Hi, so recently I upgraded my rig to r7 3700x, rtx 2060 msi, 2x8GB Corsair 3600MHz CL18 Vengeance RGB. But something strange occurred. My RAM usage is waaay off. My user uses only 3GB, but windows shows ( and other programs ) that 80% (sometimes even 95% ) of my RAM capacity is used. I can't lunch any new AAA games like Bordelands 3 cuz of my memory issue. Could you guys help me? Here are some screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/j1jZtIz

Hello, Just curious if anyone could tell me if this seems right ? My CPU is set to 3.60 but runs most of the time at 4.7 to 4.9 most of the time. I remember installing somthing called easytuner from Gigabyte when installing the RGB light controller with their ''APP STORE''. I thought maybe that was controlling it but I can't seem to find any gigabyte services running unless they're called somthing else. Then I thought that maybe Task Manager was glitchy? not giving the correct info and checked with HWMonitor and via the bios and got simlar results. WITH and WITHOUT the Enhanced Multi-Core Preformance On the results are the same I've disabled, enabled and also set it to auto and nothing changed. CPUID HWMonitor Report: System Services.

Hey guyz.. sorry for my bad english I have an r9 380 4gb nitro.. one of the fan was broken from my r9 380 and i put an 12 volt fan to it by zip ties(the fan was blowing towards the heatsink).. and the result was awsome.. the temps was in the high 70s..2 days ago my other fan was broken too.. then i removed the plastic housing and connect both of the directly to heat sink as linus showed in his video.. both of the fans are running at full speed and are blowing towards the heatsink.. but now the temps are very bad.. they are above 40c in idle condition.. and under load after 3 minutes it reaches 85c and then sometimes throttles down .. i m bit confused that why it wasn't happening when i was running one 12v fan and one gpu fan.. is there a little bit space for air to come out because i removed the plastic housing.. am i placing them wrong? Like should i place one fan towards the heatsink and another as an exhaust? Tell me guyz plz? I m so poor i can't afford another graphic card..

I'm currently using restream to serve streams from my local church to both youtube and facebook but it has had intermittent issues. For weeks it will run flawlessly at a perfect bitrate with 0% dropped frames. Then it will drop 30% of frames or more and have a horrible bitrate for no apparent reason, and then it will be fine for the next several weeks. I started the stream today it worked flawlessly for a few minutes, only now I am having issues with dropped frames. I have run a few ping tests and the ping to known IP addresses is incredibly high, with 1.1.1.1 averaging 200 ms ping. I checked on a different computer and the ping is equally high there, so I suspect some issue with the network, but I personally have very limited knowledge of how it is configured. Any ideas as to why a live stream would experience such problems seemingly at random? (I'm getting worse ping to my home network 5 miles from home than I did on a train in Pennslyvania using train wifi.)

I have an i3 4130 with 8gb DDR3 ram. I just noticed that my pc has quite a high idle ram usage- 2.8GB at idle. I asked my friend, he also has 8 GB Ram with a Ryzen 5, but his Ram usage- is only 2.1 GB. Is it okay and just because I have a slow processor, or is it actually high, and what steps do you suggest I take ? Should I just straight up reinstall windows ? Will it make a difference ? Also I have a 2tb Seagate HDD, Shud I completely wipe it ? Will it speed it up ? Also what tool do you suggest I use to wipe the hdd ? thanks.

So I've had this pc for about a year and a bit, And just recently I've started to notice my CPU temperatures rise to 70-80° while idle. first thing is that the pc is a pre-built one (Yeah I'm a noob) The Only thing I've done to my pc is opened it up, dusted it and added 8gb of ram to my rig that already had 8gb. My Rig CPU- AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core Processor GPU- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB RAM- 16GB OS- Windows 10 MB- MSI 970a-g43 I know that it says that the system fan runs at 0 Rpm but it doesn't I can See that thing working Please help me!

So my computer by no means has weak cooling, and the picture will show my current cooling setup: 2x bottom intake (The red AF 140mm has been replaced with a matching NF-A14 like the one next to it. The 2 front intake and the rear exhaust are all Noctua NF-A14 iPPC 2000 Industrial fans, and of course the cooler is the distinct, D15. My issue is that the CPU - at stock speeds - will teach temps of 85 degrees when playing games, and temps of 75 with virus scans. I'm never below 42 degrees, no matter what. My bedroom is a nice 'hot' 66 degrees (before I play games), if that would contribute to it at all. Also, my graphics card has no issues temperature wise.

Hi all, I noticed today that my GPU isn't throttling down to 300MHz anymore when utilization is low. It's a 2060 so it should have a baseclock of 1365MHz and it's now going to 1215MHz but not any lower, even if utilization is 0%. It did clock lower before. Some things I have done since the last time I saw it going down to 300MHz are: - Installed new drivers - Tweaked the color settings of one of my displays through the nvidia control panel to reduce ghosting effects - Switched between 60, 100, 120 and 144Hz multiple times while tweaking the settings. - Set the power management in nvidia control panel to adaptive (though this was after I saw it didn't clock down all the way. It will return to lower clock speeds if I alter the frequency of the monitor. My issue with this is that I'm running +5C (40C) on idle now from before and I'm not sure what kind of effect this will have on longevity. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers

Hi guys, I have 16GB of ram in my system and when I casually use my PC it the ram idles at around 7 or 8GB. I don't think this is normal. I have 2 monitors and usually have 2 firefox open and discord. Are my ram sticks going bad? How do I find out, I think before it used to idle around 3-4GB. I run Norton antivirus and Malwarebytes in the background. I tried playing the new game anthem and when the game starts, the RAM shoots up to around 15.6 GB and I can't even play the game anymore bc its stutter and lag around etc My specs: cpu intel4790k memory: gskil ripjaws ddr3 2133Mhz running XMP HDD 1tb WD blue (OS and programs here) & 2 TB wd black (anthem installed here) air cooler for cpu and 4 case fans running on pwm GTX 970 Please let me know what I can do to troubleshoot. Thanks for your help, appreciate it

amd High temperature on Ryzen 7 3700X - [HELP]
ACiNYX posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
So I built a PC yesterday with a 3700X and Stock cooler. I'm not an enthusiast. So I really don't know anything in depth. So while playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey in Ultra settings for an hour or more my CPU temp hit 89-92 C. (Auto Voltage > ~1.45V) Then I changed core voltage to override mode and fixed voltage to 1.375V. Then I ran AC Odyssey and my temp was 81C and increasing quickly. So how do I fix my temperature? I have an msi X570- 2 replies

I just bought the r5 2600 and I used my old cooler from my fx 8350. The cooler has a coper base and 4 heat pipes. I replaced the stock 80mm fan with the fan from the wraith stealth and have it at max rpm 2600rpm. My issue is that when looking at reviews of the wraith stealth it seems like it gets better cooling than this much larger heat sink. My temps are while gaming with the witcher 3 average about 63c. When doing a hand break render it averages about 75c and this is all with the fan speed set to max. I am also using arctic silver 5 thermal paste and I have plenty of paste but not too much. I basically used what I always do when putting thermal paste on and never had a problem with it before. My main concern is that when I look at the reviews I am seeing much better temps with the wraith stealth even though its a much smaller cooler. Also note my case has three 120mm fans blowing in from the front and one 120mm blowing out from the back. It also has spots for 2 more 120mm fans at the top but I need to install them yet. I don't think they will help much but I'm gonna install them anyways. Thanks and I hope someone can shed some light on my situation.

What do you think about getting High Cost Computer and using long time vs Mid Cost Computer and changing short span. Please tell me about your reason thank you. which one is better cost performance do you think?

Hi. I just upgraded my power supply and graphics card. The problem is I have noticed stuttering in games and Heaven benchmark. I also seem to have high CPU usage -- below I have an attached CPU usage when using Windows normally. What's likely to be causing this? One user told me it could be a CPU bottleneck (I only have a Ryzen 3 2200G), but I have also read online that it could be the fault of the PSU. Thanks in advance Specs: Ryzen 3 2200G GTX 1660 Super StormX BEQUIET BN297 (Power supply) x2 4GB DDR4 @ 2400MHz

Hey all, I recently purchased myself an i7 4790k as an upgrade to my i5 4460. After installing the i7, I launched my computer and gamed for about 3 hours, only to notice my games start stuttering and freezing. I thought it might be my new CPU so I checked the temperatures and found that my CPU was cooking itself at 98 degrees (Celcius). I turned turned off my PC ans came back to it a few hours later and went straight into BIOS, only to see my CPU temperature go from 60 to 88 instantly. 88 degrees celcius is really fricken hot i tell you like i cook oatmeal at that temperature. Specs: z97 mobo Evga gtx 970 i7 4790k 16 gb ddr3 hyper x or sumn some power supply ssd and hd ye I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me prevent my CPU from exploding. Thanks, Josh

Hey Everybody, About a month ago my brother told me that the computer he uses primarily for gaming was having some-type of CPU usage problem; when he launched a game it would go to 100% usage and would say "Very High Power Usage" in Task Manager. Not long after this random problem started, the motherboard had a burning smell, and the board completely failed. I obtained a new power supply, ordered a new board, and put the computer back together again just yesterday. Here's the problem: every time I launch a game the CPU usage gets really high, usually 100%, then hoovers around 60-70%- But the real problem is that power supply fans ramp up to about 100%, and task manager says "Very High Power Usage" for the game, and after just a few rounds the computer automatically, and without warning, restarts itself. It doesn't matter what game I'm opening. I believe it has to be restarting itself because the power demands are far too high for the computer to withstand, and this problem is probably what shorted the last board out. I am not running any new equipment (except the replacement board and new PSU). Any ideas as to what is causing this odd high power usage problem only when gaming? I inluded a photo of temps and the power usage demand from task manager below too. Thank you very much in advance for the help! I also don't believe the PSU is under anytype of power strain. We used to have 2 gpu's in here, but I removed one just to reduce power draw and it is still having the problem. Is there a good download to see PC power usage myself just to make sure that's true?

So I started playing Doom Eternal about a week ago, and I had the same surprise from when I had played the first one not long after launch date. It is so easy to drive on ultra settings 3440x1440 that my fps is skyrocketing when I don't limit it to 120 (fps is considerably higher than other games on my computer), and it makes me wonder what gives. Are the textures not so heavy or what? PS.: My pc specs are available on my profile.

Hi I have noticed that my PC is using about 11 GB of ram which is high because I am not using that much of it. 2.5 GB Chrome 1 GB Android emulator 1 GB other apps how much windows 10 pro is using ? 5.5 GB ? I had a laptop with 6 GB of ram and never got above 5GB usage with chrome open! it is not a problem really unless I am working on AutoDesk programs or Adobe. I looked around trying to find apps to monitor Ram usage in details but couldn't find any. Any thought where is the 5.5 is or how I can find it XD or is windows really use that much ? My PC specs R9 3950x RTX 2070 Super MSI Meg Unify x570 G.skill Ripjaws 32 GB 3600 CL16 Corsair MP510 480GB another SSD 128 thank you.

Hey everyone! I've recently made a build, and I can't really use the best of my pc due to my gpu overheating, I lower the graphics so the gpu doesnt get too hot, maybe its my fans? the cable management inside isnt too messy, I made sure to leave barely any hanging cables inside. Every other temp is reasonable "safe", cpu going max going till 68-70Cº, but for example in ARK Evolve everything on medium gpu going toward 71/72Cº but if I change to high can't play without being paranoid that my GPU will burn. The two fans are in front of the case, im not sure if they're pulling or putting air inside, and which way is it better. I'm really paranoid that I will make my pc blow due to extreme heat, my bedroom doesn't really help either, specially in summer temps going till 40Cº outside and inside could be 30/34Cº https://imgur.com/CHzuU55 Build: Cooler Master TD500L #D Diamond Cut Design Acrilic Side Panel(included a pre-installed case fan 120mm) SeaSonic - FOCUS Plus Gold 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Two case fans 120mm Cooler Master 2000RPM MasterFan MF120R RGB 4 Pinos PWM Motherboard MSI X370 Gaming Plus Ryzen 5 2600x Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 WF OC 6GB RAM G.SKILL Aegis 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3000MHz CL16 Black SSD 2.5" Kingston SSDNow UV400 120GB TLC SATA Hard Drive 3.5" Western Digital Blue 1TB 7200RPM 64MB SATA III (yes using ryzen 2600x on a x370 mobo)

So as you can see in the picture, one of my CPU threads for my i7 8700k is above 90% CPU usage at the Left 4 Dead start screen... is this msi afterburner just telling me the wrong number or is there actually something going on here? I have a gtx 1070, brand new pc build... I went into task manager and my CPU usage is hovering around 9-15%. Please help

Hey everyone, Yes I’m having the same issue again if you saw my previous topics on the same issue but there’s two things that are now happening. 1. Even though the previous solution with the Cooler Master 212 Evo worked, the heatsink is absolutely, not cold, but not warm/hot either, even though my temperature are practically hitting between 45-53 C now. 2. I tried overclocking, from 4.4GHz to 4.5GHz, with additional 0.025v (1.175v, originally was 1.155) added to VCore, this drastically increased the temperature. Idle: 50-55 C. While gaming or using CPU intensive apps would potentially cause it to reach 100C, it doesn’t shut down but throttles. Here’s my full PC specs: Intel Core i7 4790K (4.4GHz @ 1.15V VCore) Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3 Rev 1.0 Motherboard G-Skull & Corsair Vengeance 2200MHz 32GB DDR3 (I’m not sure exactly the PSU but it’s Aerocool Xpredator 80 Plus Gold 1000w)
