Hi everyone! So my PC is connected to my TV and I play laid down in the couch, meaning that in order to avoid having cables going from one side of the room to the other I must go wireless for mouse, keyboard, headphones and joystick. At the moment I rely on Xbox One controllers (works flawlessly), Bose QC35 ii headphones (ditto) and I use the Logitech Mk220 for mouse and keyboard and these ones don't have a very good connection, the only way they work flawlessly is if I plug the dongle on a USB extension and get it as close and straight as possible to the peripherals (I'm sitting about 2 mts or 6 ft from the TV to the couch at most). I've looked for other mouse and keyboard combos that use only one dongle as I don't want lots of different USB dongles interfering into each other or populating all my USB I/O but didn't find anything worth it. I've been wandering the web looking for some kind of wireless USB transmitter/receiver combo to use a regular mouse and keyboard connected to it but I didn't find any product of such. Does anyone have any recommendation for the wireless mouse/keyboard combo or the wireless USB hub thingo? Basically, the golden rules for the suggestions are the following: 1) Must be a wireless solution. Not throwing a long USB extension to the other side of the room in order to plug a regular USB hub there. 2) Single dongle mouse & keyboard. 2) Out of the box or friendly solution for the wireless USB hub. Thanks in advance!!

So i've been cleaning up my setup a bit and decided to plug my Corsair Strafe RGB and M65 Pro into my monitor hub instead of straight to my pc so i can use a thinner, longer cable The hub is USB 2 and the monitor is at least 12 years old. Would doing this add any latency? I haven't noticed any so far and my mouse hasn't had an issue maintaining a 1000hz 1ms pulling rate.

Howdy folks! So I made an account here specifically to ask this question, since I suspect you're quite a savvy bunch and might be able to help me out. So I picked up a Redragon Ironhide case the other day - I really found its appearance and number of fans quite appealing. It has six Redragon GC-F008 fans - four for the intake on the front and two for the exhaust on tha back. It also has room to install six more fans - 3 at the top and 3 above the PSU/hdd compartment. I bought 6 more GC-F008s just to find out taht they totally can't be placed blade-down because of their propeller-like protrusion that completely prevents this (bad design!) and I surmised that using spacing screws wouldn't be the best idea, as that would interfere with proper airflow and possibly even screw with my motherboard. So I installed at the very least the first 3 fans at the top for exhaust, then I broke one of the other 3 ones trying to saw off its protrusion. I was almost done, but then I tried to hammer in the little axis a bit too hard and broke whatever plastic was left holding the blades together. So I'm stuck with 2 GC-F008 fans I can't really use, because the fans above the PSU compartment should be drawing air, not expelling it. I'll try to pawn those two fans, but in the meantime I have a few questions: - Since a single hub of Redragon's can only support up to 10 fans, can I use a second hub for the remaining six? Will both the hubs react to a single remote if their IR receivers are both in the line of the signal? - Will a GC-F008 hub and remote be compatible with GC-F006 fans? Or other fans from a different manufacturer altogether? I know the F008s have a few presets that F006's don't have, so how would it all look if I tried controlling those two different types of fans with a single remote? I'm really set on having all those 12 fans in my new case, even if they don't perfectly match right off the bat. The hub question is the most important for now. Please advise what I should do here!

I'm designing a custom case, and want to trick it out with a whole host of RGB components. Long time builder, but this is my first time doing custom RGB coordination in a custom case. My RGB components: 7 EKWB Vardar RGB fans, 120mm EKWB RGB monoblock (Intel) EKWB RGB video card block (RTX 2080 ti) RGB strip for external case features (36") RGB strip for the midplate (16") RGB strips for the inside of the case (2x 16") RGB SSD covers (x3) RGB video card backplate cover Asus Z370i mITX motherboard G.Skill TridentZ RGB RAM (x2) I have no idea what to select for RGB hub(s)/controller(s). I would prefer if I could run everything from inside Windows with a single interface, but realize this might not be possible. I also realize there might not be a hub/controller capable of handling everything all at once. I'm open to suggestions, I would really love to make this work.

I recently bought a new ThinkPad X1 Carbon which came with a Thinkpad USB-C Hub. When I plugged it into my Asus Vivobook (which has a USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port) into the hub, which was connected to a display via VGA, the Laptop (The Asus Vivobook) refused to output video through the hub onto the display. The weird part is that the hub still works with that Asus laptop like when I plug a mouse into the hub, it connects to the laptop, but just video output doesn't work. The Hub's drivers are all installed, and everything is connected properly. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Okay, so I've recently moved apartments however my ISP is being slow with activating my line, so I was wondering if I would be able to use my mobile as an ethernet hub too my pc. I know you can connect your android devices to a modem etc through ethernet to connect to the internet but can it work in the opposite direction and if so how? My 4g is spotty inside the flat so the plan was to leave my phone in an are with good connection (which is in another room) and run the ethernet from there to my pc Thoughts?

I would like to utilize a few of the fans (140mm Phantek SP) that came with my chassis. (Evolv X) But if you determine there's a conflict with VC/PWM I'll fit all PWM fans. I purchased three Noctua 2,000 RPM 140mm ippc fans for front intake which are the 4-pin PWM variety. The Phantek SP fans aren't terrible but they are 3-pin fans. They will be positioned for top exhaust. I'm utilizing a Deepcool FH10 (Ten-Port) PWM fan hub in this build. Can I hookup my PWM fans and voltage control fans to one Deepcool PWM fan hub and have speed control on the non PWM fans as well? Would it be wiser to utilize the case's fan hub (rather sub-par but has a few three pin connections) for the 3 pin fans, and use my Deepcool unit for solely the 4-Pin PWM fans? Motherboard is Asus X470 Hero VII. Thank you!

i am looking for real world recommendations on a 6+ port usb 3 hub. prefer externally powered. the ones ive tried either work great for about 2 months then fail or have major issues from the beginning, such as ports not working above usb 2 speeds (even when only a single drive is in use). i have an inline usb power meter ive used to verify i am not overloading the hubs ive tried. so many RMAs..

Recently purchased a Samsung 4k monitor with DisplayPort input for use with Macbook Pro... then purchased a USB C to DisplayPort Cable (4K@60Hz) which works beautifully. However, if I want to charge the MBP at the same time, have to use another usb-c port which looks messy! The reason for this post, is am struggling to track down a HUB which, as the title, provides... USB C input / output USB C power input USB C Video output to 4k@60hz So in essence, would plug the hub into a single port on the MacBook, then plug in the MBP pro's charger into one of its USB-C inputs to provide charging and then plug in a USB C to DisplayPort cable, connecting the hub to the monitor, again to guarantee 4k at 60hz Make sense? Anyone have this setup? If not, provide any links to such a hub?

Hi All, I have a switchable USB hub (UGREEN 30767) that feeds 2 computers (both Win7). This hub switches my wireless keyboard & mouse (Logitech MK550) between the two computers. The problem is when I switch, it takes 25s plus for the PCs to detect the keyboard and mouse. It appears that Windows does some driver detection business every time I switch which takes a while. I've noticed that if I switch back and forth at the windows login screen before I've logged in, it is very quick to pick the keyboard & mouse back up, but not after I've logged into windows. Does anyone know if I can somehow force/trick windows into not removing the devices and thus not having to re-detect and install them every time I switch PCs? Or perhaps some other workaround to make the switch very snappy? Thanks all! Andrew.

Hi, I own a Acer Spin 11 Chromebook that will soon be turned into a media player. I'm covered video-wise, thanks to a cheap hub with all the video outs that I need. Main problem is audio, since my only audio out is currently the headphone jack. I wish to be able to plug the Chromebook to my old but trusty sound system, preferably digitally. Anyone could recommend a not-too-expensive-thanks USB-C hub or adapter that : offers a TOSLINK out is known to have zero issue with a Chromebook Thanks!

Hey guys, i've been having fun with my ITX build(my wallet hasn't, though), and while i'm mostly happy with everything(wraith max crappy rgb aside), there's something that's been plaguing my brain with doubt: DC and PWM fans, specially when using a fan hub. A while ago i changed my riotoro cr280 for a fractal design define nano S(great little case, if you cant get something smaller), i had bought 3 120mm id-cooling PWM fans, which were working relatively well(really noisy), but the nano s came with 2 140mm on front and a 120mm on the back, all from fractal design, so i switched to those. still i lost the ability to configure the curves, because the fans are DC. If i connect one of my PWM fans in the first port of the hub, i get to configure it, but i'm afraid that might cause problems for the other fans (maybe spin faster that they should? dunno). Now i'm thinking if i should get 2 120mm and 2 140mm phanteks PWM fans to replace my actual ones, but still the 120mm have a diferent max RPM than the 140mm ones. So i'm not sure, i feel i should have 2 hubs, one for 140mm and one for 120mm fans(which i cant because my mobo has 1 chasis fan header other than AIO pump and CPU). Also i'm kinda worried the hub will cause more problems than benefits(it's not sata powered, only connects to the fan header), maybe i should get a fan controller? if so, which one can you guys recommend? in case i didn't explain myself well enought(which i think i didnt) TL; DR;: i dont know if: 1. it's worth using a PWM fan over a DC fan. 2. the main fan on a fan hub can cause the other fans any problems(specially if they are DC and the main one is PWM, or if all are PWM, if the size/specifications are diferent) 3. what's the ideal situation for using more fans than the mobo has headers, is a fan hub good enough? should i get a fan controller? Thanks

Hi, I am new in this forum, I want to add my case 3 fans but I am not sure if they will control their speed because I will use a fan splitter (because I only have 1 system-fan), is a good idea use the fan splitter or should I get a hub fan controller (wich one?)? (Btw, the fans might be some Arctic F14/ Coolermaster sickflow 12blue or Noctua NF-P12 redux because my budget is like 40-50 usd) (Sorry for my grammar)

in this difficult time where a lot of us are relegated to our homes for work we all grasp to find the perfect work from home set up. The problem i've run into has to do with my desk setup. I have a work laptop and a desktop as well as 2x 1440p monitors a keyboard and a mouse. I want to be able to dock my work laptop but share my peripherals with my desktop. Due to the use of a VPN i cannot use synergy to share my keyboard and mouse. One option i could think of is to use a usb switch hub and a dock this may work but could cause issues. Optimally i'd like to find a dock that has a built in peripheral switch with either 2 usb B ports or 2 USB a ports allowing me to switch between the 2 devices. it would be nice if they had HDMI or DP switches built in as well so i can switch between them but its not a big deal to switch both the usb hub and monitor input. Does anyone have any suggestions or ways around it?

Are there any 3+ USB port hubs currently on the market that are powered by PCI-E alone? I don't care if its a x1 or x16 form factor but the big niche of a hub that I'm looking for is that it does not need an external power cable. Being picky so I can manage the cables properly both inside and outside my case. Thinking something along the lines of this Chinese board (Newegg.ca), but just significantly more reliable.

Hi everyone! So have gaming peripherals (listed exactly below) and they do not have enough cable length for my setup so i'm looking to buy a usb hub so i can connect everything properly. I searched for a few and the Tp-Link UH720 cought my eyes and i am wondering if this will be enough data speed so i don't get latency on my mouse and keyboard. Peripherals: - Razer Blackwidow chrome (both usb connected to the hub and the port on the keyboard has a pqi fingerprint scanner) - Razer Mamba elite - Razer Goliathus chroma - Razer seiren elite

I'm stuck on this debate in which one to get to control my case fans I'm going to be running five case fans and not sure which one to get. I was looking at the Corsair commando pro. Any ones you guys suggest that I can use that the fans will run off pwm controls.

Budget (including currency): Kind of depends. I'd like to keep it medium-ranged, but if I have to buy 200€ in fans in order to keep my PC from boiling half of my face, I will, slowly. Country: Portugal Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: MMORPG/MOBA games, streaming; light video editing. Other details: Right now, my new build consists of a LianLi PC-O11 Dynamic Black case, a B550 Taichi motherboard from AsRock, with a 3900X, 32GB of G.Skill Trident Z 3466Mhz CL18, a Gaming X Trio 2080 Super, a Fractal Design Ion+ 860W Platinum PSU, a 500gb MP600 and a 4TB HDD. For peripherals I'm using Corsair's K55 RGB keyboard and the Scimitar Pro mouse. My primary display is a 27" IPS 144Hz monitor from Ozone. _______"____________ Right now my problem is how to cool it all down. The PC-O11 has room for 9 fans and I'd like to populate all 9 of them. I saw Dmitry from Hardware Canucks doing some configurations, where he used a 360 Corsair AIO and 6 Corsair ML120 fans, connected to a Corsair Commander Pro. The thing is, the 2 AIO's I'm torn on are Fractal Design's Celsius+ S36 (for it's simplicity and cable free environment) or the NZXT Kraken Z73 (for it's cool display). However, I'm not sure how to connect all the other 6 fans AND control their colors, since the Commander Pro (the RGB software control) only works with Corsair fans. I do love the looks of the AER RGB fans from NZXT, and I can get a pack of them with the Hue for the lighting, but the AER only have light on one side, so I don't know how I'd make it look good both on exhaust and intake. Also, the NZXT hub only has 3PWM fans and I can't find the Grid. What do I do? How do I hook up the AIO + 6 more fans and still control their RPM and color? Is Corsair my only option?

Hey there I am an IT student with a gaming laptop, I use it for college and gaming. I was wondering if I could get any help with buying the right hub so that when I come home from college I can easily plug only one cable to my computer, in contrast to plugging 7 cables every single day, moreover I don't really have a good place to put my laptop, I put it under my desk... so it's really inconvenient for me. So there's 2 hubs I can't choose between. 1. There's the regular USB Type-C @ 10 Gbps 2. And there's the monster Thunderbolt 3 with 40 Gbps What I'm working with is the following: 1. A monitor @ 240 Hz (currently using 60 Hz though, but upgrade is happening not so long from now) 2. A (mechanical keyboard) keyboard 3. Gaming mouse 4. Some headphones 5. External speaker monitors 6. Ethernet RJ-45 cable 7. And of course power; I believe it's possible to charge through Thunderbolt 3 your system, but I'm not sure My laptop is Thunderbolt 3 compatible so it would be no problem to use a Thunderbolt 3 hub. If the model of my laptop would give any help: MSI Stealth Thin I'd appreciate any helpful answers. ~Symon

So i know that this question has been asked numerous times but i can't find a firm, 100% stand-behind-it answer Do i connect the fan hub to the chassis fan slot on the mobo (Asus Prime B360-Plus) or do i connect the cpu cooler to the hub and connect the hub to the cpu cooler slot on the mobo? Additionally, are there any other smart ways to utilise the fan hub effectively? Best Regards

Hey all -- co worker has a MAC -- one of those fancy ones w/o IO. Needs a hub -- been burned by j5 many times. Any suggestions?

Hey Guys, So I have recently purchased a Razer Blade Stealth 8th gen, which is great, loving it so far. I have bought an Alogic USB C superdock ( https://www.alogic.co/alogic-usb-c-portable-super-dock-with-power-delivery-prime-series-black.html ) this model here and have plugged it all in with my mouse, kb and headset, all working fine. However, as soon as I plug my laptops charger into the hub, my peripherals start cutting out, the power to them seems to cut in and out very frequently rendering them useless. I have taken the hub back and had it replaced however this has not helped. Was wondering if there is something possibly wrong with my laptop or am I missing something with the USB C connection here. Cheers for the help
