Hello. Happy owner of NZXT H440 here, currently have a pretty quiet setup, but rather hot. Don't really know if i have a best cooler setup for it, seeking for the best solution. Current setup in the attachment, CPU in games sitting at 70-75 C, GPU is about the same, 68-75 C. DRP4 is capable (on papper) to handle up to 250W TDP, and cpu is barely hitting 100W, but still getting hot. Not quite sure if its normal. Thermal paste is MX-4. Yes i tried to re-do the application, no change. Case fans spinning ~700-1000 RPM CPU fans ~900 RPM GPU fans ~1200 RPM

Hello, I've been planning a home NAS build and found some builds using the NZXT H440. It seems like that case is very close to my personal *best* case compromise between available capacity, size, drive cooling etc. Unfortunately it seems to be discontinued. Has anybody seen a good alternative? The main features I'm looking for are: - 8 or more 3.5" HDDs - all HDD's MUST be well cooled (ie. direct blast from a fan) - *relatively* compact, no bigger than the H440 is. Approximately 51 x 22 x 47.6 cm OR 20 x 9 x 19 inches. - dust resistant - budget of AU$200. Open to minor upgrades over time. I'm located in Australia, not keen on importing. This NAS will be in hot weather (easily 40 deg C or 104 deg F) during the summer. I've spotted the Phanteks Eclipse P400A, which SEEMS to have similar features, but requires a separate purchase of those drive cages. From videos it appears the front fans may interfere with the drive cage installation? Thanks all.

Good day guys, so I just finished building my first PC, and I was happy to say the least. Here are my build's part list: -i5 8400 - GTX 970 -NZXT H440 Razer ed. case -NZXT Kraken X61 -Thermaltake Riing 14 kit (for the X61 rad and for one more exhaust fan) -Corsair HX1200i -Asus Z370 Prime -Hyperx 8GB DDR4 2400 MHz -Teamforce 120GB SSD This is gonna be long so bare with me. So before I started building the PC, I've watched videos and read the manuals of the parts I am using. So I managed to completely build the PC, and mind you, learning where to plug those numerous cables was tough. So after it posted and booted to Windows, everything was fine, but then I noticed that any of the front pre-installed fans and the LEDs were not working. I knew they had hubs for each of them so I rechecked, the LEDs should be working because the 4-pin cable to Molex was plugged, checked I also checked the connection to the PSU, which seems fine. So I just skipped that, then when I went to the fan hub, my Thermaltake kit was working fine (it is connected to the FAN 1 4-pin port), but the other fans (the ones included in the case) were not working, then I saw that the 3-pin cable going to the fan hub is not connected, so I figured that maybe that was the culprit because no power was going to the hub. The 3-pin plug was connected to the Molex to the PSU, and the 4-pin (which is plugged into the LED hub) was also connected to the same Molex end. It is basically one cable with one 3-pin and one 4-pin plugs and a molex at the end. I turned on the PC, and to my shock, something was burning, so I turned off my PC immediately then checked what burned. My initial idea was the 3-pin cable I just plugged onto the fan hub, and I was right! It was a relief that only that cable got damaged, and all the other parts were still working good (hopefully!). So my questions are: 1) How come the Thermaltake fans (4-pin connected to FAN 1) still turned on when the 3-pin cable for power was disconnected in the fan hub, but the 3 pre-installed front fans were not (they have 3-pin plugs going to the fan hub, FAN 2, 3, 4). 2) Why did the 3-pin cable from the fan hub to the Molex end burn, while the 4-pin cable plugged onto LED hub on the same Molex was unaffected? Specifically the GROUND wire was the only cable that melted on the 3-pin cable. 3) Could the problem be the PSU? Or that specific port? The Molex cable for the PSU is connected to the SATA/peripheral port, that is correct, right? Any help is appreciated. Hopefully, some H440 Razer users could help me with this. Thanks guys

I built my pc in january 2019 and i was given the H440 for free, this didn't come with screws though. i bought some standoffs but they were not screwing in. i bought some more, they fit in but they were too big. i decided to continue the built but i couldn't fit the motherboard in with the io shield so i left it. i am now upgrading my cpu so i needed a new motherboard. i am currently looking at a motherboard with a built in io shield. please can someone tell me what standoffs i need or recommend some. thanks.

I am planning to change my current NZXT h440 razer edition case(Don't like its look) to NZXT s340 elite(Matte Black). Can you recommend a good cooling system for overlocking my 5960x in s340 elite? Is the Nzxt Kraken x62 a good choice?

Hewwo! I'd recently come down with an issue on my Razer NZXT H440, where the power button stopped working. I'd lost all hope, as my warranty had run out. Now, there is no real fix for this, but NZXT, if contacted, will supply a free power button for you, if you are having this issue. I hope this helps

So i know that this question has been asked numerous times but i can't find a firm, 100% stand-behind-it answer Do i connect the fan hub to the chassis fan slot on the mobo (Asus Prime B360-Plus) or do i connect the cpu cooler to the hub and connect the hub to the cpu cooler slot on the mobo? Additionally, are there any other smart ways to utilise the fan hub effectively? Best Regards

Ever had your case randomly make a clunking or clicking noise randomly out of nowhere? Kinda sounding like throwing a small pebble at a window? I have been having this exact issue for last year or so but just ignored it mainly out not wanting to deal with fear of another dying hardware (Thought it was a fan for a good while) Basically what was happening was happening was the side panel window attached with folded metal tabs randomly contracted and expanded (Change in temperate maybe? Air conditioner maybe?) So basically I grabbed an AC air filter Chopped it up into long strips Sandwiched it between the panel and window after carefully loosening up the window metal tabs, bent it up with my fingers at the end as using a plier made it far too easy to chip the paint over them. And finally done Had anybody else ever had this issue? It drove me nuts until one day I was cleaning the side panel and heard it again and had that eureka moment

Hi there! For the last month or so, I have been looking to complete my Hyper Beast set up. I already got the mousepad and mouse, and as far as I know, the case is all else I need (that is produced officially of course). The 2 cases here are beautiful, and I would like to get my hands on one of these. But they are so rare, I can't find any being sold new. If anyone has one BNIB for sale or seen this for sale (do include the link), please send the help my way. Thanks.

Hi all, So I recently bought a new PC case(h440) and I was going to transfer all my old pc into this case. But because I like the case so much I am willing to purchase new PC parts. Right now I Have the h440 case and 1 GTX 1070(Excluding my old pc parts) I am looking to upgrade to a DDR4 system. I would like recommendations for the CPU and help looking for a motherboard that has ram slots both sides of the CPU socket and RBG. I am also willing to buy another 1070 to SLI them. Thanks in advance!

hello, i am currently building right now, so any immediate replies would be Nice, and appreciated! Ive read forum posts and stuff, but never really understood anything. Could anyone simpliefy the answer and guide me how to controll the 3 pin fans the h440 case comes With ? as far as i understood, it was something like, Connect fans to the hub, run a cable from the hub to the motherboard, and then i fall out, it all just gets too complicated. I cant run the cpu header in the hub though, that just makes Things even worse. I have celsius s36 With its own Integrated hub, and it all will just be a cluster explosion, so any help at all is appreciated!

Hello, I made a topic earlier and got alot of good feedback, and ended up purchasing the Meshify C for the most airflow case aswell as aesthetic. But as i was browsing the used marked, i noticed a Razer edition H440 for only 60 bucks, and it has everything + some minor wear (doesnt bother me much). As this case cost around 220 USD new here in norway i was really considering returning the Meshify C and buy this one instead. The airflow is no match to the Meshify C out of the box obviously, but im planning to mod the front for a open style, and mod the top for an open style aswell, and i only need to buy 3 more fans for the top, since everything else is already there. Is this a better deal, as theres only minor wear on the case, and im getting it for half the price of the Meshify C (127USD) + it more or less has the same airflow once i mod it. It will look something like this: 3x120mm front (Stock fans) - With modded bezel and mesh 3x120mm (have to buy fans) top - With modded bezel and mesh 1x120/140mm back (Stock fan) (dont remember which one) Though i know this will cause a negativ airflow, but quite frankly ive given up on that, as dust will get in the case regardless, and im going to clean it regularly anyways. + its only 1x120mm in negativ, and im okay With that. Below is a Picture, dont rate my drawing skills, i already know its amazing! EDIT: forgot to add my pc specs if anyone would like to know. though this case setup is probably overkill, i know MB = Asus Rog Strix B350-F Gaming CPU = Ryzen 1600 - Stock cooler (im going to swap it out later) GPU = 1050TI 4gb (also going to swap out later once GPU prices drop) Ram = 16gb something something PSU = 550W something something modular HDD/SSD = Some random stuff, 120gb SSD, 1TB HDD, 256GB SSD ETC..

Wasn't really sure what to call this (Box with a bright-ass graphics card) thing. Originally built with a friend over two years ago, this system has spent most of its time with the window against the wall. After finally removing a few of the gaudier stickers, swapping to the white version of the ETS-T40, a beefier graphics card, and some temporary sleeved extensions (apparently, he wants gradient black > white sleeves), we finally got to take some photos. Along with the component changes, I also removed some mesh from the top and front panels and taped some paper to the top in front of the top 140mm fan to prevent heat from reentering the case. This ended up lowering temps by a few degrees. Since the storage drives are in the upper compartment, I glued a few layers of card stock together to make a wall that channeled airflow from the bottom fan into the upper chamber. I'm not really sure how much that helped but it's not like the cables in the basement need cooling. PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pCyxD8 Price breakdown by merchant: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pCyxD8/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel - Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core Processor ($404.00 @ B&H) CPU Cooler: Corsair - H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($107.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: MSI - Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($169.89 @ OutletPC) Memory: Kingston - 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($139.99 @ B&H) Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($84.88 @ OutletPC) Video Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GAMING X 8G Video Card ($569.98 @ Newegg) Case: NZXT - H440 (Matte Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case ($89.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Corsair - TXM Gold 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($89.99 @ Newegg) When i plug the pwm cable to syst_fan 4, it shows 0 rpm on all fans. When i plug ONE fan directly to syst_fan 1 for exampl,e mobo and bios recognise it. Should i try to plug the fan hub on the syst_fan 1 ? But cable it too short to access it. Also, im having issues with h100i v2, i pluged the usb cable to a usb hub on the bottom of my mobo (msi z370 carbon), and the 2 fans to the cable that goes to the pump. The cable coming out from the pump (3pins one), i plugged it in the CPU_FAN 1. PLease note that this seems to run at 100%, and bios wont recognize it (says 0rpm as well as case fans). PLease note that in the BIOS, i've set the cpu fan as DC with smart mode (as its only a 3pins cable??), the pump 1 as PWM and all case fans as DC smart mode. Last thing you need to know is that the water cooling is extremely noisy, which makes me think its running on 100% speed. I cant change anything as all the fans (case + water cooling) are not even recognised by any softwares. So i have few questions : 1) Where do i plug in the case hub ? Now its on sys_fan 4, working fine, but mobo dont read it. 2) Should i plug in every case fans separately from the case hub, so directly on the mobo, into the syst_fan 1, syst_fan 2... -> 4 ? 3) I pluged the corsair h100i v2 USB cable in a usb port called JUSB2 on the bottom of my mobo. Is it correct ? 4) I pluged the corsair h100i v2 power cable (coming out of the pump) to the CPU_FAN 1 on my mobo. Is it correct ? Also, the 2 fans from the cooler on the cable that comes out from the pump. Is it correct ? 5) In the BIOS, how should i set the fans ? DC or PWM mode ? Smart or normal ? I read that on 3 pins (like the cooler power), its on DC mode only. REMIND : atm, none of the fans are read by the mobo and bios, 0 rpms on all, h100i v2 fans being extremely noisy. Help a lost man. i can reward the one finding solution for me.

Final build: Around 2 weeks left untill I get the last few parts, so its about time to start a thread. I'm lazy so I'll mostly let the (shitty) pictures do the talking. Any questions? Feel free to ask them. Part list: Intel Core i7 7700K ASUS ROG STRIX Z270F GAMING ASUS ROG STRIX-GTX1080-8G-GAMING 32GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB Seasonic FOCUS Plus Series 650W Samsung 960 EVO M.2 250GB 2x Samsung 850 EVO Series 250GB NZXT H440 New Edition Black Cool parts: 6x Corsair SP120 Quiet edition EK-Supremacy EVO - Acetal+Nickel EK-FC1080 GTX Strix - Acetal+Nickel -More parts to be added when they arrive Other stuff: Cablemod cables (Can't be asked to make my own, lazy I know...) 90° internal usb 3.0 header 3x 30cm PMW fan cable extensions Custom modelled and 3D printed cable hider thingy The Build Post test build in progress. Success. I made the terrible mistake of swapping the case colors in two orders. So the red case (which I plan on using for a build for my brother) came with my parts. The black one which I'm going to use is coming with the parts for my brothers PC. And that order is delayed for a week... At least I can try out some cablerouting and measure some stuff inside the red case. I also set up a RAID 0 on my SSDs. The horror... Using some paper to measure the dimensions for my cable hider thingy. And the 3D model Next up is getting the waterblocks on the CPU and GPU. I was kinda hoping the holes would line up so I could do a straight line. Too bad, but now I have a way cooler idea. For the GPU I really wanted to use the original STRIX backplate. Obviously because of the cool LED ROG logo. Unfortunatly EK uses M2.5 screws instead of the M2.0 screws which fit on the original backplate. Thankfully its pretty easy to drill out the holes on the original backplate. The color of the entire pc will be black+silver with a vivid coolant, so I decided to use simple metalic screws. I think they fit the build. You guys have no idea what a pain in the ass it was to bolt this screw in... I still have nightmares. Tada

Does the NZXT H440's case fans handle well enough?
Soulzeh posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
I'm making a parts list for my first build and am wondering if the H440's built in fans are good enough to handle my case for a few months before I buy some new ones? Heres my parts list; https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/ -
Hi there, I just built my first pc and when I switch it on everything was working, but when I pressed the back I/O led button the Logo and Lights would only dim ( only when holding it down) Have I wired something wrong? The case I am using is the NZXT H440

Hello community, just a quick couple of questions: I want to improve the temps of my H440 by changing the default fans, planning on getting 1xCorsair AF140 (Back/Exhaust) 3xCorsair SP120 (Front/Intake) and 3xCorsair SP120, two of them will be used on H110i V2 Radiator (Top/Exhaust), so, my questions are: 1. Are SP fans better on this particular case? I've read that on a couple of forums. 2. At this moment, the first slot on top of the case is empty, It would be a good idea if I go 3x120mm on top? Or it would create a "battle" between the first fan on top and the top fan on front? Currently I'm using the "card trick" on that slot (saw that on Reddit, supposedly it helps with airflow, not sure about it tho) Check the image link here Thanks for your answers!

Hello everyone, my current case is the carbide 100r silent edition, is a great case with a poor dust filter at the front, so i decided to buy a new case. I'm conflicted between the phanteks p400s, the fractal r5 or the nzxt h440. I like the look of h440, i like r5 because of the removable bottom filter from the front and the rgb of phanteks. I appreciate every help.

When i first got this case I didn't have any issues at all with the leds. Then about 3 months ago the button on the back of the case stopped working. Until now i haven't cared about the leds but it would be nice if they worked since it's only one and a half years old. When I press the button, the leds stay on until i release the button. Has anyone got the same problem and can anyone help?

Ok soo I have a Nxet case, comes with 3 front 120mm fans, 1 top 140mm fan and one fan at rear 120mm, the car has the fan hub thing and wanted to know how I set it up so I can adjust the speed of the case fans ? The rear fan is part of a AIO cooler which has a 120mm radiator to cool CPU, the rear fan runs off the cpu header and the pump runs off the cha_fan_2 set to max all the time, the front fans pull and too single fan pushes into case. Is it better to have the top fan pull air out instead ? How do I get the hub to Llow me to set case fan speeds ? CPU can hit 80c and was woundeing if I should get a duel 120/140mm rad and fan and mount them at the top to pull air out ?

Looking at getting the NZXT H440 wondering if the X62-2 will fit up top while having the corsair 120 rad from my sea hawk in the rear. Or would i have to put my sea hawk rad in the bottom front position?

hello guys so i got an nzxt h440 and the rear fan is kinda loose and it makes a some noise when i open my PC for a few minutes.. i decided to buy another one and im thinking about getting a led fan, 140mm thinking about buying an AEROCOOL led 140mm blue edition it's cheap and seems decent for its price. any other ideas?
