So I recently won a EVGA GTX 950 gpu and I tried installing it into my current set up. Current set up AMD FX 6350 Asus m5a97 le r2.0 Asus GTX 650 Vulcan 8gb ddr3 ram 700W power supply (forgot the name) kingston hyperx 120gb ssd The problem is when I plug in the gpu and the 8pin power (6pin + 2 pin) and i boot the system, the fans would run but my monitor would have no signal. I tried reinstalling the gpu and what not but to no avail. I dont know if the gpu is broken or what because I just put my old gpu in and everything works fine. Note: I uninstalled all old drivers before attempting to install the new gpu. I have already flashed the bios to the most recent version. My motherboard does not have vga capabilities and there are no integrated graphics. I dont know if this is an issue with the general motherboard compatibility or do I have a defective gpu since my old gpu works perfectly fine. Thanks for any response.

Ok, before someone says to buy an AMD card, I'm buying an Nvidia card because I use Shadowplay and Gamestream, a lot. I know that AMD has GVR, but I heavily prefer Shadowplay. Now back on topic, I'm planning on upgrading to a 950 from my measly 650 (they even compared the 950 to the 650 for their benchmarks) and I need a new CPU as well. My AMD A4-5300 was carried over from my old computer which had 2 GB of RAM. You can tell that it's the best CPU ever, but I'd like a recommendation for a processor to go with the 950 that I plan on getting. I've been eyeing the i3-4170, but at the same time I'm on a budget of roughly $400 and I'd definitely rather keep it under $400. If I do snag an i3-4170 I plan to also grab the MSI-Z97 Guard Pro as the features are nice and it sells for $80 at my local tech store. I'd rather stay away from AMD CPUs because the upgrade paths aren't exactly amazing and I'm pretty sure that AMD CPUs are effective at cooking eggs and are better than my toaster at burning bread. I achieved plus 190 MHz on the core and plus 600 MHz on the memory. This gave me a GPU clock of 1506 when gaming. In BF4 ULTRA test range the 950 gained 14% more FPS (50 normal, 57 overclocked). In the ULTIMATE Tomb Raider benchmark the card achieved 13.3% more FPS (48.7 normal, 55.2 overclocked). Fan Noise The fan doesn't turn on until the card hits about 62°C and even then runs at a very low RPM to achieve near silent gaming. Temps Overall the temps are very good for this twin frozr V cooler, at idle it's 32°C and when gaming stays around 61°C. During overclocking it hit a maximum of 63°C. The ambient temp of the room was 24°C. Conclusion Pros Good for competitive games at 1080p, plays any game at 1080p, beefy cooler, nice LED that can be customised, good factory OC, low clock speeds on idle. Cons The Australian retail price of $260 is high for a budget orientated GPU. PICS

Bought this rx 590 a week ago, but i'm not happy with it, i specially bought it cause people suggested me to buy an amd gpu because i meant to do graphics designing with it. but it had some driver issue like msi, gpu-z cant show its temp, core clock or anything, msi afterburner doing the same,,it cant even so its driver version, but then i found wattman, then i'm like "ok , let's be easy with it and its to forget about other 3rd party software' cause wattman was showing everything,, i was kinda happy until now like i said i bought it for graphics designing so i installed unreal engine 4, and it doesn't work, i though its engine problem so i installed another version and still facing the problem, it lags like 1frame per 5 sec, and if i click on something then a black bar appears, i again thought i should update my windows 10, but before updating i installed my old gtx 950, and unreal engine 4 works smoothly, not a single lag or black bar, now i just don't know what to do,,doesn't amd support unreal engine? or is there something to do with my gpu hardware/software? Wasted all those money for nothing, now cant even use what i always wanted to first time using amd gpu and i'm not even satisfied.
