Hi everybody, I'm coming to you today with a very common problem but I'm wondering if there's a simple solution to this. Where there are people actually responding. I'm currently using BOSE Quiet Comfort Acoustic In-Ear on my PC and it's the first generation one's, not the ones with a working controller or with the nice new blue cable accents. Anyways, back to the point. I originally bought these for the sake of listening to my Walkman and since then also picked up PC gaming. I'm very competitive and with the active noise cancelling feature on these in-ear's it's almost like god's work. However! Since using them I've noticed this weird 'buzz' sound only happening to the right side. I've checked tons of tips/tricks/fixes about this and yes, I have grounded my PC and it has it's own electrical socket. With the active noise canceling off, the buzz sound stops. This only happens when using it with a PC. The buzz is even worse on laptops. So what do I do? Will this force me to buy a new pair of headphones/earphones specifically for my PC? This pair wasn't that cheap... if so, what are some of your recommendations then if this sounds like a problem that can't be fixed? I won't be able to hear as precise sounds when switching to headphones but anything that keeps me away from the buzzing sound. P.S. I did follow the youtube video stating that it might be a broken windshield inside. This did not work.

After trying to fix a few problems on my Asus laptop, i accidentally broke the headphone jack somehow. It doesn't seem to detect my headphones sometimes and when i'm playing audio on my headphones, it will sometimes stop playing through them but through the laptop speakers. It sometimes doesn't detect my headphones at all Can someone tell me how to fix this? I don't want to bring it to the service center as it's in some kind of industrial park i don't know. p.s. I dropped the laptop off a shelf from chest height a couple of times, and also yanked the headphone jack out of the laptop a countless number of times. I do the same to usb peripherals too

After updating my Realtek driver, my USB Headphones doesn't work. The only thing I heard from my headphones is the sound of built in microphone on the headphones (Like I'm listening to my self because I only could heard the sound of my microphone). What I already did is : Check all Playback and Recording settings, but it seems doesn't changed. And I did Trubleshoot the problem From there I saw "Audio services not responding". Then I go to services.msc and find "Windows Audio" & "Windows Audio Endpoint Builder", then I restart both of the services. But it didn't work although the services is mentioned already running. Then I tried to run sfc /scannow. After waiting, it seems doesn't find any problem. Hmmm... okay, so my file doesnn't corrupt which is great, but still my headphones doesn't have any output sound. After that, I tried to re-install "USB Audio Devices" & "Realtek High Definition Audio". And it doesn't helped me. My USB headphones plugged in in the front panel. I did change the port to my back panel, which is motherboard IO. But it still doesn't work. My headphones work correctly, but after updating the realtek it's messed up everything. Please help, it's very urgent

Hey there, I've had my XPS 15 for a while now, I'm quite happy with it, but I was not with the audio Drivers Dell shipped by deault. "Waves Maxx Audio" was unbearable, so I removed the driver and installed the default Windows Audio driver, following a guide I found in the Internet (not sure if it was Reddit or LTT). After that I had an issue where the headphone jack would pop on max volume every time I adjusted the volume or played music after a while which was bothering me even more. Now I reinstalled the Dell drivers and the audio sounds like it's coming out of a garbage can instead of my Bose in-ears when I plug them into the headphone jack. They sound fine on my other devices but this one. Can somebody please help me with this, I've been searching and searching, but haven't found any solution yet, and I can't listen to music or videos on my laptop via headphones which is bad whne I want to watch vids while oding homework but my roomate wants to sleep. Thanks in advance, Fredi

So it seems like this type of headphone is the best unless I want noise cancelling. I listen to a variety of music ranging from metal to casual songs. I'm also going to play games with it. What would be the best option with my budget? [Edited] I also want the headphone to have not much impedance so that I won't need an amp.

I'm looking on alot of forums and stuff to get some knowlegde about ohm and amplifiers. and now i have come to a point where i know(i think) that i will need an amp to run my 250 ohm headphone, but i don't know what amp to buy. i was looking at the fijO E10K, but im not sure it can handle the headphone. im going to buy the 'Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro 250 ohm' headphone. i would like some help from you guys to pick a good amp for a great price:) thanks in advance. Hello, I am looking for a pair of headphones that can survive longer than 6 months , The problems I always face are wires getting loose at the jack, the earpiece, or speakers being blown. I have used Skullcandy Fixed, Ink'd, and Chops, Bombshell, and Kilpsch R6. Over the past 6 years, every 10 months I would use the (now defunked) lifetime warranty on the Skullcandys' but now after losing headphones in the mail and warranties running out, I am at the point were I think I need to buy higher quality headphones, but I don't want to risk spending 100$+ to just have the same problems, so I am asking for help. Things the headphones have to endure: 14+ hours of constant use every day tugging and pulling from tables and desks lifting of phones, pulling of laptop on carpet temperature range on -20 to 32C Things I desire: wired 3.5mm jack 1.2-1.3m cable length gell tips, cannot do Apple EarPods closed back no batteries large cups Thanks for looking over and helping if you can.

So I got a Robin about a year and a half ago and it's great. First I was using $20 Skullcandy JIBs with them (good quality in ears) and after a few months they suddenly stopped working, first the left ear started crackling and suddenly stopped working , then the right ear. I returned it and got Sennheiser cx3.0s which are great quality in ears ($90) and after a few more months exact same thing happened. Then I got ATH M20xs and they definitely wouldn't break because they're Audio technicas... But within a month they have started crackling a bit, I stopped using my phone to listen to music because I'm scared they will break and these are my best headphones. So is anyone else having these issues? And can someone give me advice on either how to fix my headphone jack or get my Robin replaced.. (not under warranty because Razer took over nextbit)

So I have a Senheisser GSP 300 and overall its a pretty bad headset and I'm looking for something to replace around the $100 mark. I've been looking at the Cloud 2, Arctis 5 and more but I still can't decide on what to buy.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to some help on picking a headphone for "gaming" use. This is slightly different from what other people have asked about so I decided to make a post about it. Basically, the said headphone I'm looking for need to do the following things: The "best" for competitive gaming, particularly Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Things like footsteps and being able to pinpoint positions based on audio cues. Slightly larger than usual headphone (My last headphone was the Astro A40s, and that's the kind of size I'm looking for) Closed back (noise cancelling is preferred passive or active but it is not a significant factor) Plug and play is preferable, no need to install drivers of any sort Below $400 Wired Things the headphone does not need: No need for a microphone No need for in-line controls of any sort I've looked through several reviews and headphones like the ATH-AG1, Hyper X Cloud II, Astro A10 and several others. The multitude of review sites and some of my own personal experiences give very conflicting views on what I should purchase. For example my old headset, the Astro A40s, were great to me but the latter generations of A40s just didn't sound as good or just had a multitude of issues. The Hyper X Cloud II is much too small for my big head. There are very different views on the budget Astro A10s. The ATH-AG1 also has some really good reviews but again some reviews just plain said it wasn't worth the price. Probably the biggest issue I have is that most of the reviews are tailored to gaming in general, not exactly what I'm looking for in terms of practically, pure functionality and comfort for prolonged sessions in a competitive game like Counter Strike. I am fully aware that some most "gaming" designed headsets are just plain awful, have experience with some. So hopefully some of you audiophiles can help me make the right choice!

So I previously made a headphone stand with just a 2 right angle bracket, but it looked tacky and tended to leave the foam in the centre flattened out (Where all the weight was being applied as it hanged). So I decided to finally redo it into something nicer and finally did it and came out nice Things needed Two Right angle corner bracket Small piece of a 4 inch PVC pipe (What I used) OR Thick wire OR Something equivalent Rubber pipe insulation Tools needed Hot glue (Needed) Hack Saw for sawing pipe (Optional, depending on what you went with) Insulation tape or spray paint in a colour of your choice To begin with I taped together both the bracket into a square so that I able to hang it below my desk. (I later used black insulation tape , transparent one shown here) The semi circle piece of pipe that was cut. You could use anything else hard and bendable as well, a curved twig would do too. I cut of a piece of around 15cm of the rubber pipe insulation and inserted it into the PVC pipe I cut earlier, after inserting it I closed both ends with hot glue. This is surprisingly quite soft hence perfect to be used as a foam padding. Now it's finally time to put them together. I removed some of the foam padding from below the center so that the pvc pipe could make contact with the bracket in order to put them together with hot glue Covered the bottom with some more foam and keep in mind you won't be seeing this as it's only visible from below After sliding in another piece of foam in front of the other one, all there was left was to glue them all in place. All there is left is either screw it into the desk or just using hot glue again. You might think it would come off in time but it doesn't, it's pretty sturdy (I have been using the previous design that way for years now)

So as the title says i want to get the HD8 DJ from Sennheiser and would be able to use it on my phone which is a Oneplus 3. I would like to know if anyone owns this product or test it out if its usable with my phone and that it wouldnt be a waste. I will be ivesting in a amp/dac later on but at the moment this is all i could possibly afford. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Astro A40's are close to their end after 3 years of service, so I'm looking to buy a new pair of headphones and I've recently come across the Massdrop AKG K7XX. I've got a Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 3 motherboard but no sound card, external DAC or AMP at the moment, if I end up picking up the K7XX's will I need to get any of the those? I've heard that the K7XX's are not very hard to drive and seeing as my mobo isn't that bad I assume I should be able to drive them decently without a DAC/AMP/Sound card, am I correct with that assumption? Thanks for the help!

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone could give me advise on which headphone to get. I will use it for music only and it don't need to be wireless (it's just an extra). My budget is around the 100 euro's and I live in the Netherlands. I want a headphone to goes all over my ears (so not a small one) I was currently thinking about the Skullcandy crusher v2 when it goes into the sales. Thanks!
