  1. First time PC Builder, got parts for Christmas and built them: Parts I think are relevant - AMD Ryzen 7 7700 X CPU MSI MAG Coreliquid C360 Sometimes the PC boots, temps run normally, no issues. Idles at about 40C. Other times, temps start rising on startup and just don’t stop. Sometimes it’s like the cooler slows the rising temps but they always eventually continue rising into the 90-100 range. Was told too much thermal paste could be the issue, so I reapplied thermal paste last night, worked the first time I booted it up. Today, back to the same old issue. Is it an issue with the cooler itself? Did I put too much paste again? Help please Let me know if there is any other info you need
  2. Hello, I'm very stumped with this issue and would love it is someone else had some thoughts on it. I recently built a computer for my girlfriend using some new and old parts. I reused a PSU, ram and some storage. All of the parts reused where farmed from what was working HTPC. The issue: The computer randomly (independent of the task being run) will lose video output and then reboot. When this happens 5 beeps can be heard followed by pause and another beep(as the PC restarts). (see video) Things I've already checked myself : It's not a heat related issue as the issue still occurs when the PC is idle. I used to have a much newer 32gb of ram in this PC but I replaced them with the current 16gb ram to discard ram issues. Tried reseting the CPU as well. I've tried looking up what the beeps can mean but what I'm finding is pretty broad anything from CPU, PSU, GPU, RAM and Motherboard issues... I'm not a new building a PC from scratch, again. My gut tells me it may be the NVME that could be the issue (probably the oldest part) but I'd rather not replace it until I have some evidence to this being the issue. (money is tight at) I've tried running the windows built in drive test with no issues found. Here are the main parts: ASRock B450M STEEL LEGEND (reused) AMD Ryzen 7 5800x (new) GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6800 XT GAMING OC 16G (new) Corsair Vengeance RGB 16gb RAM (reused) EvGA 750w power supply(reused) VID_20231006_144157.mp4
  3. Hey guys. So I am here for some wisdome if somone has an idea of what to do. So recently in last 2 or 3 weeks my A72 has been running hot somtimes while doing basic tasks. Like taking a photo. Somtimes I can't even multi taks for example if I am on a video call and I watch a video in background or somthing my camera just shuts down and the warning pops up that my phone is to hot. But yea overall I noticed that in some basic tasks is really hot. I never had issues with this phone untile now. Btw I am up to date with every software and andoid updates. So yea If Anyone can tell me the way to fix it plase do tell me.
  4. Hi guys, would you please help me setting my bios up correct so i get the effect i should be getting? SPECS: Chassi: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X Galaxy Mobo: MAG B760 TOMAHAWK WIFI CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K RAM: Corsair 32gb DDR5 5600mhz GPU: Palit Geforce 3090ti PSU:Corsair RM1000e ATX 3.0 1000W HD: 1TB Seagate m2 7600mbit/s Cooling: 2 - 140mm Intake in front, 3 - 120mm Exhuast on top thru the radiator, 1 - 120mm Exhuast back, Cooler: Corsair iCUE H150i Elite Capellix XT 360 on top I have also tried to have the radiator on the intake but saw no difference. 5. Hey guys! Just wanted to ouch base here and get any suggestions for my issue. So I just upgraded to a ROG THOR P2 1000w PSU and a Gigabyte RTX 4090 OC, and I was just playing Cyberpunk with everything cranked to maximum. And I noticed that my case fans began to pump out an insane level of heat, and for a moment I noticed a brief burning-plastic smell. I immediately quit the game, and the heat and smell began dissipated almost immediately. But now I'm worried. I haven't yet checked the CPU or GPU temps while under load, but I'll get MSI afterburner and do so as soon as I'm done writing this initial post. Then I'll reply with an update. I don't think it's the 16 pin high power connector. I know that has been a big issue recently, but I put that in fully seated and everything. I'll double check it though.
  6. So basically i have this Ryzen 5 3600 and I'm wondering if temps like in the picture below are really bad for the CPU(also CPU is at basically no usage)? I am quiet short on money but I'm not sure if this is healthy in the long run. I am also using the box cooler for it. So I'm wondering if I should spend the money for a different air cooler and if so what would you guys suggest for a air cooler?
  7. Hello everyone, I'm Ivan. I live in Italy, and in these days we are facing a very hot weather. My room reach 30°C (about 86°F) and my PC runs very hot. Well... Not very hot but hotter than when I have 20-22°C room temp. I'm a technician, and I change every month or so thermal paste on both CPU and GPU. Now, the GPU runs at 60-70°C depending on what type of games I'm playing, but the CPU on idle stays at 60°C, when in early June and before, on idle stayed at 40-45°C. So, here it is my question: I have an Arctic Freezer eSports 34 DUO. Could a Cooler Master AIO 120 lower my CPU temps? And maybe a little bit even my GPU's temps, since the AIO throws directly out of my case all CPU's heat... Thank you to whoever will answer!
  8. I attached a minute of using cinebench, note this is about a 30min AFTER playing 1 hour of apex on max 144hz 4k. Are these temperatures normal? Case NZXT h9 Elite 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700K 32.0 GB Ram AMD Radeon RX 7900xtx N7 Z790 Motherboard Cooler Kracken 360 Recording 2023-06-27 223433smaller.mp4
  9. Greetings everyone, After months of waiting for parts I was finally able to asseble my first custom water cooled build, while I was pretty pleased with the estetic result, as soon as I started to actually use it I've noticed a few things that had me wonder if everything was alright. My main problem is the temperature of the coolant, it can reach 50°C while I game and 40°C on a 30 minute CPU intensive task, which is something that rings an alarm in my head as my 3 rads should be able to dissipate a 250W 13900KF more than fine, but my coolant temp are gaining 10°C in 30 min, also the facts it takes a good 10 minutes to go from 50°C back under sub 40°C while idling only makes me wonder more. To provide some data, here are the specs of my PC: And here is the cooling: I'll also leave some pictures so you can see my loop: My loop order is Pump > Side Rad > Top Rad > CPU > GPU > Bottom Rad > Pump. I've been told that I'm running the CPU block in inverted flow and that it would have been better to not run the GPU with both inlet and outlet on the same side, but the temps of those components are not anything unusual so I dont think that's an issue, also because clearly heat is being dumped in the loop really well. While I idle or do simple task the temps are not a problem, my loop stays around 35°C with my room at around 28°C, but if I want to game I have to turn the AC on at 25°C so the coolant temp wont go over 50°C. In game I'll usually average 65/70°C on the CPU and 60-65°C on the GPU, depending on the titles it can go a bit up or down, but the coolant always reach 48°C at least. Bottom fan is intake while side and top are exhaust, I've been told to flip the side rad fans but I'd have to tear down the whole system to do it so I'm waiting on more opinions before I modify my setup. I've done some test to show how bad is the problem. This is the situation after a 10 minute run of Cinebench R23 + FurMark 1080p windowed, I've resetted the counters before starting. Room was with AC on at 25°C. I've also managed to take some pictures with a FLIR camera, not an expensive one but I hope they can be useful. These are before starting the stress test, while the loop was at 32°C. While these are taken at the end of the test, by the time I removed the front panel the coolant went already at 50°C. Pump is locked at 3.3K RPM and fans at 1250RMP. I'm looking for any possible advice, my 2 options right now are to flip the side fans or replace the temp sensor, because I have a feeling this one might have got the cable damaged while assembling the loop. Or that it's reporting false temps because of its position, it's on the reservoir but it's getting hot air from the bottom rads + heat from the pump motor, so it might be reporting bad temps under load just because of the heat going against it because the tubes dont seem to be super hot, totally very warm but I'd expect them to be hotter if it was really 50°C inside it. I've also disabled the ASUS CPU boost stuff and set a -0.08 offset, but the situation is still the same. Which is a shame because I feel like I've got really lucky with the silicon lottery, this thing was able to pull 400W and score 41k on R23. Please help me figure out this heat problem otherwise I think this system is doomed to melt itself. Another issue with this system is that it's almost undrainable, right now I've moved the valve on the bottom of the GPU but when I originally had it on the bottom of the reservoir, it would just drain the res without a single drop leaving the rads, tubes and block. How could I make draining it a bit easier without the need of blowing into it? The pump was dead silent while it was running with EK Loop cleaner and then the superflush, but it got a bit loud right after I finished installing windows. Now if I put it on full speed it does a strange sound, almost like sand going thru it, but there is no air in the system, it's been running for a week now with almost never being shut down and also twisted on all sides multiple times. Thanks in advance to whoever might be able to help me with this mess, definetly feel like I wanted to overdone it for my first watercooled build and now I'm paying the price of the small case.
  10. Hello all, I am at a standstill regarding this. It all started due to an error I get playing Warzone but noticed my CPU temps were very high. Based on research I see that the Ryzen 5950x shouldn't go past 90 degree under load. However, I noticed that even doing basic things like browsing the internet It's in the upper 80 degree mark. My current setup is as followed: MB: ASUS X570-E Gaming BIOS Version 4602 (03/14/2023) All settings in BIOS is left to default. CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X Cooling: LianLi Galahand 360 AIO RAM: G. Skill 3600 64 GB (2x32 GB) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 OS: Windows 11 22H2 [22621.1778] PSU: Seasonic FOCUS GW-850 850W 80+ Gold Here is my computer's temperature results just browsing and re-downloading applications after a fresh reinstall of Windows 11. Things I've done: Complete reinstall of Windows 11 Updated BIOS Cleaned out any dust in PC case Reapplied thermal paste Redid wiring of fans. Check the fans are all working. I can see, through HWMonitor, that my pump RPM is at the desired 3300 RPM so I'm assuming the pump is working. Please any help would be appreciated. I'm just running out of ideas.
  11. Recently built a friend a pc with a 12700, it’ll be used for average gaming, during gaming it stays at 40-55c. I’m running a Cinebench R23 benchmark and getting stable temps of 94c but reaching 97c, he will not be doing any cpu rendering work but I’m just a pinch worried about the long run, would this be a genuinely worrying temp? He has a 2 fan UpHere air cooler and 6 case fans, I applied a generous amount of thermal paste and built 10 pcs but never this high end. 12700 b660 plus D4 3070ti 650w 32gb
  12. Hello! I got a riddle for yah! My laptop becomes very hot and thermal throttles when I play games on high to max settings such as GTA V, Mass Effect Andromeda, Halo Infinite. The sound starts to sound distorted if I plug in my headset or in ear headphones using the AUX input, if I use my bluetooth speaker the audio is fine, after that the screen becomes black and the fans starts to go to 100% but the computer does not turn off unless I hold down the power button for a reset. It is like the computer goes into a locked state with the fans blasting full power. I have tried other games that are less demanding without any issues, only when I play games that are demanding on the hardware the sound becomes distorted and choppy, after that in certain games the computer screen goes black and locks up. First I thought it was an audio issue because it happened after 5-10 minutes of gameplay, but I found out recently that the audio issue only appear when I play games that make the computer thermal throttle. The GPU is not what is getting so warm but the CPU when I check hardware info for temps before the screen goes black when I replicate the issue. My laptop specifications: Gigabyte 15P XC OS: Windows 10 Home 64 bit Soundcard: Realtek BIOS: FB07 CPU: Intel i7-10870H GPU: Nvidia 3070 8gb RAM: 32gb NVME SSD m.2 512gb (C:) NVME SSD m.2 1TB (D:) Is it normal for a "gaming laptop" these days to thermal throttle this bad or is there something wrong with my laptop? I started trying out other games and I noticed that in some games the sound is distorted, crackles up with choppinezz in the gameplay after 5-10minutes and other more demanding titles the screen goes black and locks up so I have to reset the laptop. Thanks in advance for your advice fellow gamers! I am in need of help because I wanna play the gaimz on the heigh graphixz.
  13. Hello everyone. I recently build my computer (1 week ago). And i noticed that my temps are extremly high! My build: 9700k cryorig H7 gigabyte z390 gaming x msi rtx 2080 gaming trio x corsair vengeance 2x8 300mhz gigabyte g750h nzxt h500i samsung 860 evo 500gb seagate barracuda 2tb If i were playing rainbow six siege terrorist hunt my temp were in the high 80 (max 89) And when i did a prime95 test (the most extreme one) i would hit 100 degrees on some cores and other cores would hit 98. My cpu fan was running at a 100% and my case was open so there is no problem in air flow. Can somone pls help me? Greetings Zevy03 Sorrry for my bad english im from the netherlands and im 15 years old.
  14. I have an EVGA GEFORCE RTX 2080TI x3 that gets super hot i have to increase my radiator fans just to keep its temp down but the strange thing is that it dose not complain when when its hot its literally like a heater
  15. I have a 7900xt reference card in a fractal nano and the card is running at 70+C at idle. Any game I run the fans go full bore. Is this typical?
  16. Hi all, My friend has an RX 570 4GB, the MSI Gaming X version. When he is idling or playing a non intensive game, he idles around 54 degrees. However, once he clicks on any bigger game, the most common being Black Ops Cold War, his GPU temperature jumps up very quickly to about 90 degrees, but, when he closes the game it goes right back down to 55ish in seconds. I'm planning on replacing his thermal paste for him and cleaning his cooler. Any other ideas on why this would be happening so quickly and rapidly?
  17. Hello People as the title saying that i just recently build my brand new PC. CPU : Ryzen 9 3900x AIO : Corsair ICUE H115i with 7 fans constantly running on high. Voltage around 1.4v Ram 32 gb 3200mhz The issue i am facing with the same setting before my idle was 38° to 39° are even 40 to 41 not more than that. When i open and app or software like google chrome etc it would go upto 44° to 45° and am ok with that. Recently I figured that my RAM was using soo much like 8 gb on idle not software opened maybe some back software like icue and etc. Then I stop sysmain which releved my ram from 8gb to 4.5 gb. But stop the sysmain back fired like the idle cpu temp go up 41° to 43° and when i open any software like google chrome the temp go upto 49° to 51° and even go upto 54 to 55 when it starts too cool down. Then I start the sysmain again but the temps didnt came back when it was on idle but on 100% its working good Before and after. I tried to reset the block of AIO which is running on extreme and updated the bios nothing works. I have recently bought arctic silver 5 thermal paste but i believe it is not the issue of thermal paste also. Even while typing this topic the temp got up to 45°. So guys need ur help.
  18. My Config : i7 10700F, Cooler CPU ARCTIC AC Freezer 34 eSports DUO, B460M DS3H, 16 GB, etc. So, I just build my first PC and I don't know almost anything about Bios Optimization and Temperatures. I used Aida64 for a stress test and Core temp to measure the CPU temperatures and they went up to 90-95. I know it's bad, but I didn't expect this high temperatures. I need suggestions about bios Optimization (like voltage). (Idle temperatures : 40-45) (Gaming : MAX : 71; MIN : 55)
  19. Hello. I have installed the new components to a final build. Unfortunately, I could not see the problem coming, because I was using the whole time Silent mode. At the moment I am experiencing some unusual temperature of the CPU when I try to stress the CPU with Prime95 or OCCT applications. I ran the stress test for three minutes and I could see that CPU was at 90 degrees of Celsius or 194 Fahrenheit what I do believe is crazy. The power settings I used were balanced power mode with minimum processor state at 0% and maximum at 100%. My question is simple. What am I supposed to do? Some people tried to undervoltage the CPU and it worked, but should I actually do that with brand new CPU? Should not it work properly? I have seen some people getting the same or 1-2 degrees of Celsius less with Water Coolers and that is just crazy. According to AMD these CPUs are able to withstand 90-95 degrees, but like....it also diminishes the life expectancy of the CPU itself. I was also researching about where the whole heat thing is located and it is not in the middle, but somewhere around the corners of the CPU. My PC build: Ryzen 7 5800x GT 1030 32GB Ram DDR4 3600MHz HyperX Seasonic GX 750 Gold Fractal Design 7 Compact Dark Rock Pro 4 MSI B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI My fans: 2x140mm Arctic P14 in front of the case, 1x140MM P14 on the upper side, 1x120MM P12 at the back side. The thermal paste I am using is Condoctonaut and I have also a following picture of how the thermal paste looks like when it was installed. The cooler was installed properly, if I used more power I would break the MB for sure. Some people say that the problem are: 1. 1xCCX + I/O 2. BIOS is pushing the voltage too high 3. Stock voltage 4. Bad piece
  20. HWinfo says my cpu max temperature is 95°C, so I wondered whether either HWinfo can be wrong or why my cpu is that hot and what normal thermals are for idle and load.
  21. Hello! I have recently built my new PC but am running into cooling issues, more specifically with my GPU and SSD. Here are my specs: NZXT H510 B550 Aorus Elite v2 RTX 3070 Founders Edition Ryzen 7 5800x NZXT Kraken X53 Cooler SSD EVO 970 500 GB My SSD temps when under heavy load are around 60's, the M.2 slot rests under the CPU and above the GPU horizontally. It does have a heatsink that is apart of the motherboard, which makes me wonder why it is so hot. As for my GPU, if it is under too much load it will exceed 85 degrees. I run 1440p with 144hz on gaming, but typically my graphics settings are lower, so I am unsure why it is running so high. My current theory is my case and it's airflow. With the AIO pump, it has two fans in the front and two fans on the back - one on the top and one of the actual back - pushing air out. I notice the fan on the top does not push out much if any hot air. Originally that fan is an intake fan, but I changed it to match the 2 fans I added in the front with the AIO.

  23. Why is it whenever I go onto a game my gpu fans spin quite fast. On a low game such as Among Us when I take off vsync my fans start to kick in but only spin around 1198rpm but whenever I go onto Fortnite - let's say... They spin much faster in the 2000RPM area. Which I've heard it shouldn't exceed. Could this be my power supply? Any other suggestions?
  24. Hi, I got a new PC very recently and trying to figure out how overclocking works. I've tried watching some YouTube videos and reading a bunch of articles on the web, but now I'm even more confused. I'm hoping you guys will help me understand this better. The PC is used mostly for graphical work (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Blender) and some light gaming. It performs really well, but I've been told it's running hotter than usual and that it could do a little better. The build came overclocked (using Asus MCE) from the shop I bought it from. Processor: Intel i5 10600K @ All core 4.5 Ghz Motherboard: Asus Prime Z490M-Plus RAM: Gigabyte Aorus 2x8 GB RAM 3200 Mhz @ 3200 Mhz Cooler: Lian Li Galahad 240mm AIO Storage: 2 M.2 SSD's and a 1 TB HDD The CPU temp sits around 47-50 degrees celsius on idle and jumps to 73-78 degrees on load. As a layman, I assume these are good temps, but I'm told otherwise and that the MCE is terrible at handling voltages and that it may be overvolting the CPU and that's what's producing so much heat. Should I be happy with this result? Should I turn off MCE and resort to manual overclocking? Please, shed more light.
  25. it seems that my cpu is always running warmer than its supposed to be. i found my cpu fans extremely loud so decided to check HWmonitor and it seems my cpu is always above 55C-63 when not gaming. When gaming it easily reached 75-80 and after that slowly overtime goes up. highest ive noticed it reach was 90C in MW Warzone after atleast a couple hours (dont know exactly hm hours). I decided to renew the thermal paste since during building i touched the thermal paste under the fan thinking that might of been it, but still got the problem. Then i noticed 1 of the 2 cpu fans are turned the wrong way, but can that really make 15-20C difference assuming its that much? i am not exactly in the mood of taking out even the motherboard to change that since screws are unreachable otherwise + would take ages to get it done. My Build is almost completely new besides my SSD HDD and case. Specs: Mobo: MSI MPG X570 GPU: Msi 3070 Gaming X Trio CPU: AMD Radeon 7 5800x PSU: MSI MPG A850gf CPU Cooler: ICUE H100i RGB PRO XT PS: Dont ask what my case is as i dont even know. i bought my whole pc prebuild from a shop 4 years ago.
