Hello! I'm currently using an H100i V2 I bought a year ago. I have had a couple of problems with it. It's idling at 30-35º (was 23-25º when it was new) and under full load it ranges from 45-75º (depending on the test software I'm using). The first time I noticed this problem was a two months ago, when I installed it after a cleaning session, my CPU was idling at 45º and 85º on full load. I read that it may be an issue with a bubble, so I take it off, moved the tubes around, same with radiator and it kinda fixed itself. A couple of days ago, all my fans went to 100% and I had to open the case to check if everything was working correctly, one of the tubes was super hot and the other one was cold, not even close, opened RealTemp and it was showing 65º out of nowhere. I shut down the pc for like 15 minutes, re-checked the tubes and stuff. When i turned it on, it was normal (25-27º), but now it's idling at 30-32º again. Obviously something it's not working properly, and that's strange, because I reapplied thermal paste two days ago (Cooler Master high end, can't remember it's name atm) My rig: - i5 4690k (Stock) - Asus Maximus VII Hero - Nvidia GTX970 Gaming G1 (21º Idle) - NZXT H440 Case (Stock fans) My questions: 1) Is this normal with AIO coolers? 2) Should I take it to the store where I bought it or should I send it directly to Corsair (RMA)? I'm from Peru, btw. 3) If the RMA process is possible, do I have to pay the mailing costs? How does it work? 4) It is normal that one of the tubes is warmer (sometimes a lot) than the other? Or both should stay at the same temp? Kinda confused about this. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys and galls , i've just orderd a 8700K here in belgium , and i'm reading mixed reports where overclocking is concerned, some say it OC's like a champ , some like a chump ... what do you think is reasonable to expect with a h100i ( the OG H100i ), both temps and clocks wise ? i also ordered the z370 gaming pro carbon from msi. Cheers !

Hi, So I am thinking about upgrading to liquid. I'm currently on a Cryorig H7. My plan was to upgrade to an H100i V2 or a Thermaltake WATER 3.0. I'm not sure if these will fit my Corsair Carbide Series 100R. If you guys could let me know if it will fit that would be great! Thanks

So just got a Coolermaster storm trooper (window) and was wondering what people think of the air flow setup I currently have. https://m.imgur.com/a/WExTN (Illustration of fan config) The red are normal fans (2000 rpm) Top two hreen is where the radiator is located and fan placement Other green (under gpu) is normal fan All fans are 120mm And yes, there is a fan under the gpu... I got creative. Anyhow would this have good airflow or can someone give me some opinions how to fix it?

Hello again people of LTT! Today I present in front of an issue I have with Corsair's Link 4 software. After managing to get my system to recognize the H100i again (by disconnecting and reconnecting the USB on the pump while the system is working), I tried to mess with the costume fan curves, but it didn't work... After some more fiddling I've found out that Link software is dumb... Since the way it lays out the groups, it now only changes the fan speed according to the H100i's temp (since it's in the same group), so the fan curve is really hard to manage like this (and rather ineffective). So was wondering, is there any way to change the groups so it will read the CPU temps instead of the H100i..? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi LTT forums! I have a small problem... I have a Corsair h100i v2 aio cooler and have had one for about a year. half a year ago i got it exchanged because the pump stopped woriking. However, i hot a new one and its been working great since. The Problem I have is that the cooler is not detected by corsair link. this means that i cant controll it at all. The fans and pump is woking, aswell as the LEDs. I dont know if it is changing speeds or not because the last time i changed anything about its fan curves i set it to change the air speed based on the pump/water temp (and the water temp changes very slowly and little) Dont know how long its been like this for but it is frustrating me alot..... Sorry for bad english.. im from sweden

Hello fellow enthusiasts, I would just like to ask for your opinion regarding about AIO Cooling. Currently i have a 7700k OCed to 4.4ghz cooled by a Corsair H100i v2 using Arctic Silver 5 w/ Push/Pull config w/ Corsair's SP120 (The first model) and im just a little bit concerned about my temps lately. My temps at idle usually go for 35*C~45*C on idle and spikes around 81*C~83*C but averages and stays around 73*C+- whenever i play PUBG or stressing the system. Now my questions are, should i consider replacing something to get better and lower temps? Are there any other fans better than the Corsair SP120 for watercooling? with RGB maybe, yes, no? lol. Aside from Noctua's since the only available color in my place are the brown ones. And having a black/white build, that would not fit perfectly. lol Should i consider replacing my thermal compound? Would you also consider upgrading to custom watercooling to get better temps? P.S. Delidding will be my last resort. lol Btw, I'm currently residing near the equator (PH) so yeah, temps here are sometimes crazy. Here are the specs of my rig: Case: (White) NZXT Phantom Enthusiast Full Tower Case Mobo: ASUS ROG STRIX Z270H Gaming CPU: Intel Core i7 7700k @ 4.4GHz CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i v2 Liquid Cooler (Push/Pull Config) RAM: GSkill Ripjaws V 32GB 4x8GB DDR4 3200 PSU: Antec True Power 750w 80+ Bronze VCard: MSI GeForce GTX 980 4G 256Bit

Corsair Link cable on Asus Maximus IX Code
eera5607 posted a topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Hello everyone! I'm trying to install the AIO H100i v2 and I'm having trouble finding the correct header for the Corsair Link cable. The motherboard has a 1314 USB 2.0 header but it does not match with the Corsair Cable. The space without a pin doesn't match. I don't know where to connect that cable. The thing is that the header that match with the header cables is called ROG_EXT and there is an annotation that says "1 x USB 2.0 port (USB1314) at mid-board shares pins with ROG extension (ROG_EXT) port".... I can't connect it to the USB header from the image because it doesn't match but I can connect it to the ROG_EXT header. What do I have to do? -
I can't decide what's better, the Corsair H110i or Corsair H100i V2? One of them has a 280 Radiator but I heard it has a worse pump and it's connected through Sata and it covers less the CPU and it has better and bigger fans And the other one has a 240 Radiator and it solves all the problems above plus it looks better, but obviously, the radiator is smaller

I've had my H100i since late 2015 with my old Haswell-E processor. But recently i switched to a Ryzen 1700 and i've been trying to overclock it. It's currently at 3.7GHz 1.375v .Everytime I run a stresstest or even cinebench, it rises to over 100°C even if i have the pump and fans running at full speed. My idle temp is 45-60°C. Is it the cooler? Thanks in advance for the answers!

Had this computer I built for a little over 2 years. Started it up this morning and the CPU temp increased to 99C in under 30 seconds and the CPU cooler fans instantly went to 2200 RPM. One tube running the coolant is slightly hotter than the other. In BIOS the pumps are at 0 as well as corsair link. The 3 pin is already plugged into the CPU fan on the motherboard, I've tried 1 and 2. My motherboard is MSI z97 gaming 5 and is running click BIOS 4. Is a RMA needed or is there a possible fix? EDIT: I've also attempted reseating it multiple times and replaced the thermal paste as well.

Since both the coolers features Corsair Link. Do I have to use Corsair Link to control the fan speed for the H100i V2 ??? Or I can just control it via the Mobo BIOS. What's more confusing is the H110i actually has a SATA Power cable...and then another 2P header that goes to the Mobo.... So how things work for the H110i ?? It's being powered by SATA ?? Will I be able to use Mobo BIOS instead of Corsair Link to control the fans as well ?

I have two cables that appear to look like fan headers coming out of my water block where do i plug them in?

Hello all, on my computer ive got some pretty high temps coming off the cpu ( amd fx 9590) and (temp 1) on the motherboard which is the heat sink to the left of the cpu. I have 3 120mm intake fans in the front of my nzxt h440 case and one rear exhaust fan on the back of the case and the h100i is connected onto the cpu which has the 240mm radiator on the top with two 120 mm fans that pull air from the case through the rad into the top cover/ exhaust area of the case. when it cases everything just stops I'm guessing when the temps on the motherboard (temp 1) exceeds an amount it just stops everything. I have found that when I run the fans that are connected to the radiator at 100% while gaming then the chance of it crashing is reduced however the fans are reducusly loud when ran like that and its just not natural to me anyways that it would have to run like that. even while idling the fans can kick up currently just writing this and my cpu is at 29 degrees c which is great but the temp1 is at 50 and the fans are having to do quite abit of work to keep it like that. hope you can help Kind regards Liam Bond

Hey guys. My PC has been getting dusty. I got a set of case filters from Demcifilter for you NZXT Phantom. I took my GPU out to clean it's heatsink, and I see this goop from the bottom of the NB and part of the board. It's not from my H100i AIO. Physically impossible. I'm assuming it's the NB because it sits vertically, and only shows at the bottom. What is this? Should I be concerned? Should I contact MSI for RMA? The fluid is slick, kinda oily feeling. I have an h100i i havent used in over two years that has just been sitting in my closet and was curious as to if there might be any buildup or anything inside the loop that might be a problem if i decided to use it again, i haven't used it because the only fans i had kept getting to noisy, and the hyper 212 evo is quieter, so i was thinking of putting it on a friends pc due to them only having intels stock fan, and wanted to know if there would be an issue.

Running at stock clock speed with my h100i, these are the temps I'm getting. I checked the contact point for the AIO Cooler and the thermal paste is lacking, dried and cracked. I already have new paste on the way. I guess my reason for posting is to ask if a 30 degree difference because of really bad thermal paste is justifiable. I saw lukes take on it, but i think this may be a little more sever and definitely with a little hotter of a CPU than the 6700 he tested wtih.

I want to build a new gaming and main computer for myself and school just because mine is getting old (about 7-8 years) and figured maybe ill try the forums out to see if the hardware I have lined up will work well together. For Christmas, I got an Intel Core i7 6700K 4.00 GHz and a Z170-A. Now I for sure want to keep the 6700k but did I goof and maybe get a bad board? I have a 1060, H100i, HX800watt corsair power supply, and all the peripherals that I will transfer to the new build. Originally in my build, I was thinking about doing the 6700k, asus z170-a, gtx 1060, h100i, HX800w, CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB, and shoving all of that into a Phanteks ENTHOO EVOLV Tempered Glass case. As for the motherboard I wanted something that has the option for m.2 as well as a good amount of ram and that it can fit the 1151 processor. Any thoughts or issues with this build? Budget for new parts is about $350USD. Thanks

Hi all, recently I've been hearing some noise or rattling from my CPU cooler, a 3 year old Corsair H100i. The noise is coming from the pump unit(?) on the CPU itself, and I've recorded a video for you so you can have a listen and judge for yourself (might have to turn up your volume a little bit). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2mFhBismKg My question is this, what is this? Is my cooler dying or what?

Hello All I'm confused though as to how to hook up the water pump and fans. I've got the Corsair H100i v2 cooler and the ASUS z170-A motherboard which has 2 CPU fan connecters and a waterpump connector ( PWM header aka as dedicated water pump header). What's the correct location to plug each item into? any help is greatly appreciate it
