Yesterday I decided to rotate one of my monitors on its side to see how I like it. I quickly realized that windows would not let me snap windows to the top and bottom portions of the display, so I downloaded winsplit revolution. This worked, but it leaves an infuriating border surrounding the windows. I used another software (winexp) to check the actual sizing of the windows and found that they actually are 1440 pixels wide, but windows adds some padding to it. The solution is to manually increase the window size by 16 pixels and set it 8 pixels back, so that the "invisible" padding is off of the monitor, but of course this is not practical to do when snapping windows on a daily basis. Is anyone aware of an easy way to either remove this window padding or of a software that accounts for this padding automatically? I'm sure I could but I'm too lazy to write my own utility for this.

So, I recently reassambled my computer because my CPU-Cooler was Not screwed in thight enough and a few other things. After i was finished I heard a click and it smelled a little burned. That was my RGB-Header but it all appeart to bei fine. When I bootet up my Internet was connectet but did not work. I tried reseting my Network and every rational other fix, I even restored Windows, but my Internet is still not working. Could it be that my Motherboard is broken. I am using a Network Adapter from TP-Link called Archer T2u, its working fine (tryed it Out in my Notebook). My Motherboard is the AS-Rock B450 M-Pro4. Please reply as fast as possible I News my PC for school. Thanks.

hey there, I dunno how many of you are familiar with blender 2.8, but I'm having an issue with the Boolean > deference modifier. I'm brand new to blender and don't know much but I do know that the aforementioned modifier is supposed to use one object to cut a hole in the other. unfortunately it works the first time but not the second; here's a picture to illustrate my point. as you can see I've cut a circular hole in both inner and outer cylinders, but now I'm trying to cut a hole through them using the cube. that's where I run into issues, I think it has something to do with the cylinder that used to be there and the cube overlapping. I've tried to join them into a single object and using that to cut a hole but no dice. I can't figure this out, anyone know how to accomplish this?

So, I keep running into problems with the internet on my PC. The problem is that internet is just increadibly slow even though it could be much faster. It is a software problem and I supect it is because of Windows. I aleready turned off the powersaving in the adapter options. So how do I optimize my conecction to be as fast as possible.

My computer has been lagging and stuttering ever since I built it 1 and a half years ago. I decided to see what the problem was and got latencymon. I downloaded it, and it turns out that ntoskrnl.exe has a DPC latency of 237728.598611 . Sometimes, dxgkrnl.sys also like to join the party, with high ISR routine execution time. I've tried installing new network drivers, nvidia drivers, and clean install of windows, to no avail. I'm getting desperate now, to the point where I might just try to sell off what I can and build a new system. I've replaced the ram, mobo, tried iGPU, and took out the WiFi adapter. I've already tried many other forum posts, but none of them worked. Anyone know whats up? This event has only happened twice so far when I'm in soundcloud.com (only in this site using Mozilla Firefox) attempting to play a track. I have just installed Windows 10 because this is a new computer except for the motherboard, PSU and HDD. First time, I waited for the blue screen but it didn't happen so I shut down the system with the power button. Inmediantely turned on the PC and went to soundcloud.com again and happened again. After that, I avoided soundcloun and PC is working fine as far as I know. I have the logs from the event viewer on Windows 10. Any ideas? so my monitor (lg 34gk950f) is showing this issue, its a new monitor, the 4th one of the same model even, (the 2nd one had the same issue and I rma'd that one and replaced it with this one, 1st one was DOA and 3rd one had a scratch) ive had contact with LG but theyre saying it might be my graphics card/system but what setting might it be that is causing this (they said it was a setting that might be causing this) this flickering only occurs at 144hz btw the flickering does not occur on 120 hz and for a while didnt do so on 143 hz either (custom res) i have tested: - turning freessync/ Gsync off - 3440x1440 (143hz) - 3440x1440(120hz) <--- this one works but obviously i'd want it to work at 144 as it was intended to run at this - swapped cable (both diff port on gpu and diff DP 1.4 cable) - tried diff graphics card (currently have a rtx 2070 and tried a 1050 ti but this didnt work either it still flickered) - reinstallation of windows reinstallation of drivers (ddu) - tried diff power plug and directly from the wall

I'm trying to diagnose the issue. The computer freezes but the fans keep spining. Monitor signal goes out, mouse and keyboard lights go out after that. It's pretty ramdon, I just restart the PC using the button and I can keep using it. The Event Viewer on Windows says something about Kernel Power error. Might it be the PSU or something else? I would like to know for sure. I bought the motherboard used so it could have been bad without me knowing that. Before this motherboard, I had another haswell PC working fine with that PSU. Edit: All peripherals lose signal or power but the fans keep spining until I press the button to power off the system. It fully restarted itself once, the other 3 times I have to manually do it

(TL:DR Below) I have a GTX 1070 ti, I had it installed with a ryzen 3600, and a asrock x570 motherboard (It has rgb, but I forgot which one it is) I had gotten a Noctua D15 cooler, which blocked the top pcie slot. Me, being stupid, tried installing the card there, despite the fact that it was touching the cooler. Luckily, the 1070 ti has a backplate, but after I had realised my mistake, I had some trouble demounting it. It took some struggle, but I managed. I put it in the second pcie slot, and I had plugged everything in when it gave me a black screen. The motherboard reported that it didn't have a GPU installed, and a pin is slightly scratched off the gpu. (Pics Below) but I had seen it had a scratched off pin after i had bought it, (ebay) and it worked before. Edit: I'm using an rx 560 right now and it boots correctly in the bottom pcie slot. TL:DR My GTX 1070 ti has a scratched off pin, and will not boot. Can I save it?

i've got quite an odd issue regarding my GPU i have an RTX 2070, running 3 monitors ( on display port ) a few days ago one of my monitors stopped working, i did not bother as this happened a couple times before, usually fixed by swapping cables a bit and enabling it again in control panel. right now the issue: 1 PARTICULAR display port stops working when drivers are installed. i tried DDU and using older drivers, but it seems that this particular port just shuts itselfs down as soon as drivers are being installed. it works fine in safe mode, it works without drivers. it just doesn't anymore when installing drivers. i tried 3 different DP cables, i tried swapping the cables to different ports. lets say port 2 is sleeping: Monitor 1 on port 2 = black screen monitor 1, 2 & 3 working monitor 2 on port 2 = black screen monitor 2, 1 & 3 working Monitor 3 on port 2 = black screen monitor 3, 1 & 2 working ^^ hope y'all understand the issue and can help me along. ps. the monitor is not being detected by windows device manager, and not in control panel. ps1. unplugging power for couple minutes, replugging, did not work ps2. HDMI on 3rd monitor works fine The reason i don't run HDMI is cause i have 2x 144hz, 1x 240hz, therefore displayport is needed

So here is the deal. I have had my first build run fine for the past 4 years. Granted its been under heavy use for gaming and used often. Recently I had a hard crash on my PC in which i powered of the PC and back on. Since that hard crash, every time I load up a game it will run perfectly fine for a few minutes(10 -15) with out any issues. Then all of the sudden I will loose signal to my monitor and my computer will continue to run or just turn off(black screen, have not had a blue screen yet). It is very consistent, my PC will run fine while web surfing or video. It will also not crash when i run a benchmark such as heaven or furmark. My temperatures seem to be low and just fine. CPU Running in the 50-60 C range and gpu running between 60-70 range. I have run a mem test for ram, no errors were realized. I have dusted off and blown out pci slots and ram slots. I have completely reset drivers and reset windows.I am at a loss. I believe it is a hard ware issue either GPU or PSU but am torn on how to move forward to confirm exactly what my issue is. My computer specs are as followed Intel I7-6700k @ 4.00 Ghz EVGA Geforce GTX 980 TI EVGA Z170 FTW EVGA NEX 750 PSU GG.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM I hope some one in this community might be able to help me. I brought my pc into a tech store and 95 dollars later i am no closer to fixing this issue.

Hello, everyone! I absolutely LOVE LTT's YouTube Channel, and since I've searched online to answers for this issue and couldn't find any, I came here, thinking THIS is the place where someone surely will help me out!!! So, I have an AMD RX 580 Nitro+ 8GB Graphics Card, and I have tried to use MSI Afterburner, AMD Wattman, and the TriXX software to overclock, and it simply doesn't work. I even uninstalled the AMD Software and reinstalled the newest version, and it still doesn't work. Whenever I try to boost the power limit or the Clock Speed, it RESETS back to 1250 MHz! Please, someone please help me out!!!

Hello, I'll explain my bug as best as I can. Scenario: I'm on a voice channel with two people, gaming, chatting and suddenly I realize that they're not responding to what I'm saying. I check discord and I'm still connected to the voice channel. I try speaking and still no response. After this, I disconnect and reconnect to the voice channel. I can now finally hear them again. I asked if they could hear me earlier, trying to get a response and they said they could hear me perfectly. So, in conclusion, without any notice my audio is completely cut off without any notice, but the recipient can still clearly hear me. I contacted Discord and we went back and forth trying different settings, they even gave me an unreleased beta version of Discord, but with no results. This makes me think it's not a software problem, but a hardware issue. I'm using a pair of HyperX Cloud Flights, but I've never heard anyone have this problem. I'm looking forward to ideas, solutions, I'll try anything. Thank you!

Hi everyone! Could really use your input on this. I've been having performance issues with my brand new gaming PC these last few weeks and I have no idea what to do. When I'm playing, or doing anything which requires GPU power, it does not deliver. I have an Asus ROG Strix RTX 2080Ti Gaming card, so it should deliver more than 20fps in Modern Warfare for example. It does unfortunatly not, and I have no clue what else to do - so I'm reaching out to you fellers. What I think is wrong: I believe that the GPU clock is stuck at 300Mhz. (which is shown in the picture below) It never goes above 345Mhz even though it has reached 1800Mhz and beyond before. Maybe my PC cannot switch between 2D and 3D clocking or whatever it is called? My reasoning behind that is simply that enabling "Always 3D Clock" in GPU-Tweak II kind of fixes the issue, but at the expense of heat and screen tearing which is not favorable. I never had to enable this before things went down hill. Since "Always 3D clock" kind of works, I'm assuming this is a software issue and not hardware one. What I've tried: - Resetting the PC and deleting all my files - DDU (Uninstalling the display drivers and reinstalling the newest drivers) - Changing the clock manually (nothing happens) - Enabled the performance choice in the battery settings (Was always on, so toggled it on/off) - Updated all my drivers (Windows, GPU and all third-party apps) Other main specs: CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 32GB Storage: M.2 PCIe storage Has anyone had the same issue? I'm all out of ideas at this point...

Hi all, recently (some day ago) I purchased on Amazon a monitor Philips 272b8qjeb (to use as 2nd monitor). It has an IPS panel, but I noticed a weird behavior when I watch it from above, from bellow e from sides: it seems the screen changes colors (for example black becomes grey/green). So I would like to know if, in your opinion, this monitor has some issue (in this case I will send back it to Amazon) or if this monitor model by Philips isn't so great as quality. I've already another IPS monitor, a LG 43UD79 and I can make sure you it hasn't this kind of problems, neither watching it from extreme angles. In addition this LG has a deeper black than the Philips one: I tried for hours to play on the OSD of the Philips monitor (like decreasing the brightness, increasing the contrast or changing the black deep and the gamma, but nothing). video philips.mp4

So the first issue I'm having is shown here, this happens in games where I will get a short moment when the game freezes but the other aspects of the computer is fine, obs is still running, webcam continues unaffected(happens again in the video at 12min). I do have these games on an Inland Premium 512GB 3D NAND M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive, not sure how I can check that I'm not getting stuttering from that. I have run hard drive tests when I first installed it (I installed new RAM at the same time that was giving me issues) but maybe I just don't know how to interpret the results or what to look for. Maybe it's the RAM (but wouldn't that cause the webcam to freeze as well)? This stuttering/freezing happens in Overwatch and Dota 2 as well. Second Issue, and maybe this should be it's own topic is that I haven't played the game in 6 years and when I tried to join a game, any game including trying to host one locally, it would say "Disconnected Client Timed Out". I have no idea what to do, I tried several solutions online including reinstalling, setting a +clientport number launch option, looking for blob files though I didn't see any. After reinstalling it didn't work, adding the launch port option did work for about 10 minutes until I was disconnected and could not reconnect. Anyone dealt with this issue before? I'm assuming it's something with windows defender or something? This issue seems unique to l4d2 on my end. Hey! I have bought some components in order to build a cheap yet very silent office desktop. After assembling and checking over all the components in the bios I went to the next step of installing windows 10 from the USB Drive. After booting the stickdrive I get to the step where I have to choose the drive where I want to install the OS, there my NVME drive does not show up. After spending my entire evening reading on forums, watching tutorials etc. I found out I had to install a driver for the M2 drive 'OR' that I can maybe get away with a BIOS update. Said and done, got another USB drive, with the latest driver of the SSD, and latest BIOS version of the motherboard files. I feel like I'm writing too much but I can't update the BIOS, and I also cant install a firmware for the SSD (not sure where it installs tbh if that undected SSD is the only storage plugged). I have attached a few images in which it shows there is no driver found on the stick, except it is (see the screenshots). Also, the USB is formated as fat32, also tried as NTFS before. Components: Gigabyte A320M-H; AMD Athlon 3000G; Corsair VS350; ADATA SX6000 LITE; Viper Patriot 8GB RAM (also a passive CPU cooler from Arctic) Please anyone help me I'm quite desperate at this point. Thank you! [I have also attached screenshots of the available files from the memory stick]

And there were a couple other problems to I fixed them and turned on the pc but nothing. But there was a red light on the motherboard and under that said cpu so I so I took out the cpu and put it back in with the fan and everything. And still didnt boot but this time the red light was on dram I tried rearranging the ram in different slots searching It up online and I've gotten nothing I dont know what to do. I dont know if the ram broke during shipping or if it's another problem. My uncle built himself and it posted with the same ram and everything so I think it might be broken but if you guys could give me some suggestions on what to do that would be nice also my ram is. I'm going to make it quick. I have a Linksys XAC1200 router that is capable of around 900Mbps. But for some reason it slows down my 300Mbps connection. I have 300Mbps download and 30Mbps upload coming straight out of the modem. The modem is plugged straight to the router and for some reason I'm getting 140Mbps download and 210Mbps upload on my PC. Any feedback would be appreciated.
