Sup! I'm looking for headphones within 3000 INR ($45 USD). I've selected these - Steelseries Sibera 200, Audio Technica ATH M20x, Sony MDR-XB450, AKG K518 (last option). I'm more leaning with Siberia 200 because it's super cheap and has good reviews on all the websites. Next one is M20x, I selected this because I know the greatness of how M50x performs and I've used this headphone for 3 days. Because of that I selected it's affordable variant, M20x. XB450, because there are some decent reviews that I found on some websites. My requirement; It doesn't matter if it's Over-the-Ear or On-the-Ear headphones. decent bass. neat quality. doesn't have to be gamery look (but I won't say no if it has the gamery look). decent lows and highs. Please help me select! Also, let me know if any one of you have Siberia 200 and tell me about it. Cya! PS: I'll be purchasing from these sites - Amazon.in, Flipkart.com, Snapdeal.com.

Okay, so I have a custom built computer that I have been upgrading for about a year now. Today (1/20/17) I decided to install my optical drive that I forgot to install when I changed the case a month back. So I open up my computer and dust the inside off and all. Then I install the optical drive and plug everything in. Turn it on, it works, everything is fine (I haven't plugged my headphones in at this point.) So I turn it off, put the case back together, and put it back next to my monitor (or TV I should say.) I plug everything in and boot it up, and I decide to back up some pictures from my phone, and at this point I do have my headphones plugged in, but not on my ears. So I log in and plug in my phone (cheap Nokia Lumia 635) and right as I do that I hear a loud screeching noise from my headphones (still don't have them on me, thank god.) And this is the sound of plugging something in like the phone I just did, but amplified and the quality is very low. I pickup my headphones and bring them closer to me (still not putting them on) and hear a loud static noise coming from them, so I click on the volume button to sample the noise it makes to see if something is wrong. It makes the screeching noise again (it's very loud.) Out of fear I unplug the headphones. At this point I'm thinking my headphones (beats mixr) are broken. So I grab some apple earbuds I have sitting around. It does the same thing, static and very loud. I decide to unplug the earbuds and look up what the problem is. I find this guide here about static, but not amplified volume. (http://smallbusiness.chron.com/reduce-headphone-static-asus-60817.html) I try the part that says "rearrange your audio wires." I mess around with the wires and move all the other wires as far from the audio wire as possible. I boot up my computer and try the earbuds again, same thing. I don't know if it help but here are my specs: PC Case: Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 High Airflow ATX Cube Case - Black OS: Windows 10 Professional 64-bit MOBO: MSI 970 GAMING DDR3 2133 ATX AMD Motherboard CPU: AMD FX 4-Core Black Edition GPU: Sapphire Radeon NITRO R9 Fury 4GB HBM HDMI/DVI-D PCI-Express Graphics Card 11247-03-40G Cooling: NZXT Kraken X61 280mm All-in-One Liquid Cooling System RL-KRX61-01 RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2x8GB) Storage: Seagate 2TB Desktop Gaming SSHD (Solid State Hybrid Drive) Power Supply: EVGA 500 W1, 80+ WHITE 500W Thanks

Hi there LTT Community, As i'm looking into getting some more peripherals for my setup, i've been eyeballing some decent headphones. Only thing that would worry me is that most of the ones I want are either INSANELY expensive here (Europe), yet a bargain across the globe OR are very high impedance. 1) AD900X: 150-ish in Japan, 300+ for any retailer / ebay seller here in Europe. 2) DT990 - 250 Ω. As far as the second set of headphones goes, would either the amp / sound card in a focusrite 2i2 (Gen B) 's monitor port or the (according to ASUS) built-in headphone amp on my Z97 Sabertooth provide enough oomph to drive them? While I do have this thread/topic open for answers, i'm also looking into some more suggestions! Mostly listening to Monstercat, MrSuicideSheep, Koala Control, but hell do I enjoy some rock, DnB, metal from time to time. A good Highway To Hell, some Netsky / Pendulum or Rammstein will bring a smile upon my face. Budget would be around 150€. Planning on getting a pair of M50X's later to take with me to uni or just to have some tunes in private. Thx for any help

Kingston HyperX Cloud ($60) or Audio Technica m30x ($63) + $3 neewer mic? I'll be using it primarily for gaming and occasional roadtrips or on the train

Hey y'all, I'm looking for a new pair of headphones. They will be primarily used for listening to music and watching series. As I want to take them around I'd like them to be of the on ear type, for they are smaller and more portable. A bit durable is also nice as they will be tossed around inside a bag. I also would like a universal android remote+mic in there, as I use them ocasionally for calls, but mostly to control music/volume. So I have what I want pretty much narrowed down, but the sound quality is the one spec I can't sort on, so thats why I'm here for help. My buget is around 20-70 euro's, where Id only like to be in the more expenceive part if it is worth it in quality. Summarised: -On ear -mic -remote for both volume and song selection -durable -20-70 euro's

So recently I started experiencing issues with the USB ports on my PC. After some time (it varies from hours to minutes) all of the USB ports stop working. Also if audio is being played it gets corrupted and starts emitting static noises. I connect my Keyboard, mouse, and headphones through USB so the computer essentially becomes unusable. Restarting the PC solves all of the above problems it but it is very annoying when it happens in middle of something important. I have tried different USB devices (Wireless and Wired Keyboard, Mouse, Flash drive) and none of those are registered by the system. The aforementioned devices work like they normally would on my laptop. The 3.5 mm audio jacks continue to perform normally. If a youtube video is playing then it continues to play normally. So its not like the OS freezes or anything like that.I even tried upgrading from Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit to Windows 10 64 bit but the problem still persists. So I would say that the problem is solely hardware related. So guys please help me here. Its so annoying. (This is my first time using LTT forums so if I have posted it in wrong section then I am really sorry. )

Hello people of the internet, so I've been looking to buy a new headset or a new pair of headphones, I watched alot of youtube reviews etc and most of them suggest getting a good pair of headphones with a desktop mic or modmic. Im not really good with audio etc so that's why im here. I have a budget of ~340$, so should i get a headset like the ATH-ADG1X or Sennheiser PC 363D or Sennheiser Game Zero, or a good pair of headphones with a modmic? Thanks in advance.

Need recommendations for new wireless headphones for less than $150. They NEED to be wireless. A mic isnt necessary but it would be nice. I'm not an audiophile but good sound quality would be nice. My logitech g930 stopped working the other day and I need a GOOD pair of headphones. I will use them mostly for gaming and listening to music. Thanks
-
Hello. I need an advise. I need good and not expensive wireless headphones. No need in mic, and I don't really care if they are "gaming" branded or not. preferably not. I know that wired will give better quality audio, but due to way I use them they must be wireless. I use for music, movies, some gaming. Nothing competitive, not audiophile. Between 200-300$ USD. Also, I was advised to get Sennheiser RS165. Are they any good ? Would be glad to hear advise, thank you.

I can spend around 150-175$ on a pair, but I'm mainly interested in comfortable and good sounding ones, preferably with a little emphasis on the bass.

Hello everybody, I just started my YouTube channel and I need a good headphone for editing and monitoring. the budget is 250-300$. Which is better a cheaper headphone with amp/dac or an expensive one that don't need amp/dac? Thanks
-
Hello, I am thinking of purchasing the Game Zero headset from Sennheiser. The problem is I really don't want to spend money on an amp. Will the onboard sound of my Asus Z170A motherboard be enough to handle the headset and get it's full sound potential? Thanks.

I've recently ordered the "Audio-Technica ath-m40x" and I was wondering if burning in your headphones was actually needed since I've seen many audiophiles burn in their headphones before using them. Is it true you need to burn in your headphones for optimal sound quality?

Hi guys, sorry to keep posting the same and same question that is all over here. But I'm new in this forums (Big fan of Linus here) and I though maybe I could get recommendations and also explanations on how I could improve my Audio experience, by upgrading my headset or maybe buying a DAC+Headphone. I like to watch concerts and listen to music ALOT in my computer. I also Like gamming. I have currently a affordable gaming setup (I don't play First person shooters, I suck on it.) I play MMORPG alot and also The Withcher 3, etc etc, and I don't think my Audio experience is optimal actually. My headset is: http://www.kabum.com.br/cgi-local/site/produtos/descricao.cgi?codigo=44545&origem=52&gclid=CjwKEAjwxurIBRDnt7P7rODiq0USJADwjt5DFg-KABTDjD3vOdKxC1TKabp7yMlfG-no-E7lz5Aj0hoC_y_w_wcB (Couldn't find an international link for it. It has 40mm drivers, "7.1 virtual" 20-20khz frequency and 32 ohms +/- 15%) It's very cheap and I bought it years ago. It goes with a driver software, but I recently updated my Windows to Creator Update, and I'm using Dolby Atmos software that is recently added. My current motherboard is: http://www.waz.com.br/placa-mae-lga1151-gigabyte-ga-h110m-h-micro-atx-110970.html (Gigabyte H110M-H ultra durable). So I was thinking about what should I get. A DAC+Headphone or a Good headset. (I Saw that Linus recommended HyperX Cloud as affordable headset). My budget isn't high, since taxes for importation is high, but I'd like to head your thoughs about how could I improvde it for music/concerts and games.

I have the Asus Xonar DX 7.1 sound card and Pioneer SE - M531 headphones. I'm satisfied with my bass when the headphones vibrate on my head. I know, I know, feel free to judge me, but that's how I enjoy my music and stuff. The thing is that if I turn the volume up (usually past the 50% margin) the bass gets "squashed" sometimes. It's a very similar effect to having a normalization feature enabled (I don't actually have anything of the sort enabled). It's clear that these headphones can't take this much input just like that. So here's my thinking: I could set the volume to, say, 25% in Windows and then use a headphone amp to make it louder. In my head, at that point the headphones should be able to keep up with my demands because I would be supplying them with more power to drive the drivers. I don't know if that's how it works in real life though, because I'm not an audio engineer and I can't borrow a headphone amp from a friend because none of them have one. Before I spend money on an amp I'd like to know whether this will actually work. So here's my question: Will my headphones be able to output loud bass without a "normalization" effect if I amplify the output from my sound card? Or is it a matter of getting better headphones?

So I'm looking to 'up' my audio listening experience for my setup. I have been looking at the Beyerdynamic DT770 or DT990's (I can't decide if I want open or closed yet.) I mainly listen to any type of music, whether it be hip-hop/r&b/rock/pop etc etc. My only problem is, I don't really have a new-ish motherboard and it might not be able to drive them so I was wondering if I would benefit in getting a soundcard or amp/dac. So, thoughts on this? Can you provide any decent headphones that match the DT770/DT990's? What DAC/AMP would you recommend? Thanks in advance, Sean.

So I totally missed the massdrop 6xx thing and I'm super bummed about it. I'm in the market for a (first time buyer in this category) bang-for-the-buck headphone and need some assistance. I do not have a DAC, but I will be purchasing one in the future, so something that has a low enough impedance that my maximus 8 gene could power but high enough that it would shine once plugged into a DAC would be preferred. A couple things that I need in the headset are: 1.) sub 250 USD 2.) open backed (I very much prefer the sound experience and its purely for home use) 3.) over the ear 4.) not look like a thumbless blind man assembled them thanks in advance helping me lighten my wallet <3

Hey there, I recently searching for a new earphone for my daily driver, because my Sennheiser CX 5.00G cable is starting to rip off. I've looked out some great earphone with the same price range with the CX 5.00G, such as Sennheiser Momentum In Ear. Any other suggestion? FYI my budget range is about $89-100.

hi there, so out of recommendation previously i got the sennheiser GAME ONE open back headset and they work great dont get me wrong but its been quite hard setting up the surround sound on them on games like Rust and Overwatch. I have Realtek driver utility and Soundblaster cinema 2 running and thats just where it gets complicated since there are also options in both games to set up. how do i set up the best surround experience on these utilities? i have tried setting 7.1 on the realtek ones and windows settings and soundblaster and in game(4 different options) but i find it easy to locate gunshots but not foot steps they are way way way too quite and some gunshots sound sputtered(double echoed) if they are behind me. >.< im just trying to get some good surround here lol... otherwise this was a waste of a buy im all ears. (edit) youtube videos sound muffled and quite.
