Hello, recently I got a ryzen 5 3600 and I’m using the stock cooler and I looked at the temps in nzxt cam, it says that it’s running at 70 degrees on idle. What do I do? Should I reinstall the cooler? Help would be very appreciated! Edit: I restarted my pc and now its showing from 53-63 on idle.

This lenovo X1 Extreme Gen2 was purchased under two years ago, after it was first release as THE FLAGSHIP OF THE LENOVO BUSINESS LAPTOPS And it has run like crap ever since. DOA, Return to base numerous times, MS updates that killed features that required me to wait or find new drivers, but even with new drivers and bios flashes.. some security features still wont work. Then I paid for PREMIER ON SITE SUPPORT (Say that with an echo) and my IR camera went but that fix was dodgy, my speakers died.. one anyway but in this.. they are conjoined twins. Then when I finally wanted to use it for what it was designed for.. RUNNING photoshop and premier.. NO WAY HOSE) (not racist.. yo hablo espanol) and well.. on the phone support no good so they booked a service guy to replace the heat sink unit and their own thermal paste. The tech guy who arrived had not finished puberty yet.. brought what random thermal paste was in their shop as lenovo did not send any (how surprising) he swapped the heat sink and fans out (mine were just fine ayway), applied thermal paste in the process.. and nothing really changed. But ironically it was BETTER than was it is now after it went back to base after that visit. Reason it went back to base.. I have no faith in the onsite service people turning up (I was a sys admin and ran my own PC build sales service co years back.. like Windows 2000 back) and the tech support guys only suggestion was to put in a new mother board sending it up here for these same tech guys to put in who refused to stick around whilst I called Lenovo to continue trouble shooting as Lenovo told me they were supposed to do. What a "Balls up". So it went back to lenovo correctly packed and correctly bios downpowered. Only to return improperly packed esp no plastic bag over the machine in the package.. it was just shoved between two blocks of foam, then shoved in its box. And the internal battery was not powered down as per shipping requirements. Not to mention one part was lodged up on the empty ram slot clearly in the wrong position a white outline is actually painted on the board for it. And even put back.. the cover is sitting up on some of the board components that I suspect are welded too high off the board. Yeh.. I did electronics as a kid So the entire thing now feels like a kit I might have ordered from some random chinese store and had to self assemble, but like all kits.. never really fits together properly. And in the video you can see just how HOT it gets running NOTHING. And then what it does when I run something. I also show the Lenovo service form.. clearly someone lied when that was written. Do they just copy and pate this into all service jobs ? So Lenovo just called me and want me to send this to one of their "off site" level 2 tech guys. He's probably off site because of our Australian covid LOCKDOWN rules on the evil non vaxxed. So... what do you guys think the problem could be ? Let me know, or request some pictures, video etc. Just dont ask me to remove any parts as that would void the warranty.

I just purchased a 5700G and plan to use it occasionally to render videos. I have tested it a few times, and each time it gets up to about 91 degrees in about 10 minutes of 100% load. I'm very concerned that something is not functioning right, but am unsure of what the issue is. I know that the stock cooler wouldn't be great, but I never would have guessed it would get anywhere near that hot. I have already tried removing and reseating the cooler and changing the thermal paste with no improvement. All Bios settings have been left on auto. I'm figuring I'll have to drop the extra $50-100 on a better cooler, but wanted to check and see if there may be something else at issue as well. Hello i'm new to this website but a big fan of Linus so sorry for anything i dont fol. So basically i undervolted my gpu because its been getting to about 83 cel while playing let me just state that im not happy with that temp. I undervolted but still gaming at 80cel and so on. Personally i dont think its an okay temp to game at. So i need a little help. Any suggestions for cooling that wont involve sacrificing performance. i would like to get my gpu to atleast like 75 -70 while gaming. The things i would like some help on is fan curves general tips for airflow and things i probably wouldnt know. I have an M atx case with like atleast 2 inches of room under the gpu. also i would not like any suggestions that cost money. Feeling the top of my gpu it gets pretty hot. Thanks.

I've upgraded my PC recently a heavy duty upgrade I had the money so I figured I'd go for it and future proof myself a bit. I got an I9-10900k and msi 3060ti I put them in and after some trouble shooting everything ended up working fine. My main concern is that my I9 Temps get up there like in the low to mid 70s (celsius) if I'm gaming like control ultimate edition. I'm using a cooler master master air ma620m dual tower in a corsair icue 4000x case. I dont have any fans on the top yet(I know I need to get more I just haven't had the cash for the ones I want). I know that about 75 C° isn't probably going to be a huge problem and will lower once I get the fans but I'm concerned because I'm not really using the cpu all that heavily. It's not at 100 percent usage it's using like 15 to 25 percent at most and just seems odd to me that the Temps are so high. I used like a fat little grain of rice worth of thermal paste and I used the thermal paste from my old noctua nh d15. Any insight is appreciated.

So I was on a GTX1080, 3 fans. One fan was dead, and played on the GPU for a year on 2 fans. It was fine, temps were reaching 82deg max. Then another fan died, So, I've recently changed GPU to a RTX3060, 2 fans. In my follow-up monitoring of temps, I noticed the GPU is understandably much cooler and barely reaches 75deg C under heavy load. However, to my surprise, I noticed the CPU is reaching 95deg C. That's a i7 7700 and I have a custom air cooler (Thermaltake rgb ring silent 12). I also have a ramped up custom fan curve in the bios. So it shouldn't be that hot. I went and bought a new tube of thermal paste the Grizzly Aeronaut. It's a good paste, not the best. Applied it (X shape application), the temps still goes up to 90deg C. I went and bought the premium Grizzly Kryonaut which is designed for high end CPUs and/or extreme overclocking. Applied it (X shape application), the temps still went up to 89deg C. It should be noted that I am using the HWMonitor CPUID software. I keep it open to monitor everything. I go load many games and play and monitor temps on the window on another monitor. The max of 89deg C was probably a spike during loading or many tasks. During gaming, I didn't see it go above 81deg. I do still think though that those are very high temps for a regular i7 7700 (non K), a custom cooler and a ramped up CPU fan curve. The case has 3 input fans and 1 exhaust fans. The case is Xigmatec Venom X. (Why did I tell you about the GPU you might be thinking. Well call me crazy, but I was asking myself if the older gpu running at near constant 80deg, and now the new gpu running at around 65 to 70deg, so I was asking myself if that could affect the cpu temps since the gpu is exhausting most of the temps now unlike the old gpu, so maybe that could make the cpu hotter since they are pretty close one to the other??) Pic attached showing the installation of the components in my case (open case during thermal paste application).

I got a GPU with an AIO which I mounted on the top with the intent of pushing the hot hair out. Initially all the cooling was plugged together on the GPU+aio(godlike solution asus) for it, but I rerouted the fans of the radiator to the motherboard so I could have them spin constantly. The blower fan of the GPU is still set to 0 rpm though and it only turns on at 59c, but the gpu does not go above 50c so it never turns on. Now the top of the case gets hot when I play a game, and overall temps are all higher than before. Like the aio of the cpu shows 36c for liquid temperature which is almost the same level I had when my room temp was 35c, so it's gonna get really bad when summer comes by again. chipset temps are also around 10c higher than with my last normal blower gpu Same goes for the primary SSD Will it be cooler if I set the blower fan to also run despite the gpu being around 40c or just unlucky having a gpu radiator as exhaust? Or do I just need set a fan curve for the radiator exhaust fans that go a lot higher? It could also be because the top of my case is kind of shit. I have a dark base pro 900 This is literally all I get for top exhaust I'm not really good at modifications but I already did some changes to the case, so if I have to make some I could try as long as it doesn't end up looking like shit

Hi everyone, I recently built a PC with the Ryzen 5 5600x, and everything runs great except for the CPU. It will consistently reach temperatures of around 96C whenever I play any games, and will sometimes reach 85C while sitting idle on desktop tasks, usually sitting in the mid 60s with no tasks running whatsoever. I have tried everything, from adjusting curves to disabling PBO to buying an aftermarket fan, and nothing seems to have worked-in fact, with my aftermarket fan my temps are barely any better than with the stock cooler. I also added 3 exhaust fans, and have the cooler set in push-pull, with plenty of clearance all around the PC. I'm lost as to what the cause of this could be because despite hearing that Ryzen CPUs are rated for up to 90C it surely can't be good for it to constantly operate above that whenever operating any games. These temps are consistent across Hwinfo, Ryzen Master and Icue's temp tracker. Any help or explanation would be greatly appreciated.

So I was helping my sister with her laptop fixing her camera on the laptop however whilst looking in the task manager the gpu looks extremely hot. This is on the Vega 3 graphics. Is this normal for a laptop just watching a video? Like my desktop gpu only idles at 38 degrees yet this laptop gpu idles at 60 degrees

Hello, I recently purchased a PowerSpec G167 from Micro Center and was wondering if I could make any fan upgrades and such to better the airflow of my PC, this is my first high end PC so I am unsure what to expect from temps coming from a system that had a 1050ti and an i5 that never really got hot or anything and always stayed around 45c. I tried out a couple games on my new PC and found out its a little bit too loud when the fans spool up and it gets a bit too warm for my comfort. I want to keep my system cool and minimize the noise level with am extra fan or so, is it recommended or is it normal for my PC to be a little too warm? I don't hear as much when the fans spool up when im playing a game with my headset on but I am kind of worried and would like to prevent overheating as much as possible.

Hi I got a custom loop pc built for me by a UK supplier. The first 5950x I got with it had to be RMAed for constant shutdowns at low power state. Got the new one and been running for a couple of months. RM is set to default. I have no overclock in bios. I do however get temps of 50c for 1% cpu usage and it will kick up to 85c or higher under load such as a game. GPU (3090) sits at 40c when idle and 60c under load. The supplier said this is in normal parameters for a 5950x. I am worried I am throttling and I have had shut down due to CPU hitting 95 on several occasions. My cooling is a 360 rad from Corsair for both CPU and GPU with a Lian Li distro plate running pump at constant 100%. I have attached the picture of the rig as provided by the shop. Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I have this oneplus 3t and I ws just using SoundCloud and suddenly turned off I thought maybe I accidentally did it and turned it on again (i ws walking with the phone in my right hand, the power button's right underneath my hand when I'm holding it like that and when you hold it the menu opens next to it around the skin under your thumb so there can be two accidental operations at the same time), got back to my music and it did the same thing again (i think it did that on its own even the first time), now when I hold the power button it does nothing (charging was around 50%) and when I put it on charging it turns on for a sec, vibrates and shut down and this cycle keeps going. I should also mention that I ran a few 3dmark benchmarks on it the results were really bad like my score was the worst out of every oneplus 3t that's been tested (also it gets really very hot that it becomes painful to the touch when playing PUBG) What's wrong with it can someone pls tell me that, any help would be appreciated

Hi everyone, So I built my first Ryzen PC the other day and im very concerned about how hot the CPU is getting. Its a Ryzen 5 3600 cooled by a Corsair H100X AiO. My room temp is around 24C and at idle the 3600 is at 40-50C which seems very hot. Cinebench gets the Ryzen 5 3600 up to 80-83C but not beyond that. When Gaming im anywhere from 60-75C Im coming from an old 32nm Xeon CPU which never ever exceeeded 60C under load so i would've thought a Ryzen would be cooler. I think the mounting pressure is high enough and I also tried reapplying the thermal paste which didn't change anything. My fan setup isn't terrible either. I have 3 intakes, 4 exhausts + the AiO which is also exhaust. I replaced the stock AiO fans with Arctic P12s btw. What am I doing wrong? I really wanna like this Computer but the temps are concerning to me. Is this really the way its supposed to be? Thanks in advance, Luis

I recently posted a thread where my pc did not start up link : now..after some search on my mobo....it seemed it had some kind of recovery mode with the jumpers...so i enabled that and my pc posted and successfully entered my bios(i did not yet install my cmos battery) i did a bios reset in the bios...everything was factory reseted with all the clock frequencies back to normal and memory frequencies back to normal....but then in the hardware monitoring section...the temps were really sus...my cpu never went more than 85c(after OC ) at peak loads and 60c(at stock settings) at peak load a i did not yet try a normal bootup....the recovery mode does not allow me to bootup normally (thats obvious)...i MY PC BOOTED UP PROPERLY...BUT THEN OPEN HARDWARE MONITOR TELLS THAT MY PC DID RUN HOT AT 105c ....idle is at 85c...usually the idle will be around 40c(with room temp around 35c) and 35c (with room temp around 25)...now my room temp is 29c...and the temps are around 95c which is is kinda sus...any reasons? my cooler is properly mounted with thermal paste on it... i am not sure is this amount of thermal paste enough BTW...IT WAS MY STOCK COOLER WHICH MADE MY CPU STAY AT 40C AT IDLE BEFORE THIS PROBLEM OCCOURED...AND I DID NOT DO A THERMAL PASTE CHANGE AFTER THAT my pc is around 11 years old...so it looks kinda messy

Hi all, Upgraded over Christmas to an i7 9700k. I have a Corsair H115i AIO in an IBP Snowblind S Case. Prior to my upgrade, from an i5 8400, I would sit at 70deg under load. I have noticed even if I leave my PC on during the day it ends up in the high 80s, low 90s even at times. Mostly when it creeps into the 90s, it will be under load, but I have caught it in the high 80s just idling. If I sleep my PC during the day, when it runs for a few hours under load when I am home, it sits in the 70s. I have dusted it a few times since, even reseated and pasted my CPU. Do I need a new AIO? Do I need to switch to a CPU fan? I have debated hardline water cooling, but now with the Snowblind S, I would hardly see it. My GPU rarely creeps over 50. Side Question- PC Blue screens whenever I move my Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 audio interface. Not that concerned with this as I can just you know, not touch it, but if anyone has encountered this before it would be greatly appreciated! TLDR: Specs CPU: i7 9700k GPU: 2060 8GB OC PSU: Thermaltake GOLD 750W RAM: 2x 8GB Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz cl16 AIO: Corsair H115i (2x 120mm rad) Case: IBP Snowblind S Thanks in advance for your help!

so i bought a new pc a month ago (specs in the image + an old 1050 ti) but i have a problem with the cooling of my CPU when i am using it a little bit the temp sits around 70 degrees Celsius and if i hit it hard it instantly spikes to 90 degrees. the cooler said it was for 150 watt TDP and my friend also said it was enough. i first thought it was my airflow so i installed a 3 extra fans (2 in the front and 1 on the cooler). this lowered the temp a little bit but it still hits 90 degrees. do you have any idea wat causes this and how i can fix it? Thanks.

Hi all, I run a Ryzen 5 3600 with the stock cooler on an Asus Prime X470 Pro, and after upgrading to the most recent chipset release (2.13.27.501) I seem to be running hotter than before. I checked temps in Ryzen Master, and got idle readings around 65°C (no other programs running) and game temps in excess of 75°C. I have ensured a good thermal paste application, that my cooler is tightened as much as possible, and that my PC has adequate cooling. I tried setting an "undervolt" in bios using PBO by setting the PPT to 70 (down from 88 stock), but the change doesn't seem to register in Ryzen Master. Side note: There appears to be 2 settings for PBO in bios - not sure if this is specific to Asus or not but I don't know which one to change/which one works. I've read of people having idle temps in the 30s WITH the Ryzen 5 3600 stock cooler and I can't seem to get anywhere near that. What gives? Any suggestions on how to lower temps with bios tweaks, Ryzen Master tweaks, etc? Thanks in advance

During loading screens my CPU temperature shoots up by a lot. On average in game -- the CPU is 40-50 degrees. However; Say I boot minecraft; and in the time it takes me to get to the minecraft start screen, the temperature had to be getting into the 80s before lowering back down. So what I did was lower down the VCORE 1.15. So temperatures now only get to 65/66 during loading. MSI afterburner tells me the cpu is using 70-100 watts of power during that time of loading. The TDP of the CPU says its 65 watts. I applied fresh thermal paste back in October. is there something going on with my CPU? CPU: i7 8700 CPU Cooler: Criorig m9i Motherboard: Asus Prime h310 Plus Power Supply: 500w

So today I've been running for 6 hours now and without any gaming just youtube my cpu has got to 75 degrees. This is really strange because just been watching yt vids at a room temp of 23 and outside of 29 is this ok? It is a Ryzen 3 3200g with stock cooler.

My CPU temps are jumping up and down randomly, also, lately my pc has been shutting off in a strange way, it just stops sending video output tho every fan is still spinning. I think I should put more cooling on my CPU or change the cooler (Currently relying on the stock cooler) but I don't see it as a priority but tell me if you think I should. My temps are between 60-80 °C and jumping erratically. Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Video Card: XFX Radeon RX 570 4 G Case: Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L MicroATX Power Supply: Thermaltake Smart 500 W 80+ Keep in mind I have no extra fans besides the one in the rear of my case. Can't afford rn sorry. My workload comes down to playing valorant, LoL and very seldomly playing AAA games such as Sekiro or Senua's Sacrifice. I live in D.R. tho, so average temps here are around 88°F/ 31°C and don't have an AC in my room.

This post will cover two problems in one that I've been having The first will be about how my NZXT case (I believe) has been causing me problems. I have had nonstop crashes that have occurred as far back as December of 2019. I have since then done multiple things to get rid of these crashes and so far, have had a mostly stable pc since summer of this year. However, a new set of crashes have been occurring. I noticed after a while that my CPU fans would get real fast before each of crashes, so I decided to replace the thermal paste. While I believe this may have solved the crashing, my pc still gets relatively high temperatures. Keep in mind that this is while idle, I had not played any game and my CPU still gets idle temps of 60 degrees and gpu idle at 60 (no fan). I think this might be an issue with my case, so I am asking is there anyway I could improve this? Would there be a way to keep using an NZXT case without having my PC crash As for my second issue, I really don't know whats causing it. My psu fans are really loud. Not that my psu is mounted incorrectly because the noise doesn't sound like its from the vibrations. The noise I hear the most is the sound of the air being scooped under from the psu as well as the fans spinning. Is there anyway to reduce this noise? By the way, the pc is setup up on my desk near me. Hey! I need some serious help. My rig has always ran hot but I have never really been good at understanding what are normal operating temps for a system (this is my first build) I have had the rig for a year and my system operates in the ranges of 75-99 degrees Fahrenheit. I know that these temps are pretty high now and I just want to figure out how I can solve the issue. I’m running an AMD Ryzen 3700x with a Corsair h100i rgb cooler for it. My graphics card is an MSI TRIO RTX 2080 super. I’m fairly sure I have the cooler wired up correctly but I’m open to any suggestions! Please help me keep my computer from lighting on fire!
-
Hi everyone hope you guys can help me out! I was lucky enough to get a 3090 FE but since I have got it the card has been very loud contrary to reviews. I think that this may be an airflow issue so as a precaution I have ordered more fans however even with my current fan setup with all the fans on max rpm the situation only gets a bit better with the fans still hitting 2000RPM! This seems quite the opposite to what others have been reporting and what reviews seem to say TIA Max

Alright so here is my problem or rather my question if I have a problem. I've been having annoying fan noises when gaming. I assumed it was my stock ryzen cooler but I found out that it's my GTX 1070 Mini. So I went on to check my temps with MSI Afterburner and create a costum fan curve. Here is what I'm having trouble with: Without my custom fan curve, the card runs at around 75% fan speed at 82/83°C while gaming. Manually truning the speed to 100% doesn't cool the card down any more. Yet turning the fan speed down to 50% doesn't make it hotter either but a lot quietter (Haven't tried going down further yet). Now some will probably say, that even though it doesn't get hotter it will thermal throttle. If so, I can't feel it in game. When idleing temps are around 54°C at 25% fan speed, it does actually go down to 45°C at 100% fan speed, but who would want that noise level. So my question is, am I damaging my card when letting it run at 83°C under load and 54°C on idle? Honostly I wouldn't know what to change, but load temps seemed high to me, so I thought I'd ask.
