I've been using a 1080TI for years now and decided to upgrade my entire PC. But can't decide between the two, on the one hand better performance with RTX and on the other raster games. Piss of a software geforce experience with instant replay bugs, but I don't know how that stuff works in amd software. Also, how important is choosing between reference model and others? Thanks!

VID_20230116_125901.mp4 The model is a dell inspiron 5559. Pink and green lines also sometimes appear during startup, and sometimes youtube videos flicker (the lighting subtly becomes darker or lighte, really subtly). Edit: Additional pic These just flash from time to time. I'll try plugging to an external display soon enough, there just isnt any accessible to me yet. Im really leaning more on it being a gpu problem bc the glitches happen more when i have more tabs open, im just clinging on the hope that it might be a fixable hardware issue instead haha. Sucks so bad that I can't afford a new unit yet. Thank you all so much too, I'm really not a tech person, so I appreciate every bit of reply. Thank you.

Yo I wanted to know what GPU I should buy to upgrade my PC and couldn't really find an answer. I am a student so my budget doesn't quite fit in the NVIDIA range, with the good one's being sold out. I use a 165 Hz monitor and an Oculus Rift S (90 Hz for each lens) so my GTX 1660 Super won't cut it. Or if I should wait for the market to calm down, if it ever stops inflating... Thanks in advance! My setup is in the attachments

Hi everyone new to these forms I had recently built my first build with a 12400f and a xfx Merc 319 6750xt but upon researching some reddit forms and seeing some deals on buildapcsales the sapphire pulse 6800 is currently at 509 with 20 dollars coming out to 530 with taxes, my return window closes today with Amazon so I'm not sure what to do. Would it be worth it to return my current GPU and grab the 6800 from sapphire, I play on a 27in 1440p 165hz dell monitor

Hi, I am currently having trouble with my gpu (Gigabyte RTX 2080 Super OC 8GB Rev.2), it's constantly crashing whenever under load with any game (Black screen, audio from games or Discord still playing, loud GPU fan) However, a temporary fix has been placed by lowering the power limit to 50-60% using MSI Afterburner and it can run Heaven Benchmark on Ultra Settings, unfortunately it still crashes sometimes (playing a game while Photoshop is open or playing a VR game is one of the triggers) I asked this question in a forum and they told me it's a VRM problem, unfortunately, my local warrantly just expired 7 months ago Specifications: Ryzen 7 3700x MSI B450M Mortar Max Gigabyte RTX 2080 Super OC 8GB Rev.2 -- Main Problem HyperX Fury 2x8GB 3200mhz CoolerMaster MWE750 Gold

Hi, I recently upgraded my 1660 super to a 4070ti and have been experiencing a very fast black bar flicker on the top 1/4 of my monitor seemingly randomly every 15-60 minutes or so. My monitor is an MSI MAG27QRF (165hz, 1440p) and is the same one I used with my old GPU without any issue. It also seems to only occur while gaming. I have a dual monitor set up, the other monitor is 1080p 75hz but I do not game on it. What I've Tried: using DDU to uninstall old drivers and reinstall the new ones fresh (does not help) Turning off G-sync (does not help) Changing power setting on ncp to max power (does not help) tried a different DP cable - both are 1.4 btw (does not help) Tried the various DP ports on my GPU (does not help) Switching to HDMI which has a max fresh rate of 144hz. This solves the flicker but limits my refresh rate and does not allow me to utilize G-sync Switching refresh rate while using DP to 120hz (the highest I can choose besides 165hz) This solves the flicker as well but obviously limits my fps. I am open to all suggestions otherwise I may need to consider returning the card :( Thanks for your help in advance.

Hello, I hope you are all doing well. For context, I have recently upgraded to a new PC after using a Asus G20(something), and have taken out the parts of that, this being a I7 7700 and a ASUS Turbo 1080, which has a blower style cooler, to use in another build for my partner which I have recently completed. But I was thinking that the cooler on the graphics card was not really ideal for the open high airflow case and I'm wondering if it is possible to change and use other coolers. From my searching AliExpress, I have found coolers for the EVGA 1080 : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002359983480.html and MSI 1080 : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004979571277.html I'm wondering if i could use the coolers on my current card, the heatsinks and their corresponding heatsinks I've found will be attached above and the ASUS TURBO 1080 pcb Below. Thank you for reading and any advise would be lovely and i wouldn't mind sacrificing 60 Australian kangaroo dollarydoos for the good cause of science.

I just saw that my local microcenter had a 6650xt on sale for around $250 dollars, which would be a nice little upgrade from my 1660s. I am cautious however because I'm not sure if I should wait till the lower tier 7000 or 4000 series cards are released, or go ahead and get the upgrade (as I am starting to see gameplay frame drops). my budget will be around the $250 to $300 mark. I have listed my current rig below. let me know what y'all think! Current Rig: Ryzen 5 2600x Gigabyte Aourus B450M 16 GB 3200 CL 16 ram GTX 1660 super 650W 80+ gold power supply 1.5 tb crucial nvme SSD

I'm looking for an upgrade option to my Asus Nvidia RTX 3060 single fan. It would have to be a dual fan card at most because if my case space restrictions. It's an Asus rog strix gt15cf case. Thanks in avoidance for any advice!

I'm looking for some advice. I currently have an Asus nvidia geforce RTX 3060 single fan in my asus rog strix and wanted to change it to an Asus nvidia RTX 3060 V2 OC dual fan. Or what would be an upgrade options that would be around the $450 mark? There is not a lot of room in the case for anything much larger than a dual fan card. Is there any benefit in doing this? I only game on this PC and it's mostly MMORPGs with the occasional skyrim, halo or for honor session. Also would my Asus gold 750w power supply be enough? I have a lot of rgb peripherals and added a water cooler. Or should I upgrade to the Asus 850 platinum? Thanks in advance for any help or advise. Side note. Working on cable management.

Hello! My first post here, so please forgive if I miss anything critical. Also, I've already gone through a LOT, so this post is quite a long one. Parts list is linked at the end. I've been having issues lately with most games crashing to desktop. I've done a lot of troubleshooting, but I want to see if I've missed anything. I'm pretty certain the issue is a bad GPU, however I've already RMA'd the card and gotten it back from the manufacturer (MSI), and the problem is still there. MSI's RMA process did say they "fixed" the card but the reporting from them seemed suspect to me, and comparing the card to photos I took before sending it in shows nothing was touched physically (tamper stickers are untouched and all screws are turned to the exact same angle as prior to the RMA). The problem: Issues with stability when playing games that rely on the 3D engine. The games will crash to desktop, but beyond that the system continues to run fine (no BSoD, no hang-ups requiring a forced restart, no unexpected shut-downs, no overheating, etc). Several of the games will display a general crash report, others won't. There is always an Event Viewer System error thrown that I outline below. Some days I can play for a couple hours with no issues, most times the games will repeatedly crash within minutes of starting up or as soon as I load into the game from the menu. My system is not using any custom over- or underclocking other than the stock XMP profile in the BIOS. replacing my MSI 3080 with an older EVGA 2080 Super seems to fix the issue HOWEVER, during the RMA process I did have two crashes with the 2080 Super that had the same Event Viewer warnings while playing games. I feel pretty certain that the issue is being caused by the GPU, but I want to make certain before I start fighting with MSI Support again. Could this be caused by the PSU being too small? Could it be a bad PCI-e slot? Could Windows be to blame? Games I've had issues with: Spider-Man Remastered (Steam) The Witcher 3 Next-gen Update, DX12 version (Steam) High on Life (Xbox Game Pass) Assassin's Creed: Odyssey (Steam) Assassin's Creed: Valhalla (Steam) Elden Ring (Steam) Forza Horizon 5 (Xbox Game Pass) Cyberpunk (Steam) Games/situations I do not have issues with: Graveyard Keeper (Steam) Dwarf Fortress (Steam Edition) Heroes of Hammerwatch (Steam) Vampire Survivors (Steam) Any kind of general usage outside of games, such as having many MS Edge tabs open, running Photoshop, watching YouTube videos, etc. Error messages observed in Event Viewer: Error - The description of Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found... (thrown every time a game crashes) Warning - The display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered. (less common) Troubleshooting I've attempted since the card has been returned to me by MSI: 3dmark - I've tried running several of the benchmark programs Time Spy - Never successfully loads, throws error "DXGI call IDXGISwapChain::Present failed [0X887A0005]" when transitioning from the loading screen to the test. This happens on both fullscreen and custom windowed. Speed Way - Never successfully loads. Throws error "An error occurred. No result produced." when transitioning from the loading screen to the test. This happens on both fullscreen and custom windowed. Fire Strike Extreme - Has completed several times. It has also failed several times but only on the combined portion of the test. I have sent the reports into the 3Dmark team and they feel that it is a hardware issue. OCCT Prior to the RMA, running the GPU test returns numerous errors within the first minute. Since the RMA I was able to run the test for over an hour twice with no errors found. Running the CPU and Memory tests for prolonged periods of time come back clean (multiple hours used for each test). HCI Memtest I've admittedly not run this for longer than a few hours at a time, but I've maxed out memory usage with no errors reported. Memtest86 I've run the full compliment of tests twice with no issues found. Furmark I've left this one running for a while but have not encountered any artifacting issues. Temperature Monitoring (using HWiNFO64) Temps in the machine are on the high-side of acceptable under prolonged heavy load. The GPU reaches the mid-70's C with very small spikes to around 80 C. CPU stays in the mid-70's as well. Overall system temp stays around 56 C. Ambient room temp is around 20 C. Forced debug mode via the Nvidia Control Panel (Regardless, I don't do any custom over- or underclocking) Used DDU to uninstall and reinstall my graphics drivers Reverted to older compatible graphics drivers Made sure my PC is running in ultimate performance power mode Turned off Windows Hardware Acceleration Updated MoBo BIOS to latest version Swapped the MSI 3080 with an EVGA 2080 Super - this seems to fix the problem, but I did still have two crashes over about 50 hours of playtime while waiting for the 3080 RMA where as the 3080 would crash almost instantly without fail. Additional planned troubleshooting: Clean-installing Win11. The current install is less than a year old, but worth a try. Putting the 3080 into a different system with similar hardware - hopefully I can get this done some time this week, but trying to sync schedules can be rough! My system specs: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cVNkH2 CPU: i7-12700k GPU: MSI Gaming Z Trio RTX 3080 12GB RAM: G.Skill Trident Z 2x16 DDR4 3200 MoBo: MSI MAG Z690 Tomahawk PSU: Super Flower Leadex III Gold 850W

Hello community! For the last 6 months i am in possesion of this card(3060 ti eagle oc) and tbh it has been a fantastic experience in terms of performance. I got the card for the low price of 270 as it was a display model(never plugged in) To get to the point i have quite the experience with pc building but for the last years i was away from the gpu market and their issues because of work. My gpu is running quite hot(the max i have seen is 84-85) in some heavy games like The hunter cotw, rdr2 etc.. My idle temps are quite ok at 35-41 but the max temps as i said are close to 85.Also i saw that the fan curve is pretty pretty bad as it is just goes to 95% instantly from no rpm at 47 degrees. I should mention here that the only setting i have on the card on afterburner is the temp limit and power limit to 90 and 110% accordingly Is this normal or should i be worried? Here are my specs in case they are needed: OS : Windows 11, 64 bit CPU : Ryzen 7 5800x3D RAM : 32GB (at 3200mhz) 4x8 Graphics Card : Gigabyte RTX 3060ti Eagle OC Case: Corsair Carbide 400c full with fans Cooler: NZXT Kraken X53 Storage:2x M.2 , 3x SATA 3 SSD and 2x 7200RPM HDD Thanks for your time!

Hello yall, I was just messing around in MSI Afterburner trying to find optimal overclocking settings for my GTX 1650 and I ran a stress test plus a benchmark and it says that out of 4GB it was only using 2GB. I know there was a post about this but it was mentioning games. I don't understand, isn't MSI Kombustor supposed to max out your card when running tests? Even when overclocked the benchmark finished with 21 FPS instead of 20 and maybe 50 more points. Is Windows using up half my Vram or what's the deal? My CPU is i5 10400f 2.9GHz.. I can upload photos of the benchmark results or the benchmark itself. Can anyone explain this to me please?

Been having this issue where for 2-3 frames this will happen. I recently fresh installed Windows and had no issues prior, I also don't have any problems In-game and haven't noticed any artifacts while playing games and stress testing, curiously only observed It while watching Videos on YouTube. Tried re-installing drivers, gonna try DDU next, but any idea what this is? i've seen some stress tests for 30 mins and tenps are mid 70s and when i ran the stress test on same settings fter 6 mins my gpu was at 81 and than i just panicked and closed furmark but the in the 1 min test the score was pretty good(174 fps avg) and fps never drops, also my temp limit is 83 degrees. Can anyone tell if my temps are ok? (test was at 1080p). I've bought this gpu used for 1.5 years and thermal paste was changed but in gameplay it was ok. Here is a video i found:(idk if this guy has temp limit at 68 degrees or what)

So I was recently installing a few upgrades on my PC and when I boot it up it doesn’t work anymore. My running theory as to why is that in the process a friend of mine who was helping accidentally bent a few of the SSD pins. Once I realized that it was no longer booting up I removed the new RAM(same as the other ram) and the new RTX 3060. Still no luck. It is also a possibility that my power supply is inadequate, as my CPU uses 65-140W and the graphics card uses 550W, while my power supply only has 650. Any help is appreciated.

I could buy the PowerColor Radeon RX 6700 XT Fighter for 400€ or the GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6750 XT Gaming OC 12G for 460€. Is it worth it, paying the 60€ more? It's not that much performance, but the card is bigger and has more fans. Gigabyte is also better known, my friends have simular nVidia cards. Should I save the 60€ or will I get disadvantages? I want to have a silent computer.

When Nvidia unlaunched the 12GB RTX 4080, gamers rejoiced – But now that GPU is back as the RTX 4070 Ti. “Starting at” $799, is it the win we all hoped it would be, or is it too expensive for a 70-series graphics card?

Hi everyone, I just got a new PSU so I can look at buying a half-decent GPU now. An attractive option I came across was this GTX 1050 on local FB Marketplace. It is approximately the same price as the local going rate for 750Ti's, but it's condition is making me raise some questions. Do you think this would be a reliable purchase?
