After the lightning and the Duke, Msi showed at the Tokio game show a gpu that dwarfs the lighting in size. The msi lighting comes with 2 100mm fans and 1 90mm fans, but this looks like it has 2 120mm fans and 1 100mm fan, as the lightning is already a 140mmx320mm card, I do suppose that this card span in the 160x360-380mm dimensions. JUST LOOK AT IT, its a monstruosity, and it was what i was asking for, i'm interested in the temperature it reaches under full load, considering that the lightning is already in the 65° range https://videocardz.com/72764/msi-announces-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-gaming-x-trio

So i do a heavy amount of photo editing and gaming as well as multi tasking. I have never made or owned a pc before. I am used to working with macs mainly but have decided on making my own computer vs buying a pre built. I need to decide on the monitors for this build. Also if you see anything in this build you would change let me know. My price range for the monitors caps at 1300 usd. I however am not interested in an ultra wide i prefer separate monitors (i know that's weird my friends tell me im crazy all the time. Here is the link to the rig i want to assemble https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vQFX6X (bonus question) What color cable sleeving do i go for?

I am preparing to build a system, and I don't want to pass anything up, however I do have a strict budget, that takes into account the prices of the 8700k and z370 mobo. I don't care that the case is garbage, because it won't affect anything. I want everyone that sees this to comment on if they think there are any glaring flaws in this build. The power supply and graphics card are from https://www.evga.com/products/productlist.aspx?type=8. I cannot afford an ssd right now, but I will add one in the near future, and this build will be for VR gaming, specifically Project Cars 2. Please don't say "Ryzen", or "not 1080ti". Pcpartpicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Otterman366/saved/q8sqsY Edit: you can make the 650w evga a corsair cxm 550

Im looking to build a pc for a budget of £1200+/- £200 and have no experience building pcs before. All i know it must include a gtx1080ti and a good cpu(i7 6600 or better) to avoid bottle necks 8gb ram minimum as I can upgrade the ram later when i save up for more money and a motherboard that can (not a requiremnt though) support multiple pcie slots because i already have a 750ti and would like to be using it to render visualisations in one card while the 1080ti renders more high quality images. Please help me as i will be using it for rendering and gaming.

Hello, my friend is buying his first pc and Im helping to get him some parts and am selling my gtx 970 to him. Now I need a new gpu and Ive always wanted to get the top of the line gpu, just to see how it feels to have every game maxed out ( you know PC master race and stuff) and selling that 970 would mean a new gpu would cost 200eur less. So now should I get the GTX 1080 for around 540 eur or I get the GTX 1080 for 750 eur? I do some gaming but most of the time I leave my PC Folding and has been since the summer break ended and before it started. Ive been getting 300k ppd with the gtx 970 and having over a mill with the 1080ti would be nice, but I dont know if its worth 200 eur more...

Hey guys, I'm kinda stuck. I was going to be buying the new Vega 64, but now that it's out I find its performance quite lack luster. I'm a little bit uncertain seeing as the performance of the card could improve with drivers, but knowing how much/little it can improve by is difficult. With all that in mind which graphics card would you recommend? Which card would give me the most future proofing?

I have a system with a pair of AMD RX 480 8GB cards (produced by AMD). I do not have any of the original packaging, except the anti-static bags for the cards. I have only had them for about a month (got them for free), have never overclocked them, only used them a tiny bit, and never mined with them. I'm thinking of selling them on ebay or something to cash in on the obscene graphics card oddities at the moment. Should I try to sell them? Would I be able to get the $700-ish to get a 1080 TI, or a good 1080? I can wait until late August for the market to do it's thing and for stuff to get back to normal prices. Also, will used 1080 TIs be available by then, and would buying a used 1080 TI be a good idea?

this was my original pc build list of components i7 4790k running at 4.8ghz 2 x asus r9 290x (small overclock) 16gb ram asus rog vii motherboard custom watercooling with 3 ocool radiators cpu is cooled by a 480mm x 60mm and the gpu with a 280 x 80mm 120gb ssd 2 x 2tb wd black hard drives phanteks primoo case originally i asked for advice on how to clean it up as it was messy i decided to change the case to a thermal take p5 i also went from 2 r9 290x's to a single gtx 1080ti i didn't put the gpu in the loop as i liked the look of the cooler and wasn't going to overclock it, i was also happy with the temps and the noise however, after installing it, i realised it looks a little out of place so i have ordered the cooler and will put it in next weekend any feedback / criticism is invited thanks

I really need to upgrade my system, it's just to old. This is the build I've come up with but I'm not sure if all of these are the best options. I would prefer to have 2x 16GB sticks of RAM but G.Skill apparently doesn't make their Trident Z RGB in anything bigger than 8GB dimms? O_oHere's my main questions though about the build. - Is the Hybrid drive necessary or should it be changed to a 4TB HDD with Intel Optane. - If HDD and Optane are the choice will there be any problems using the Optane thingy with an m.2 ssd? - Is my m.2 SSD the best choice for an NVME SSD option? - Does G.Skill not make their Trident Z RGB RAM in anything bigger than 8GB DIMMs? - Are the any benefits from upgrading from a EVGA G2 to a G3 PSU? I currently own a G2 750 from them that I thought about taking out of my current system then just buying a cheap bronze unit for my current system to keep it alive. - Also, I'm thinking about upgrading to a custom loop eventually (like one part at a time) is this case big enough to house a 240 and 360 rad along with the res/pump or would upgrading to the Corsair 570x be worth it for when I choose to do this? I'm planning to upgrade my system and get a gtx 1080ti, then I'll watercool both the gpu and my i7 4930k. I'm planning to overclock both gpu and cpu, but will my 750 watt psu be able to handle the load? Also, is there a gtx 1080ti that's better fit for custom watercooling? Should I aim for 2x 8pin connectors?

Hello! So I had the possibility to get my current monitor not only cheap but also for my birthday. As it is a 144hz 1440p monitor, a powerful GPU is requiered. I own a R9 390 and it does the job in most games at very playable framerates. But my GPU is from AMD and the monitor has G-Sync. In addition to that, my 144hz capable monitor isn't used to its full potential. So I was wondering, now that I saved up about 900€, which GPU from Nvidia i should buy to upgrade my system. At first I was thinking of a GTX 1080, but as the GTX 1080ti launched and as I saw that it gave much better and more consitant performance of 2560x1440 at 144hz. So I`d like to ask for your guys' opinion wether I should buy a gtx 1080 or ti and which. Rest of my system can be found on my profile.

Hello so it's time to upgrade my GTX 770 to GTX 1080 TI FTW3 and i want to also upgrade my decent 1080 60hz monitor, I feel like wasting the gtx 1080ti if i don't upgrade with higher resolution, so whats your suggestion hit me up, Prefer 27 - 34 inch monitor 1440 or higher and higher refresh rates.so i can feel the gaming experience if that what you called lol..

need a new gpu. im remaking my build entirely over time and a new gpu i think is a good starting point. i have it down to 3 options. Founders gtx 1080 ti + EK FLUID GAMING kit. Asus Poseidon with a 360MM regular EK kit in a box. OR air Zotac AMP EXTREME 1080 ti. i may be wishing to SLI so any advice on my options will be nice If i go air i may keep my nh d15 or change to a NZXT aio etc for cpu cooling. Sauce: http://www.sweclockers.com/nyhet/24167-amd-radeon-vega-ryktas-fa-prislapp-i-linje-med-geforce-gtx-1080-ti With RX Vega right around the corner, Sweclockers.com reports that the top end card is going to be quite pricy: Translation: Sources to SweClockers have informed us of prices at around €900 to €1000 with tax, something that has also been confirmed by Swedish sources. This would mean a price of about 9000 Swedish Crowns for the top end card - in line with the top of the line GTX 1080TI models. Translation: Theis information derives from the distibuters, who in turn got their prices from AMD and the boardpartners. This dosent mean the prices are accurate with the launch prices however. NVIDIA often give out inflated price tags for first numbers, as to not reveal the final priceing. I find this to be quite an interesting turn, not compleatly unexpeced seeing as the top end card is expeced to have an AIO cooler but definatly not a good value card if this is the actiual pricetag. i just hope that the air cooled versions will be cheaper and that waterblocks will come soon so i could consider Vega for my current PC. I looked around but didnt find anyone else reporting on this, please tell me if its a retoast. wouldent be the first time

Hello guys so funny thing happening, I just bought a nice new Zotac AMP! Edition 1080ti, noticed during stress testing at 120% power I have my LED lamps flickering in my office LOL. I'm thinking this is normal because of the power draw my system is having. I undervolted my Ryzen CPU to 1.062 volts and that seemed to help a little. So I guess my question is a Corsair TW650 not enough to run my system? Power Supply Calculator says i'm within range. This could also just be the LED lamps being sensitive to the amount of current they themselves draw, not sure. House is new, moving to another plug does not help the issue. Problem also does not happen at 100% power settings for the 1080ti. It just sucks if it is my PSU, I quite enjoy overclocking my Ryzen CPU to 3.9GHz at 1.33v but will now thermal throttle because of the heat the 1080 produces so i'll have to upgrade the cooler on the CPU. Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen R5 1600 CPU @ 3200Mhz, 1.0625 vcore w/Stock Cooler RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) Kingston HyperX Fury 2400 Mhz w/OC to 3200Mhz at 1.4v (timings 16-16-16-16-36) stable HDD: Toshiba 1TB 7200RPM SATA Drive SSD: Samsung 960 EVO NVMe PCI-E SSD 250GB Mobo: ASRock AB350M Pro 4 M-ATX Motherboard w/AGESA 1.0.0.6a Monitor: Samsung 24'' 144hz Curved gaming monitor (1080p) Case: NZXT S340 w/ 2 140mm intake fans (dust cover removed) and 2 120mm exhaust. Both sets of fans are corsair white RGB fans. Below are images of temps and power draw during simultaneous Prime95 and Furmark tests running.

Just upgraded to a 1080ti founders addition and discoverd that they removed the DVI Dual-D and you get a adapter. The adapter is DVI Dual-D to display port . Im lost now as my monitors do not have display ports and this adapter does not seem to be able to use 144Hz. I have re installed all drivers, re installed windows tried every hdmi cable in the house, i have also purchased a display port to hdmi cable DMI-Male-Plug-Display-Monitor-TV-Cable This is HDMI V1.3b compliant so should work right ? No matter what i do i can not get in nvidia controll pannel to get to 144Hz its just locked at 60hZ. I have blown my budget on the card and will be saving for 4k Monitors in the future so that is not a option right now. If anyone can help me i would be most appreceated thanks

I'm in the planning stages of a new build, and I'm not sure which 1080ti to buy. I'm looking at the MSI seahawk x, which is water cooled, and an evga open air cooled model. The price is slightly higher for the water-cooled card (obviously) around $50 US more. My question is, is it worth it?

Hello. I just a new pc, with these specs I "only" get 200-300 fps, no matter the settings in game. I'm not using any launch options. Reason I'm making this thread is that I think the pc should be performing better than it is on csgo. Hopefully somebody can help me. (Sorry if I posted this in wrong section or it's not allowed on this site)

So I picked up a 1080TI Aorus Extreme a week ago. Finally had the weekend come around to start playing games. Then I've noticed it just crashes on every game around 20-30 minutes of playing. I'm using the Aorus software on the "OC Mode" I installed the latest driver from NVIDIA checked the plugs and it's all fine...... What could be wrong???? The temps are good around 70c max while gaming good clock speeds too 1900mhz.... Any ideas? Heres my specs for some additional info.
