I have hp pavilion notebook with i5 8th gen processor(8300 H), 8 GB ram with 128 GB SSD and NVIDIA GTX 1050. So it sucks at gaming and can not even produce 60 frames in most of the modern games in 1080p. Is there any way that i can upgrade graphic card to GTX 1650 or any other better graphic card without buying a new laptop.

Hi Guys! First time posting here. I was hoping to receive some suggestions on a possible deal i was looking forward to conclude in the next few days. I'm currently using an Asus N580VD FI038T which features an i7-7700HQ, screen up to 4K res., Gtx1050 4gb, 16gb Ram, 512 Ssd and 1tb Sata. Since i wanted some extra boost while doing my music production & design stuff i bought a Mi Gaming Notebook (i7-7700, 16gb Ram, 256gb SSD, 1tb SATA, and a Gtx1060 6gb) for about $800 while on offer. I've no experience with the 20xx series of cards and beside knowing bout' the raytracing features that latest games support other than 3d modelers suck as Blenders via add-ons, i was also wondering if there's issues of any sort while using them on Windows10. Any info and suggestion is appreciated!

so i dont know if any of u guys have experienced this, but my laptop (acer nitro 5) has a gtx 1050, i've used it for 3-4 months and i find no problem, games like csgo, fortnite, warframe run flawless, though csgo i think it could have more fps (70-150). however, just after one night when i opened my laptop today, i noticed all the games ran a lot worse, csgo sometimes to only 30-40 for 5 seconds, warframe usually i have 90-150fps medium..but now i only have 39-41...yes...dramatically difference, i checked everything, from was i using power saving mode, or latest nvidia driver, and i was plugging in, no games on my laptop runs as they were before. Also, when i checked the performance on task manager, i noticed my gpu (gtx 1050) only used 8% when i was playing warframe. so i'd be very grateful if u guys and help me with this, thanks

I got a dell 7567 just about 2 weeks ago. Everything was running smooth until about 3 days ago. Even when plugged in my frames dip and games stutter about every 10 seconds. I play mostly GTA V, Fortnite and For honor. I also get a HUGE amount of pop in when playing GTA 5, the VRAM usage is still the same 2GB as it was when I first installed and played GTA I've kept the same graphics settings since I got the laptop but now I'm noticing worse frames even when plugged in. This is super annoying, any ways to fix? I've tried trouble shooting and I have latest graphics drivers as well as the latest windows updates and BIOS installed. PLEASE HELP!! So i currently bought a Gigabyte gtx 1050 2gb wf oc and after it runs a bit i saw the other fan running but the other fan is idle i dont know if this is normal or is it a defect

So i bought a Gigabyte gtx 1050 wf oc 2gb and i have a cpu:amd a-8 7600 w/ r7 apu cooler: hyper212 led ram: 8gb while in game maintaining 100+ fps it will randomly have lag spike every 20 secs or so i dont know whats causing it

Hello everyone, I got a new job as an IT engineer in a large company which I start on 1st of October and I'm looking for a new notebook I received a certain budget and the freedom to buy a laptop of my own choosing, after 3 years of work I will be able to change it to a new one and keep this one so I want it to be as good as it can. I narrowed down the search to three models. As the budget is only expandable with my own money, I'd rather avoid doing that. I will be gaming on it as well so it needs a dedicated GPU, it also needs an SSD + HDD combo, 16 gigs of RAM, 15.6" IPS display and at least a quad-core CPU (preferably with 8 threads). On the Polish market, those seem like the best (and only) choices considering the budget but I don't know which one of these is the best: 1. Acer Nitro 5 Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 2500U (4C/8T) GPU: iGPU Vega 8, dGPU RX 560X 4GB (it's the first time I've heard of this card, apparently it's a higher-clocked RX 560M but I'm not 100% sure) RAM: 16GB (dual-channel) Storage: 240GB M.2 SSD + 1TB HDD 2. HP OMEN 15-ce008ne Specs: CPU: Intel Core i5-7300HQ GPU: iGPU HD 630, GTX 1050 4GB RAM: 16GB (dual-channel) Storage: 1TB HDD - I would have to add an m.2 drive on my own to the laptop because I cannot work without an SSD. 3. ASUS GL553VD I like the looks of it the most, but it has more specs that I'd need to upgrade myself: CPU: i5-7300HQ GPU: iGPU HD 630, GTX 1050 4GB RAM: 8GB (single-channel) - I would have to add another 8GB DDR4 stick Storage: 1TB HDD - I would have to add an m.2 drive on my own to the laptop They all barely fit the budget in those particular configurations, if I choose the Intel/Nvidia laptops, I'd have to spend a bit from my own pocket for them to be complete packages (a.k.a. buy some missing storage. For that, I'd need to know that they're truly worth it... So, anyone knows how the RX 560X 4GB stacks up against the GTX 1050 4GB that's in laptops? In terms of CPU power, I'd rather have the R5 2500U because it has 8 threads and a way better iGPU. Any help would be appreciated, I'll be using this laptop for the next 3 years so I need it to be good and durable.

GPU is Asus PH-GTX1050-2G - Like the title says, gpu goes crazy but temps are fine. Now I came upon people sayin' one shouldn't be crying about free performance and I know Asus can make good tech, but isn't 1700-1900 MHz core speed way more than advertised 1455 boost? Temps are fine btw they were 70-80 on 1911 mhz and usually 60-70 on 1700 (after I underclocked gpu and lowered power etc -should've been much slower than 1700 mhz at that point tho but ok) I will try installing different drivers, but in the meantime if anyone knows how is that possible, please do share the knowledge : )

Hey guys, i got GTX 1050 2gb by Gigabyte for a while now and i already overclocked the memory clock (+220Mhz) and when i apply OC for Core more then 100 mhz it just not going there anyhow. When i set like +150mhz it boost only by 100mhz for some reason. I'm using MSI Afterburner for that and maybe that can be the issue. Temp is all good, never touched Power Limit or Voltage and there is no dedicated settings in Afterburner to should allow me to OC the Core clock more. Anybody have an idea ? Thanks for help.

Hey, So No Man's Sky just got this huge update and I'd like to try it out. However I'm uncertain if I'll have a good enough experience on my laptop. The specs are: i7 7700HQ @ 3.4GHz GTX1050 4GB 8GB RAM I have no idea if my laptop will be able to render the game smoothly and still look good. Any help op benchmark results are appreciated

Hello. I've got two versions of an MSI GF63 that i can take, one has an i7-8750H/GTX 1050 and the second one i5-8300H/GTX 1050Ti Max Q .I can't really find any comparison between 1050 and a 1050ti max q so my question is which one will be better for gaming?(They both have 16gb RAM and ssd).

So, a little while ago I was playing Fortnite with a friend, who had recently got it for the Switch, and I noticed right away that instead of a good 60fps or more I was only at 12-30 fps in the lobby or in game. I was in a call via Discord and assumed that to be my problem, but soon learned otherwise. Long story short I find that my GTX 1050 was giving me an error in the Device Manager--See attached photos--and didn't want to much of anything. I'm kinda but not exactly sure if it might be caused to a hard shutdown I had to do a little while before this happened where I was playing Fornite, and it seemed to crash, give me a black screen with some colors or a small window of the game. After that though, there wasn't any apparent issues until I booted my notebook back up later the next day to play. I was wondering if anybody here might be able to give some better insight on what might have gone wrong as it was just fine a few days ago. I've tried uninstalling the device and reinstalling it, updating drivers, removing drivers through DDU and reinstalling again. A couple time while uninstalling it does seem to be fine before it updates again to say it's been stopped. So i'm hoping it hasn't kicked the bucket just yet. Which one is better for mainly rendering but also for gaming? i5 8250U + MX150 or i5 7300HQ + GTX 1050

This has been going on since i bought the Dell Inspiron 15 5577, i play CSGO more than anything yet for some reason anytime i go to launch the game it defaults to Intel HD Graphics when it should be using the GTX 1050. If i reinstall my driver the game will load properly once, after that it just keeps defaulting back to Intel HD. This doesn't happen with any other game (besides Minecraft but i'm not too worried about that) Any suggestions?

Hi, can anyone tell me the different between the GTX-1050 and the GTX-1050M ? I am looking for a gaming laptop around £1000 and those are my options.

I plan to get a hp pavilion 15 with i7 7700hq processor , gtx 1050 , 12gb ddr4 , 4gb gddr4 . It sounds like a pretty decent gaming laptop for its price ( USD 942 ) but I don't see any major youtubers reviewing it so it makes me wonder is it a good gaming laptop ?

What do you think, What will be the power of the GTX 1050? Every Pascal card was better than last gen Maxwell card(same tier) by ~80%. GTX 1080 = 980 + 80% more power (>TitanX) GTX 1070 = 970 + 80% more power (>980 Ti) GTX 1060 = 960 + 80% more power ( ~980) But can 1050 get 80% more perfomance than 950? That would make it 1050 = 970, but thats very unlikely. A lot of people are saying that 1050 will compete with RX 460, but I really doubt it. 460 is very weak, It sits in between GTX 750 Ti and 950 in DX11. And In Dx12 and Vulkan it wins, but not by much. I think 1050 will have power of R9 380X, because there Is a big difference in RX 460 and RX 470, and R9 380X just sits in the middle, Its quiet possible GTX 1050 to have RX 470 power, but again Its highly unlikely. 380X is really powerful card, but it generates a lot of heat and is very power hungry. Also 2GB and 4GB variants might have different specs like Nvidia did with GTX 1060. What do you think?

so i have a gtx 1050 ti 4gb on an msi 970 gaming mobo and a fx8350 cpu with a 650w psu and for some reason my gpu fans do not spin at all. whenever i play overwatch the fans do not spin and my gpu temps is going up to 90c and the fans are still not spinning i clean out the dust and tried msi afterburner and yet the fans still do not spin i check cpuid for my temps but it says that the fans are at 100% but they dont spin i dont know what to do please help
