Hey there, has anyone recommendations for stabilizers that fit in the vulcan tkl for standard keycaps? I´d really like to change my keycap's to blank ones, but those annoying rattly stabilizers are getting in my way. I´d like to see some budget options with an availability in EU, cause importing is usually a pain in the butt. Thanks for helping my out.

I have no clue how or when it started, but I noticed recently that my F1 key is stuck as left mouse. I noticed it playing CS:GO while trying to vote, and pressing F1 made me shoot. I have tried to figure out why but none of my google searches have come up with anything helpful. Does anybody know why this is happening. Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

Hi guys, Sad day as my current keyboard has started to die. I Currently have a Cougar Ultimus RGB with Cougar Red Linear Switches that i purchased in 2019 and Left Shift, z and x keys have stopped working. If i could i would be buying another ultimus to replace but alas, it has been discontinued. So what i am looking for is a replacement recommendation. Preference is a full size board since i regularly utilised the numpad in a few simulators. Defs want RGB, (Does anyone know if there are any keyboards that have a similar effect to the Vanish effect on this keyboard (Keys are different colours and when pressed they turn off and change colour on release)) Still prefer Linear Switchs over Tactile/Clicky Budget is roughly $150AUD (willing to go a bit higher for a good quality keyboard) I thank all in advance.

Goodday! I am looking for a wireless tenkeyless mechanical keyboard with backlighting, media controls and long range (2 meters max when using it in the living room) and I need your help picking one. So far, the only keyboards I found that met my requirements are the Logitech g915 and the razer Razer DeathStalker V2 Pro. I watched reviews for both keyboards and read several threads and articles about them but I still can't decide. On the one hand, the logitech has twice the battery of the razer and can still maintain its wireless capabilities even when it's charging which would make it the only choice for me but from what I hear the keycaps are the worst and not even close to the quality standards you should expect from a 200€ keyboard. There are cases of keycaps breaking or even the letters fading out over time cause of the awful paint they used. Worst part is that it's extremely difficult to find replacement keycaps... Is the razer a better choice in my case even though the battery is smaller and it cannot be used wireless when it's charging? I am also open to suggestions so if you have something else to recommend I would be happy to hear it! Thank you in advanced, Kostas

So i spilled a coffee on my keyboard and quickly got rid of all the liquid. Sadly some keys now stick and i cant use them because of it. Besides learning how to solder to remove the switches are there any other options? i saw one person soaked their keyboard in distilled water or isopropyl. Is there anything i need to know so i don't ruin this keyboard??

So a friend of mine posted the video to this campaign on a discord I am in and thought it was cool (she backs stuff from time to time, but not this) and I watched the video and something feels off about this, like the jargon and promises seem too good to be true. I did a little more digging and this almost looks like a scam. Now it has raised an insane amount from backers ($3.5 million at the time of writing this) but does this seem off to anyone else? and the price of the keyboard seems off too. thanks anyone that can shine any light on this either way, I may be too jaded from getting burned by other crowdfunded stuff to see the obvious. Hello, I would like to buy a new keyboard, since my current one is generally cheap and bad quality and the keys aren't very stable. I need something low profile with a short key travel, just like on my laptop and current keyboard. (but better in pretty much everything else) I guess it's fine if it's rubber dome but I think optical switches would be better. Tactile switches if possible. It needs to have the full QWERTZ layout, which means all function keys and a numpad and it needs to have the <<| key next to Left Shift. It's also nice if it has more than that, like additional custom keys or macro keys. I'm used to a key travel of about 2mm, but I have already noticed that most low profile keyboards have a key travel of about 4mm, which is probalby fine, but I have never tried it before. I usually think the shorter the travel the better it is, as long as I can feel the keys being pressed. I need an iluminated keyboard : red, purple, pink or if possible RGB, ARGB would obviously be the best. For now the Tactile Optical Roccat Vulcan Pro DE is the most perfect keyboard I have found, but since I don't know much about keyboards, maybe you can find something better for me. I don't know what my budget is, I want to get something good, but I don't want to spend too much on it, since I currently don't have enough money for a keyboard anyways and would save up for a certain one once I know which one I want to get. Can you help me?

As they were named specifically on WAN Show this Friday and are visible in a lot of videos I wanted to talk about my story with Keychron and why i probably will not buy another Keyboard from them despite liking their Keyboard A LOT about the past 1,5 Years i was able to use it <.<° I bought a Keychron K4 V2 in ISO-DE Layout (which is important as i'm a German i love my DE Layout and depend on my extra Large Enter button ) on the 30th of august 2021. And it broke 2 Weeks ago which is 1 Year and 9 Months later. To me this is already sad as i am an trainee and don't have that big of an income so i not only bought the keyboard but also the bag to keep it safe while transporting but additionally 1.5 Years is a very poor performance on a 100$ Keyboard that at all times was proteced and not thrown around or anything. So what happend? I checked the Keychron website "12 Months Warrenty" okay i thought.... sucks to be me then but it could be worth a try with the customer service. Also a friend convinced me that you could always have "monday models" and a second chance on another keyboard might run better. SOOOO i wrote the customer service: Email Newest to oldest (you have to start at the bottom and some are missing somehow): If you read through this, you will notice that: First: They call me Keychron. Thats because they generate the Response out of the e-mail adress i use. I Have a Catchall and use one for every shop i order from. They don't get that right 1 Single time. Second: They kind of drop in the mood of the messages and give very mixed signals AND seem to ignore a lot of what i write anyway. Third: I could have dealt with a "no sry won't help". But THIS is stupid customer service on another level not only did it waste my time it looks like even they don't know what they do. Overall? If i would have been able to get a Q5 for ~150€ i would have invested in another chance at this company. They do good products as long as they work but overall with THIS customer service.... UFF now i'm not going to and i will try to avoid giving them money again. So if Anyone know where i can finda a "Traditional 1800 ISO-DE Layout" Keyboard for any price with a decent quality and maybe a featureset similar to the Q5 i'm up to spend some money on it. Have a nice day everyone. Nex video_2023-03-23_23-25-04.mp4

Hey all, for the last few days I've been dealing with my peripherals (mouse, keyboard, chroma stations, mic, mousepad) power cycling randomly while gaming. I've turned power management off in device manager for everything, have a new 1000W PSU, and don't use USB hubs but can't find a solid fix. If anyone has absolutely any ideas, I would very much appreciate it.

Hi everyone! My name is Dylan! I purchased a GMMK Pro TKL barebones set from Microcenter a little under 2 months ago and built myself a custom board! I wasn't planning on making the purchase, but a friend and I had planned our first trip to Microcenter after seeing everyone rave online at how crazy their store was. We made the trip just a few days before my birthday, and they only had a single ice white gmmk pro and a single polycarbonate plate in stock. I took it as a sign and bought them. (For anyone who cares, I have the ice white barebones with a polycarbonate plate, durock v2 stabs, and nk creams switches! keycaps are an inexpensive set of dye-sub PBT caps but I want to upgrade to a nicer set soon!) I had some issues right out of the box where some switches (b, v, and ?) really struggle to register when pushed. In the beginning, I'd say 65-70% of the time it would register. Now, the keys listed above and a few others REALLY struggle to register their key press. At this point in time, I have to press the "b" either 10 times or, or press it extremely hard to get it to register. I don't know everything, but I have enough keyword knowledge that I was confident I could figure it out! First, I swapped switches. Figured that was the easiest option! All switches I put in each socket appeared to have intact pins, and I even tried different types of switches. No luck Next, I tried reinstalling all the software for the board. Despite the frustrating software, I managed to reset the board internally and reinstall the current version of the software. No luck. At this point, I had tried about all I could without taking the board apart. It was time. I disassembled the board and took a good look at the pcb. From the beginning I had suspected the soldering on the hotswap sockets to be loose. Maybe I didn't notice when building the board and when putting in switches I popped them out? No. The PCB looks perfect! Not a hair of solder out of line. This is where I turned to Glorious for help. I explained my situation and they had me run through a few more troubleshooting steps before accepting defeat. Their original response to me was to contact Microcenter for the return due to my purchase being from them. Understandable. Because I was contacting Microcenter after their 30 day return policy, it was explained to me that my only option was to drive to the location I bought the product at (not very close to my apartment) and attempt to convince the working store manager to allow me to make the return. I don't know about yall, but driving over 90 minutes to convince someone I received a defective product was not something I was looking forward to. Luckily, Glorious was kind enough to honor their warranty after I explained my frustrating interaction with Microcenter. At this point (sorry i know you've been reading my life story) I am being sent a replacement board. However, I don't want this one to go to waste! I will be reusing stabs, switches, keycaps... but the barebones kit is rendered useless due to the partly broken PCB. I have contemplated a few options to attempt to give it some life... I could do and resolder the hotswap sockets to see if that fixes the switches... would that be worth purchasing a soldering iron to attempt to do? If that does not work, is anyone aware of an aftermarket pcb I can buy that will be close to the size of the one for the GMMK pro? This TKL layout has some offsetting for media keys and arrow keys so it's definitely not a standard size! Glorious does not sell their PCB alone, and told me the warranty would be voided if I attempted to solder. I have a friend who would be so grateful to receive this currently faulty board if I can spend some time and money to get it to work! Any suggestions would be WONDERFUL! Thanks!

I have a Dell laptop i bought for a cheap, there's no issue with the keyboard in itself but there's a strange problem with its behavior. Sometimes when i type on it, it works fine, it translated and shows what i pressed correctly. But then it doesn't and shows random gibberish (see picture) I thought it was a virus so i did a fresh install but the problem still persist. I also tried a USB keyboard but it behave the same way. Tried keyboard test app too and there's no issue with it like stuck/shorted keys. Tried messing with the keyboard settings e.g language, layout, etc still nothing What could be the problem? Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone, Looking for advice & suggestion for my wife's home office, where we wish to add her own PC to supplement her work laptop. Usage will be casual so MSOffice, browsing and maybe some light gaming like What Remains of Edith Finch (so no 3D intense FPS yada yada ). Looking at a NUC-format for cosmetic reasons. Current setup: Samsung CH890 Monitor Microsoft Bluetooth Desktop She just gets home, uses the USB-C cable from the monitor and voila: power & display. The kb/m just reconnect. The goal is giver her simplicity without adding cables and gear as much as we can avoid it. So I was thinking to keep the USB-C for the laptop, using the DisplayPort for the new PC. The kb/m kit we can replace as it's not "multi-device" and re-pairing is annoying. Was thinking a MS or Logitech kit with it's own adapter for both, connected to the back of the monitor, and when she powers one device on it takes over the peripherals. Any blind spots in this gameplan? Any better ideas? Trying to avoid a KVM switch if I can really. Thanks!

My laptop's keyboard has been acting up for a while now. Some of the keys don't work. I've tried cleaning the keyboard and needed clarification on whether it's a software or hardware issue.

Hey all, so I just wanted to ask a quick question about peripheral power on startup. Usually when the Windows login page loads, my peripherals immediately power on and are ready to go. Now, it takes something like 20-30 seconds for them to power on at that point. Could this be an issue with the PSU being insufficient or aging? A BIOS setting? I recently upgraded my cpu and changed some settings, but this issue didn't start until recently and that was over a month ago. I couldn't find any other posts about something this specific, so hopefully someone has some wisdom to share here. Thank you. Specs: OS: Windows 10 Pro v.22H2 build 19045.2728 PSU: Aresgame AGV650 650W 80+ Bronze (installed Oct. 2021) CPU: i7 11700k w/ 92mm air cooler GPU: Zotac OC 3060 12gb (Afterburner & ReBAR on) Mobo: Asus Prime Z590M-PLUS bios v. 0820 x64 RAM: 8x2GB TeamGroup T-Force Dark Z 3600MHz (4000 MHz oc) One SATA ssd, two NVMe drives 6 case fans Let me know if you need more information

Hi all, I was wondering about something. I played the Insomniac's Spiderman remastered on Pc using keyboard and mouse and also using controller. I was more comfortable using kb/mouse as i mostly play pc games using kb/mouse. What i want to know is if i play spiderman (or any other games) on ps5 using keyboard and mouse, will my experience be the same? The keys layout will be the same as pc ones or you have to set the keys yourself in each game?

Hey people, I've got a laptop keyboard problem. As the title hints, the problem is that some keys when pressed, they type the right letter, but also some other one. These are all I found so far. 1. Pressing A or J types AJ. Always in the same order. When I hold it, it types AJAJAJAJAJ etc. This applies to all the others. 2. M or Q makes MQ 3. 0 (right numpad) or N makes N0 4. Y or TAB makes Y and TAB (this one is especially a pain in the arse - the reason why I accidentally posted this lmao) 5. ; or 6 (top numerals) makes 6; All the others behave normally. It started yesterday when I was just browsing YouTube. The funny part is that it doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes out of nothing it just comes back to normal again, but after a while it's back again. But it doesn't change fast, it is in one state for tens of minutes to even hours. The important part is that an external USB keyboard works perfectly fine, but I don't have much space on my desk so in the end using a broken built-in keybord is more comfortable for me lol. I already tried different OS (Linux) - problem persisted. I tried reinstalling drivers - nothing. I tried FN + Caps Lock and FN + Num Lock trick and for a second I thought it worked, but it was probably just a coincidence. I tried unplugging peripherals and stuff but I couldn't find any correlation. I even tried to take out the key covers and clean em but that did nothing. On the internet I stumbled upon someone who had a similar problem and they told him there could be something wrong with the pins and that he should unplug the keyboard cable and try to straighten the pins if they're bent or something. Sure, I repasted and undusted my laptop a few times so I have some experience with it, but completely removing the motherborard to reach the keyboard is like a whole another level for me. Let's say I wouldn't be exactly comfortable, so that is like a last resort for me. I also fear I'd have a hard time identifying a keyboard cable lol. Who knows, maybe this model has the cable reachable without removing the mobo, I don't know, couldn't find that info anywhere. My laptop is AJSUS ROG STRIX SCAR II GL504GW. So what do you pros think? Any ideas? Thanks for trying to help!

So, I found a keyboard at my gran's house, atleast 15 years old. Its the TVS Gold keyboard, which LTT made a video on with the actual cherry mx blue switches. It was used on a Pentium 2 System, and had a ps2 connector. I took it home and replaced the ps2 connector with a usb 2.0 connector, in hopes of using it as a gaming mechanical keyboard for free. But, as I connected it to my gaming laptop, 'usb device not recognised' keeps popping up and the led's on the keyboard keep flashing all the time. I can't even find the drivers for it online. Any ideas how to solve this problem ?

Hello everyone. I replaced the keyboard on a laptop with an aftermarket that is backlit. The keyboard works perfectly fine, but there is nowhere to get power for the backlit on the laptop. I'm planning on making a circuit with battery, switch and the keyboard power cable. My questions are: 1) How much power does the keyboard reqire? keyboard amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0895HSCJ5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_thAdGb6JR0FWR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&fbclid=IwAR0f0NuWijUDKHmrzTWpsnDZUfkAbxuWlA4JrQxlxR_s1ob4gbs4f_qZMFY 2) What should I connect to what? of course there is positive and negative, also probably ground, but what's the other? backup? *see image* Additionally, let me know if you think there something wrong with the plan, please let me know :D

PC restarts/wakes up whenever I press shut down/sleep. This problem is fixed when I remove my keyboard.. Also, the problem is solved if I press shut down/sleep immediately after it has rebooted. I've tried many things but in vain. Can anyone help me out?
