So I have the following model. asus rog zephyrus g15 ga502iv with the r9 4900hs and rtx 2060 max-q. I have dug through many forums and tried many work arounds that would work for my desktop. The one that irritated me the most was disabling the integrated graphics through the control panel. This should have been an easy fix. No. It made it to where I actually lost even more frames! Went from 26fps to 5 because apparently the design for this thing forces the designated gpu (rtx 2060) to run through the integrated gpu on the processor. I can see my frames jump through the roof as they should when I pull a program up in front of whatever my game as the processor worries about that program (it seems). Then allows the rtx card to do its job in the background. (Atleast that's my first thought) So what I'm wondering is if this is a poor engineering design? Bad drivers? Is this all this thing can do unless I use a Display port to an external monitor? I hope and pray there is an answer out there. I have looked over armoury and there is no igpu option and any manual overriding through windows or nvidia control panel does nothing. That reminds me however that when I go to the Nvidia control panel, on the phy-x panel it shows the monitor only going through the integrated graphics. Which is puzzling in of its self. It makes me wonder if this is how AMD intended this to work or if there is an issue with my particular laptop. It's very frustrating as I would like to use it for gaming while on the road for work. Any answers or other ideas would be a blessing.

Hi! My name is Prem. I'm from India and I'm 17 and I have recently build my first ever pc in my life and due to the current price hike, it cost me around 2 times the normal price. It cost me around 650 Canadian dollars including win 10 pro license as well. Here are the specs:- CPU - Athlon 3000g RAM - Kingston Fury 3200 MHz 8*2 (16GB) DDR4 CL16 MoBo - MSI B450m Pro VDH Max PSU - Antec VS600L Storage: Scavenged WD 320GB 7200 rpm HDD from Dell Inspiron one AIO 19 + 250 GB Seagate HDD + Kingston SATA 3 SSD 128 GB + ADATA XPG GAMMIX S11 Pro 256GB (BOOT DRIVE) So, I tried overclocking it at the first boot but it crashed. The next time I managed to overclock CPU to 3.7 GHz and support 3200 MHz RAM completely but I couldn't find a way to O.C. my GPU in the Bios. I do have the latest bios version and all drivers up to date. The afterburner software seems to not work at all as whenever I press apply it resets all the frequencies back to default I mean only option available to me in the first interface is GPU clock and memory clock out. Then I used Ryzen Master, With this buddy I was able to clock my RAM as well as GPU only and that too for only one time after the first required reboot. after shutting my pc down and running it on the next day resets my GPU clocks to the factory settings no matter what. I did saved the profile and did everything I could. My main disappointment is that I couldn't find any settings, not even a word related to GPU or i-GPU in my motherboard BIOS. The daily process I've to go through with the Ryzen Master app is quite frustrating now for me. I hope somebody could suggest me a solution PLEASE...!!!

I put read description because I know people are gonna say, “Of course a DGPU is better! Are you crazy?” What I meant is that is it better to go on eBay and get a 900/1000 series GPU, like 960, 970, 1050(Ti) etc, or to get an iGPU from AMD or Intel? I have been wondering these because I watch build guides on YouTube and I see below $1000 builds with an APU/iGPU and ones with a 1050 Ti, 960, etc. And what I mean by below $1000 is flat price-points like $500 or $750. In conclusion, which one is best for value? Or, below $1000?

I have the i7-4790k and MSI z97 gaming 5(bios updated) The system freezes when igpu driver is installed on windows 10 64bit (windows update/MSI website/intel DSA Tool) Using a 1TB WD Blue HDD and Corsair vengeance 1600mhz 2x8gb Tried with different HDD, different set of ram sticks and different PSU also cpu temps are also good all hardware seems to be fine system works fine with Microsoft basic display adapter But won’t pass audio via HDMI Won’t let me change resolution to 1440p or 4k No option for custom aspect ratio to adjust the top, bottom, left and right if the screen Any idea how to fix it?

Well, after around 4 years of use I think that my laptop finally decided to "die". I was getting a lot of blue screens with the "system exception" stop code when using the laptop so I decided to trouble shoot and investigate. I tried reinstalling drivers, windows (it failed on first boot and reverted everything back) but nothing seemed to work. I went to event viewer and saw a bunch of kernel related issues specifying something about power and an INT device. I tested the cpu for 1 hour in Intel XTU and it passed. I tested the iGPU in Kombustor and it started artifacting at around what was read by the program 41C. Kombustor was not reading the load of the iGPU and I decided to open task manager and... it blue screened. Is there anything I can do? Additional info: OS - Windows 10 x64 What OS was originaly installed on the system: no Is the OS an OEM version: no Age of system: 4 Years +/- a few months Age of OS installation: less than a month (the laptop had very little use after I built my PC) CPU model: i3 5005u Video Card model: GT920m 2GB DDR3 + Intel HD5500 System Manufacturer: Asus Exact model number: A540LJ XX612D Laptop

Hi all. I just got a used Dell Latitude 7200 laptop. When I try to install the graphics driver for the Intel UHD Graphics 620 some weird flashing horizontal lines appear on the screen. When I use DDU to uninstall said drivers (and use the Microsoft basic display adapter drivers) the artefacts go away. The artefacts do not appear in screenshots or on external monitors. I have tried a variety of driver versions from Intel, Windows Update, and Dell's website to no avail. Video of artefacts is attached Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks Specs: i5-8365U UHD Graphics 620 8GB ram 256GB SSD Windows 10 Pro 21H1 0gzu4ab.mp4

I know it's usually the other way around, but it seems that some games (e.g. csgo) will not run integrated graphics unless I disable the dedicated GPU. I have a Lenovo Ideapad Gaming w/ a 4600h and a GTX1650 and would like to run lighter games on the iGPU but despite setting up both Nvidia Control panel and Windows Graphics settings, I cannot get some titles to do it unless I didable the 1650 from device manager (im which case csgo runs at 100+ fps, so the igpu isn't faulty). Any idea how to fix this?

I apologize to mods,i wasnt sure to put this under Monitors or gpu section. Anyway my laptop ryzen 3500u with radeon vega 8 says that maximum supported resolution is 3840x2160. However i am not sure how to take that. I want to buy my self 1x 4k monitor, and use it as a dual setup 1x 4k monitor, and 1x 1080p external monitor. But i am not sure how to calculate that total resolution. If the supported amount is 3840x2160,is that calcuting in the build in display of the laptop which is 1080p,or it is just for the externals? I dont want to buy 4k monitor just to learn that i cant use it. Sry for the stupid question

Recently I've upgraded from this i3-9100F to a i7-9700. My current setup is equiped with a graphics card already but I was puzzled when I tried to look for driver updates for the integrated graphics and both Windows and Intel said there were none, the onboard ports don't give out any signal too. I've looked for it on Aida64 and found nothing. Could it be that my motherboard does not support this integrated graphics chip? TUF B360M-PLUS GAMING/BR GeForce GTX 1650

Hey dudes and dudettes, it's been a while since I posted on here but I'm looking to potentially get some help. So I'm in the deployed right now to the Middle East and I wasn't able to take my gaming desktop for obvious reasons but I was able to take my pretty competent Lenovo ThinkPad which I'm trying desperately to be able to play some games on. The specs are as follows; Intel Core i5-8250U (4c/8t turbo: 3.4Ghz) Intel "UHD" Graphics 620 (advanced display settings says it has 128MBs of dedicated VRAM) 32GB DDR4 (2133 Mhz) I'm trying to see if I can possibly increase the dedicated VRAM to potentially increase the performance, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

So I have overclocked this old family computer to 4ghz (stock is 3.8ghz) and I have been recording using obs or playing a game and running some server stuff in the background or rendering stuff and it randomly crashes. Full system crash... It auto restarts and then I am greated by a 70 degree processor and completely no logs of why it crashed. Specs: a12-9800/AMD R7 Graphics integrated 16GB DDR4 RAM very slow but useable for low gaming / recording. 970 evo SSD and 4TB server HDD 300W power supply. help?

Friends wants to get a laptop with an IGPU one day, preferrably a Ryzen 7 one for them cores. Though, we are unsure if he should wait for DDR 5 or not, as it is on our understanding that the performance is dependent on ram speed. After all, the m1 gpu is inbetween a gtx 1050 ti and a 1650 with an LPDDR4X-4266, so igpus would be much better with DDR5, right? Is the logic that he is going with. Would DDR 5 make the performance significantly better? Or should he just go ahead and get one to save him the trouble of waiting.

Looking at benchmarks the Vega 11 3400g is a better apu (higher fps) but which one of them is a better CPU. Planning to upgrade to a dedicated gpu in the future. And on a budget, which is a better cpu its probably the 4650g right? But how better is it as a cpu? Or should I wait for the coming R 5 5600g? Share me your thoughts and experiences thanks PS I'm from the philippines, prices may vary from where you are

I have a desktop pc(this is NOT for gaming ) with integragted vega 11 and i want to add more monitors So i am planning to buy a gt 710 or smiliar for the display outs, Now the question can i still use the integrated GPU which is way more powerfull than the gt 710 for processing But display out of the gt 710, Like you can with some laptops where you right click on a program and use "high speed graphics" , so basically i want to display out of the gt710 but use the processing power of the iGPU

To preface this; I’ve had two laptops over the past month with the same problem - stuttering. I’ve been troubleshooting them rigorously to find out what’s going on. For specs, both machines have a Ryzen 7 5800H + 16GB 3200 + RTX3070 8GB and storage is on two 512GB NVME drives. The microstutters appear as duplicate frames for a few ms. and in Doom eternal for example, it shows as a sharp spike on the frametime graph So I ended up returning the first machine because of this issue and then got an exchange for a new one, which also has this problem. Oddly enough it only seems to occur when it’s using Optimus Switchable Graphics, the standard mode. Now yes I could put it into dGPU only mode however that requires a restart every time I want to change it. Using the iGPU for minor tasks is hugely beneficial for noise, heat and battery longevity so I need to be able to switch. I’ve contacted Nvidia, AMD and a few devs about this but they keep running me around with things like reset windows every few messages or so - it’s obvious they don’t want to do anything. has anyone got any pointers? I feel like I’ve exhausted my arsenal.

One day I would load up have 100 fps on max graphics, the next day I would get 25 fps on the lowest. I tried medium it gives 45 fps. I have 3000mhz ram clocked to 2666mhz. I tried other speeds but I cant get past 2666. I think the problem is my something with my gpu or ram. Please help! So, basically I started using my igpu for 2nd monitor and, and i notices that it uses 16gb of ram (I have 32gb in total) and I'd like to decrease it to like 2gb's or something. Is there a way to do that or am I just forced to use that ammount on igpu? or is there completly different reason this happens. (also no, I cant use my main gpu for that 2nd monitor)

Hi, [This is my first time asking for technical help in a forum. Please excuse my online etiquette ] [Before you stop reading midway, I have sufficient reasons to believe why it is not a hardware issue. I explained the reasons below] The Problem I have been using an Asus X556UB Laptop (i5 6200u, 940mx, 8GB Ram) for the last 5 years. About 2 years ago, I started having random shutdowns & after thorough scrutiny, I figured out it has something to do with the iGPU (Intel HD 520). Laptop runs fine if I have my iGPU disabled/uninstalled in device manager. Laptop instantly shuts down if I enable it (and fails to boot to windows if I have it enabled from safe mode). The problem is that the laptop doesn't have any bios settings to disable iGPU/switch display output to dGPU. Thus, applications which by default use iGPU doesn't run. I also can't change the settings to run "most of those" apps on dGPU as Nvidia control panel says that no display is connected to the dGPU & doesn't show any settings to choose default GPU. The processor itself runs fine. Cooling works fine and gets up to 90 Degrees (C) for the processor. After trying out multiple combinations of drivers, my final setup is: disabled iGPU, uninstalled Intel Thermal Management Drivers (see screenshot below) (the "other devices" showed up after I uninstalled Intel Dynamic Thermal Management Framework & Intel Management Engine Component) & now some games run absolutely fine with the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter + Nvidia 940Mx combo. For eg: I ran NFS Underground 2 on very high settings at native resolution at around 80fps. PCSX2 games also runs fine (Although if I remember correctly it wasn't like this always. NFS Pro Street with the same combo would get 5-8fps, but that could be because I failed to choose dGPU to run the app). What I've tried so far (in no sequential order) (apart from countless google searches regarding the issue) 1. Updated Bios> Downgraded Bios> Updated Bios again 2. Fresh Installation of windows [currently on latest version - December 2020] multiple times. 3. Installed oldest version of drivers from ASUS's website. 4. Installed latest version of drivers from ASUS's website. 5. Installed latest version of drivers from respective component manufacturers' website* 6. Disassembled laptop > checked cooling > repasted CPU & GPU countless times 7. Bought new power adapter (65w) 8. Used intel XTU to underclock CPU + iGPU 9. Ran without battery 10. Maybe more things I don't remember *Latest version of drivers changed quite a few times over the last two years. Tried at least 4 "latest drivers". After two years of missing out on pc gaming (specially during the pandemic), I finally decided that I should get help. Tbh, I only as of posting this thread saw that underground 2 is playable, so that's a relief (now I can play at least some games xD). The Ask I still couldn't figure out what the problem is. Maybe driver issue, maybe partial CPU damage. I don't think it is a cooling issue as I don't think I ever saw temperature go above 90 degrees. Also laptop shuts down even without any load. It'd be a peace of mind if I could get a definite answer/solution to the problem. Thank you! P.S: I'll update the original post with more info as it arises. More info 1. Laptop iGPU used to occasionally work for 10-15 minutes to even hours. Would return to status quo (shutdown) after restarting computer. I couldn't figure out why it'd work, when it worked.

Hello. The title states most of my issue. I have no idea where to go to find the switch to enable my iGPU in the bios of my AsRock B450M Steel Legend. I don't even know if I can do that in the first place. I want it because I would like to use the VCE encoder of my Ryzen 3 3200G for OBS/video rendering but still be able to use my GT 1030 for graphics power. Does anyone know if I have a way of doing this? If so, any advice on how would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, so i'm helping my sister becasue she want's a home computer and since she doesn't have much space for a normal desktop i'm planning on buying her an intel NUC with the CPU mentioned above, she doesn't play any demanding games, only things such as sims, but as i'm used to having a big beefy gpu i've never been able to test out the graphics in I-GPU's. So she obviously doesn't need 240 fps and everything on high but would it run at a proper 60fps at standard 1080p med/high graphics or would it be better to maybe get one with a i5-8259U (both have intel iris plus graphics 655)
