Is the gtx 780 good enough to play crysis 3 at max setting? Or should i go for 780 ti?

Hy guys ! I'm starting a little project with Peltier cooling units code named TEC . I wanna know if somebody else tried it and I will provide photos and data as soon as I start it . Now I run a overclock of 130% power and 90 oC max temp on a reference cooling design with 165+ at the Core Clock and 650+ on the Memory (+37 mV Core voltage ) . Also do you know any other method to increase voltage or maybe help me with the overclock because it will be 40 oC on 100% usage and I want to overclock the hell out of it ! Thanks in advance !

I think this is an awesome deal. 358€ for a gtx 780 lightning. If anyone can point me to a cheaper one that's close by, i'll gladly buy it. I want to buy this one, but...but...was saving for something else decisions decisions... http://www.jacob-computer.de/_artnr_1811468.html?ref=9 (it's a ref link coz it's trough idealo.de which gives a bit of discount)

I have been planning to do my first build for months and choosing all the parts that could give me the best price to performance and last a long time. I'm stuck in between buying a GTX 780 or a GTX 970. I've seen benchmarks using the games I would most likely be playing but there were ones that showed the 970 doing better than the 780 and vice versa. I've looked over the specs for both cards and I don't know what to do. The 970 has a higher core and boost clock but less Cuda cores, a smaller memory interface but larger memory size, faster memory speed, and a lower power overhead than the 780. I haven't decided if I will overclock either of the cards but later down the line I most likely will. It is just hard for me to choose for some reason and I would love to hear some opinions. Thank you for your time.

Hello all, This is my first ever forum post so I apologise if I do it wrong. I just finished building my pc this afternoon, got pretty much everything running, and wanted to play Titanfall. However, the colors were messed up, as it seemed red and black had been switched. In the menu screen for example, the entire boarder was red. I know I haven't posted much info here, as I don't really know were to begin. I am currently running an MSI gtx 780 twin frozr and GeForce experience says I have the latest drivers. Thanks, if anyone could even point me in the right direction, that would be great.

Sup guys, I am building a new gaming pc here in Singapore. I am 14 years old and am quite interested in building. I have experience in building pc. I also want to make sure because this is the first pc i am building with my own money. So tell me what you guys think and i am not a rich kid, these are my saved up money. Thank you for your opinions. How do you suggest that these things are sufficient. I want to play bf4 on ultra settings at 1080p at more than 80-100 fps constantly. Hello people. New member here, excited to join you all! I'm in a bit of a dilemma. Last time I built a PC was 2009. A bit overwhelmed about all the pros and cons of certain build configurations. Now that I'm starting to learn all about PC building again, I realized that I never really cared for overclocking. Never even tried. Higher temps and warranty voiding just scared me away. So I wanted to do a mATX build with a white Bitfenix Prodigy M. I know, I know, it's a notoriously difficult case to work with, with badly designed airflow, but I'd be able to overlook that for its sweet, sweet looks. (aesthetics is just as important, right?) Besides, it's not like I'm likely to be doing SLI or overclocking even. Unless you think I should try. If so, tell me why. I might change my mind. GTX 770 was my first choice, but the 2GB memory just doesn't seem adequate in the long run. So 780 seems like a better choice. But then 970 and 980 came around! But I'll be locked with a 60fps max 60Hz 1080p 23" IPS monitor anyways. So would that be a tremendous waste of money? And so my point is, would I regret getting the H97M? (possibly by Gigabyte or Asus) With a locked processor? I could go with 4690k and a Z97M, with a nice OC and SLI option, but the Prodigy M would get so cramped, and I won't be able to afford the GTX 780 or even the new 980 when it comes to my local shops! D: Anyways, I'm confused, I look forward to any help, thanks!

I just built my computer around three months ago. I purchased the parts thinking that I wouldn't need to upgrade them in a very long time. Yesterday, however, I noticed that the GTX 780 was on sale so I decided to buy another one. My only issue is that my power supply (Corsair HX750) may not be capable of running 780's in SLI with all of the other parts. Here are the parts in my computer http://pcpartpicker.com/user/crakedapple/saved/. Should I buy another power supply or will my current one be good enough? I am concerned particularly because I am running 10 fans and the NZXT Hue. Thank you for your time.

I was looking at GPU's on Newegg and I saw that the gtx 700 series graphic cards when down in price because of the release of the 900 series. I wasn't looking to spend more then $350 on a new GPU. I went to look at the 780 to look at how much it dropped in price and I saw that the MSI Gaming 780 3GB was on sale for $340 including shipping and it came with a free game code for the new Borderlands game. I decided to purchase the MSI 780 to replace my MSI 660 ti which I bought when it was first released in Aug 2012. Do you think it was a good choice to buy the 780 which is a tad bit faster and a year older then the 970 or do you think it was a better choice to buy the gtx 970 which is a bit more power efficient and newer. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks for your time!

I am planning on purchasing a Kraken G10 for my build as the top card in my SLI configuration runs quite hot and noisy. It is a EVGA Gtx 780 w/ ACX. I have never done any sort of water cooling before (I run a Phanteks ph-pc14pe on my cpu). I have a couple of questions. 1. What AIO liquid cooler should I get? I looking at the Kraken X41. My case is the NZXT H440. 2. Do I need VRM/VRAM heatsinks on the GPU? I read in many places that the G10 does not provide adequate cooling for the VRM. Will I need it on my 780? 3. Where should I mount the radiator? Should I put it in the front intake or should I put it in the back/top exhaust? Thank you for reading. I would appreciate any type of support possible.

So I'm planning to build a new pc and I really want to go for a gtx 780. I have been checking up the internet and asking some people as well and I'm getting kind of mixed and confusing answers. So what I'm concerned about is will an fx 8350 along with a gtx 780 in the system bottleneck ? and also what about an i5 4690k with a gtx 780, will it bottleneck ? If neither one of the setups have any bottleneck issues then which cpu would be a better choice to go for, fx 8350 or an i5 4690k for a strictly gaming build ? As you can guess I have a budget restraint so I don't really want to go for an i7 unless thats like the only way I could run a gtx 780 without any bottleneck issues. Any kind of response would be appreciated. I'm in kind of a rush and I don't really have anyone around who is good with 'tech' stuffs so if anyone comes across this please do share your suggestions. Thanks for your time.

Hey guys, So, here is my computer's spec: CPU: Core i7 3930k @3.2 Mainboard: Rampage IV Extreme GPU: MSI GTX780 Lightning Memory: Kingston HyperX Genesis Series 16G (2x8GB) DDR3 Bus 1600Mhz (KHX16C10P1K2/16). (I'm thinking about getting RipjawZ for replacement) Storage: SSD Plextor M5Pro Series 128GB SATA3 for Windows WD Black 3Tb for data storage CPU Cooler Hydro Series™ H100i PSU: Antec - EA-650 Platinum Case Corsair Vengeance C70 What happens time to time when I perform some heavy work (especially HD video editing on Premiere and After Effects), the video card would auto shut down with the message: "Video card has stopped working..." It does not happen regularly, but it really bugs me. For sometime, even when I play Dota 2 or some normal games, the card still shut down even though it played smoothly. I don't know what cause the problem. The PSU maybe? Oh, one more thing, it's not only the video card have auto shutdown problem, my computer also get blue screen when I wake it up from sleeping mode or when I turn it off without closing some applications first (Bitcomet by example). And in both cases, nothing is overheating, so... Thank you. And sorry for my English...

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to review my build <3 Goal — This build is a gaming machine that can run the next couple (hopefully longer) years big title games on Ultra / High at +60 FPS. Thought Process: I plan to run it on one 2560 x 1440 @60hz monitor so I wanted at least a 780 I plan to dabble in overclocking (I am new to all of this still) I plan to upgrade with an Dual SLI of GTX 780 -or- the newest GPU I can afford at the time I plan to upgrade to a second 1440p when I get the new GPU Concerns: I don't know if the AMD cards would perform better at my intended resolution I am not 100% sure everything is compatible If I do run SLI, will the 860W be enough? Do I need the i7 if I mainly game—or would the extra $100 be better spent at an 780 TI? Am I missing components to increase efficiency? Is everything balanced? Thanks for helping me out! I greatly appreciate it Like I said, my main objective was to build a machine that could run the new generation of PC games at high end graphic settings while maintaining a minimum of 60 FPS The Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3sB6B —Asher0012

In Grid 2 I am getting terrible fps, between 15 and 25, using a GTX 780. My GPU usage is hovering around 50% in menus, dropping to 8% during a race. My system: AMD FX-6200 Nvidia GTX 780 8GB DDR3 Is there any way to get better fps. There are loads of youtube videos with this card running the game smoothly, and this CPU really should be good enough to run the game. Any help with this will be very much appreciated.

Green Menace I built my first system over in Desember, it consisted of a 3700k and an Asus 670 2GB. It had ok cable menagement in the Coolermaster HAF X and it didnt make alot of noise with the Coolermaster v8 cooler. This is what it looked like: A few months after i felt it was getting a bit slow for my needs in gaming as i like to max out all games and run with a minimum of 60fps. It was also a bit too heavy to bring to lan partys like "The Gathering" in norway and i wanted a smaller and better looking case. So i recently bought a few new parts. List: Corsair H100i 5xCorsair 120mm SP fans Corsair Carbide 300r (no window yet, keeping sidepanel off) 2 x Msi GTX 780 3GB Corsair 860w PSU with green sleeved cables. I spent a few hours getting the radiator to fit in the top of the case as the motherboard, even with the thermal shielding removed, didnt let me use the standard mounting holes for fans in the top. So i improvised :P) The cable management, even though there isnt really a lot of holes or room for it, is excelent. I chose not to add any LED strips yet because its very "flashy" for my taste but im considering white LEd strips. So with nothing more to talk about, this is what it looks like:

Hello, So the EVGA GTX780 Classified is available now, is it worth the 40 dollar premium over the normal acx one or should I just wait for the lightning? Thank you.

Hi Guys, Planning a new build, but not sure which graphics card to go for. I'm split between two different Nvidia GTX 780's. Gigabyte GTX 780 Windforce 3X OC http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4621#ov or EVGA GTX 780 Superclocked with ACX cooler http://eu.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=03G-P4-2784-KR&family=GeForce%20700%20Series%20Family&uc=EUR I've seen a few benchmarks of these cards and have seen them outperform the Titan in some games, which is Awesome! If anyone has experience with either of these cards, your input would be appreciated. cheers, J
