I was thinking of upgrading my graphics card because a 660 (non ti) which i have right now won't really be up to running star citizen or battlefield 4 or any newly released titles on high/ultra at 1440p. So, I've got a budget of about £250~£300 which is about $400~$500 and the high end gpus which fit into that price bracket are the 290/290x, gtx 970, gtx 780/780 ti. Going by various benchmarks the 970 and 780 ti seem to be the two highest performing gpus out of that bunch and also seem to perform similarly. So which one should i get? 970, 780 ti or maybe wait 6 months maybe for a 390/390X? not really sure what to do, that's why I'm posting this. Could do with advice as this gpu will probably be with me for about the next 2-3 years. Any ideas?

Recently I got a 780 ti graphics card and its been serving me pretty good but I know it is being bottle-necked by my FX 4000 series cpu and I have been looking to upgrade to a CPU where I will not have bottle-necking issues, I would get an Intel but obviously I have an AMD motherboard and I don't want to but a new motherboard and swap the whole thing out as well.

Hello. I am building a pc for video editing and composting a little 3d work. I will be using mostly after effects and a little premiere and c4d. My question is should I buy a Nvidia quadro k4000 or a gtx 780ti. Price is not a problem. But it is not just rendering I care about. I also want fast preview times. I will only be having one or another in my system and no other card. Edit: I mean k4000 not 400

So I have been looking into all these VRAMS, 3, 4, and 6 and It seems like 3 GB is the "sweet spot" according to Digital Storm (Huge thanks to them, their videos are extremely helpful.) http://www.digitalstormonline.com/unlocked/video-memory-usage-at-4k-uhd-resolutions-idnum146/ But my ultimate question is, when more graphic intensive games come out (4K Res Textures), will the 3 GB still hold? How long would 3GB of VRAM become obsolete?

This is my first build and I'm still a little confused on how to make sure a case can hold a certain sized MoBo and that MoBo can hold (and use) a certain sized Graphics card with that case. I've watched a bunch of linustech videos on youtube, read the comments, read comments on amazon, but I'm still finding it difficult to make sure 110% that everything will fit properly, work well with each other, I really don't want to have to send anything back. I based my build off of THIS video. I'll post my other computer specs below, just encase someone spots a problem. Thank you so much for helping and reviewing my (hopefully) future build. P.S. If you have any sites that might be useful for me (first time builder) whether it be a site for comparing items, for deals, or just building in general I'd love for you to share them with me. I'm keen on buying a gtx 780 ti hof and I've looked up the dimensions myself but as I have no prior experience building PCs I can never be sure whether it will fit in a H440. I would be grateful if there any owners of either product who would be able to pitch a word in or anyone who an help clarify this. After months of looking at reviews and weighing up my needs and wants I've arrived at this as a potential build: CPU: 4930k Mobo: x79 deluxe (subject to change) - I don't think I'll ever go for more than 2-way SLI but I would like to easily overclock the CPU GPU: GTX 780ti HOF Case: NZXT H440 Cooler: x60 Kraken RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer (2x8GB) 1600Mhz CL9 PSU: Seasonic X-1050 Gold Storage: Samsung 840 Pro 512GB, Western Digital Red 3TB. Monitor: Asus PB278Q

Hi all, so i have a small problem and i have no idea whether its my CPU / GPU or OS. Overview: When i am playing Warface (Crytek, F2P) after an hour or smth my PC just freezes... I can hear everything what people are saying over TS, but the PC is not responding. Black screen and that is it. I have tried old drivers, current and beta... all the same. Reinstalled the game didn't help also... The only thing i can do (and didn't check) is installing windows 7... but i would like yo avoid that Any ideas what is going on? BTW temps are ok, CPU while gaming is 40-50C, GPU not more than 65C. Regards Arthur

Just to clarify, I WILL be getting two GPU's anyway, so it's just a matter of which two. (Don't try and suggest a single 780 Ti) So, for my first question budget isn't a concern, and I'll also be water cooling these cards too. I was wondering which set-up would be the better performer between the 290X and 780 Ti. when gaming with the LG 34UM95 or a similar 3440x1440 monitor? From what I've heard at >1440p, an R9 290X is the faster GPU. Okay, with the second question, budget is a concern. I have approximately £800 right now, and am able to get two R9 290X lightning GPU's for exactly £800. Would a GTX 780 6GB SLI set up be an equally compelling option? Or should I wait for more funds to buy two GTX 780 Ti reference cards for £1000. Also, having come from an AMD HD 7950, I wasn't that impressed with the drivers. Do you think going with an Nvidia solution with (historically) "better" drivers, is worth any performance delta that may exist between the R9 290X and 780? I would be over-clocking this set-up under water, so if you could, factor how well the card over-clocks. Also let me know if you feel this would be better answered with a poll. I would still like your input in the form of a reply rather than a vote though.

Hello, I am going to be buying a GTX 780 TI card for my new PC however I am stumped at which model to get. I was originally going to go for a Windforce 3x oc however I have read that there has been many problems during gaming and just the over all card causing people's PCs to completely shut down/restart. My PC will be mainly gaming and I am going for single card GPU for now (hence the GTX 780 TI) I am going to be using a Maximus VI hero with a i7 4770k with a corsiar self contained water cooler(H100i). The actually tower will be cooled by 2 or 3 fans rather than water cooling. using a Corsair 750D ATX Full Tower Case. So I was wondering which Version would be best for this build and why. Thank you for your time.

NCIX: n/a Amazon: n/a EVGA: http://www.evga.com/articles/00813/#Kingpin edit: added BT Sync secret for the voltage changer application. You can get BT Sync here: http://getsync.com/ Secret: BFC2XTYOWZHGRG7C6CZ6EKFYCTAKIT6PX So we don't know much about how to GET a K|ngp|n card other than that EVGA will have some kind of exclusive "build to order" program for it. In the meantime, stay tuned because if you've got the coin to spare... you're going to want one of these bad boys. By far the boss-est GTX 780 Ti we've ever used.

Salutations fellow constituents!!!!!!!!!! I am building a gaming Pc and I'm looking for some information on the the Galaxy 780Ti Hof and Korean monitors, Firstly the Hof cooler with the dual copper aluminium design or whatever does it do a good job of cooling the card? I'm not too troubled by sound levels, but more about performance, I understand that this is one of the fastest factory overclocked cards you can buy does that mean that there is not much room to overclock yourself? I hear that the uber mode ramps the speed upto 1100 something Mhz. And to the Korean Monitors, I'd like to get my hands on one of the 1440p overclockable monitors, but as there are many korean sellers I am not sure who to go with, could any of you recomend a few seller that you've had good experiences with? also the pixel perfect edition says that there may be a little backlight bleed, are there any ways to reduce backlight bleed or are there any methods that can be used to reduce it should I receive a monitor with such a issue. Finally which of the Korean brands should I go for? so far I have read good things about the Yamakasi Catleap, the Qnix 2720 evo ii and the X-star Dp2710 ( I know most of them use the same panels, with exception to the panel type) please note that I do live in australia, and that some pricing information may be quite different ( cause everything is crazy expensive over here) Thank you for taking the time to read this post!!!

When I first started pc gaming I decided to buy an alienware like many others. Since i've gotten a more interested in this stuff since then I decided to build one for myself. The computer I bought at first came with a GTX 690, I know its a very expensive card but I'm not actually sure how good it is anymore. So I have a few questions. 1. If I was upgrading to a 780 Ti would it be worth it or should I just stick with a 690? 2. Why is it that the 690 is never included in builds (here or on reddit)? 3. If I was to sell a 690 how much would I be looking at getting for it if it was in good condition?

Yo forms, kinda new to this monitor/PC game so take it easy on me! But, is it possible that my Gtx 780 ti will beable to handle 2 Asus VG248QE 144hz 1080p monitors ? Don't get me wrong I loove my PB278Q, but it gets soo annoying hitting alt+tab 24/7 in game just to look at who calling me in skype etc.. I am planning on using one for gaming, then the other one for checking steams/googling/checking skype in game. And if it is possible, how do i hook it up ?

I have played a lot of games, but I have noticed in that period that the harddrive is a bottleneck (Windows 7 score was GPU 7.5 | CPU 7.9 | RAM 7.5 | HDD 5.9). It was quiet fast the first few years, but than it became slower on reacting and such. Gaming was still good, no lag at all, yet I found that it was more heating up the room than that it was in the old days. I have dust off every fan in the entire case (including GPU fan and CPU fan) almost every 2 to 4 months. Currently a handful games are like a problem for this computer build (Bioshock Infinite on High settings, Wolfenstein The New Order is unplayable, Watch Dogs DEDSEC Edition is unplayable) Furthermore we are 2014 and I want to game on a 1920x1080 monitor. When I connect a 1920x1080 monitor, my GPU is having a very hard times when I play games, it's getting also hot. I have attached several USB fans to reduce the heat a little, but this feels like stupid to me. Therefor, I would like to upgrade to a newer system to be able to game the games I like. I have the following system in mind : Motherboard : ASUS Rampage IV Black edition or ASUS P9X79 CPU : Intel Core i7 4930X CPU Cooler : Noctua NH-U14S GPU : NVIDIA GTX 780 Ti SSD : Samsung SSD 850 PRO 256GB (Windows 7 boot + program files, program files (x86)) SSD : Samsung SSD 850 PRO 256GB (Steam Games) RAM : 16GB Kingston HyperX @ 1600Mhz or Corsair Dominator Platinum @1600Mhz HDD : 2TB WD Black 7200RPM (C-Drive 1TB + D-Drive 1TB) HDD : 4 TB Seagate 7200 RPM (backup van External Hard Drives) OS : Windows 7 64-bit Case : no idea what to choose PSU : Corsair RM850Watt Do you guys have suggestions on what to change in this new system? Recommendations? Do you guys see upcoming botlenecks that I didn't pay attention to? EDIT : I'm from Belgium (as seen under my Forum picture) and we use and pay in € alias Euro's. Yet because I'm on an American website, I'm gonna use $ alias dollars to make it easier. My budget : 1500$ ~ 2000$ (1200 ~ 1500€) Also I'm not going to use watercooling in any way possible. Just good old fans. Next, because I have used AMD computers before and I see that Intel cpu's have hyperthreading, I'm going for an Intel based build (Intel & nVidia) for more performance and stability and less noise and heat.

Will the MSI GTX 780 TI GAMING fit in the Corsair Obsidian 250D? I know the reference card does fit but I not sure if the extra height from the face plate/heat pipes will fit.

NCIX: http://bit.ly/Mky86G Amazon: http://georiot.co/2q0H The GTX 780 Ti GHz Edition is a Gigabyte card featuring their Windforce cooler that is clocked significantly higher out of the box than their regular GTX 780 Ti... But does that translate into better overclocking? Let's find out!

Hi. I'm planning on getting the GTX 780 Ti. But I can't make a decision on which brand should I take. Planning on watercooling it so I guess heat is not an issue for me to choose the reference card. I love EVGA but they don't sell it in my country (Malaysia) The choices are; 1. Zotac GTX 780 Ti(reference) - RM2300 ($695.28) 2. ASUS GTX 780 Ti(reference) - RM2600 ($785.97) 3. Gigabyte GTX 780 Ti OC - RM2500 ($755.74) 4. Palit GTX 780 Ti (reference) - RM2400 ($725.51) ASUS my preferable but Zotac is the cheapest. And both running the reference cooler as well. May I know what's your opinion and which one should I get? Thank you.
