back in 2013/14 when i built my current station, i bought a corsair H100i for my overclocked FX-8350. now i'm looking to upgrade to a ryzen 3900x and trying to figure out if i could pass on the stock prism cooler. it's the first edition h100i (meaning not "pro" or "v2") and i managed to gather 2 pieces of info. 1st is that it's compatible with AM4 sockets and the 2nd is that for differences in the die architecture, the block itself isn't cooling the right parts of the CPU, making the entire setup basically irrelevant. since it's an old model i couldn't find benchmarks of it online, and wanted to see what i could expect before ordering a new CPU. thanks a lot! adding a picute to the h100i i own so to avoid confusion.

Hello everyone, need help with an overheating issue. So my processor is a 6800k 6core that usually maxed out under load at 60C. The system is 4 years old and I recently cleaned the aio radiator and fans. The temps are reaching 90+ under minimal load. One pipe from the rad is hot and the other cold. I need some help getting these temps under control. Attaching pics for reference. Thanks!

Hi, Does anyone have experience mounting Noctua NF-A12x15 to a H100i Platinum? I'm having some cleareance issues and am wondering if this is possible due to the long screws provided with the h100i.

Hello. I recently tried to get better overclocks on my i7 6700k. When i first got the cpu, i overclocked it to 4.5 at 1.275 volts. Then later i wanted to do better, i upped it to 4.7 with 1.325 volts, because anything under just crashed my system. When used prime 95 i got Temps: 60 to 75C after 5 min of testing, Then i tried witcher 3 and i managed to get 80C, is this safe? So yesterday I oc'd my i7 6700k just a bit to 4.5gHz and is running just fine and stable. The only thing that worries me a bit is that the thermals tend to hop time to time almost up to 80 degree celsius. It's only during very heavy use (gaming + streaming to twitch) but it makes me enough worried to think that should i ease up on the oc or should I change the thermal paste on my h100i? Currently I just have the stock h100i but maybe i should do a change up to arctic silver 5 or mx-4?

Hi together I'm really uncertain what i should do. Right now I'm collecting some ideas to upgrade my system and have been stuck for a while with the CPU cooler. I own a Dark Base Pro 900 case which I bought recently, I plan on getting a 7700k along with an Asus z270 mainboard and G.Skill TridentZ RAM. The major problem in my opinion is RAM clearance if I use a Dark Rock Pro 3 for the CPU. However, i don't really know if it's a good idea to go for a AIO, like Corsair's H100i because of my case, since it doesn't have many holes in it for the heat to get out. Other concerns are the weight put on the mainboard from a massive air cooler and a potential leak from a liquid cooler, which I found to be very rare. Furthermore, I don't plan to overclock a lot. I really hope that you can give me good advice since I'm really uncertain what to buy. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi, So I currently have an i7 7700k with a Corsair H80i cooler in a Zalman Z9 Neo case. I was thinking about upgrading my H80i to a H100i, but I was wondering if the H100i would fit. It is not the length, I know the case is built for a 240mm rad at the top, but I am worried it will be obstructed by the top of my motherboard, and it will certainly block off all those holes at the top for cable management. So I was wondering if anyone had had any experience with a H100i in a Zalman Z9 Neo case and was wondering what problems it causes . Thanks

recently I've been getting 70-90c on my 6700k (4.60GHz) with my corsair h100i gtx, I don't know what I should do, I think its still under warranty, what should i do?

Hi since ryzen is right around the corner i was wondering if anyone know if the Corsair H100i v2 will work with the new AM4 socket. Thanks

I have a build with an ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero Alpha with an i7-6700k cooled by a Corsair H100i V2. ASUS 5way optimization only boosted the clocks from 4.2GHz to 4.3GHz... Manual tweaking allowed a stable OC at 4.5GHz but I can't seem to get it higher. I'm getting (3) 3000rpm Noctua fans in the mail tomorrow. so the intake SHOULD counteract the 2700rpm the H100i can get up to so there should be enough cool air to come in to help the cpu cool a little quicker and not crash, right? at 4.5GHz my voltage was 1.34v-1.39v (if memory serves) so I know it can be pushed a little further but it seems to crash regardless of how much tweaking I do. Is it due to the H100i being only a 240mm rad? Would increasing intake airflow help keep cpu and vrm cooler to push them a little more? Bitwit on youtube did an interesting vid on mounting rad in front of my H440 and it seemed to lower temps.. complete build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/UnityComp/saved/sK7pgs

Hey everyone, Finished my build and am a bit concerned about the temps I am seeing. Is this normal? I7 6700k not overclocked in an NZXT H440 case with a Corsair H100i V2 AIO. w IC Diamond compound. Seeing 50c at idle and 72c at load with Real Bench. What seems odd to me is the temp bounce a lot + - 5 degrees on idle and load all different cores. I had an i7 950 with an H60 that had got lower temps and the temps were more stable temps. it was in a different case.

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding the Corsair H100i V1 watercooler. I had this cooler for 3 years now and recently the RGB LED just died and started to see strange temps 42 degrees Celcius idle on my i7 3930K .. I ordered the V2, replaced it today and I'm back at 33 degrees yay! I decided to investigate more on why it wasn't cooling anymore. I took the cooper plate appart to see a disgusting buildup in the waterflow/copper contact area that looks like limestone(picture attached to post) Is this a recurring problem with the V1 model? I thought Corsair used distilled water mixed with propylen Glycol to prevent this sort of buildup?! Would it explain why there is so much V1 refurbished on the market? Thanks everyone.

Hi guys I recently built a new system with a aio corsair h100i v2 cpu cooler and I was wondering if I set it up correctly. I've installed it in a pull configuration whith the fans pulling air out of the case. Currently I have connected the pump to the CPU_FAN header on the motherboard and set it's fan curve to 100% in the UEFI. The pump itself is connected via USB to the motherboard to be controlled by Corsair Link. The stock fans are connected to the Y-cable of the pump. The pump operates at about 1900 rpm and the fan at 1600 rpm on idle (according to CL). My question now is if these rpm speeds are correct and whether I should set the CPU_FAN header to a temperature controlled fan curve or not. (The fans seem to get pretty loud and I would also like to know if this is normal.)

i need some help from you guys my corsair h100i gtx v2 works great but causes my computer to reboot at random times it wont throw any errors of any kind and it doesnt matter if its on a game or sitting on my desktop at idle and ive checked and double checked my temps there fine there between 20c-25c but ive had to start using my old aftermarket fan cooler again and everything is fine it has to be the water cooler should i try hooking the fans up seperate to the system fans slots on the motherboard instead of the watercoolers adapter? im out of ideas and dont know where to begin thanks in advance

Hi, I am considering purchasing a new water cooler for my CPU, however, I am wondering whether my current water-cooler would fit onto my GTX 1080. Gamer-Nexus has a video showing how he builds a Hybrid GTX 1080, hence it hit me that i might be abl to use my H100i on my GTX 1080. I know a H100i is overkill on a GPU, but it would become a spare part so why not use it. So, does anyone know whether a H100i would fit/mount on a GTX 1080? Any feedback appreciated.

I have a Ryzen 1500x on a MSi X370 Carbon board, CPU is being cooled by a h100i. CPUID is reporting the cpu is capable of running at 3.5ghx but max it runs at is 1.5ghz. Temps are about 37 degrees so its not thermal throttling. If anyone has any ideas of what to try or what the issue is please let me know. HWMonitor.txt

Hi there folks. I have a 4790k on an ASUS Maximus VII Hero mobo with the Corsair H100i all in one liquid cooler. The CPU is clocked to 4.4Ghz using 1.26V. I have the SP fans that came with the H100i kit sucking air from outside the case and pushing it through the radiator. My pump speed is 2147 RPMs, and the H100i temp is 45°C at idle. This problem has been ongoing for some time but with the cold winter air It wasn't too bad. Now that it's getting warm I'm starting to have problems with the CPU temps. I was just hitting 90°C when trying to play battlefield 1 and had to quit the game immediately. The CPU temp hovers around 55°C at idle. My room is 72°F. The cooler is 3 years old. I used to use a 4770k with this H100i and had no problems. Could the cooler be at fault, is 3 years too long to use it? I have tried re-seating the waterblock 4 times now, and have the same results every time. I checked the backplate and it seems to be mounted correctly. I am using artic silver 5 with the rice method, and tighten down using the X pattern until finger tight, and then 1 more rotation with the screwdriver. I am about at my wits end here and I am considering buying a Noctua air cooler or a new H100i, because I've tried everything I know to do. Does anyone have any suggestions, or know of a step that I am missing?

I heard that the i5-4690k would bottleneck the gtx 1070. I plan on buying the gtx 1070 over black friday/cyber monday. To my main point, I have never overclocked anything in my life and it seems like i will have to overclock my cpu if I hope to get the full perfomrance of a gtx 1070. My current cooler is a H100i and the motherboard is gigabyte with the most recent bios (not the beta though, F9). https://pcpartpicker.com/b/HFPscf Would anyone be able to walk me through it, I have watched some youtube videos but am still not really sure on what to do. I can skype, discord, or steam voice chat if that makes it easier. Skype: swift.fishy Discord: Swiffi #6765 Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198011365130/

Hi everyone. I just purchased my first water cooling AIO. I have been running Prime95 on an FX 6350 OC at 4.4. I have seen about 10 C drop in temps over my old Coolmaster HyperD92. I expected better performance, and now I hope to reach the max potential of my CPU while I wait and see how the next round of AMD vs Intel goes this spring before doing a complete overhaul. Anyways, I have an NZXT Phantom full sized tower. I would love to have the radiator just underneath my 200mm dual fans; however, I didn't really plan things out well about a year ago when I set up this machine. I have Corsair Vengeance 1866 RAM, which is high profile. The fans stick down approximately 1/8th an inch too low, and prevent installation due to the RAM. I really don't feel like purchasing another 16GB kit just to have lower or "normal" profile RAM. It will be quite expensive. I didn't know if there were any thinner "lower profile" fans anyone might suggest. I would like to have the push-pull configuration with the dual 200mms doing the pulling and the dual 120mms pushing. This is two part, aesthetics and performance. I know on the performance end, the push-pull helps the air move smoother through the fins. Speaking on the aesthetics, I have this huge gap where the 200mm fans were, and its kind of ugly. Plus, I'm sure this gap probably creates some weird air vortex. I'm not getting as strong of an airflow coming out of the top vent as before, although my temps do seem to be pretty stable. I will test my GPU later and see if there is any increase in temp due to the lack of the 200mm exhaust fans. I haven't found too much about low profile fans on radiators, and some people have said they under perform. Would this be an issue if I have dual 200mms pulling the air through as well? Here are some pictures to help see my current set up. Any suggestions and guidance is definitely appreciated. Thanks in advance.

So I helped my friend build this computer: PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Brq64C Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Brq64C/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($339.99 @ Newegg) CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($102.99 @ Best Buy) Motherboard: ASRock Z97 EXTREME6 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($102.98 @ Newegg) Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($84.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate Constellation ES 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($83.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 3GB 3GB Windforce OC Video Card ($189.99 @ Newegg) Case: Azza CSAZ-5000W ATX Full Tower Case ($99.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ Newegg) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit ($84.89 @ OutletPC) Total: $1131.79 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-11-05 11:37 EDT-0400 And it all works fine. I finished it at 2 am and I needed to get back home so I hastily applied an overclock of 4.7 Ghz @ 1.3V Vcore and verified for 20 minutes before going home. It has been 100% stable at 72 C although I believe the H100i fans are only going to 50% RPM and I can increase the speed as noise isn't a concern. I've heard various things about max voltage on 4790k, especially for 24/7 usage. Is this voltage safe for 24/7 usage, and if it is, do you think I can either increase clocks at 1.3V or keep the 4.7 Ghz stable at a lower Vcore? I did not modify any settings apart from Vcore and CPU Ratio. I would just try this out myself, but I don't have access to the computer and it's an hour drive away from me, and I'd like to get a better judgement before I make the trip.

Hello all, sorry if this is a common question, but as the title states I'm having a bit of trouble with the led on my H100i. I've had it for a couple of years now and have never used link, but also never had trouble with the LED (it's been white the entire time I've owned it). For some reason though it's turned pink today. I've seen a number of explanations about changing the light settings in link, but the cooler won't show up anywhere. The only cable I have plugged into this thing is the CPU fan connector. Here's what my pages look like in link. No devices show up.

Hi, I bought a used PC and a h100i came with it. I decided to sell the h100i with a AMD CPU/Mobo combo. Problem is i just saw in the box that the last owner lost the littles "hooks" for the AM3+ socket. I'm from Canada and seems like i can't find any place to buy those little hooks This is the link from corsair about those "hooks" i have the bracket i just miss the hooks. http://www.corsair.com/en/hydro-series-h80i-h100i-amd-mounting-bracket-kit What should i do? Thank you all for suggestions/ideas!

http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hydro-series-h100i-extreme-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler I want to put this dual rad in my Corsair Air 740 case, I know It'll fit but what kind of temp difference is there between (like having it pre built/filled) that and a custom water cooling job (like buying the parts seprately and just DIY)? So basically I'm just asking which is better for the temps and money.
