Almost every Steelseries Arctis series headphone is probably going to break at this one point, specifically if you wear one ear-cup off of your ear to talk to the people around you. Has it happened to you? I wasnt sure if I should post this to Peripherals, or Audio, etc. Googling: "steelseries headphones break". Results below I'm amazed it's not a class action lawsuit yet. I feel like it should be. I am not personally affected (yet) and I dont have the following to organize one. (EDIT: I DONT CARE ABOUT A LAWSUIT, i just wanna talk about the broken headphones.) I have the grandpa of these headphones, the Steelseries H Wireless, and I'm 8 years in on it. Bought it when radioshack was going out of business for half price. They've only just started to crack (and i wear them off one ear literally nearly all the time). When mine break, I was really hoping to upgrade to a newer SS headset, but not if this is constantly happening. And obviously they're not going to fix it until someone calls them out on it. (Linus pls!) They have the gall to charge up to $350 US for their top of the line ones, but I feel like this affects almost all Arctis designs? Seems especially to affect the most expensive one? (Or people who bought the most expensive one are more likely to complain online). From everything I've heard, the price is worth it, but not if they're gonna break. I think it's pretty messed up. I tweeted about it but have no followers, so I thought I'd post here too. I know it prob wont change, but here's me giving it a shot. I think they need to be called out. I think it'd be a good video, but I just wanted to talk about it.

I am flying regularly long distance. Since my Sony WF-1000XM4 get a little uncomfortable after a couple of hours and also can not be directly connected to the entertainment system of the plane I am looking for an alternative. For which I have following requirements: active noise canceling 3.5 mm headphone jack input reasonably well balanced sound bluetooth high comfort tame design I dont want to spend to much money on them since I am only gonna use them for this purpose. Maybe around 150$/€, max would be 200$/€. Maybe an older model would fit? Sadly I am not very knowledgable in this area. Thanks for your help in advance!

Ok, so I've been having some trouble with headphones recently. My Corsair HS60 Pro headphones have started to break (the left speaker has detached from the headband, and was left dangling by the wire), and are currently held together with a mass of electrical tape (it's all I had lying around that was stronger than Sellotape). I decided to take the plunge and buy some wireless headphones with ANC, and I couldn't find anywhere that sold the Sony XM3s that my colleague had recommended. I ended up buying the XM4s (only a generation difference, shouldn't be too bad), and while the quality and ANC seemed brilliant, the ear cups weren't wide enough. Since I wear glasses, on-ear isn't very comfy... So I returned them (thank you Daddy Bezos), and saw the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless headphones. The ear cups measured wider than the XM4s, and it's Sennheiser so it should be fine... (spoiler: it wasn't fine) So when they arrived, I tried them on and felt in absolute bliss. The headband was comfier than the XM4s, the ear cups were wide enough, and the tension felt right. I turned them on. I had a great laugh at the bri'ish voice. The ANC was entirely serviceable. "These are perfect" I thought... for about a week. So about a week after I bought them, while in use, they switched off. Mid music. I thought to myself "oh, maybe they just need charging. I'm surprised there wasn't a low battery warning". So I put them on charged and finished my day of work. After work, I tried to turn the headphones on. They weren't turning on. "oh for FU--"... After searching all over the internet, I found someone mention that they were able to turn theirs on once the audio jack cable was plugged in. So I tried that, no luck. I then thought "what if I have both the audio cable plugged in, _and_ the usb-c cable". Bingo. With the headphones now on, I quickly paired them to my phone to check the firmware version. "no new versions available"... damn. Still, with the headphones back on, I decided to watch some Youtube. 20 minutes later, the headphones turn themselves off. When I had them connected to my phone, I made sure to disable the auto-off and head-detection, so it's not that. So back to my barely alive Corsair headphones. They've lasted a good 2 years. They're comfy, don't interfere with my glasses, and the ear cushions are replaceable. All qualities I want from a wireless set of headphones. I also want ANC and 3.5mm passthrough (for when I decide to play a bit of Osu or another low-latency audio game). Oh, and I'm not a millionaire, so something budget-friendly would be great. I do have about £300 of budget though. Are these demands too unreasonable?

I don't know if this topic is exactly appropriate for this forum as this is obviously mainly for PC stuff but I honestly wouldn't know where else to ask as I got nothing on Reddit so here I go: So, the other day I found a pair of WH-1000XM3's outside. It looked like they got tossed over a fence and just left tbh. I spent the past few days rigorously cleaning the circuits, removing any corrosion I could find and basically dousing them in alcohol and contact spray. It's not perfect but I made sure there are no corroded points touching each other anywhere. Now it became time to test and lo-and-behold, they work great wired to my phone. Sound at full volume from both sides. Now here's the actual problem: I can't get them to turn on without them being wired to my phone via AUX cable. At all. Plugging them in, the charging LED also doesn't light up. Pressing the power button doesn't do anything, and pressing the ANC button doesn't either. The only thing that happens without AUX cable, is the right side (where the charging port is) making a faint noise, while plugged in. Nothing on the left. When plugging into my PC, I get a Windows notification, but nothing shows up. The first thing I did was to replace the battery, as it looked really bad after opening them up. Right Side: This side was hit really badly with moisture. One of the wires (3rd from the left) has its colored insulation tearing off, but the cable beneath it looks undamaged (The disconnected solder point is the ANC Mic, so I don't think it should impact overall functionality. I would resolder it once they work.) I have no idea what each individual cable does beyond that though. Left Side: This side faired much better overall, it's also where the AUX port works, the power button right next to it does nothing though. Battery Connector: Also on the right sight and visually the most damaged part. Could this be damaged badly enough to not supply power to them? Maybe someone here is more knowledgable on this type of stuff and can maybe help pin-pointing why they're not working wirelessly/ which part is most likely to have broken. I am pretty comfortable fixing them myself if the problem can be solved by simply soldering something or replacing a part. (I also sent an Email to Sony asking if they're still in warranty and they basically told me to send them in to have them look at them then. But I am afraid that that will just be way too expensive when they're not, which I am assuming.)

I always jumped from "gaming" headset to "gaming" headset, always being in some ways disappointed with them, previously I had some open back Sennheiser headset which sounded decent but I didnt like that I could hear everything happening around me instead of focusing on the game (when I purchased them, I didnt realize they were open back) and I am a fan of wireless headsets (especially now with two young kittens that LOVE to chew on cables [They already managed to rip out and destroy my fiber network cable between the wall and the router]) Currently Im using a Logitech G935 wireless headset which is decent audio wise, but the plastic is really creaky, to the point that whenever I move my jaw, the plastic creaks. It also recently started having connector issues with the charger (yes I tried multiple Micro-USBs) and that one side of the headset sometimes doesnt turn on, so after ~2 years of usage, I think its time for a newer, better Headset. The issue Is: I dont particularly know what to look for. I 100% need a wireless headset that I can charge during the knight when Im able to lock the kittens out of the room and I would really like something with clear audio and preferably 7.1 surround sound (Although I have to admit, that I dont know if 7.1 surround is really "the best" for "gaming" headsets). I dont talk much, so good Microphone quality is not a requirement (actually, it doesnt need a Mic at all for me, if it doesnt Ill just get a cheapo USB mic) Price also isnt tooo much of an issue although I would like to keep it below 500USD. What headsets would/could you recommend, LTT Community?

The Computer and Accessories in Question: Redux PC (Pre-build) - Specs can be found here. Running on Windows 11 (Most Recent Version) Headphones in question: Sony WI-XB400 The Issue: I have a pair of Sony Bluetooth headphones which I've been using on my PC. I'll go through long periods (30min, sometimes an hour) where the audio is fine. Randomly, the audio will stutter or drop out for a second and come right back in. The worst cases of this are the audio cutting in and out over the course of 10 seconds (which was the longest it happened). The Bluetooth never disconnected and the headphones are fully charged. The issue has to be related to the Bluetooth itself but I can't identify what that could be. What I've Tried: I ran a Windows Troubleshooter for the Bluetooth and it DID identify a problem with it. It listed "Check Bluetooth Radio Status" but stated that issue was fixed. Checked my drivers for updates and everything on the system is listed as being most up to date and correct. I disconnected and removed the headphones from the Bluetooth and reset the Bluetooth completely. I then turned it back on and re-paired the headphones in hopes that would reset the issue. Hasn't changed. When I open my Bluetooth drivers I'm seeing six different drivers listed, 2 of which are marked as my headphones, but the others aren't familiar to me. You can find the full listing here. The bottom two I know are for my headphones but the rest above are either Bluetooth processes or random drivers unrelated/unfamiliar to me.. I don't know if these are all correct or if maybe they're all separate Bluetooth processes and are competing for the same signal? I'm just guessing but I'm curious if anyone has an idea.

I like using my gaming headset (Plantronics RIG 600LX LX1) for video conferencing — speakers, mic, and comfort are good enough for my usage, but could be better — but I hate how the headband smushes my hair down. I'm looking for a high quality headset that doesn't rest on the top of my head. Must-haves: Good sound quality Good, adjustable mic, something along these lines Over-ear or on-ear speakers, both sides Headband or some other method of staying on that doesn't flatten my hair. (Does anyone make a headset that stays fastened with a sweatband-style band?) Wired Decently comfortable (I might wear for a max of 2 hours at a time) Nice-to-haves: Noise cancelation Background noise suppression for mic (I don't know if this is even a thing, but I like to work in cafes sometimes, which can be a bit noisy and make it hard to both hear and be heard) Spatial audio support Hardware mute No ePiC gAmEr aesthetic Willing to spend about $200, maybe up to $300 if it checks off some of my nice-to-haves. Any recommendations? I appreciate the help.

Upgrading my headset from steelseries siberia v3. I have thought of many options, Soundcore space Q45, Hyperx Flight S, Hyperx cloud alpha. Will mostly use it for gaming and listening to music on my pc. It can be wired if it has better qualities for a much cheaper price. (It being wireless isn't the most important tbh, but since my wireless earbuds are also quite old now, I thought why not make a combined purchase) I have also thought about getting the mic and headphones separately, but feel that might be a bit over my budget. (if you have any suggestions, please give them, even if their over my budget) All suggestions and help will be much appreciated. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

How to change the speed of the RGB of this cheap eBay headphone stand? No way I can keep it on as is, it's super distracting. Tried to open it up but can't really see anything i could change to make it better. Do I need to pull out the arduino to fix this? Honestly can't believe it shipped like this lol. https://gyazo.com/7d65337008e183f741e74e4b0801c7f3 https://gyazo.com/e1e963fd780affcd19e2f86d73047fe7

So I noticed this today. When I am in a match in r6 my headphones (sony WH-1000XM4) have a slight hissing sound but only in the right earbud. The hissing will stay when they are on but I can use them when they are off and I there is no hissing

Hello, I seem to have an extremally bizzare issue with headphones / DAC. Let's start with hardware: ISK MDH8500 connected to E10K-TC (USB-C) on laptop and BEYERDYNAMIC DT770 Pro 80 Ohm connected to FIIO E10K Olympus II on PC. Something went very wrong twice. Two days ago DT770 stopped playing on the right channel and today ISK stopped playing on the left channel. In both cases headphones were working without any issues (I stopped using them in the evening and by the next day one channel was dead). I began thorough troubleshooting, Windows settings & drivers seem ok. I tried windows repair and DAC firmware reinstall. Both headphones were tested on separate devices using different audio ports, DACs and even laptops, so it seems that a hardware issue killed my headphones. The most bizzare thing is that both headphones were connected to different machines using different DAC and still managed to die withing 2-3 days. The only thing in common is that I launched OBS(latest version) on both machines, laptop and PC is even connected to a different power outlet. At this point i'm out of reasonable ideas as to why this happens. The only thing left is the suspicion that somebody is throwing EMP granades that target only one headphone channel into my room while i'm sleeping. What could be the cause? Did that ever happend to any of you?

So about a year ago I bought these headphones that have been working great, I plug it into my chromebook for school and when I go to plug the USB chip back into my main PC with USB 2.0. I launch my Amplify Music app which I make music with. I turn on my headphones and play one of my demos, static and scratching sounds. I test it on spotify, perfectly fine. Can anyone help me?

Heya, I'm looking for some recommendations for a headset as I had a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X which were unfortunately faulty. They had bad connections inside the left ear cup and the head strap leather was falling off, which is apparently a known issue. Now, I'm not 100% against the idea of getting another set of Beyerdynamic's, though that experience did leave a bad taste in my mouth so to speak. This is due to the alleged limitations of ordering spare parts in the United Kingdom due to no longer part of the EU. Though I was fortunately able to get an RMA as the headset wasn't even 1yr old. What I'm looking for: Price: 220 GBP (250 USD) or to that approximate value. I'm, willing to go a bit above that budget if it gets me a more suitable product. Usage: Gaming, VoIP, listening to music and watching movies/series Drivers: Would prefer decent stereo headphones as opposed to a 5.1 or 7.1 headset as the concept still sounds somewhat gimmicky to me Soundstage: Looking for something fairly natural and balanced without a heavy lean towards any particular direction. Wired/Wireless: This isn't a major factor to me Connector: Prefer 3.5 mm jack if going wired, but I'm willing to look at USB. Design: Over ear, prefer open back as they will be for home use only, though will also consider closed if they are good. Microphone: I'd prefer not to have a microphone attached, as I'd rather spend that money elsewhere, and I have a dedicated condenser microphone already Materials:: Prefer fabric or soft leather to prevent sweaty ears after long usage. Grip: Not too tight on the head, as I have a slightly larger head, but not so loose they will side around. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I was looking at the sizes of pockets in the LTT backpack and the front pocket’s elastic band pocket interested me for its size. I’m used to carrying around my mid-size headphones (AirPods Max currently, Bose QC25 in-case before airpods, etc) to work and back home in a dedicated pocket in my existing backpack. I was wondering if the LTT Backpack’s front elastic pocket would be large enough to comfortably hold them. Just by looking at the pictures I think that the pocket is large enough but I’d love to have confirmation with someone who has the backpack in their possession. Photo included to show which pocket I’m talking about.

Recently I got a great deal on used iBasso SR2 headphones, condition as new and everything included, except the 3,5 - 6,35mm jack adaptor. The seller said he didn't have it anymore either. This meant it didn't fit in my Asus Essence STX ii, so I used another set of headphone cables I had lying around. I hit iBasso up and they sold the original adaptor separately for a very fair price, and today it finally arrived, so now I can use my headphones with it's original cable. The sound was amazing before but I swear its even better now. However, only today did I notice the original cable is rather short and doesn't comfortably fit around/underneath my desk to the back of my PC. Long story short, I'm looking for a 6,35mm extension cable and I'm wondering how much the quality of this extension cable matters. Any recommendations on brand, pricepoint, do I need a balanced cable or not, does gold plating really matter, etc? Unfortunately iBasso themselves don't sell this type of cable.

So. I record a podcast with my 3 of my buddies. At this point it's just random conversations. Got a FocusRite Scarlett 18i8 (4 XLR inputs), 4 dynamic mics with stands and pop filters, XLR cables, and the necessary stuff to hook up the FocusRite to protools on my M1 MacBook Air. I plug my AKG K361 headphones into the 1st of the 2 headphone outputs, and hit record and we just go. But I have this problem where during recording, I can only hear 2 of the mic inputs in my headphones. I don't know if it's just that the headphones only play stuff from channels 1 & 2 or what, but it's been a consistent problem. I can only hear 2 of our 4 mics during live recording in my headphones. It pretty important to me to have all of them, so I can set levels, turn people up, mute them etc. I don't know how to fix this. The issue could be in ProTools, or in the FocusRite settings app, but it's all a little more complicated than I know how to figure. Any ideas? Thanks guys!

I currently have the QC25's which are fantastic and I really enjoy them. But since i work in a quite office and at home the sound cancelling get annoying with its hiss of the canelling not canceling anything out really quickly, but the loss in audio is just as annoying. I would be looking for suggesions for an alternative to these headphones. Have been looking at the HD560s since they are more in my budget range. (the QC were an execptional purchace). Sound cancelling is not required. suggestions would be welceomed, budget top range probably around £160

Hello guys. I have my G Pro X since 2 years now and it feels like they are gatting worse every day. Connection: When I bought it i could still hear the sound perfectly when I was on the other site of the appartment. (18-20m through walls) Now I leave the room and I start to lose connection.(2m away without walls) Sound: I play Hunt: Showdown a lot. Before I was playing on 30% while hearing everything. Now someone activates a soundtrap 15m in front of me or a hunter dies and I wouldn't notice without my mates telling me. Battery: Battery is still good like on day one Does someone has a similar experience?
