want to mix it with different cls and timings, let's say a ddr4 2400 8GB CL17 (for example) And i will overclock both to 2666 in XMP Will it run fine without problems like bsod or black screen when booting? i am fine with some fps losses, it's just i want to get rid of those microstutters.... Thank you in advance

Nvidia’s G-SYNC module hasn’t had a lot of love lately, but that all changes with new Reflex-enabled displays like the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG259QNR, which can tell you just how slow your game really is.

Hi All, not sure if there is an open thread if there is kindly put the link please I previously bought 1 stick of DDR4 3000Mhz 16GB ram when I built my new computer (I forgot the Cas latency but lets says its 15-17-17-35) since i planned to add another by next month or so Now I got the new same brand DDR4 3000Mhz 16GB ram but i noticed that the latency is different (lets just say 10 19 19 36) My question is how do i set this up in my motherboard settings (should I set the latency of the lower one? could i set it in the middle?) Your Possible questions: - Why did you not but the same set of ram: No options for latency to pick (it was same same brand but the latency was not advertise) Corsair Vengeance. I thought that they just have the same timing since it is the same brand and product. https://shopee.ph/CORSAIR-Vengeance-LPX-8GB-16GB-DDR4-2400Mhz-2666Mhz-Module-PC4-19200-21300-Desktop-RAM-memory-8GB-16GB-DIMM-i.167721774.5329181537 https://shopee.ph/product/436441/6735385892 - My (son's) Computer: Processor: Ryzen 5 3600 Board : B450 MSI bazooka plus Graphics: R580 4GB (miners edition, DVI output only) RAM: 32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX (difference CL) Storage: 250 NVme (WD) and 1TB HDD (WD) PSU: Deep Cool 500W - Why not return it? the process may take another 3 months or so with return process. just to be fair the new one has better CL timmings. the old one can't be returned or exchange. Thanks in Advance

Hey all, So I've preordered an RTX 3090 for my next build, which I'm looking to pair with the new 5900X or 5950X from AMD (I'll cast my judgement when I see the announcement). I've always wanted an all out gaming rig and I've saved up for so long, I can finally spend the money on it happily. Questions I have are to do with the memory, however. Looking at some G.Skill Trident Z Neo modules, probably going to get 4 modules because I want to see the full bank on the motherboard. Weird but you know how it is. So I'll either go with 4x8GB (the more affordable, probably-gonna-be-okay-with-32GB option) as opposed to 4x16GB. -Is there any benefit of using 2 DIMMs of 16GB over 4 DIMMs of 8GB, when installing memory? Faster access etc? (Is it worth the tradeoff of not having a full bank and never being satisfied with how it looks?) -I'm looking to get 3600MHz modules. but notice the latencies go up when you start to raise the frequency, unless you want to spend an unfathomable amount on RAM. I know we can't be sure how Zen 3 will react to memory speeds, but based on Zen 2, is it better to get something like a 3200MHz CL14 kit (14-14-14-34), or a 3600MHz CL16 kit (16-16-16-36)? Or does it really not make that much difference at all? Sorry for the long winded post but I want this build to have as few 'what ifs' as possible! Cheers, Rhys

Hey Everyone, I just wanted to post this here to help you guys fix your issue. I was very determined to fix this DPC latency spikes on my nvidia drivers and I can safely say that it is possible to do so. Now with that being said I wanted to explain it in a way that didn't sound quite like the same thing everyone else has been saying. Note: I did not use any driver trimming software. This is the latest driver with all bloatware installed. With that said the main issue is this: The Nvidia driver is just extremely sensitive to latency at any point in the chain*.* So the way that you tweak this to reduce DPC latency spikes is reduce the latency spikes of everything else underneath that is reporting. So what I did is disabled the nvidia driver in display adapters in device manager and then ran latency mon to detect all the other smaller processes underneath that were having issues. Using Microsofts Interrupt affinity policy configuration tool. The main thing i found worked best is separate literally everything off of 1 single core and let only the drivers get that 1 single core. Then program the SSD/Interrupt controller/usb hub/ display drivers/BIOS drivers. ANYTHING that shows up in device manager find a way to spread the workload across all of the cores left and try to make it as even as possible. Once you have done that rerun latency mon and see if your latency spikes are now higher on 1 specific core. If they are try to move around the devices and drivers until you find a combination that works. Once you have that done, THEN REENABLE the drivers and try again. Basically find out how the driver interacts with each core and it's drivers in the system until you find ones that don't like to be together or which ones like to be far apart. So for me putting my WIFI/SSD/INTERRUPT CONTROLLER/USB ever on any same core would cause the NVLDDMKM to have spikes in the hundreds of microseconds. But once I started slowly chipping away at the beast I eventually found a combo that worked and this was the results. DPC latency under 100 and as I am going further along my journey I'm starting to see only 20-40 microseconds rather than 70-80 or 100 I ran a 5 minute latency mon test and then a second 30 minute test with latency mon and posted screenshots on the ntlite . com website forums where this issue was also discussed for many weeks if not years at this point. So if you need any validation or example screenshots of what I am talking about feel free to look at the post or message me. Hopefully this guide helped you guys understand more about the issue itself and how to fix it. Feel free to reach out whenever.

So the situation is this, I have a 165Hz Gsynch compatible monitor @1440p but it woks at that refreshrate only when hooked up with a Displayport (HDMI outputs 120Hz max) I see that elgato solutions need an HDMI input... And as far as I understand none of them can output 1440p @165hz (also what about variable freshrate? ) Also as far as I understand their best product (4k60s+) has a significant delay when streaming (like above 250ms? ) I dont care to become like a "game streamer" but some of my close friends moved out of my city and now we like skype each other or what not to hang out but this gets a little tedious if our "sessions" last more than an hour and they do usually, because its not the same as hanging around in a bar or at someones place there are moments where there is silence or whatever etc. So I thought (since I am the only gamer, the other dont game but e.g when in my place they liked watching me play and brake my balls with every small detail they see which was getting into my nerves but I somehow miss that now ) that I could like play a game and have them watching and talking to me so me playing the game could fill up those intervals of silence that happen usually when we e.g talk to each other via discord or skype. The issue is that I would like to have as close to 0 latency (so that they wont ask stuff about the game footage they see that is in the "past" on my perspective and confuse me while playing like "oh you didnt pick up that thing!" "What thing?" "the thing next to the desk in that room" <--- which would be a room I already left etc) But I also would like to keep 165Hz and variable refreshrate on my monitor. Last but not least I would like to feed at least 1440p 60hz on the stream. (so having the device bypass on my monitor to hdmi is a no go) So what streaming solution (doesnt necessarily have to be from elgato) could work? Also would there be flickering issues if eg. I hook the GPU to my monitor via DP (165hz variable refreshrate) but the device (e.g elgato) to the HDMI (as a second monitor) since over HDMI the GPU could not give 165Hz feed? Last but not least could suggest to me headset with more than decent microphone and at least ok sound? Money is not necessarily an issue but I would like the best bang for the buck. Thanks

Hi guys I need a solid from one of you that have a nvidia reflex latency analyzer compatible monitor and mouse. Also I need you to have a PCIe 4.0 PC. I would like you to measure the latency you get (any game doesnt matter as long as its supported for reflex) when you set your GPU slot to PCIe 4.0 Then do the same thing (same game same settings etc same place in the game if possible) and run the latency check again but this time setting your GPU slot to PCIe 3.0 Then again the same thing but setting your GPU slot to PCIe 2.0 I dont have that gear but it is the only way I can think of to measure if there is additional latency involved when lowering down the pcie gen because I have a feeling that if you do that then the chipset will introduce additional latency in order to adjust the pcie clocks and what not so that the PCIe 4.0 CPU can "get" PCI 3 or other signals. Thanks a lot I hope that at least one such person exists and will try to do these measurements for me thank you
