Hello, I have encountered an issue that has got me completely stuppemd with my limited PC diagnoistics knolwedge. At my company we have just aquired a new workstation to run Open mind Hypermill. When using Hypermill the on a single screen it runs perfectly fine with no issues. However as soon as you open a new window on the seccond screen it cuases Hypermill to Crash. The Components are as follows, Intel 10900KF Quadro RTX 4000 (Tried swapping to an RTX5000 however the issue is still there) Asus ROG Z-590E EVGA 750W Samsung 670 1 TB Corsair Vengengce 64GB 3600 This would normally be the perfect time to contact hypermill themselves, however we don't pay maitinence anymore as they are normally no help and the updates aren't worth the cost.

Hello! I'm suddenly having black screen issues with the gpu fans going full throttle while gaming. The issue pops up randomly and will stay unless I restart the pc. anyone knows if this can be fixed? PC specs are: Ryzen 7 3800X (stock, not OCd) Gigabyte GTX 1660 Super OC edition RAM is 2x8GB 3200Mhz ASUS Prime B550M-K (updated to the latest bios) Seasonic SSR-500GB3 80+ bronze Windows 10 22H2, installed all windows updates available Nvidia drivers is version 526.98 Temps are: Idle at 54C, peaked at 87C on furmark before crashing Idle at 45C, peaked at 84C on furmark before crashing (after repaste) What I've tried: >reinstalled windows >uninstalled drivers using DDU, clean install on nvidia drivers, uninstalled again using nvidia cleanup tool then clean installed again >took the gpu apart, cleaned it, found out that the original paste has dried up (literally crumbled in my hand) and applied a fresh thermal paste. There was a thermal pad stuck on the heatsink, I left it untouched as I don't have any extras, so I wasn't able to replace them. >tried the 1660 on a different pc, issue persists. tried a different gpu on my pc, no issues Issue only appears during gaming. Playing videos and browsing net are fine. GPU is a little bit more than 2 years, mainly used for gaming, watching videos and regular browsing Games played are: Dota 2, Skyrim, RDR2, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, Genshin, Apex, Valorant, PUBG, Borderlands, AC series EDIT: Just to add, I know this will be impossible but is there a tiniest bit of chance I can RMA or even have it repaired at Gigabyte? I'm from the Philippines, lost the receipt and most likely well over warranty period

Hello, I recently purchased and began playing MWII (2022) and I have noticed that the shadows and reflections in the game are "blocky" and "pixelated". All relevant settings (Anti-Aliasing, shadows, reflections, etc) are set to the highest. I have an NVIDIA Geforce 1080 with the drivers up to date. Anti-aliasing has been set to "application" in NVIDIA settings (although I have tried it controlled through NVIDIA settings). It's also worth a note that I do not have these issues with any other games. The posts I have found on the internet have either been unrelated to my problem entirely or without solutions, and the posts I have made on Reddit have garnered no attention, so I apologize if this is unusual for these forums or the wrong place to post this. I appreciate any help or pointers anyone can give.

Hello, I have a few questions regarding a Lenovo Ideapad 3 laptop; currently there's installed 16 GB of SO-DIMM DDR4 3200 memory, even though it's 8gb soldered to the mainboard + 8gb stick, I can't get it to work in dual channel mode, but in the specs list it's clearly stated that it's dual channel capable. There's no option in the bios, any ideas how to turn it on? As for the graphics, it's an integrated Radeon, currently using 2GB of memory, that's maximum I can set it to in the bios. Is there any way to set it up at least to 4GB ? Thank you

Having an interesting problem. I have a 3080Ti with a Corei9 9900KS CPU on a MSI Z390 Godlike Motherboard running under Windows 11. I have 3 monitors, an ROG XG27UQR (4K 144Hz) set as my main display in lanscape mode, a ROG PG279Q (1440p 144Hz) in portrait mode both connected via DP. My third monitor is an LG TV, the OLED55CXPUA on an HDMI 2.1 cable. What I have been observing is that the Desktop Windows Manager process is using a ton of my GPU, sometimes as much as 100%. I have attached a screenshot of the Task Manager showing the Desktop Windows Manager using 100% of my GPU. HWMonitor doesn't agree that I am using 100% of my GPU and shows a much smaller usage in the attached screenshot. MSI Afterburner also doesn't agree with Task Manager but I do see my GPU running at about 50°C so it's for sure doing something. I have done a clean install of my Nvidia Graphics Drivers and installed any pending Windows Updates. Additionally I have used Winaero Tweaker to turn off or kill almost all the bloat in Windows 11.

Hello. I've been playing Cyberpunk 2077 recently on my new system and I'm beginning to notice some flickering pixels or artifacts. I'm playing on max settings without Ray Tracing on a 6900XT in Linux using the open-source driver that comes through the repository, specifically "firmware-amd-graphics". The pixels themselves don't stay on one place, on another part of the map they follow the camera and then they go away when I move about 10 meters away. The game runs fine, well above 120 fps. I'm just wondering if this is something I should be worrying about whether it's a sign of a failing GPU already (which doesn't seem likely), or if this is just on the game side and it's fine. I've attached a picture (ignore the Cyberpunk-y material on the wall lol) Thanks.

In my mind, it is trying to predict how long rendering the next frame will take, then delays starting the task. I am rather curious as to how RTSS can reduce latency by so much, compared with alternatives like just VSync I would expect that for a scenario with 1% lows of 120FPS+, that enforcing a frame cap of 120FPS would actually have higher latency than Scanline Sync 120Hz. Can anyone with the technical knowledge on this chime in, or perhaps just anyone who is also curious?

I recently upgraded my pc to have a water-cooled loop, all went okay to start with but I'm noticing my GPU just isn't performing very well anymore. I ran time spy and my graphics score has gone down from around 10,000 to 2,863 so something must be wrong somewhere. I did use a riser cable which is only a PCI-E Gen 3 so I'm wondering if that could cause performance issues like this. My Specs: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X Nvidia RTX 3080ti Founders Corsair Vengeance 32GB 3600MHz Any solutions would be greatly appreciated and I'll try to add any information I've missed in this post! Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone! I encountered a problem with my machine running Fedora Workstation 36 (up-to-date) and Microsoft Windows 11 (up-to-date). Hardware GPU: XFX Radeon RX 6600 XT 8GB (model RX-66XT8LBDQ) CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X RAM: DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) 2666MHz MBD: MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC | BIOS: AMI BIOS 7B85v1G (up-to-date) Power Supply: EVGA 650W 80+ GOLD SSDs: Samsung Pro 980 1TB M.2 (Fedora Workstation 36) Sandisk 120GB (Microsoft Windows 11) HDDs: Seagate BarraCuda 1TB Seagate BarraCuda 2TB Screens: Acer Nitro VG270Sbmiipx FreeSync x 2 Problem When I change the "BIOS CSM/UEFI mode" setting in the BIOS (Advanced\Windows OS Configuration), my monitors yell "Input Not Supported" during POST and it stays if I press the DEL button which opens the BIOS configuration. Video output gets restored as soon as the operating system takes over. I can reset the CMOS to get back to a working state but I'd like to enable Secure Boot on my machine. Toggling the dual BIOS switch on the card does not help. UEFI BIOS works on my old graphic card (MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GB) Thank you for your help!

Hey guys, I got an RX 6600. upgraded from gtx 1660, hoping to get a bit more fps in my games. But after installing the card, I immediately noticed stutters. When I checked the gpu usage, I saw it hovering around 70-80% and sometimes dropping below 50 (as low as 0%). I checked a lot of benchmark videos and PCs with slower CPUs have higher fps/scores. I am running an R5 3600 without overclock, but SAM enabled. Some games are using a lot more CPU than they should (also seen from those videos). I used to get stable 60 fps on high settings in most games (rarely dropped to 50s) using the gtx 1660. but now I feel like I downgraded my gpu since I am getting lower fps in the same settings. However, I noticed that I do get normal gpu usage in rare cases and I get normal fps at that time. Often right after booting in to windows. But most of the time, it's bad. I'm going crazy here. I can't find a single solution. The only "fix" is to remove cpu bottleneck, but I don't see why my pc would be a special case specially considering I used to get better performance from a gpu that should be slower. My temps are fine; below 80C. Power usage fluctuates with gpu usage. I tried these: 1. DDU all gpu drivers 2. delete cache 3. Uninstalling afterburners Specs: R5 3600 Rx 6600 16gb 2666mhx DDR4 Windows 11

Hello, I'm from South Africa I have a problem with my Travelmate 8473 which I purchased 3 years ago as a second hand while in varsity. The problem I'm facing is that ever since I updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10, the Nvidia Control Panel doesn't wanna open anymore and when I try to install Nvidia graphics driver it tells me that there's no compatible hardware. I ended up contacting Nvidia about the problem and after a few months of waiting they advised me that the problem lies with Virtualisation technology which they said is not enabled hence I keep getting the message. Since they told me that it can be enabled in Bios I realised that my Bios is locked and I don't know the password as I wasn't the first user. Is there a way I could solve my problem? I just wanna be able to play games again on my laptop I rely on it a lot and installing windows 10 just ruined everything

I recently bought a Radeon radeon rx 6700 xt red devil, and today (after the pc has been running fine for the past two days since upgrading) my PC started restarting itself after a short duration of playing games as well as one game would run correctly (I could hear the menu responding to inputs and the music worked) but had a total black screen. This issue seems to have started after I installed the newest AMD launcher and drivers. Upon removing the launcher, the black screen game worked properly but I couldn't launch the other game that was making my pc restart due to the error “DX11 feature level 10.0 is required to run the engine.” CPU and GPU temps were in the 40s-50s degrees C **UPDATE** same restart happened during a longer play session of GTA V performance was good during gameplay (100+fps) on normal settings fullscreen, 1920x180p Unknown CPU and GPU temps All AMD programs uninstalled during this play **UPDATE** Max settings doom eternal runs fine at 140 fps average (no restart happened during playtest) Windows 10 home 64 bit ASRock B450M/AC System Board (flashed bios to newest version before changing to current CPU 4 days ago (BIOS Version 2.70 2021/5/1310.20MB, latest version) Ryzen 7 5700x 8-core processor G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) WDC_WDS250G1B0C SSD (250GB) boot drive TOSHIBA HDWD1TB storage drive EVGA 850GT (850W gold power supply)

I have been noticing slight color banding in certain places in the UI but especially in the Default dark mode wallpaper. I wanted to ask if this is normal or it's a known issue with windows 11. i made sure all my drivers are all updated to the latest version possible and i've messed around with the built in color calibration tool to no avail. I would include a picture te demonstrate but PNG compression would destroy any evidence of actual banding.

Hi all, I've been trying to diagnose this for a while and I am simply out of my depth. I have an Nvidia ZOTAC 1070 graphics card and whenever I play a game, the animations move out of sync with the audio. The audio and animation start at the same time, but the animation is roughly 10% slower than the audio and results in being completely out of sync in any dialogue/animation sequence longer than 5 seconds. I'm almost certain that the animations are the issue and not the audio. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers several times, I've used a driver cleaner to wipe any trace of old drivers, and I've talked to Nvidia's hotline to no avail. What's even stranger is that sometimes it seems that the animations during actual gameplay are slower, but I have no real way of telling if that is the case. Other than this, there are no glaring graphics issues or artifacts.

Recently when I have started to play game my screen will flicker from; game->black->game. This has only started occurring recently around the start of June. I have a RX 570 12GB I have tried: New cables Updating the drivers to the most recent drivers (I was on drivers updated last in April) Factory resetting the monitor Booting into safe mode Cleaning the PC (I am really stuck) When I open a game (the example in the image is "The Cycle Frontier" and the GPU uses 100% but barely climbs in temp(idles around 40-50 and during games around 60-80 depending on game. Nothing more than that from what I have seen). I have also tested this with full speed fans on the CPU and GPU. The video attached shows what happens.(Apologies for the music in the background). It will last for various times, some last like 1 second some 5. Some the screen just shows some lines rather than fully going black I don't know what is causing the 100% usage on games that before barely use it. I play Team Fight Tactics and Bloons TD 6 and never had any issues until recently. Any new suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nathan IMG_261248873.MOV

Hey there! Weird issue, but I got these staticky lines across my screen. They move around when different things happen on screen, so I assumed it was a vram issue. This is on a laptop, so I replaced the whole motherboard...same problem. Okay, so I tried the monitor cable, the whole monitor, the ram, all the same. I replaced the motherboard again, now it glitches and blue screens during boot, unless I go into safe mode, which seems to work fine. I'm at a loss, I basically built a whole new laptop but the issue still remain. Maybe someone here could shed some light? Laptop is an ASUS GL502VY with a GTX980M

Hello folks! I recently built my own PC and sadly had some issues at the beginning, but happily got help that I needed and my PC kept functioning for days and days until this moment…: After I turn on my PC and start working or playing games, my temps usually remain under 70°C for both GPU and CPU the monitor randomly shuts down and shows “No signal found” though. The fans in the case get loud but it keeps functioning. I still can hear Windows sounds and even spotify playing in the background. I haven’t overclocked it or mined anything, I just use it for gaming and school. I also noticed that the motherboard lightning turns off for a second and on. I assume it is because of the power supply but according to multiple websites, my power supply should be able to have 100W more than it is recommended. My specs are: i9-11900K RTX Rog strix 3060 Samsung 980 1TB G.skill trident Z 32GB (16x2) Asus rog strix Z590-A NZXT Kraken Z73 Corsair CX650M Bronze https://pcpartpicker.com/user/qpellow/saved/#view=kk66Q7 I also get a weird black screen with random coloured lines. I can easily fix the lines though, I just have to turn off my PC and wait for a while, then turn it on and boom! Everything works. By the way, there’s NO issues at all when I use Intels integrated graphics. I also updated my Nvidia drivers and the fans stopped being loud, the monitor still kept shutting down and showing no signal.

I have a card here that is a PowerColor R9 380X. A few years ago, it kind of just died after a driver crash. It works when in safe mode and whenever a driver is not installed, but makes the computer crash once a driver is loaded. I was wondering if there are any known fuses I should check or any solutions that may help. I have already tried to reflow the card, update and change the BIOS, and I tried older drivers. No luck with any of them. Any help is much appreciated, as I would like to get this card working so my cousin can game with me.

Hi, yesterday my PC was just fine. Today it won't recognize my gpu as "a valid VGA card" on a boot and if I skip this notice message, I am welcomed with what you can see on this video [youtube.com]. Also I noticed that the DP port I have been using till now is dead, monitor knows there is something but nothing can be seen - all black and the other DP next to it shows the thing on video (before I had Valve Index plugged there). This doesn't happen when I plug my laptop to my momitor via hdmi, so monitor is probably fine. When I tried different DP cable, same thing happens. If I use the third DP port on my gpu, I don't get any artifacts at all. What is going on? GPU is being detected in windows (task manager can see) Things I tried: DDU drivers (because why not) Disable RAM OC/profile Can I do something about this or is it time for a RMA ? Setup is in attachments (HWINFO dump) MOSSSHINE.HTM
