So, I've been having this problem with GTA V, where my frame rates are relatively bad (40-60fps unstable + FPS tanking) for the hardware I am using (system specs below). While adjusting settings and what have you to try and improve frame rates, I noticed that my GPU Usage was hovering on average around 50% and no where near 100% while CPU remains below 40%, quick google search around and I could not find much of anything to help alleviate the problem. I have fully uninstalled drivers and reinstalled them (Crimson 18.5.1), default overclock provided by the motherboard to 3.5GHz on CPU. This initially fixed the issue for a few minutes where the GPU was at 95% usage before dropping back down to 50% after about 10 minutes (stable 90+FPS). Using AMD wattman, my GPU never went above 72°c. And the CPU using CPUID CPU Z never went above 76°C. I honestly don't know what the issue is, and it really bothers me in this game especially that the FPS is extremely unstable and all over the place. I'm up for various solutions to solve this problem. Current game settings are also listed at the bottom. If any other information is needed to help solve my issue, Ill gladly provide it. Hi! I've come across this problem for the second time (two different laptops, two different games: GTA V / Fortnite). When I launch the game, if I use the dedicated graphics processor, the game thinks that the available graphics memory is whatever the integrated video memory is and vice versa. So in the first case I was running GTA V on a Dell i5 laptop with Nvidia 820m 2gb gpu. If I ran the game with the dedicated gpu, in the graphics settings, –I dont fully remember what it said but– it showed the video memory to be much less than 2gb. However, if I ran it with the integrated graphics card it thought that the video memory size was 2gb. In the second case I'm trying to run Fortnite on a Dell xps 15z (2011) i7 laptop with Nvidia 525m gpu and If I run Fortnite with the dedicated gpu, it doesn't even start, it just says there's not nough video memory. (The integrated video memory is 32mb, the dedicated video memory is 2gb, and the game runs fine on a surface pro 3 i7-4650U with intel hd 5000 graphics with 128mb video memory according to windows). If I force it to use the eintegrated graphics it starts, but it's unplayable and often crashes. Everything is up to date, running win 10 x64. My goal would be to play Fortnite with the dedicated gpu, I don't care how, I would be happy with any solution that lets me do that. For eg. make the pc think it has 2gb integrated video memory, or launch the game with integrated graphics then switch over to dedicated. If it's a stupid idea, and it works it's not a stupid idea

I'm sorry to bother you guys on here but I have a bit of a problem with either my system or my graphics card. When ever I go on the the home screen on GTA V it runs @ 40 fps and I thought it's was my graphics settings are to high for my system so I lower them and the fps stays at 40 so I thought oh well it must be normal so I ran a benchmark to see if it would change an it still stays 40 and I don't have v-sync on I already check that. System: MSI: 970A CARBON GAMING PRO MOBO AMD 8350FX WITH MASTER COOLER 212 heatsink with a OC of 4.3ghz with turbo up to 4.6ghz 8gb DDR3 HyperX Fury 1600mhz Gigabyte RX 460 Windforce OC 4gb with an overclock of 1285mhz core/1885mhz memory When I am running the bench mark the GPU stays @ 0% load sometimes going to 100% for a couple of seconds and CPU stays around 45% load with temps for both being 55°c for GPU and 36°c for CPU when I run heaven bench mark with high settings no tessellation and no fxaa so I think there's something going on. So can you please help me on this it's way to confusing I should be getting at lest 60 or more fps with this set up.

Hello, I have the Thrustmaster Ferrari Racing Wheel Red Legend Edition. The wheel does not have a custom interface or anything so I need a third party program to set up my wheel for gta v. I had a program once but I cannot remember the name of it and can no longer find the youtube video for it. Does anybody know a program that would work? Thanks, Dylan

Is this build good enough for 4K gaming? I’ve been planning on getting a 4K monitor but I don’t know if i can run it. I’ve tried using geforce experience to run 4k and they run fine, but I’m a little worried because I’m getting 90-100fps on the GTA V benchmark with 3840x2160 running at high to very high settings and I don’t know if the benchmark is showing my fps on 1080p.(MSAA off, FXAA off, Long shadows on, extended distance scaling off. I’m using about 2907MB/8191MB of video memory) i5-8400 GTX 1070 8GB DDR4 @ 2666 470w PSU 1TB 7200rpm HDD

I play GTA V and have v sync enabled. I usually have 60 FPS in High/ V. High settings. but some times i have Fps drops (50-58) for few seconds and then go back to 60 FPS. Its get worse when i walk in grassy area, FPS drops to (42-50). I tried to over clock my GPU (memory clock +50 mhz and GPU clock +95 mhz) but the problem with Sudden FPS drops remain. My question is, should i keep my current over clocking configuration? I have no idea how much to over clock.. i am pretty much noob in this.

Heyy Guys, There already are multiple topics about some games crashing with AMD DirectX drivers, either in Crossfire or in Single-Mode, especially in the R9-Card-Range. First my specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K at 4.1 GHz GPU: Sapphire R9 Fury Tri-X (4GB) STORAGE: 2 x SSD, one Samsung Evo 256 GB (new), the other OCZ Vertex 512 GB (old). RAM: 4x4 GB Corsair "DOMINATOR DDR4" MB: ASUS Z170-DELUXE PSU: Cooler Master V650 CPU-COOLER: Cooler Master MasterLiquid 120 My temps are totally chilly, and I have got 5 case fans. My CPU is not very overclocked and runs stable all the time. The TDP of the Fury is not much more than approx. 200 W . The problem is the following: I start GTA V. Everything is perfect. Loading story mode. It jumps to Franklin, and I play around for 2, 3 or even up to 10 Minutes. Suddenly, the screen freezes for 2 secs and the all-mighty Windows UAC screams "Grand Theft Auto V has stopped working" It is just crap. The event viewer just shows: And sometimes (the name of the thread is because of that): And here is what I tried to do: Reinstalled graphics drivers (crimson) Updated ~ Reinstalled Windows Installed original graphics drivers from Sapphire (2015 lol #CATALYST) Tried 8199235782 fixes that were available on the internet. I AM SO SORRY TO BOTHER YOU WITH THIS BUT GTA V IS MY SECOND FAVORITE GAME. And I am sorry to bother you with this shit, but be sure, I wouldn't be here if I didn't try out all the fixes out there. Would you please, please help me? EDIT: The game is a legal copy of GTA V, it is the Social Club release.

Vega 8/11 uses system ram as vram for demaning games like gta V witcher 3 etc...now for gta v with 8 gb ram ..vega apu can sustain 35-70 FPS even after HDD memory is swapped despiteHDD is slow and gta V should have shuttered ......but it is not while HD 610 being weaker doesn't stutter until ram gets full and starts the HDD space swap for memory....question is why vega apu despite powerful but still has to look for memory from HDD once full doesn't stutter Some said HD graphics has low memory bandwidth causing the stutter...but how low bandwidth causing the ram getting full..as it is the only reason i am seeing gta V shuttering on HD 610..heavily,....

Hey all, For some reason, over the past two week I've been getting this "Saving Failed" message saving that I'm unable to connect to Rockstar servers. I'm logging in just fine and character progression is maintained; however, I'm unable to find buyers for the vehicle export missions. Coincidentally, this happened literally the day after I finally managed to buy a vehicle warehouse, so I've been unable to make money from this, even though I can source vehicles just fine and my collection is retaind every time I log in. I've tried reinstalling the game, logging into to social club again, changing the NAT settings on my router -- pretty much everything shy of reinstalling Windows! Has anyone else encountered an issue like this? Is there anything I can do on my end to fix this, or do I just need to wait for Rockstar to get their shit together? Interestingly, when I play in a party, I'm the only one with this issue.

I've been having a lot of troubles with my hardware on many games when it should perform pretty good My specs are Intel Core I7 4500U 8 GB DDR3 GT 740M 2GB It first started with Battlefield 3, watching gameplays with the same specs as me while getting lots of fps with medium-high settings, while i barely get a maximum of 30fps with the lowest settings Then recently i started playing GTA V, and i'm also having bad fps when it shouldn't, gameplays of people getting up to 50 fps on medium settings while i barely get again a maximum of 30pfs with the lowest ones.. I've also experienced bad fps on Arma III with the lowest settings as well First, on reddit some said it could be throttling, and the GPU couldn't be running at its highest MHz, i used MSI Afterburner and they were right, it was running at a maximum of 265MHz, then i proceded to reinstall the drivers from the Device Manager, that worked, and i'm now getting a maximum of 1058MHz but still getting the same FPS.. (i'm currently at Trevor's house and the FPS are between 20-25) *When i look at the sky on those games fps increase dramatically *Games are running with the GT 740M *GPU usage is 100% and clock is 1058MHz *GPU temperature is in between 60ºC to 70ºC

Hello everybody, So I uninstalled gta v from my ps4 since it ran very poorly and I tried to install the game again, but it got stuck at 0% or 50% when trying to reinstall, i analyzed the dissc and i obsered that the edge had a wierd grey blotch inside (i attached a picture) which i didnt pay attenton to before because my game worked fine with it (i later found out that the disc is just a key for the console to start the game). Btw its a bluray. anybody with a similar issue? How did you fix it or can it be fixed?

This glitch happens only when I open gta v, when in game, after about 30 secs it glitches as seen below, same happens on windows too, I've updated my drivers but still, any tips? Only changes I did to my computer was the switch from Win 10 Pro to Win 7 Ult and added 2 extra gigs of ram. Also every so often the screen freezes and Graphics drivers get recovered. Hi, for a couple of weeks ago my PC performed as well as it should, but out of nowhere my pc can barely handle GTA V with med-ultra settings and a couple different games. I've checked my gpu with another rig and it performed fine. In benchmarks as Firestrike and Unigine my rig perform fine but in games like WW2, GTA V, DOOM, Borderlands 2/ TPS My gpu usage as almost never at 90-99% If you compare my performance with another pc's performance with the same specs i get a 10-30 fps difference. Temps almost never exceed 60 Celsius. My friend has the exact same specs and he gets around 100 fps avg with the same settings and area.
