I just recently installed a new msi 3060ti (3 fan 8g) and I'm having issues when i run anything that requires it to work hard. If i play any sort of demanding title (apex, mw2, pubg) both my monitors (1080p 144hz) will black out and turn off. My computers RGB will stay on but the audio will cut out after a few seconds. This however does not happen with easier to run games like terraria. If i completely turn off my computer and unplug it the games will run perfectly for about 5-10 minutes and the graphics card stays at a solid 60 degrees Celsius pretty consistently. I have a lot of RGB and power hungry stuff in my system with a 650w 80+ gold power supply, I think it could be that issue but im not quite sure. Any tips? https://pcpartpicker.com/user/FinneseRice/saved/#view=RzzQP6

Hello, I am in need of some help. A couple of months ago, I was cleaning my Surface Pro 7's drive in order to optimize and free up space using CCleaner. In doing so, I believe that I accidentally deleted some key drivers used for power management, battery monitoring, and battery display (how I managed to royally screw up so bad is a question I ask myself every day). Normally you'd think it'd be an easy fix, but it has been anything but easy. This is where I go over everything that I have done that I could possibly think of. I may be tech savvy, but I am not attuned to digging below the surface level of software. I have reset back to the last windows update, soft reset my surface (kept files and apps), hard reset my surface (wiped everything and start fresh), installed a fresh version of windows from Microsoft, installed the Create Windows 11 Installation Media tool, installed Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO), ran an in-place upgrade for windows 11, and downloaded the latest Surface Pro 7 drivers and firmware and I still cannot get the battery icon/drivers to work. I'm at the point where I don't know what to do next and all of the guides I try to lookup still have the battery drivers installed but they are either hidden or just not operating. There are no hidden drivers under device manager and the only thing that I can see that is an issue is the Surface Serial Hub Driver which has an error flag for: "This device cannot start. (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE." I am out of my depth here with several support chats with Microsoft doing no good. I really need some help here guys. Anything and everything is appreciated if it helps me get full functionality of my Surface Pro 7 again Note: This is not a major issue in the sense that I cannot use my Surface whatsoever. Daily issues include: battery life has been noticeably affected, cannot monitor battery life at all, device shuts off without warning when the battery is dead, and date code and device memory does not update to current date and time until the device has been on for about 30 minutes or so and is essentially stuck in the last place and time that I had my Surface on.

I recently built a gaming pc for the first time, I have downloaded windows and get to the windows screen, but when i try to connect to the wifi it says that there's no internet available. It doesen't even show any options, like it doesen't have wifi, but it should. I have connected the antenna to the wifi port on the motherboard, and I have tried to swap the two wires positions. I need advice on why i can't connect to the wifi. Thanks in advance! Specs: HelgeoX - Saved Part Lists - PCPartPicker

So, ive owned my monitor for roughly 3 or so years now but in the last few weeks i've starting having an issue, not had any physical damage just kind of cropped up out of the blue. After some searching it seems as if this is an issue only related to MSI monitors, but i could be wrong. When first starting up my monitor: Mutiple Entire horizontal rows of pixels will be distorted (see image below for a better idea) Or My monitor will only put out 60hz despite being 144hz Power cycling the monitor will fix this issue eventually but can take up to 15 minutes of constant power cycling to resolve. I've tried different cables, Different forms of connection (DP, HDMI), and updated to the most recent GPU drivers So i doubt it is either a cable, port or driver issue. The only thing that i can think of is the panel, but i wouldnt have a clue about how to troubleshoot issues relating to that. Here are some images of my monitor specs, and of an image of what i am talking about. (Not my monitor but is the exact issue i have)

Has anyone else experienced this? They appear next to and also underneath the video on Youtube, and only in Dark mode (as far as I know). It also appears "behind" the video player. i.e when playing a video in portrait (not a YT Short, those are not affected) they appear in the empty area where a normal landscape video would be (as seen in the last picture). They also move and flicker when the video is playing but stay static if the video is paused. I've tested this on Chrome, Brave and Firefox, but only Chrome and Brave show the artefacts. Chromium-based issue? It's just very interesting seeing as it appears to be on the background but also somewhat responds to the video player.

So I've been trying to get access to my FileZilla server from another network and I was able to connect the normal way but it wouldn't load my files. I found an old post on this issue on stack overflow where they solved it by using SFTP. I started trying this but now I'm completely unable to connect to my FTP server. What could I possibly try now? Thanks in advance

I just built my new pc and moved over the ssd from my old pc. I start the new pc and it boots windows no problem but at the sign in screen windows say "Your PIN is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device. Click to set up your PIN again.". This would be an easy fix but when I go to connect to my internet I only get the airplane mode option and its greyed out. I will attach some images. My motherboard is a gigabyte z690 aorus elite ax. Any help is appreciated.

Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro WiFi External Card: Gigabyte GC-WBAX210 I want to use the external card and not the internal for BT, both seem to be detected but one is showing an issue, which I think is the external one (the WiFi from the external card works fine) (First) Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R)'s Hardware IDs USB\VID_8087&PID_0032&REV_0000 USB\VID_8087&PID_0032 (Second) Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R)'s Hardware IDs USB\VID_8087&PID_0AA7&REV_0001 USB\VID_8087&PID_0AA7 Questions: 1) How do I fix the BT that I believe is the external one? 2) How do I force Windows 10 to use the external BT instead of the internal? @Murasaki Please help

so a little while ago I decided it was time to upgrade my PC which was going well until I got a new cpu (RYZEN 5 5600x) which was not compatible with my motherboard. so I got a new motherboard and it still didn’t work and so I did a bios update because it was supposedly supposed to work after I flash bios but then the problem continued so I chose to get a new motherboard and try that out. so I got a (MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX II) which I don’t think is compatible with the AMD RYZEN 5 5600x without a bios update but I did end up updating my bios but it still just turns on runs for a minute and then restarts. I have tried getting a new power supply, I tried putting in some different sticks of ram I borrowed from my friend, I got a new hard drive and a new M.2, but the problem only seems to be with the cpu, because I have tried putting my old cpu in my pc (AMD RYZEN 5 1600). and it ran fine but every time I try to use the ryzen 5 5600x it runs for a minute and then restarts. I am going to see if my friend who has a ryzen 5 5600x in his pc will let me put my ryzen 5 5600x in his pc to see if it is a problem with the cpu or not. in the end I think it’s probably just a motherboard compatibility issue or maybe a faulty cpu but idk i’d like to hear your thoughts.

516 Nvidia Driver Update may have brought this problem. There are some games that show a horrible tearing while VSync is on, you look up, this horizontal desync lines go up the screen to, same downwards. It appears to be solved while maxing out Super Sampling, but this occurs to not be a quite good solution, my 60 stable FPS with 40% GPU changes to a Mostly stable 60FPS with a 100% Usage on House Flipper, Max Settings. Games like Resident Evil: Village or Cities: Skyline doesn't show this stutter issue. I've tried reinstalling drivers, restoring Windows and changing Nvidia Control Panel and GeForce Experience settings too and none of them seens to solve this. Specs: HP Victus 16, i5 11400H, 32GB RAM, RTX 3050 Laptop. Temps: Max CPU 78°C, Max GPU 68°C VID-20220911-WA0051.mp4

Hey, not sure if this is the right place so I can take it down and move it if I need to but I just had a weird issue crop up on one of my monitors. My 16x9 1080p monitor (Acer) randomly had the taskbar height increased. The icons are the same size, no difference there, and my other Ultrawide monitor is fine. I didn't see an adjustment for taskbar height in the main settings for taskbar and when I look online everything is talking about regediting to get a larger or smaller size icon, but not the changing the gap of the taskbar itself. Let me know if anyone else has experienced this before. Thanks

Hello! I'm trying to use OBS Multiview as a scene switcher, by displaying it in full screen on a spacedesk screen on a tablet. But everytime i touch the screen to switch scenes, the mouse moves to the touched location. I then have to move it back to my main display before i can continue with whatever i'm doing. Is there any way to tell the mouse to just stay where it was and still activate the scene? Thanks for your help, mistermodcreator

Hey everyone, So I recently bought a new gaming laptop (Lenovo Legion 5 - R7-5800h - RTX 3060) and have been dealing with a really annoying problem. I have been playing Valorant, and although the game runs great while playing it, when I then close the game by exiting to desktop, it has a 50/50 chance of freezing my whole PC. It allows me to move my cursor, but I cannot click anything or do anything on the PC. My only option is to then force shut down the laptop by holding the power button. I also have an issue where if I Alt-Tab or Windows key and open something it also has a chance of doing the same thing, but I have heard this is a common issue with Windows 11 so it doesnt worry me too much, although a friend of mine with the exact same laptop was also having the same issue, but it has seemed to stop for him over the last 2 weeks. He didnt change anything, it just stopped. I was hoping the issue would fix itself but it doesnt seem to. Now I am wondering if its a windows issue, or an issue with the laptop itself. I am running Windows 11, the laptop has 16gb of RAM in Dual Channel, 500gb SSD, I am also running it through a Dock to external monitors. The provided power brick is always being used and am using the performance mode setting. Does anyone know how I can possibly fix this? Thanks!

Last summer I upgraded my processor from a 4790 to an 11700k, this of course involved swapping motherboard and ram, it is the motherboard though that troubles me, I'm talking about the Gigabyte z590 UD AC. There are 2 main issues with it which I still don't know how to fix, one I had ever since I installed it and the other popped up just today, let's start with the first. One of the fans in my system has an extremely strange problem where it just ramps up and ramps down its speed very frequently, almost soundiung like and ambulance siren, the motherboard control doesn't seem to be working properly for that fan alone, I already tried everything including flattening down the fan curve to 0 but it would still ramp up to maximum speed and then back to 0 every second, it's not a problem while I'm booted in windows as I use Fan Control to set up custom curves for both the cpu and the graphics card but everytime that I turn on, shut down or wake from sleep my pc that single fan starts wailing in the most annoying way possible, which leads us to the second issue, trying to solve the fan speed problem today I updated the bios which I didn't know was so outdated, version F2 updated all the way to version F7b, unfortunately the fan keeps doing its... thing, while for some reason some of my drives are no longer showing within the bios, let explain, I have 2 "interesting" pieces of hardware in my pc, one being a plextor m6e ssd, that I use as a secondary game drive, which has a special controller that requires initialization during post, this translates in, usually, a splash screen with the plextor logo after the gigabyte logo, the other is a raid card which I use to drive 4 swappable drives, both the plextor and the drives connected to the raid card no longer show in the bios (on windows they show) which is an issue as one of the drives connected to the raid card has my fedora installation and now I can no longer boot from it as it is not present in the bios setup, to sum up the second issue, it seems that both of those devices whice require some sort of initialization during post no longer show splash screens of their own and are no longer showing whitin the bios, I repeat IN THE BIOS, on windows they work just fine. I have no idea how to solve these issues, I'm quiet confident in the second being solvable with a setting somewhere I don't know about but the first I don't know if it's fixable. Thanks to everyone in advance for your support, Davide.

So my second monitor needs a VGA or DP input, though I don't have any on my PC. To solve this I used a DVI to DP cable to turn the DVI signal from my PC into a DP signal. Then, when I turn the monitor on, no signal is transmitted. It displays [POWER SAVING MODE] before turning the screen black. I know the screen is getting a connection, as the display would say [NO CONNECTION] if it didn't. I tried the cable on my other monitor and It didn't work there either. It's probably not the cable, as I got it just today. So it must be something in the DVI output that's messing it up. If you have a solution or any idea for what I can do, leave a comment, and ill reply ASAP. If you would like any more information on the matter, don't be scared to reach out, I'm trying my best as well!

Hello all, So I recently got an MSI RX 6600 XT and a 760 watt PSU for my build. I realized that my current rig was bot compatible due to the motherboard and the PSU in that (it was meant for servers). So I switched to my first rig with a normal motherboard and just swapped out the hardware. Everything is pulled in and working...except the USB ports. I can't set up the computer without my keyboard, which is USB. I have tried every USB port on my computer and not a single one worked. Any suggestions/fixes? I've attached 2 pics of where I think the problem may be at.

Every time i run a game in full screen the colors become washed out, even when i exit the game my desktop looks washed out(tested this on several games, all appear washed out), this only happens when i launch a full screen game. however playing in borderlines windowed mode does not look washed out except that it puts a strain on my fps so that's not a solution. (my digital vibrance in NVIDIA control panel is set to 80) specs: Windows 7 x64 (with esu) RTX 3070 AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT (i also tryed to update the gpu drivers and change output color format and range in the nvidia control panel it did not work, ive looked all over the internet and nothing worked for me i need help on this)

My computer takes 30mins - 1hr to actually run properly. What I mean by that is, when I turn my computer on I get really low fps (30fps on league of legends) and my computer is slow and I struggle to play games or even load YouTube. But after a while it starts running smoothly again. In task manager nothing is using a bunch of assets so I don't know what causing this. All my drivers are updated aswell. I have had issues with my power supply before but I got a replacement via warranty (1 and half years ago). Specs: Windows 10 CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti MOTHER BOARD: Z390 AUROS ELITE POWER SUPPLY: CORAIR RM 750 RAM: 3200MHz 32GB SSD: Samsung 970 EVO NVMe If anyone can help that would be amazing. I'm not and expert when it comes to computer but I know a bit.

Hello, sorry, as a new user, my first thread is an issue that I am having. I know, I feel horrible! My Pc isn't a beast, but I managed to buy it during the pandemic. I have an R5 3600 with a 1050TI (I couldn't buy a new GPU because prices where so high, so i decided to stick around with my old 1050TI), RAM 16GB 3200Mhz, and a 720p Monitor! My problem is that Today I installed Project Cars and it didn't run well even on the lowest setting. I thought it was bad Optimization because I can run Days gone on Ultra so I just uninstalled it and decided to play CARX. Same issue. I used to run this game on 60FPS maxed out and today I can't even play it on the lowest without dropping to 15 - 20 FPS. I've tried Days gone too and it's unplayable now. Checked the usage of my GPU and it's too low. For a game like Days gone, considering my rig, I should have atleast a 95% usage on my GPU. On both CARX and DG, CPU usage was at 100% and GPU would go around 20 - 30 everytime. I've tried to use the NVIDIA Control Panel to force my GPU as the primary device but there is no setting like that in my panel, same thing when i Right click a game. When I use Blender with Cycles, I can use my GPU and luckily it runs well as I can directly choose via blender what device I want to use. I've also updated my Drivers, reboot my PC and let it cool down, playing on the lowest graphic, updating windows etc. I'd like to format the computer but I have some files that are huge for my Internet speed to do a backup somewhere because I am on 4G, I don't have a wifi. I don't know what could be the cause becuase I've been on Blender for two weeks without touching windows settings or my GPU settings, so no gaming for me aside from this bad day.
