Hello, Parts In Image I have tried everything I know to fix. My thoughts are either bad motherboard or psu. I have been experiencing some issues when it comes to games but my benchmarks are average and even above average when I run them. Frame drops and low fps compared to other systems of the same components. For example, my friend of the same cpu/gpu has been getting a constant 400 fps in CS2 at max settings, but I get anywhere from 200-300 with drops to 160 happening. I have tried XPM, DDU, power mode, mem86, and even a windows wipe. I'm desperate as it affects my gameplay. Even in Fortnite on performance mode and all low settings I am getting 100-160 fps with drops. No thermal throttling even though temps are higher than normal. Just bought fans but I don't think temps are the problem. Any help appreciated

I got a problem with my pc, that looks something like this: recently i built a new pc and when Im playing cs:go my graphics card is at 100% usage and cpu on around 20-25%. I got rtx3060 and intel core i5-12400f, all power supplies are plugged in correctly, no problem with ram usage and speed, priority is set to high, the problem have place even on fcking LOW SETTINGS (lowering settings help just a bit, but still no expected performance). Whenever i look in a place at which many things are going on, for example smokes, fire granades etc, my fps drop from 250-300 to stupid-looking 80-100. same thing on deathmatch on dust 2, whenever i go mid my fps drops to 100. tried many launch commands, accolerating more ram, prioritising cs go in proccess lasso NOTHING. Also important to note that i had a radeon rx6700xt before and had same problem, but at that time i thought it was a graphics card issue (it was not brand new) so for the same amount of money i bought a new rtx 3060. NO issues with temperatures. HELP IM GETTING SICK OF THAT SHI t full specs: motherboard: ASUS PRIME B660M-A DDR4 ram: Kingston FURY 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz CL16 Beast Black processor: Intel Core i5-12400F power supply: Gigabyte P650B 650W 80 Plus Bronze graphics card: ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 DUAL OC V2 LHR 12GB GDDR6 if someone solves it i swearr it would be the happiest moment of my life HELPPP

Hey guys, I'm planning to finally upgrade my rig, after many years. Here are the details. Budget: max ˜3000€ (preferably as little as possible though, since I plan on upgrading again in a few years when GTA 6 comes out for PC) Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: GTA 5 (and 6 when it finally comes out :C), Overwatch 2, Red Dead Redemption 2, pretty much everything else, any new AAA games coming out, Software Engineering Stuff (including basic AI/Machine Learning work in the future maybe), Basic video editing (but i mostly edit on my work laptop anyway so not that often), Maybe streaming too?? Other details: Upgrading from Prebuilt PC (from Hyrican): Motherboard: Gigabyte H110M-S2HP (can't even update BIOS because of Hyrican proprietary software) GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 xD RAM: 16GB RAM DDR4 CPU: Intel Core i7-6700 CPU 3.40 GHz (8CPUs) OS: Windows 10 Home 64 Bit (can't upgrade to Windows 11 bcs CPU is too old - but I also probably can't reuse this license for the new PC so it doesn't matter i think) Planning to Upgrade to (see screenshots): Motherboard: MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI GPU: Asus TUF GAMING GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12 GB (I wasn't sure which company I should buy this from, or how big the difference between ASUS and MSI is, for instance) RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory CPU: Intel Core i7-13700K 3.4 GHz 16-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair RM1000x (2021) 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Case Fans: 5x Noctua Ax25 chromax 60.09 CFM 120 mm Fan Total Cost right now: around 2500 euros I am playing on a 1080p MSI Monitor with 360Hz Refresh Rate and GSync. I will buy a secondary Monitor that is either 1440p or 4k, for media consumption and games that look pretty instead of shooters where i need faster refresh rate. I am planning to buy the build at the beginning of June, or today if I can find a way to finance the graphics card and CPU with monthly installments (and also add 2 more years of extra warranty on top of the EU legal minimum). I went with the i7 instead of the i9 after comparing them on UserBenchmark and noticing that the i9 is 200 euros more and only gives around 5% more performance on avg. Similar thing for the GPU - The 4070Ti comes 4th in performance and costs half of the price of the 1st (4090). I don't need THAT much power right now, since I am planning to upgrade to the absolute best whenever GTA 6 comes out, so I can play everything on absolute Ultra and get the most FPS then. I was really unsure which Case and Motherboard to go with after this. For motherboard, I care about the basics being as new as possible. The latest PCIe Generation, DDR5 Memory, stuff like that. I don't care about Wifi, Bluetooth and all the extra stuff - I won't use it. But I'm not sure if I even NEED the latest basics I mentioned with this build. (I do want DDR5 RAM though) I don't give a crap about case looks, I just need airflow and function. Which is why I thought this one is good, since I watched a Linus Video on it. But I need a USB adapter for this (see warnings in Screenshot), but I probably won't use USB Type C anyway so... At the end I thought it was kind of weird that I cut slight corners for the GPU and CPU but went overboard with Power Supply, Memory, Motherboard, CPU Fan... Do you guys think it makes sense, since I want to upgrade in the near future again? Can i reuse any components from this build then (say I'll just upgrade the GPU and CPU when GTA 6 comes out, keep the motherboard and everything else. will that work with this build?) IMPORTANT QUESTION: IIRC, there was an issue with NVIDIA's 4000 series where the cables were melting. I saw lots of articles about it then. Something about the cables being wobbly??? Has that been fixed, is it something I need to worry about with my graphics card? How can I check? Given this info, do you guys have any recommendations and tips?

PROBLEM: I have inconsistent huge drops of fps. I will have excellent fps for 1-2 minutes followed by a guaranteed drop. On osu! I will go down from 960 frames all the way down to 100-200 On BF1 ~200 frames down to 5-10. SPECS: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/59478448 *NO OVERCLOCKING USED* -Asrock B450M Steel Legend -NVIDIA 3090 24 GB -amd 5800x 8 core 16 thread -32 gb of corsair vengeance 3200 MHz -700b evga -I'm NGL this thing is the last of my original build and is 6 years old- ***Changed to a 1000 watt PSU -860 EVO SSD 1 tb -1tb HDD -B450m Steel legend pro GPU TEMP ON OSU: 60 degrees Celsius CPU TEMP ON OSU: 70 degrees Celsius GPU USAGE ON OSU: 36% CPU USAGE ON OSU: 21% ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yo, recently out of the blue since I have picked up osu! I have started getting random large drops of frames. Weird right? haha must be unoptimized! I spent close to ~3 hours doing every fix for the game on this hellish planet we live on. After arriving to the brilliant idea that it could be something other than the game I tried out bf1 again which I usually run full ultra at 200% supersampled (just beautiful). I now get frame drops! I never had frame drops before, it ran perfectly. I ran my parts on userbenchmark to see if anything was in joe bidens health condition but everything performed good enough. These drops I am having happen even when using my desktop normally. Like even while typing this the computer will freeze for a half of a second and then the words will catch back up. Lets go to what I've tried to fix. THINGS I'VE TRIED: 1. Reset my OS completely and wiped all files (windows 10) 2. I changed out my old PSU with a 1000 watt PSU, still having the same issue unsurprisingly. 3. Switched my motherboard to rule it out, still having the same issue. 4. I switched out my graphics card, still the same issue 5. I switched out my CPU, still the same issue 6. Tried MANY graphics changes in multiple apps 7. Already turned all the silly things off like xbox bar and what not. 8. Used Malwarebytes to see if I had some malware. 9. Searched through 30+ websites about how to fix an issue like this and tried all the suggestions to no avail (sorry I dont remember them all or I would post them >.<) 10. Tried playing the game with ZERO applications running 11. Fully updated windows 12. Reinstalled drivers 13. Tried playing with the god forbidden VSYNC 14. Did the IT golden trick (reset my computer) 15. Tried selling my girlfriends boyfriend to afford new parts (no bids) 16. Many other things I can not remember. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE give me ANY information you can. I will take all of it very seriously because I hate having such a sexy PC when I can't handle a game that a 10 year old shitbox computer could. Now I believe it to be the RAM or SSD, considering these are the only things I have yet to change out that I think could affect this. However, I am unable to swap the ram out due to not having any extra DDR4 right now. I guess I will find out in the coming days when I acquire some. I'll update soon.

Hello, Over the past couple days playing fortnite and other games, I have seemed to notice some micro stuttering when loading textures. it happens the most when jumping out of the bus and gliding to a location. it also happens when running around the map. Warzone 2.0 has the same stutter problem only when jumping out of the plane. both games are running DX12 Specs: RTX 3070 TI 8GB i7 13700k 32GB 6000MHZ ram (XMP off due to crashing issues) 980 pro 500GB (OS) 970 EVO Plus 1TB Running windows 10 H 22H2 Gaming at 1080p 144hz G-Sync off and Freesync off (causing more stuttering) I've seen people with pc's not as good as mine handle the games better with no stuttering at all. Streamers with similar specs I watch do not stutter when dropping out of the plane in Warzone 2.0.

Hey Guys... Recently i upgraded from a ryzen 7 2700x and rx 580 with 16gb of ddr4 ram to a ryzen 7 5800X3D and a Rtx 3080 with 32gb of ddr4 ram and since then i get like 10-60 fps in the Main menu and ingame it's the same with 20ish fps and sometimes up to 40 if i'm lucky. So far i changed the thread working count for MW2 multiple times from Ranges 2-14 reinstalled it on a different Drive and installed all Driver updates i had pending. i really don't know what could be wrong because in other games im running into no issues like valorant i got 600fps and cs:go also no problem rainbow six siege escape from tarkov etc... I hope someone can help... Greets David

high end Not Sure Whether To Get 3080Ti Or 3090
doxiMAN_MAN posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Budget (including currency): 17000₪ (ils) +1000 over budget if necessary Country: israel Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: a lot of gaming, all the new and old games. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): This is my part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gCb7hk Is this an optimal build? Do you have any recommendations to change/reconsider? I'm not sure if I should go with a 3080Ti instead, because the only difference is the VRAM and I'm not sure how crucial that will be in the future (I don't plan to upgrade my PC in the next 4-5 years). I'm buying it this month, I have a 4TB HDD that I'll be using from my old PC, no peripherals are needed, and i play at 1440p144hz. Thanks! -
Hey there, as stated in the Title, i had a happy little Accident and now i need some new PC Parts considering that i need the PC for my Work. I think i stated everything pretty well, but please feel free to ask any Question! OS: Windows 64bit 10 Pro I will probably move to Linux once i can get drives and setups for all my software/games, but this shouldnt be an issue for PC Parts now. Budget As ive already bought the majority, so GPU and PSU. I only need a CPU Cooler, CPU, Mainboard and 3x new top 120mm Fans. 1300€+ should be fine as far as i calculated, but anything lower would be great. Country: Germany Monitors 2x LG27GP850-B Peripherals Hyper X Alloy Origins Keyboard Logitech Pro Wireless Steelseries Artics 7 Headset Marshell Stockwell 2 GoPro Hero 7 Black Verbatim 4 Blue Ray Player via USBC 3.2 Gen x2 Rode Podcaster (USB) As you can see i need a lot of USB Ports, so this would be needed on the Backpanel of the Mainboard as well as the Frontpanel Ports of the Case. Of the 6 available USB 3.0 Ports mostly all are used constantly, anything more would be super great, but i dont necessarily wnat to get PCIE USB card, if possible? Old parts ( that will be reused ) NZXT H710 Case 2x Samsung Evo Pro SSD (total storage: 1tb) 4x HDD 7200 RPM HDD's (total storage: 10tb) Elgato 4k Mk.2 Capture Card 32GB Trident Z 3000 mhz DDR4 (probably needs to be replaced but i am unsure) CL14-14-14-34 (F4-3000C14D-32GTZR - sadly not available anymore) Why are you upgrading? So i was using a i7-8700k together with a NVIDIA 980ti, there was actually no need to upgrade as everything was running fine. Well until Christmas 2021, my Graphics Card somewhat exploded. Sadly and thats basically the main Reason why i have to upgrade, the PCIE Slots are not working anymore on the Mainboard properly (its a Asus Maximus Hero X). Right now i am stuck using the internal GPU. The PC is needed for work and general Gaming/Streaming and Video Editing. As a Developer i compile a lot of Software so generally a lot of CPU Cores are welcome. Current Plans Usually i plan all my PC Components myself, but this time i am not so sure anymore! First of all ive been using INTEL for the last 12 Years now but i thought due to the recent rise of Ryzen it might be worth considering a Change. I was planning on moving maybe over to a AMD RYZEN 5900x or 5950x ( together with a Asus Maximus Hero VIII ), never used AMD so its more a wild guess. Unfortunately i cannot wait for new PC Parts, otherwise i wouldve probably waited for AM5.. Quick Note: I have already bought a MSI NVIDIA RTX 3080ti Ventus and a BeQuiet Titanium 1200W for the new Setup. Okay so basically i need some more recommendations for Mainboard, CPU, CPU Cooler and a NAS with 2-4 Slots should be fine! New Setup plans for now: AMD RYZEN 5900x or 5950x Asus Maximus Hero VIII Noctua DH-15 ? 3x 120mm new top fans ( not sure whats good here too ) 1-2x NVMe Samsuns Pro ( need some more faster storage ) NAS, oh boi after the explosion, i gonna hook that up tho. Thanks for reading and i appreciate any help!

I have watched LTT for over a year now, but joined the forum 10 minutes ago. I want 64 GB of the fastest DDR3 RAM. I want help on where to buy 16 GB DIMMs. It can't be ECC either because I have a consumer motherboard. Before you scream at me, I have a compatible motherboard. It is the AsRock 990FX Extreme3. It supports up to 64 GB of DDR3. It also only has 4 RAM slots. I also can't replace a whole bunch of stuff because that would mean new motherboard, cpu, and cooler AND the DDR4 RAM.

Hey! I was looking around for pretty high end prebuilt pc. I stumbled across nxzt, and they seem like a pretty good prebuilt company. They had a series of streaming pc’s, and the pro one looked pretty good. The Ryzen 7 5800x doesn’t look to have much difference to the ryzen 9s. This pc looked really good for it’s price. https://nzxt.com/product/streaming-pro-pc Is there anything I’m missing, or is this a great pc to buy.

Hello u ABSOLUTE LEGENDS, iam lost... ive been dealing with this one for a long time... i got MICRO STUTTERS in games... not all of them it is wierd but a got video on that : i tried everything now: factory reset- helped a little bit emptystandbylist.exe - no help overclocked and downclocked cpu/gpu - impact on fps not stutter move games to SSD - same turning off and on HPTE- no impact reseating all of the components in pc- better termals but no stutter help putting other GPUs - no help there i dont have bad computer (i build it myself), but those stutters ... iam very SAD.. i know the GTX 1650S is bottleneck, but that should not be stutters ... ANYONE GOT AN IDEA WHAT SHOULD IT BE ? i have: CPU: RYZEN 7 2700 @ 3.9ghz GPU: GTX 1650Super (OC) RAM: 2x8 3200 cl16 VIPER mobo: b450 Aorus Elite SSD-480gb hdd-1tb, 0,5tb, 250gb PSU: coolermaster GX 550W 80+ bronze monitor : 1) Philips 226VL 2) AOC 24g1 THANKS FOR EVERYTHING !!!

HI! I currently have the Seasonic Focus GX750. Due to the new launch of RTX 3090 and the need for 3x8 pin i have chosen to upgrade my PSU. Some say 750 W is enough, some say 850W is preferred. See this post i made on a thread in this forum, and the answers it got. I have: mobo: Gigabyte x570 Aourus elite CPU: 3900X, stock. Might go with 4900x once that launches. NHD-15 cooler, 2 fans RAM: Trident Z neo 3600mhz 32gb (16x2) GPU: Asus Rog Strix 3090 factory OC, 3x8pin 450w draw limit (currently have 2080ti) Peripherals1: 5x 140mm fans, all the same(came with case), Peripherals2: Razer huntsman keyboard, Razer viper ultimate mouse, Corsair and sennheiser headsets, wireless but they charge from usb slot every day Peripherals3: Deepcool GH-01 A-rgb. GPU holder with RGB powered by motherboard. Peripherals4: Odyssey G9 screen, and Asus PG27VQ Screen. I don't know if they draw any power for their usb hubs so i included them. So that is my build. I currently have the Seasonic GX750w, and i am looking to upgrade. Money isn't an issue (to some extent), i would like something that i can say is "one of the best" or "the best". And also it should be Future-proof with the wattage. I highly doubt i will ever overclock stuff myself, however i will be "chasing the tech" and getting new products in the next few years. I don't know anything about multi-rail, single rail etc. What do you guys think? Appreciate the help!

Howdy folks, Looking to build a high-end gaming rig from scratch as my first build, and hoping you can confirm or provide alternates to my thoughts on a case purchase. I don't mind paying a bit of a premium for quality and future-proofing. Background: Looking at a Ryzen 3900X build (or similar high-end AMD processor after October press release) with an ATX motherboard such as a Gigabyte X570 AORUS Master, and a 3080-series graphics card, with a couple of M.2 SSD's on the motherboard. Primary objectives with a case are strong cooling/airflow (thinking an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 mm AIO for the processor), plenty of room to build, easy access to clean dust filters, and easy-access USB-C connection for VR. I don't care a bit about RGB, and am probably happier with a case that doesn't have RGB. This will be my first build in ~ 20 years, so I'm also looking for a case that has plenty of room and makes things simple. Currently I'm leaning toward a Lian-Li O11 Dynamic XL case, and am hoping you can either confirm that as a great choice or provide a better alternative given my requirements. Thank you!

Budget (including currency): $3500 USD not including peripherals. Willing to go slightly higher if needed. Country: United States Aim: This build will primarily only be used for gaming. This is my first time spending so much money on a build, and I feel I am a little out of my element with part selection. Even though I have built all my previous PCs it was never with such a wide selection and high budget so I feel like a novice builder in many respects. The primary goal is to build a rig that utilizes the new 3080 series coming out in the next month or so. I know this will eat up a majority of my budget despite not knowing a true price point yet, and I wanted to plan accordingly. As far as time is concerned I would like to order all of my other parts before the release of the new GPUs so by the time I receive it I have everything else already built and cable managed. I would like to avoid using liquid cooling options and instead use a heat sink like the "be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4". I don't really have an interest in RGB, or anything that will put out a huge amount of light or sound. If the part does have RGB its not a big deal, and I really wouldn't mind. But aesthetics are just something I don't care much about. So far I have put together some items but because of the wide selection I can't really tell if I am getting the most out of my choices. Below I linked my PC PartPicker system builder and while I think the choices are good, I feel like I don't have the most up to date knowledge to make the best choices. Playing games with my friends and family is large part of my life, and for the first time I am able to comfortably afford something this expensive. If anyone has any idea's for parts, suggestions, or comments I would really appreciate it. ok all im planning on a new build slowly in the coming months. heres what i have so far picked out let me know what ya think. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/7dd8Nq i will be putting in more noctua fans than in the list there will be 4 140mm noctua fans and 4 120mm noctua fans. it says ill be using a rtx 2080 super but if the 3000 series is out by the time i purchase then i will be getting a 3000 series. i dont like amd have had way to many issues in the past with them and would like to actually be able to use my computer instead of always troubleshooting the bloody thing like in the past. i dont like rgb and will not be connecting any of it. i will be buying a corsair commander pro fan controller i am aware the monitor setup is 1080p which im quite satisfied with i will be running dual 32" samsung monitors i choose the noctua nh-d15 as a air cooler i dont want to use aio or any water cooling due to potential leaks i will have 2 samsung 970 evo plus 2tb m.2 nvme drives and potenially a 4tb samsung 860 ssd if the ssd prices drop. for fan setup i was thinking about having 3 120mm in front (intake) 2 140mm bottom (intake) 2 140mm top (exhaust) and 1 120mm rear (exhaust) i plan on having the nh-d15 both fans exhausting upwards if possible if not then exhausting towards the rear.

I've been an avid user of these forums for a little bit but never saw the need to make an account as most of the issues I ran into were solved. However, lately I have been getting so frustrated and I honestly need any sort of advice or help on this one, guys! My FPS on Warzone lately has been DIABOLICAL! When I say diabolical I mean I can't get over 60 FPS. I was running a solid 100+ on medium-high settings 1080p 240hz last week but suddenly for the past 3-4 days I would have 'occasional' games where i was stuck at 50-60 frames but after a quick restart it would be fine, now every single game is sub 60 frames and that's disgusting. I've tried everything, low settings, 800x600, vsync on, capped fps, uncapped fps, 66% render resolution, high priority/normal etc. Nothing seems to work. I have the most recent drivers (have also tried past drivers), have checked that the GPU is properly plugged in and not loose, the cooling is perfect. I have done every windows optimisation possible (i think?). Could it be the fact my second monitor is 60hz and runs off of an HDMI from my GPU, and my main monitor is 240hz through DVI? I'm open to anything. My GPU's temperature isn't any different, my CPU temp is the same as usual. The ONLY thing which has changed is it's CPU usage. It used to run a steady 40-70% now it's constantly 80%+ straining my whole PC. At this point I don't even know if it is relevant but my internet has been a bit iffy lately. I have the ping and packet loss monitors up on my screen when playing and rarely (more often recently though) i would get a 1000ms ping spike which would cause my game to freeze for 1-2 seconds before going back down to 30-50. I am using wireless (sadly, as ethernet isn't set up yet) and get 200+ download and 20 upload. Any help ASAP would be hugely appreciated as I take this game very seriously and need to be back on it ASAP for tourney's and Scrims. My PC specs are as follows: i9 9900k @4.9GHz RTX 2070 32GB RAM Win 10 Modern Warfare is installed on a 4TB HDD (which as about 700GB remaining), and windows 10 is installed on a 500GB nvme

I want to build a new rig for the upcoming RTX 3000 series. Too bad while i can build a pc I have no deep knowledge bout pc components. The PC will mainly be used for gaming with minor or gpu heavy tasks. The big question for me is, should i build the PC before or after the new RTX release (and buy the gpu when it releases)? On the one hand the prices may drop to boost the sales they also can go up to get the more profit. There my lack of deep knowledge rly pains. Wich is the better way to go? What do i want to spend: I have 2000€ - 2500€ (2250U$US - 2800$US) in mind. What do i take from my old rig: Only the general stuff. Mouse, keybord, Monitors i allready have. I have one 32 inch 1440p main monitor and 2 1080p 27 inch monitors + one 42 inch(?) 1080p tv wich is only on when i watch series. For the os and games etc i have a 500gb and 1tb samsung ssd. What do i have in mind: The goal is a high end gaming pc with looks in mind. Becasue of that i have some components in mind. case: NZXT H710i black/white edition. gpu: 3090ti 3080ti (sry typo). I dont know the price for one but i read 999$ somewhere. Dunno if thats anywhere the real price but i would go for a 3080 if its too expensive. cooling: NZXT KRAKEN X73. This one is just by it looks. If there is a better alternative iam open for it. psu: Nothing specific in mind but dont want to cheap that one out. Something around 750W based on what i found bout the RTX 3080ti. Since i want to use cablemod modular is needed. ram: G.Skill Trident Z / Z Neo. 16gb should be enough but i have no cluse bout the speed. motherdoard: Sry i have no clue wich motherbards are good. cpu: No idea here as well. I dont fancy amd or intel. I rly hope you can help me with this one.

Budget (including currency): 4000 EUR (excluding monitor) Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Newest games, especially upcomming Cyberpunk 2077. Streaming, video editing. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a little bit of dilema right now. My GPU (780 Ti) died at me yesterday in the night (09.05.2020) after 7 years of day to day service. I "baked" the GPU and made several stress tests after it and the GPU runs atm good, but the question is for how long. I wanted nonetheless to buy completely new rig at the September of 2020, so I would have new PC for the Cyberpunk 2077 release. But with the upcomming news about the RTX 3000 cards, I am not so sure, if it is wise to buy right now a 2080 Ti with watercool block for the complete watercooled system. Or is it better, to buy f.e RTX. 2070 Super and sell it later this year and buying f.e. RTX 3080 Ti? Of course I know, I would loose some money in the process. Below, you can find 2 different tables, with the components. Once build with an RTX 2080 Ti + watercooled components and once with RTX 2070 S. I have a version with AIO components, but honestly, I do not want to go in the AIO. Same goes for the Intel option, but since the i9 9900K + mobo and AMD Ryzen 9 3900X + mobo has exactly the same price, I would rather go for the AMD. Hello, I just want to start off by saying I never built a PC before and that I already bought the Corsair 1000D ATX Full tower case. I'm looking to build 2 systems into that tower. I am completely clueless in what motherboard to buy. I'm not sure on whats the most recommended/best parts I should get within my budget limit ($4000-4500 USD) -The first system will be mainly my gaming system and the other system would be for streaming content/editing videos. -Currently I own an Alienware Area 51, I was thinking of just removing whatever the specs in my current PC and replace it with my secondary system for streaming content, video editing, etc. If you guys have any suggestions if I should do that or just upgrade any parts please let me know. The specs are as follow: CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-5930K Processor 6-cores, 16MB Cache, Overclocked up to 3.9 GHz w/ Turbo Boost. Video Card: Dual NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX™ 970 with 4GB GDDR5 each (SLI). Memory: 16GB Quad Channel DDR4 at 2133MHz. Hard Drive: 256GB SSD 6Gb/s Main + 4TB 5400RPM SATA 6Gb/s Storage. * Here is the link of the parts I was thinking about. The fans are overkill, but honestly this whole build is an inspiration from this video. (I may not order as much fans, and I'm not trying to build a $20,000 PC.) I should also mention for the power supply I am hoping to get something that support both 120V and 240V. I would like to have your guys suggestion on what parts (GPU, processors, RAM, SSD cards, etc.) I should replace or what I should consider for the 2 PC systems I am going for. Thanks! Update: I'm no longer doing the 2 systems in one tower. I'm actually stuck with the case and can't return it. I'm not sure if I should use the case anymore as its super massive and would look pretty empty with one system. So, I'm just going to stick with a one system that I will be using for mainly gaming, streaming, editing, and general use. Here are some thoughts: I do love the fans, but I'm not sure if they're worth getting that many. A lot of people are suggesting to not do a water cooling system for my first build. I would like to have some insight from you guys.(I keep leaning towards getting a different case) This is what I have decided to get so far: Link Uncertainty: *Should I stick with the current SSD I have? or should I just have more storage as SSD and not bother with a HDD? *What type of 1440p monitor do you suggest (perferably with +200Hz) *Should I keep the fans and add water cooling? If not, what do you suggest? *Get a different CPU cooler or keep it? *What type of Optical drive I should get? *Do I get a sound card? If so, what do you suggest? *Get rid of the case or keep it? If I should get rid of it, what cases do you recommend for the build I'm going for. (I love tempered glass cases) Thank you all for all the suggestions and comments. It really educated me and saved me a lot money as well. Please do keep in mind I'm very new to PC building. So, I apologize in advance if my questions are dumb.

Hi everyone, i'll get straight to the point here when it comes to pc components my knowledge basically extends to: the bigger the number the faster it goes, im really quite a noob when it comes to pc building. That being said, i'm tired of barely hitting 60fps on new releases with my current setup (Asus laptop with an i7-8750h, 16 gigs of ram and a 1050ti for anyone who cares) and i'd really like to take things up a notch. My current budget is somewhere between AUD$3000 and AUD$4500 so im looking to build something pretty powerful. The aim of the system really is just for high end gaming, my laptop is fine for productivity and portability so i'd really just like to be able to put a machine together that will let me enjoy high performance for the next few years. Components CPU I'd like to run either an i7-9700k or an i9-9900k for the CPU, i know the latest top of the range Ryzen outperforms the i9 in some cases but i'm more inclined towards intel. Motherboard From what ive heard the Asus ROG Maximus XI motherboards are the leading product when it comes to mobos however out of all PC components motherboards are the ones i know the least about so advice on this would be greatly appreciated. RAM As for RAM, 32 gigs of DDR4 is preferable and from what i've read G.skill trident z RAM seems to be pretty popular. my knowledge of ram timings is minimal so if someone can enlighten me on what they mean for performance i would be very appreciative. GPU Budget permitting i'd like to get a GTX 2080, however the 2070 is probably more within my price range again, and i know i probably sound like i need my hand held through all of this but opinions on what would be more suitable are appreciated. I'd also like some advice on which manufacturer to go with as there is some pretty significant price variation between MSI, Asus, Gigabyte, etc. Cooling Cooling is another area in which i know very little, my assumption is that standard air cooling for the cpu probably wont be enough when dealing with the parts i've mentioned and as such i'd probably have to get an AIO of some kind opinions on this are again very helpful. Case cooling is also something i'd like advice on, do i just want to keep the air flowing from one end of the case to the other with the biggest fans i can fit or is there some sort of magic solution to keeping my components from becoming fancy looking scrap metal. PSU As for the PSU i'm fairly sure i'll want something >700 watts to run the parts ive mentioned, Size and brand suggestions would be helpful. noise isnt that big of a deal for me realistically. Case The case i pick is something of a non-issue at the moment as i'm much more concerned with nailing down the guts of my build however if you have a case in mind i'd love to hear about it. Periperals At the moment i already have a fairly decent 144hz 1440p 27" curved monitor that i'm pretty happy with and i'll probably look into getting a second one in the 4-500 (AUD) range later down the line I dont currently have a decent keyboard or mouse however i'll probably go for a mouse from the Steelseries Rival series to match my Arctis 5 headset and i'll likely get one of their keyboards as well. If you believe a different brand is superior however please let me know.

Hello, I'm am currently about to purchase a new PC. I plan on going pretty high end with this build and have included a link to the parts that I have currently selected on pcpartpicker. I would love suggestions on anything I can maybe improve. My original budget was about $2800, but I've since gone to about $3100 based on a few things I don't necessarily need, but want. You will notice that I don't have any peripherals or monitor included as I already have those. I also didn't include a ssd or hard drive as I currently have a 512GB Samsung 960 Pro and another standard WD Black series 1TB HDD that I use for random storage that I plan on just swapping into the new machine. I know this machine is overkill for most things, but I have a 1920x1080 240hz Benq Monitor that I would like to maximize as much as possible, and I also just like playing on as maximum of graphic settings as I can while retaining high frames. Yes, I know RGB fans aren't needed, but my current build doesn't have any RGB and I'd like something with a little more flair in this one. The one part I couldn't find on pcpartpicker for some reason was the Corsair commander pro hub that I plan on getting to make controlling the fans easier. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Lgyycq Thanks again for reading this and providing any input.

Hey All, Looking for some advice! I'm a long time tech enthusiast and have been building my own systems since the Pentium 2 days :=x I usually upgrade every 3 years or so and aim for a mid range system. Looks like this time around I may have quite a lot more budget than usual but am also a little out of the loop when it comes to recent generations of hardware and VR. I've watched Linus and the crew regularly for years and am very aware that the community here are active and very knowledgeable. I thought this would therefore be a good place to ask for help before I blow my kids inheritance on the wrong hardware choices! My aim is to build in the next 2/3 months (so if anything new is about to be released and really worth waiting for then that would be good to know about too). My use case will be primarily a setup for VR gaming (I have a fairly large space which can be used for the sensors etc). Also, I haven't ever been lucky enough to do much high refresh rate gaming, so as well as the actual PC build, and VR setups, advice on high refresh rate monitors would also be much appreciated! Thanks in advance for all the advice, and let me know if you have any questions etc! :=> TLDR: 1. Budget & Location USA, PC: 2500-3000, VR: 400 - 800, Monitor: No Idea. 2. Aim I want the pc for VR gaming, and high refresh rate normal gaming. 3. Monitors I am looking for something which is 144hz or more, maybe HDR, size isn't that important, not sure about panel types and prices. Need Advice! 4. Peripherals Happy with all my peripherals, though I'd like to get a new mechanical keyboard, using a beat up ancient SteelSeries 7G now. 5. PC Hardware So far I am thinking, Intel Core i9-9900K, RTX 2080, not sure about motherboards, coolers, and the rest, still researching. 6. VR Hardware HTC Vive with the wireless adapter. 7. Why are you upgrading? I want to upgrade as I have always had to go for budget systems and am at a point in my life where I can build a 'Dream Rig' type thing, so want to do it right.

Hey I'm specking out a high end video editing PC for my mothers boyfriend, he is retiring soon and he wants to do high end, professional video editing after retirement. He is planning to use the program Media Composer (or something similar) which I know nothing about other than that it's video editing software. I've built one gaming PC before but I don't have much experience with video editing PC's so I could use some help. He says his limit is about $5 000 CAD ($3,720 USD) including the price of 2-3 monitors. Does anyone have experience specking out a video editing PC at this price range? Furthermore does anyone have experience with Media Composer specifically?
