Hi guys I just installed the new rockstar launcher a few days ago because apparently you have to. Now it says I have to install GTA 5 eventhough I already have it installed on my PC. Do I really have to delete it and wait like 4 days for it to download 85GB again? Or can I direct the launcher to my install folder somehow? Thanks for your help

(Sorry if i posted this under the wrong category) Hi guys. So after i got my pc i havent really been impressed by the performance in GTA 5. I have an i7 8700k and a GTX 1080, but somehow i still only get around 90 FPS, where according to other benchmarks, i should get a lot more. My drivers are up to date, and I have tried almost every combination of graphics settings. Any ideas?

I recently upgraded my pc with Ryzen 5 2600 and GTX 1060 I tried to benchmark GTA5. First, I maxed out all settings in 2560X1080 resolution, Got 30fps average but at the final part of the benchmark it started stuttering and texture and shadows load slower. Then I lowered few settings. This time got 70fps on average but it started to stutter more and texture loading more slower. It seems more the fps, more the stutter and less time for loading the texture. How can I fix this?

Yesterday i noticed that my GTA V is kinda funny on my cpu and gpu. I screenshotted the task manager performance windows. It seems like my gpu isnt even running when i'm in fullscreenmode. Is gta with my settings just not using my gpu, or is my system using the intel graphics? Is it just a funny win10 Update? (When i screenshotted those taskmanager windows i only had firefox running with the ltt-forum open.) Gta is running on a 2tb Hard Drive(Seagate ST2000DM006) Specs: PSU: FORTRON FSP PSU HEXA500+ Motherboard:Gigabyte GA-B150M-DS3H CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K (with stock intel cooler) RAM: 2*8gb DDR4 Storage: 2*HDD, 1*SDD (all SATA) Optical drive: Blu-ray RW SATA LG BH16NS55 graphic card: inno3D GTX1060 6Gb with one fan Monitor one(gaming): BenQ XL2420T at 120 Hz Monitor two (secondary): Dell U2414H Thanks!

Hey guys, so I got a new laptop, which an ASUS ROG Strix GL503GE, and I also have a custom built PC. I wanna try some games on my new laptop, so I downloaded some sames, including GTA V. On my PC, it works, just works. I can play story and online no problem, but in my laptop, I can't. On the social club overlay, it says "Detection failed. UDP may be blocked," on the "NAT Type," while my PC has strict or sometimes oderate. On the public and private IP, it says both IPs, but the ports as 0. I tried port forwarding, reinstall, etc, and it still won't work. How can I fix this?

I need a pc for gta 5 and streaming. (120 ish FPS and up. Budget is around £800-£900 hit me with some specs. Thank you.

So I have a GTX 1080 Ti, Ryzen 7 3700x and 3200MHz RAM, I get stable 130-140 FPS in story mode, but only about 70 FPS (drops under 60 FPS pretty often) in online. And I even had to lower a bunch of settings down. I get about 20-30% GPU usage while playing, and CPU usage never goes above 45% either. The game is set to High priority in task manager. I have a 144Hz monitor so I would like more FPS to use it correctly, but more importantly I would like more FPS just because of how much money I spent on this PC and every other game runs perfectly, except for GTAO. I tried using the recommended GeForce Experience settings, but that was even worse. Using those settings I was lucky if I got 60 FPS in an invite only session. Thanks for any help. https://imgur.com/a/GylTJxC

But when I try GTA V, sometimes my gpu has a lower usage rate than cpu. In most cases FPS stays the same but sometimes the fps drops to 60-80 range. But I don't understand why my gpu usage are lower than my cpu usage but the temps stays at 80-85c(when I play games my gpu temps always stays at 80c, and idle stays between 35-45c)

2 days ago gta started giving me some freezes. They usually are up to 1 second long and there are no patterns to the time they are apart. 2 days prior the game ran fine without a problem the only thing that changed was that windows finally installed the 2004 update. I tried verifying the game files and it did install some direct X stuff but the freezes stayed. Now I'm reinstalling the game but I doubt it will help since I tried 2 different installs (epic and Rockstar). I'm thinking about uninstalling the latest windows update but I don't know if that is worth it and if it will even work since many ppl don't have any problem with the 2004 update. My specs are: Intel core i7 4770 @~4,1GHz (base clock oc problem persists without oc) Asus GTX 1060 EOG STRIX O6G 32GB CRUCIAL BALLISTIX DDR3 RAM Asus Z97-K R2.0 Game is installed on a hdd, No thermal throttling, Game usually runs at 60fps then freezes and, goes back to 60, Massive drop in cpu usage when freeze appears (from 50-70% to 5-15% usage by the game itself, cpu usage is most the time at 80-90% then drops to ~20%, cpu sometimes hits 100% usage right before the freeze but it happens at 80% usage a couple times so it seems random) Gpu usage is very low at 25% since I lowered the settings and even that usage drops a bit, but sometimes it spices right before the freeze. I attached a screenshot of the task manager (it shows 24gb of ram since I installed the 4th stick today and the pic is from yesterday)

Hello, A couple days ago my GPU was underperforming a lot, which I've fixed now in most games. In GTA 5 i still get pretty low framerates for the hardware that i have. I run a mixture of high and normal settings and I'm getting 60-70 fps, which is not bad but it is low for my hardware. Any help would be appreciated! Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 AF MOBO: Asus Steel Legend B450M GPU: MSI GTX 1660 Armor OC RAM: 2x 8Gb Vengeance LPX (clocked at 3200 mhz) PSU: Corsair VS550 Storage: 128Gb M.2 SSD and 1Tb Hard Drive

Tbh, I haven't been following GTA V since Rockstar blocking mod-debacle. And I haven't played the game for a long time. I don't even know they actually allowed mods on official multiplayer, which is actually surprising to me. BleepingComputer Article GameSpot Article

I'm playing a reloaded version of gta 5, and was having a pretty decent experience, until my fps started going from a steady 30 to 10-20, even if I play with settings on minimum. So I started digging in my graphics settings and doing som research. Then I noticed that the game said it needed about 2gb of vram out of 1gb (which is weird since I am using an amd radeon r5 m430 2gb). In 1080p with everything either off or normal. But the thing is I see people able to get 1080p with vram hungry things like shadows and textures at high while only needing about 1850mb of vram. I am using a Lenovo ideapad 500 15-acz with an amd a10 8700p 4 core cpu at 2.3ghz (60%being used while playing), an amd r5 m430 2gb dedicated gpu with a core clock of 1100mhz and a memory speed of 1000mhz (with the latest 18.8.1 drivers), 8gb of ddr3 memory and a 5400rpm 1tb hdd.

Hey guys, gta 5 offline started lagging as I started to play it. I didn't notice this at all on gta 5 online. Is this even normal for a 2k built pc? I have an i7 8700k and gtx 1070 armor OC. I maxed out all settings on it and I have it running at 144hz. Why is it stuttering on me? I find it unacceptable for such an expensive computer. What do I do?

Hey community, this is my first post on the LTT forums and I hope I am posting this in the right place. I recently just built a new gaming PC after moving from a laptop and the problem is that I am getting really low GPU usage in GTA 5. So far, this is the only game in which I have experienced this. Other games like CS:GO, R6:S, CIV VI, and No Man's Sky all use my GPU like it should. In GTA 5 however, it usually sits around 40%-50% usage on the GPU and 30-60% usage on my CPU. I am getting pretty bad frame stuttering and frame drops on high settings on a 1080p monitor! My Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600x (Stock) CPU Cooler: Cryorig H7 MOBO: Asus ROG STRIX B-350F Gaming RAM: 16GB (2x8) G.Skill Tident Z RGB (2933Mhz) Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 1070ti MINI (OC) Case: Phanteks Eclipse P300 PSU: EVGA 550W B3 Monitor: 1920x1080 60Hz Dell Monitor I have tried all the conventional troubleshooting tips like going into the control panel and turning on "Prefer Maximum Performance," turning on and off vsync, as well as turning up and down the resolution scale and graphical settings. I have tried with both Stock and OC's on my GPU. I am at a loss on how to proceed and have attached some screenshots with the MSI Afterburner overlay to show the GPU usage in relation to my frame rate. If any of you have any suggestions it would be awesome if you could let me know

Hello, I have the Thrustmaster Ferrari Racing Wheel Red Legend Edition. The wheel does not have a custom interface or anything so I need a third party program to set up my wheel for gta v. I had a program once but I cannot remember the name of it and can no longer find the youtube video for it. Does anybody know a program that would work? Thanks, Dylan

Or should i buy a 1060 for 150 dollars more(not exect amount but in my country it's about that much of a price diff and my budget is tiny as is)

Hi, My name is Anshu Raj. So, I've got this PC that has Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU G630 @2.7GHz Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Operating System Has a 250W of power supply My PC has a dual monitor setup with a resolution of 1366x768 each (And I really don't know if this matters). Had 2GB of RAM and no dedicated graphics card initially. I am on a very tight budget or I would have gone for PS3. But Unfortunately, I can't I saved some money for few months and added GeForce GT 710 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 graphics card to my PC, and a 4 GB of DDR3 RAM. When I run GTA 5(with minimum graphics settings) and keep the task manager open on the adjacent screen, I can see that it uses about 2.5 GB of RAM and about 10-15% of CPU. But, GTA 5 lags(It's not fluid). So, do I need to upgrade my graphics card or what? I also know that when upgrading graphics I might also need to upgrade my Power Supply. Can anyone around here recommend me any Graphics with power supply(if needed)? P.S. I am not looking for a monster type of graphics card. It should be just sufficient enough to run GTA 5.(I'm not going after any other game) I would really appreciate your suggestion. Best, Anshu Raj
