h100i Corsair AIO H100i V2 pump not working?
Perbox posted a topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
My friend has a Corsair H100i V2 connected to a 6900k and we can't tell why It's not coolng. Everything is plugged in correctly according to the spec of the PC and no heat radiates away from the fins. When he touches the cooling passages one is hot and one is cold. Could this be the pump is not working? The pump appears to spin when the computer is on boot but it stops vibrating when it hits the OS. What could be going wrong here? -
Hi, i have a corsair h100i v2 cooler to cool my i7 8700k and i switched the original fans that were 4 pin for Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition 3 pin fans. I know PWM changes the fan speed depending on how hot the cpu is but i dont really care about that, all i want is to change the speed of the fan and make it stay at that speed but at the same time i need them to be connected to the coolers fan connectors. The water cooler has two fan headers, the first one is a normal 4 pin connector the second one is wierd. It goes like this "PIN PIN SPACE PIN" ( * * *). So my question is why can i not change the speed of them?

I am moving to a dorm room next semester and want to switch to a different case that is smaller and quieter. I have been looking at many different cases and so far the Corsair 400Q looks to be about perfect, but I’m worried about my cooling situation. I would be moving a H100i into the system which seems to be a controversial decision online concerning the 400Q. How should I orientate the fans? Is it possible to put three 120mm fans on the front (two with the radiator) and have one exhaust fan in the back (avoiding the two at the top to keep sound reduction)? Am I better off with a different case? Any help with this situation would be greatly appreciated! MB - Asus Maximus VII Formula GPU - GeForce GTX 980 Storage - 2 HDD, 1 SSD Power - Corsair RM850 Current Case - Corsair 900D (absolutely love the case, but it is more than I need and should probably to switch something smaller for a dorm room) Happy to provide any other information!

It was all cool other day. next day I was trying to start my PC. it suddenly got switched off. I did try few times. but it was happening again and again. I did check every thing. lastly I did check the cooling pump. the pipe was hot from the pump area. the other side (from the fan side) it was cool. I did check the Temp. then. it was more that 85+ . please let me know. how to solve it.

Hi Guys I have an H100i V2 cooling an R7 1700 on an Asus Crosshair VI Hero, I have been having problems with the pump. I am going to list below the problems 1st 1. Internal USB connector randomly connecting and disconnecting 2. Qfan set to disabled but still altering the pump speed 3. Unable to keep any changes i make in the Bios, Ai sweet or Corsair link. 4. at one point it just stopped pumping and overheated then shut down. I thought i had finally resolved the issue when i changed the pump header while switched on, this had a positive effect for a day, I had finally had the pump running at 2800rpm. My new issue is this; all looks well however if i change the pump to Quiet it runs at the correct speed of 1800rpm but if i increase it to performance it goes up to 2800 then drops to 1300. I have had enough and was wondering if anyone could help. P.S I am aware there are known issues with my motherboard and i have tried every fix in every forum and they only work for a few hours if lucky.

Anyone recommend a nice cpu cooler? My H100i v2 limo just died, been using it only for about 6 months. Corsair link shows 0rpm on fan and pump. Might go with air cooler, just not very interested because they look ugly

Hi all, Purchased an H100i v2 from a user in the Aussie BSS facebook pc community and I've not seen the performance I've been looking for when I installed it. I've been using the cooler in a NZXT H440 in the top mount position and had the block seated on my 4790k. I previously used the Coolermaster Hyper212 evo (which was great) but wanted to push some overclocks so I found this one. Unfortunately when I installed it, the idle temps have been around 10 degrees warmer and the load temperatures were about 10 degrees warmer again. I've tried 3d printing some washers for the backplate so that it would be more snug on my motherboard (asus mobos have varied pcb thickness causing oddities with mounting apparently), I've reinstalled the old cooler because it still works better. Though when running an AVX workload (y cruncher) they both get equally hot (around 90-100c) so I'm thinking I may have spilled some methylated spirits into the gap in the black silicon on the processor and washed away a little bit of thermal paste. Any help now is appreciated, I want to delid my processor but I want to get this sorted out first. Thanks

Ok, so atm I have one R9 290G and a 4770k water cooled with an old corsair h100i. Now i'm going to, once the gpu craze is over, get a 1080ti to replace my suffering R9 290 and my question is somewhat complicated in I am split between 2 directions at the moment. Direction one: Buy a EK 1080ti and try to use the h100i pump and rad or just the rad and the h100i's rad is aluminum so mabie special anti corrosion coolant? This is prob my cheapest direction and I would plan to upgrade to a separate pump and cpu block eventually. I have no problem with custom water cooling and I think it would be fun but I guess is it worth it and would it be quieter than another option? And could the H100i be able to support a 1080ti at all? If I did a closed loop and a cheap pump and mabie i would need a copper rad? Idk Direction two: Buy a 1080ti air cooled (thinking the Evga Black) and scrap the watercooling altogether. Would it be cheaper and quieter? plus idk how much longer the h100i will last but I also don't use the cpu much anyway so my extra h70i will work fine? Other specs: Z97 Mobo Evga Gold 1300w PSU 16Gb ram monitor 1: 2560x1440@144hz monitor 2: 1080@60 Etc.

How should I set up my fans for my H100i and in my Phanteks P400 case? I was thinking about doing it like the picture below. Any recommendations or tips?

Hey guys, My problem is pretty simple - I'm trying to help a friend install his Corsair H100i v2 onto his am4 system, and the default Intel bracket isn't coming off. We have the required AM4 bracket, but we can't even get it on right now. We're twisting to the left (counter-clockwise), as I've read that the instructions are incorrect. However, we've tried clockwise too, with no success. What are we doing wrong?

Hi there, So I'm building my first rig and am looking for a cooling solution for my CPU. I have been looking at either the Kraken AIO range, the Corsair h100i v2 or the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 and am unsure of what would be best - I am looking for something quiet as I will be using my pc for audio recording. I will be getting Corsair LPX ram which to my knowledge is Low Profile so the height of the Dark Rock Pro 3 won't be an issue and am building in the Meshify-C case. I would like to keep a bit of a budget because I'm Australian and prices here are... not too cheap. EDIT: Also using an ASRock Z370 Extreme 4 Board, would the Dark Rock be too large on this? Thanks!

I have an asus z170i pro gaming mobo in my mini itx case and I got corsair ml120 pro fans hooked up to the h100i v2 i bought a while ago. The pump is connected to the CPU_FAN connector (Note the mobo has only 3 fan connectors , 1 CPU and 2 Chassi) and the 2 4pin ML120 pro fans are connected to the pump fan connectors. Anyone have any clues as to why i can't adjust those fans?

I just got an h100i v2 today. The pump is making a light purring/grinding sound that is similar to a cable hitting a fan. I'm pretty sure it's from an air pocket in the loop. So far I've tried rotating the case both sideways and upside down, shaking the radiator, raising the radiator above the pump, and adjusting the tubes. One video I saw said that you need to give it time, but I don't know for sure how accurate that is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I turned on my pc the other day only to find that icue is no longer detecting my H100i RGB. It used to work fine before.I have tried everything (uninstalling icue, USB ports, disabling on startup, updating driver) but nothing works. It is however detected in control panel under devices and also shows up in USBDeview and also in device manager under Human interface devices as “usb input device” any help much appreciated thnx

Hello Linus Tech Forum! (This is my first post, so sorry if it's in the wrong section. I saw liquid cooling and thought is was the right place.) I have a Corsair Spec-04, and I wanted to know if a Corsair H100i would fit in it. I was watching the Wife PC Build Off, and saw that the cooler seemed to fit the case. I just wanted to make sure before I drop 100 dollars on a AIO and it won't fit. (I have the same Trident Z RGB ram, so I don't think that will be a problem) Thanks. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Cases/spec-04-config/p/CC-9011107-WW (Case)

Hello everyone, I'm going to build a new PC when the Corsair 460x finally is in stock. Corsair has also released the new HD120 RGB fans, which seems to match with the case. The Case already has 3 intake fans, which are RGB. So i would like to order a set of 3 extra HD120 RGB fans. 1 as outtake, and 2 for the H100i. Now i'm a bit confused, Are these fans meant for water cooling? It advertises as High static pressure but when i check the specs The stock H100i fans pressure rate is 4.65 mmH2O and the HD120 is 2.25 mmH20. It looks like the HD120 fans perform alot worse than the stock fans. The 460x case also comes with the HD120 fans, which seems they are for AF purpose? TLDR; Can i use the HD120 RGB for both AF and for the H100i? Thanks!

Hey, hope someone can help me out. I have a Corsair H100i AIO. Unfortunately I've misplaced the box with all the accessories. I need the AMD bracket. Corsair has it but the shipping is $48. Kind of sucks when the Bracket is $10. Does anyone know of a Canadian retailer that sells this? I've gone to Canada Computers and checked Memory Express as well but no luck.

Not sure if I should be concerned or not... My brand new Corsair H100i V2 included SP120L fans are making a rattling sound when I push the power up to about 89% (2500rpm). The radiator, with the fans (obviously), is mounted at the top of my case. Is this a known issue with these fans? I've tried tightening the mounting screws as well as giving it the good ol' bashing a few times and the rattling does not stop. Would you recommend that I get 2 new fans for the radiator? What would you guys recommend? Thanks.

Doing some upgrades after my mobo died (rip sweet Prince) and I whilst taking the old pc apart I noticed how damaged the tube on my H100i is around the CPU block. It is nearly 3 years old. Here is a picture of the area . The rest of the connections have similar mini cracks. I could also hear the water moving when I tilted it, something I can't remember hearing when I first installed it, so i *think* it might have lost some liquid, though I an not too sure about that.

Heya! So im building my first PC in H440 case with H100i AIO and I just wanted to make sure the airflow is optimised. So I am going with Black/white theme so i cant put the H100i on the top. I am thinking something like this: If i put the AIO in the front as an intake with 1 120mm stock fan below it (also intake) and as an exhaust i would have 2 120mm stock fans on the top and 1 140mm fan in the rear. That way the air moves naturaly and therefore it has optimized airflow, i hope.. Now i know that the AIO will be putting some hot air in but does that really make that much of a difference? I mean the 1 stock intake fan will surely make a difference right? Thanks cor the anwsers! EDIT: In the future im thinking of buying Noctua F12 as an intake and put that stock fan as an another exhaust.

I was wondering if a Corsair SP120 120mm Static Pressure Edition Red LED Cooling Fan fit in Corsair H100i V2 Universal Hydro High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler? I wanted to replace the stock fans. Thank you.

Hi guys. I'm unable to get my FX 8350 stable at 4.5GHZ overclock without cores failing in Prime95. It takes me about 1.45- 1.5v to even just about get it stable for 15mins. I usually have LLC on Medium or High. with all power settings disabled and turbo mode. It is cooled by a H100i V2. What could be the problem? Is it the settings I'm choosing?
