Hi, everyone. I have a question. On cinebench r15, when I run the full cpu multithread test, my temps are high, as shown below in the picture. Are they too high? I have re applied an Arctic Silver 5, and am using the Stock Intel cooler (for 6th gen tho). I am planning to buy a delidding tool, some coollaboratory liquid ultra, and delid my cpu and then overclock it. Will there be any difference in temps, after delidding? Also, I forgot to mention, my ambient temps are 28C. Thank you for your time.

So I've been posting a lot about this recently but there's still been no good fix for some reason. I currently own a FX8350 @ stock and a Corsair 100iv2 - but I can't overclock because for some reason no matter how many times I reapply the thermal paste and tighten the bracket and cooler, my idle temps are always around 45-55 degrees. I have reapplied thermal paste 3 times now, and for the first boot the termps are normal at like 24 degrees, but when I turn on my PC the next day the temps suddenly jump to like 45-55 degrees idle. ANY HELP? (I've been trying for 2 weeks now and nothing has worked).

Hey there im new to the forum but I have a pretty trash build but it works quite well so i have a gtx 660 a i3 4160 and 2x4gb hyper beast ddr3 ram so i have pubg and its been going good i really dont know how but ive been able to play quite smoothy at 40-70 FPS on high settings with screen scaling to 116 but so for 5 mins the game works fine then crash i rejoin then it happens at random times i also play at 1366x768 because i am using a tv but still looks great but if there is any way u could help me out that would be great and i also normaly overclock it to +30 core and +90 memory and fan speed 100 but with it at normal i get the same thing but like 35-65 fps

Hi so i just spent the last say hour taking my 200mm fans off and installing 2 120mm fans to have push pull on my corsair h100i v2 and now my temps are crazy high.. beofre i was getting 55c under load max and around 24c idle, now im getting 50c idle with random spikes up to 74c (when doing simple things like typing this forums post, i only changed the fans, any ideas as to what is going on, system specs below: CPU 17 6700k (stock) Ram EVGA DDR4 3000 gpu gtx 1060 clc corsair h100i v2 (currently in push pull with 4 120mm fans) ssd ocz 480GB hdd 4tb seagate mobo Asrock z170 Exetreme 4

whenever i run any application after windows startup no matter how much time after the startup the disk usage gets to 100% with no actual apps using disk all are around .1 mb/s *it returns to 0-1% after 1-2 mins depending on the app*, if i closed the app and reopened it, it takes like a sec or two to run with no disk usage at all and when i restart the pc and run any app again the same thing happens all over again , this happens with all apps (chrome. leageoflegends, steam, even taskmanager)my pc specscpu ryzen 5 1600rams 16 gb crucial ballistix sport ddr4 2400mobo asus prime b350 plushdd 1tb western digital wd10eurxone last thing , crystaldiskinfo states that i have 1934 reallocated sectors which i had in the first 15gb so i isolated the first 20gb and the rest got no badsectors at allthanks in advance <3 -
Hey everyone, i wanted to know why in the game the ping is between 165-400ms while testing speed on speedtest.net shows ping:14ms download:2mbps upload:1.5mbps is it my internet package is slow or any other problem and what speed do you suggest for gaming? thank you

Hey Guys! I have average knowledge on building PCs and currently looking into temps of my PC's Components. My FE GTX1070 reaches 82C at 75% Utilization (highest) when playing The Division based on HWMonitor, I'm not sure if that's high but I still want to bring it down a bit. I only use Air Cooling and I am thinking of adding those PCI Slot Fans pointing towards the GPU, I would like to ask if any of you have experience with this and if it is effective. Thanks!

I'm searching for closed back headphones with a high sound quality and pristine clarity in the 300-400€ area. The boatload of headphones you can find in the internet is too overwhelming for me to disect a clear winner myself. Note: I have bigger ears; I listen to a lot of bass-heavy music, however this does not mean that I want to sacrifice on other frequencies; I drive my headphones off of my motherboard (RealTek ALC 1150) and the quality of my music is Spotify Premium. My current main headphones are the Philips Fiedlio X2. I really like them, but i miss the "inside your head" feeling of closed back headphones like the Sennheiser PX 360 BT that i had before them. Any suggestions are appreciated.

My CPU is being used and is almost always at 100%. My RAM usage is sometimes high as well. Im not sure if my CPU is broken or something. Here are some screenshots to answer any questions. Hi there! Recently I have just build my first personal custom pc rig! (I helped a friend build his before) However, I am experiencing rather high temps on my i7 6700k. this custom pc right actually happens to be a hackintosh which is running great, but when running the "yes" command in the terminal to stress test the cpu, I was getting a rather high 77 degrees at load. My i7 is currently at 4.5ghz completely stable, and is cooled my the coolermaster 240m aio liquid cooler. Why are my temps so high? Could the "yes" command be overly, and unrealistically taxing on my cpu? I'm seeing people are getting temps in about the 60's with this setup, so even if the yes command was a bit unrealistic, my real temps wouldn't be quite that cool right? I currently have the top noctua as intake, and the rad as exhaust in the front. I am getting 2 more 80mm noctua fans for the back as intake in a few days. Idk if that will be a significant improvement though. Feel free to ask any other questions about my setup, and I look forward to your help!

Hey everyone. I'm pretty new to pc gaming and building. I recently have bought an fx 6300 CPU and wanted to overclock it. Now, my problem is that when I overclock it from 3.5ghz to only 4ghz that it gets to 80° while its getting watercooled by my coolermaster seidon 120v. What am i doing wrong? Thanks!

Overview Hey all I'm 19 years old, and after and long time I've finally been able to get myself a PC all the parts listed below I have a fixed budget and will be upgrading the PC will will all be noted. I'm not sure how its going to preform so if you could give me some help and let me know how it will preform running games such as Arma III, Miscreated, GTA V, and Battlefield 4 and 1. I also have a few other questions which are asked below. PC Specs CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz (4.1 GHz Turbo) 6 core <--- Can someone shed some light on the 4.1 turbo part is this OC potential ??? GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 2GB <--- Chosen over the 750 ti, is there much a performance gap between these cards ??? RAM: 8GB (1x8GB) 1866MHz Kingston DDR3 Memory <--- will be upgraded to 2x8GB once i have the cash ! Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P AMD 970 <--- is there much comparability with this motherboard if i move to a 1060 in the future or need a new motherboard also ??? Power Supply: 500w Aerocool Integrator or similar... HDD: 1TB Seagate Barracuda 3.5 SATA III Cooling: AMD CPU Cooler (600- 2400RPM) OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit SSD: None <--- will be getting a AMD R3 240GB once i have the extra cash ! CD/DVD: None <--- Are they really needed ??? Hey, So I have the MSI 970, and pretty much out of nowhere (one day to another) its idle temps just increase by quite a big amount, and stay until I format the PC (I think). It’s happened maybe once or twice before, and I suspect there is some kind of program I have, or maybe after a threshold of background apps, even though that doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, that its idle temps increase by a lot. So I’ve had to do reformats to my pc for other reasons, and each time I did, this problem disappeared. So, normally if everything is fine, the MSI card runs at around 39-48C with the fan off. Now, if I leave the fan off to see where the temp goes it reaches 72, at idle, with around 1-8% GPU usage, And this just started again a couple of days ago. I’ve checked background apps’ usage and there isn’t something hogging the CPU or GPU, as far as I can tell. What do you guys think? Thanks for the help -
Hi Yesterday i bought new cpu i7 6700k + mobo msi z270 gaming pro I have used stock cooler + pactum pt1 but my temps even in idle or bios are above 60 degree occt 2 seconds test and temperatures are 90+ Isnt it too big? What can I do please help

So i recently bought the forest to play with one of my mates. and i prefer a slow sensitvity. i run about 500 dpi. my mousepad area to turn is about 50cm long and going from one side to the other will make my cherecter turn 3/4ths of a turn. but in the forest, my sensitivity is all the way down to 0% and i still do about 3 turns in that same space. ive gone through all of the config files and cant find a single mention of Dpi or muose sensitivity anywhere, does anyone know how to fix this? the reason why i checked the config files is because i had the same issue with skyrim and i fixed it by changing the config file.

I'm not sure what the application videocardmonitor(32 bit) is, but it is constantly running and eating up around 8-10% of my CPU usage. Any clue what this is a result of and how to prevent such high CPU usage? I have a MSI GTX 970, MSI B350 Tomahawk, and a Ryzen 7 1700.

A couple of weeks ago I bought completely new parts for a PC build. I must state that this is the first build I did by myself. One of the first things I noticed is that my 2990wx CPU has very high temperature - about 37-40C idle and 55ish when running a game. While doing an aida64 stress test the temperature goes even higher to 60+. Keep in mind that the maximum temperature of this CPU is 68C. I haven't done any overclocking. I made sure I have the latest version of BIOS. I tried changing the thermal paste but it seems like there is almost no difference at all. I am using a Cooler Master masterliquid ml360r rgb AIO which is specifically made for this CPU. The radiator of the AIO is positioned at the top of the case. All the fans are running of course and water can be heard running from the tubes so the AIO is definitely working. I have the latest drivers for everything. Could it be that my AIO is damaged in some way and not working properly? The only other thing that I can think of is the IHS not making good contact with the AIO, but honestly I screwed it well enough so really I don't think this is the issue. Thank you very much in advance for the help. Specs: OS: Windows 10 Pro, version: 10.0.18362 N/A Build 18362 Case: Thermaltake Level 20 GT RGB Plus E-ATX Full Tower CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX MB: ASUS ROG Zenith Extreme Alpha GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 2080 T Gaming X Trio Ram: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB(2x16GB) 3000Mhz CPU cooler: Cooler Master Masterliquid ml360 Rgb(TR edition) Storage: Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus TB PSU: Cooler Master V1200, Full Modular 80+ Platinum The thermal paste used at the moment is Thermal Grizzly's Kryonaut. For spreading method I used 9 small dots throughout the heat spreader accompanied by 4 big dots in the middle where the chips are.

Note: I have included the solution which worked for me solving this issue without returning any parts or changing overclock settings in bios also quick note : updating bios did not make a diffence at all I bought a ryzen 5 1600x almost a week ago, with these other parts; asus x370 prime pro motherboard gigabyte wind force gtx 960 4gb riotoro 500w builder edition psu hyperx DDR4 2400mhz kingston 128gb ssd i noticed that my cpu would first give me a clock_watchdog_timeout BSOD error, so I re installed windows to latest build though media creation tool. The crashes (which the screens display was static on what was being displayed before the crash and would have to be click the reset/restart button in case to fix this) had gone. The next issue was was I noticed the cpu runs at 3.7hhz but would fluctuate between that and 2.2, but also i would notice that the temps would spike, from 30 degrees it was instantly spike to 60 degrees I had seen the max For about a second. The voltage also fluctuated from 0.8v to 1.45v after a stressful period of around 3-4 days, I read how disabling “amd Cool’n’Quiet” would help, however I couldn’t find this in the bios.. so I downloaded ryzen power plan though the install of amd chipset driver . This made the clock speed stable at 3.7ghz (bearing in mind I had never overclockrd the cpu or any other component and they were all at stock settings) . The temps would still fluctuate and so would the voltage. so after only yesterday , I had found “c states” setting. I had seen this before when I had the clock_watchdog bsod issue, I disabled this and it didn’t make a difference to that issue, however to my understanding , disabling c-states setting seemed to have behaved how people with simillar fluctuations issue describe how disabling Cool’n’Quiet works... it worked! i went into windows, the temps and voltage were stable. Still at 3.7ghz, however as long as I’m not getting 1.45v in idle (LOL yes that’s what I would get on idle) I was fine with this new stable 1.25v max voltage @ 3.7gh The cinebench r20 score from before and after are ; before turning off c-state :2731 after turning off c-state: 2676 not much of a drastic difference.. but the cpu seems to run much more stable now hope this helps.. btw don’t order any new coolers lol. I was using a stock amd stealth cooler (the small heatsink one) and then I bought a 95w rated tdp amd spire cooler with cooler core .. didn’t make much of a diffwnce but idle temps seem better by about 3-7 degrees with the spire Hope this helps someone .. -

Hi, i recently build my new rig, my chosen parts was / i9-9900X / ROG RAMPAGE IV EXTREME OMEGA motherboard / 64gb HyperX 3200mhz/ RTX2080TI Strix OC / Corsair HX1200i power supply. I get this wired buzzing sounds around the CPU, is this a coil whine or something else? Should I be cornered? (Check video 30sec in) the sound only appears on 20-30% load, any my ideas how to fix this?

When I try to a watch a clip or a movie with the stock windows video app (movies and tv) it makes the video lag/stutter. And when I look in task manager it shows that the video app is using 100% gpu usage and that is what is making the video lag. What should I try to do to fix it. Should i get a new video app? In that case which app? I have windows version: 1903 UPDATE: this happens to whatever video program im using, it happends to VLC and potplayer also.

I have recently Built a new systems and seeing high temps at stock. Specs I9 9900K Aorus Master z390 3000Mhz Corsair Platinum Asus OC 2080ti H150i AIO Case Phantom 630 I have set it all up did my first stress test with ROGbench after 30min I was at 90c on the CPU stock settings Next day I re seated the AIO and replace the paste with MX4 re seated and got 88c I started to undervolt now XMP Enabled MultiCore Enhancement Enabled Vcore 1.14 Load Line Turbo Temps now Adia64 72c ROGBench 76c Case Layout Intake 2x140mm 1x200mm Filtered Exhaust 1x120mm 380mm Radiator Non Filtered
