I’ve been dealing with this ASUS motherboard for 2 weeks now trying to troubleshoot reason to why the XMP profile crashes Fortnite on DIMM slots 2 and 4. When I switch the DIMM to slots 1 and 3, XMP takes quite a while to Boot and post. I’ve tried contacting ASUS themselves I haven’t heard anything back yet. I bought the recommended RAM and all the parts are compatible. Please help you’re my only hope. specs~ i9-13900k Asus motherboard z790 A Wifi G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB series (Intel XMP 3.0) DDR5 RAM RTX 4070ti 1TB

So I have had my pc for a while, an i9 13900k and 4090 but recently it kept freezing, I did all the basic troubleshooting and nothing sorted it so i reinstalled windows now my rog strix motherboard won't connect to the Internet, I updated bios using USB, and still won't, tried ethernet cable, won't work, nothing wrong with router, everything else connected to it is fine, and since Windows requires an Internet connection to do practically anything I am stuck, any help is appreciated

Why they are selling the CPU at different prices? What's the difference? Shall I go for the cheapest? (Region UK) https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/DhVmP6/intel-core-i9-13900k-3-ghz-24-core-processor-bx8071513900k TLDR I am moving to a new place this October. I want to build my first desktop. I am definitely going for 4090 (ti ?) and above. So I need a good CPU, preferably with an onboard GPU so I can wait for the release of 4090ti. Initially, I was thinking 13900KS, but good people talked me out as the little performance increase does not worth the extra money compared with 13900K. When I was about to make the order, I found out there are variations in prices among different retailers. I heard that you can get CPU from some retailers cheaper as it doesn't come with the original package. But as in the link that I posted above, all of them seem to come with the package and proper warranties. So I am confused. What should I do now? In addition, since I am moving to my new place this October, shall I (not) buy the parts now? Is it possible that any parts get cheaper after 2-3 months? (For example, after the 14th Gen releases) Thank you people. SpaceHunter

Hi I'm looking for best AIO for cooling i9-13900k. After some resaech i found out, that this two are the best right now: - EK Water Blocks EK-Nucleus AIO CR360 - Nzxt Kraken 360 or 280 There is also Elite version of kraken, but it only differs in LCD display. Some tests shows that Kraken 360 is better. There is 280mm version of Kraken too. Is there big diffrence between 280mm and 360mm AIO?

HI!! so ive recently got my pc built the specs im running will be put below, the main issues im coming across is games crashing after 30-45mins go gameplay and it happens with a wide range of games from days gone, the divison2,new world, valorant, apex legends, call of duty mw2, age of empires 4, i even took it back to the store that built it for me and they upgraded me to windows 11 at no cost it seemed to help for a day or two but it still happens.. the random restarts tend to happen randomly i havent been able to narrow down why, things ive done, reinstalled windows 11 properly and clean, redownloaded drivers properly and clean, the pc store did a full pc wipe and clear then redownload aswell. if anyone has ideas why this could be happening i would love to know, i was thinking of calling some pc tech people to come see why Intel Core i9-13900K 3 GHz 24-Core Processor TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-7200 CL34 Memory Corsair iCUE H150i RGB ELITE 65.57 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX LGA1700 Motherboard Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive Crucial MX500 2 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200 RPM Internal Hard Drive x2 Asus TUF GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB Video Card Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic ATX Full Tower Case Corsair RM1000x (2021) 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Lian Li UNI SL120 58.54 CFM 120 mm Fans (9 fans in total in the case)

Look I get random fps drops for absolutely no reason in gta V and I have a decently low GPU and CPU usage so I'm wondering what the problem can be here any idea ? This is in 1080p 165hz btw. Here is the average that MSI Afterburner was showing in this video : GPU : 40°C 40% CPU : 70°C 20% https://imgur.com/a/J4enutr

Hi there, I've just got my 13900ks and installed it under it NH-D15 with a nice thermal grizzly kryonaut layer between, and to make sure everything was fine I've run a cinebench r23 test. I've tested it on an open bench setup, but my ram is a bit too tall to perfectly fit the second fan which is around 1cm higher than it should. As soon as the test start, the temp goes to 90°C and 100°C few secondes after. None of the core went above 5600MHz (and throttle around 5500 after the 100°C hit) and my score is way bellow average at 37767. Under no load and even right after a cinestress, it goes back to 35°C Compared to other people with similar setup it felt like I'm missing a bit of my CPU The score I get is way more than enough, but as some other seem to be able to go up to 40kpoints in the same setup make me think I may have missed something. Is that normal?

Summary A report from DigiTimes in Taiwan says Intel has decided to slash the prices of its 12th Generation ‘Alder Lake’ Core processors by up to 20%. The source indicates that this price cut will be to encourage orders/boost demand, with hints that the cuts will affect both desktop and laptop CPUs. On top-tier products, the cuts could mean a price cut of up to $130 per processor. Quotes My thoughts I see this as a logical move by Intel, as AM4 is still very compelling option for most individuals. You can get an adequate B550 board, Ryzen 5 5600, and 16-32GB 3200MHz kit of DDR4 for a stellar price. By cutting the prices of Alder Lake/12th Gen by 20%, this makes going Intel a more persuasive alternative. I see Zen 4/AM5 and 13th Gen as very competitive, giving the edge to Intel. Nonetheless, this move by Intel will make previous Gen also very competitive. I'm not sure if this is still on track, but there was supposed to be a Raptor Lake refresh coming later in the year, allegedly Q3 2023. If this is true, it's possible Intel is trying to clear 12th Gen stock before Raptor Lake refresh launches to compete with Zen 4 7000X3D chips. Hello dear hardware boffins, I'm looking at the T lineup of intel CPUs. The 12900T seems to turbo to the same level (on paper) as a 12700 - but for still lower TDP. Would this mean that during gaming I get the same performance, but a lower power usage? Is there a real drawback here (besides the price, but I upgrade every 8-10 years, so I'm OK with spending extra for efficiency + longevity)? Do you have any real experience or did you see any real comparison of the two under similar workloads? (Quick search came up empty on this.) Do I assume right that lower power = lower temp = longer life? One more thing, I would love if I could continue using this CPU for 8+ years, now with a 4060-ish card for 1080 60 gaming, maybe a more serious GPU in 4-5 years. Am I missing something important? Thank you!

Budget (including currency): hopefully under 3,000 usd Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: strictly gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I need help figuring out what’s the best parts to go with my new build with a Msi 3090 ti, a 12900kf cpu, and an asus ROG strix z690-a motherboard (ddr4). Looking for good recommendations on ram, and m.2 drives. Also am looking to get an ARCTIC liquid freezer II 360 argb cooler but am open to any and all recommendations on if any other coolers work better. The power supply is asus rog strix 1000w gold and the case is the Corsair 4000d. Nothing is purchased yet so these parts are all interchangeable

Budget (including currency): $6000 CAD (Budget is flexible, I'm more focused on performance) Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Streaming/recording game footage (Minecraft, but probably others once I actually have a good computer), and game development (Blender, Unity) Other details: OS: Windows 11 Pro Upgrading from 2007 Macbook, so an upgrade is definitely in order. Monitors: 1 1440p 240hz G7, 2 1080p monitors, all preferably on DP FPS: 120 while streaming and recording Buy: By the end of the year. Current part list: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/Sergeant_Ranger/saved/#view=Q8kPJx (NOTE: On part list, the 3090 Ti is just a placeholder, I will actually be buying a 40-series like the 4080 Ti) currently adds up to $5547.68 CAD. (I may go with a cheaper second M.2 ssd, or put off buying it if need be) Sanity check before actually starting buying the parts next week (gpu will have to wait on Nvidea's release date ig). I went with the F series motherboard because I don't do overclocking, so the E series seemed a bit overkill. On PcPartPicker, the Compatibility Check gives a warning that the PCIe 16-pin connector would be supplied by 3 6+2 pin connectors, but I couldn't find any power supplies with different PCIe connectors that would work better. (And yes, I did consider custom water loops instead of AIO, but I'm not even sure where to start with a custom loop.) Hopefully my list isn't too insane.

Good day currently I have bought Noctua NH-D15 not Chromax to my i9 12900k variant Location Temp: Philippines Location Temp: 35-41 °C°F Room Temp: 35-41 °C°F No Aircon just electric fan my concern is my IDLE is around 40-50°C°F and at max performance it is thermal throttling 100°C°F sometimes above . I am using Noctua thermal paste. free with the NH-D15 what seems to be a problem? Do the Noctua NH-D15 cant handle the 12900k? should I change or switch to a better AIO?? but I have a phobia in AIO or should a change the thermal paste? my case is TUF GT-301 and fan setup is 3intake front 2top fan out and the rear fan out I upload screenshot of my system idle and max performance.. thankyou in advance for advice.

I found this weird cpu on ebay when looking for a i9-9900k. It is a i9-10980HK ES soldiered to an LGA 1151 adapter board to make it work for motherboards supporting intel Gens 6-10 cpus. It requires a special modified bios to work. looks crazy it says it can get up to 4.8ghz and some can overclock up to 5.5ghz all cores. I dont know if it is all bs or actually sounds like a fun project.

Hello all! My first time creating a post so I hope I’m doing this correctly. I’m looking at purchasing a new higher-end laptop for work and would love help choosing. This will also be my first actual laptop. I currently use an iPad Pro M1 with the keyboard cover for online work (email, documents, etc.) as well as to remote into my current rig when I’m not home which is used for my actual work (video/photo editing (Adobe), 3D animation (some in After Effect/C4D, but mostly in Unreal Engine), motion graphics (After Effects), and music production (Presonus Studio One). On top of my old rig needing an upgrade, as you can image, there are many problems with this setup as well. Therefore, I would love to get the best of both worlds by purchasing a new, higher-end laptop. I attached a Newegg comparison chart, hopefully y’all can see it. At first, I looked at the new Gigabyte Aero 16 and Aero 17 and figured I only have to choose between the mini-LED and the OLED displays (thoughts on that as well would be appreciated). However, I later looked at the TDP of the 3080 Ti on the laptops and saw that it was a bit low at 105W max. I then found the MSI Raider GE76 and found that the TDP of the GPU is 175W max. Not long after, I found the Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 at 150W but for ~$1k cheaper. Why is it ~$1k cheaper other than the CPU being the 12900H vs the 12900HK? My laptop preferences are: - Amazing, color accurate display for content creation - OLED or Micro-LED would be absolutely lovely! - Intel i9 12900H(K) - is there much of a performance difference between the 12900H vs 12900HK? - 3080 ti & 16gb GDDR6 with a higher TDP - battery life is almost irrelevant; sound isn’t a big deal either as I mostly use headphones or have loud music - 32gb ram that’s later expandable to 64gb. - Expandable internal NVME storage would be nice My budget is around $4,200, but I am willing to go up to $4,500 if it has everything I’m looking for. For example, I’m willing to pay for a better display. On the other side of the coin however, I would also love to save money if the sacrifices are worth it. For instance, if the Scar has similar performance to something that is $1k more and the only difference is the worse screen, I’ll simply get an external display for color grading at a later date. If there is another laptop that you can recommend, I am all ears. Thanks for any help and suggestions! Laptop Comparison.pdf

Budget (including currency): 2000 AUD Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly for coding, compiling and running IDEs like android studio, IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, WebStorm, VSCode, probably a little server running in the background, maybe a proxy server. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I want to assemble the PC completely in the coming week, not focusing on graphics card; I want to invest that money in a better CPU, RAM, M.2 SSDs and also 2 good screens.

Currently I have i7 7700K and GTX 1080. I am planning to upgrade this year either with Ryzen 7 7900X or i9 13900K depending which ever come 1st RTX 4090 when ever it comes out this year I am thinking to buy the 1300W PSU and the Fractal Torrent Case 1st if they go on sale before the new chip launch. As in the rumors its been said RTX 4090 it can take upto 500W so 1300W PSU should be safe bet i am guessing. Guys let me know your thoughts so i can plan my future build Thanks in advance

I wan't to build a powerful PC with i9 12900k. I am not a gamer so I don't feel a need to have a powerful graphics card but I want to connect 3 monitors to my pc. As on the intel's website it says that integrated graphics can support upto 4 monitors but most of the motherboard have only 2 HDMI ports. Any suggestions on how can I connect 3 monitors with integrated graphics.

I recently upgraded to the i9-12900k and I am having nothing but issues keeping my temps under 90c when under heavy load, at idle I see normal temps around 30c. I changed the cooling hardware setting in bios to a box cooler even though I am running a 360 AIO so that way it would limit my wattage. I saw in a forum that you could set a wattage power limit and it could remedy the temp issues with about a 5% performance loss, but I am unable to find the option to set a wattage limit within my bios. I was never really one to overclock and mess with voltage or anything, but now I need to underclock and I am kind of lost. Any help is appreciated! TYIA.

I'm waiting for my i9-11900k to arrive, and I will need to have the BIOS updated in order to use it. However I don't have another lga1200 CPU to use in place of it in order to update the BIOS. The motherboard is an MSI Z490 MEG ACE, and it does support M-Flash, however I've seen a few people mention the risk of bricking the MB and it just got me wondering about what the best way to resolve this is. The other issue is that there is no video out on the MB, so I'm unsure if I need to have the GPU installed in order to see what the BIOS is doing. Any help and advice would be hugely appreciated.
